Gaia's ears flexed upwards when he mentioned they'll fly, her tail swayed happily before she grabbed Ethan and pulled him into her arms.
She fanned her wings out before taking off into the sky; she did it slower than before this time, opting to spin quietly before she stayed in the air for a moment, before she gently flew to where the basement entrance was.

When she landed, she placed Ethan on the ground gently before she sighed. It was good to have someone not mind her flying, she didn't know if anyone was watching.
Her ears flicked around listening for anything around them.

As the phone hung up the figure lowered their phone. They looked towards the shadows behind them before they sighed.
"I feel like Gaia is in danger of being slaughtered." They spoke, their black cloak flickered behind them.
The voices whispered all together, drumming at the figure with words and noise.
"QUIET" The figure stopped and spoke loudly. The Voices all shut up for a moment, cracks appearing in the figures pure white mask. "Thank you."

Steph's face went red when Benjamin mentioned about a date before she gently moved to grab his hand.
April smiled before she paused, "Hey Benjamin." She started, "If you're free I'd like to talk to you tomorrow." She started, "If that's okay with you?"
Steph looked towards April as she spoke before that feeling resurfaced and she moved to grab one of the pills to take on the way back in.

This time the flight wasn't as sudden, and Ethan was actually able to enjoy the short travel through the air. He held onto Gaia's arms, even though he knew she'd be strong enough to hold him, it still felt safer this way. Even though the flight had been gentle, he was glad to feel the ground under his feet again.

Ethan went to the hatch and tried to pull it open. "Locked," he sighed. Of course it was. "Forget it," he grumbled, kicking the hatch, gentle enough to avoid any damage done, but hard enough to vent some frustration. He turned his back at it and looked at the dragon woman. He definitely wasn't going to use her as punching bag, even though she had offered it.

He was about to suggest something else to do when agent Barow joined them. He looked at Gaia, carefully hiding any contempt he felt for this monster. "I heard you're coming with us tonight. Make sure to wear a cloak, you'll draw too much attention to us otherwise." He turned to Ethan. "Come with me for a moment, we'll practice a little more so you're ready for tonight."

Ethan nodded and looked at Gaia. "I guess," he said, gesturing to the other agent, "I've got something to do."

"Tomorrow?" Benjamin repeated and he nodded. "Sure, I've got nothing special planned. If you're a morning person maybe we can have a coffee somewhere. This place or another coffee shop, around 9 or so. " He looked at April, he wasn't sure why she wanted to talk with him, but he didn't mind.

Gaia went to step towards the locked door before she paused at the sight of the other agent. She swayed her tail before she nodded at his words.
"I should be able to find a cloak." She said with a nod before she looked towards Ethan's words. "That's understandable. I'll be..." She hesitated as she looked around, "Around, I guess."

Her wings flexed as she looked around, there wasn't much for someone like her to do; Not without Harriet here.
"Have fun?" She asked, almost awkwardly.

April smiled happily, "I can meet you here at 9 tomorrow." She said with a small nod, "That sounds perfect." She looked back towards Steph with a small blink.
"If you need me. Text or call me." April softly spoke, almost an order to Steph. Steph nodded once before she looked at Benjamin with a soft smile.

"S...Shall we head off?" She asked with a sway of her tail. April seemed to wait for them to leave before she left, making sure the angels didn't come back.

Ethan nodded and went with agent Barow. He could see the older male didn't look happy, and if he had to guess it had something to do with Gaia. The agent had been very clear in the past about how he considered her a monster, so he wouldn't be happy she'd tag along. Which was too bad, because the boss outranked him.
"Where are we going to train?"
"Downstairs. Morrison is preparing a motorized dummy. You need to practice the staking against a moving target too."
Ethan nodded and followed the agent inside.

"Okay," Benjamin said to April, tapping the brim of his hat as a greeting, followed by a nod to Steph.
"Yes, let's go," he said to her, and he started to walk back to the entrance of the café. "You know," he mentioned, "I would like to try that Succubus Kiss once, but not today. The day has been eventful enough." He glanced to Steph as he said that, recalling she had spotted that cocktail on the menu. Although, if he was honest, that wasn't the only Succubus kiss he wanted to try...

Gaia watched Ethan leave before she took to the air again, spinning as she did so. She narrowed her eyes as she focused. She felt the air grow heavy, looking to the sky with narrowed eyes.
A storm was rolling in, and it was rolling in quickly. She continued her spin before levelling out- She fanned her wings out before she shot upwards into the clouds.

A figure watched from the shadows of a tree, they stayed quiet as they watched their creation disappear into the clouds.
The Whispers started again, before they lifted their hand to hush them.
"yes yes, I know." They spoke silently, "The leader would make an excellent vessel for you as well. I understand.

April smiled as they left, before she took to the sky and landed on the rooftops of the buildings.
"You're talking a likening to all of these mortals." A males voice echoed behind them, moving to sit on the edge,

April glanced towards the male figure, smirking slightly.
"Mack." She said, sitting down beside the Grey haired male.
Mack towered over April, his short grey hair fluffed up slightly, part glistening in the light of his Halo on his forehead.
"I'm glad you came~" April started, looking at the Angel Guard, "How's everything on your end in Hell?"
Mack rolled his eyes slightly. "Busy. Your siblings are running me up the wall." He said before April moved to kiss him on the cheek. "You're doing fantastic baby."

Steph looked to Benjamin before she hummed slightly.
"Maybe." She said, "It sounds incredibly sweet; Cranberry Simple Syrup, Raspberry Vodka with a bit of apple juice." She repeated the stuff on the menu, "And a 'special surprise', so says the Menu."
She didn't notice if he meant another type of succubus' kiss, she was just glad she had those pills in case anything else tried to pop up.

She stopped outside the shop and glanced at Benjamin.
"Hey I'm..." She started, "I'm sorry. I needed to get out of there... I had painful urges... Ya' know... Succubus stuff."

Mr. Johnson stood in front of the window and looked outside, his eyes following Gaia until she disappeared. The mystery caller annoyed him, or, more precisely, not knowing the identity annoyed him. Unless that person could come with very good reasons not to, he would dispose of that monster, regardless of their wishes. Then there was Carl, who was seen with wings. Maybe it was best to deal with that first. He typed in a message for him.
*Report to my office.*

Benjamin had a smile on his face as he listed to Steph talk about the most obvious Succubus Kiss and seemed to miss the hidden meaning. That didn't matter, maybe he just wasn't on her mind as she was on his. He stopped when Steph stopped and looked at her. "It must be hard to be plagued by those, is that why April was there?"
He could imagine what urges those were and a part of him wondered how it would feel to be subjected to them, but he reminded himself Succubi could be dangerous. Still, he trusted Steph.

Mike had finished his lunch and exited the place with Mitch and Stuart.
"What will you do now?" Mitch asked.
He didn't respond at first and avoided to look at his friend. "Nothing until I get an order," he said, "she is still part of the organisation. Unless mr. Johnson orders it."
"Right," Mitch said. "When the order comes, call me. I still don't believe you can do it."
"And if you have questions you can always text me," Stuart said.
Mike nodded and shook his hand, after which he followed Mitch to his car, so he could be dropped off at the base.

Carl looked at his phone as it went off.
"The boss wants to see me." He said towards Jase, who suddenly looked worried.
"No this is bad." Jase said, moving to step towards Carl. Carl gave a shake of his head.
"I'm going alone Jase." Carl said sternly, "I love you, but I don't want you in trouble." Jase watched his partner before he nodded once.
"Okay. Just... Be safe." Jase said quietly, moving to give Carl a hug. Carl smirked softly and kissed Jase's forehead before Carl moved to leave the room.

Carl walked towards the office, his wings folded but not hidden. He pushed the door open without knocking, as he knew that Mr. Johnson was waiting for him.
"You wished to see me sir." He said calmly, steeling his nerves before he looked around.

Steph gave a nod, "It just got too much." She said with a bit of a shake in her voice, "I had to get out of there, I was overwhelmed and it started to get to me. I contacted April, I knew she'd be able to help."

She breathed in and straightened herself up, "But I should be okay now. Hopefully these pills will help." She heaved slightly, "I've never gotten to the stage of desperation before... Well, I have once but I wasn't me- I don't remember any of it, the instincts just took over and..." She stopped herself from talking, closing her eyes as her hands moved to slip over her body in a hug.

Duncan stayed quiet as he finished listening to Harriet.
"So... Those powers...?" He started, Harriet gave a small shrug.
"I have not a clue." Harriet replied with a frown, "I haven't had anything from the book I read. Apart from the vomitting."
"That just sounds like Morning Sickness." Duncan teased with a smile, Harriet moving to kick him happily.
"Stop it you." She said with a bit of a laugh, "Don't even think about joking about that. Especially not around our parents or my brothers."

Mr. Johnson looked up when Carl entered and he nodded. "Yes. Explain that," he said, gesturing to the wings on Carl's back. A lot would depend on the explanation given. At least Carl didn't try to hide it, that was a good sign. Carl's record was good, a very capable agent. And in some cases he was willing to accept humans with powers, as long as they weren't bred monsters, dangerous demons, or fucking aliens who couldn't just stay on their own planet.

Benjamin put a hand on her shoulder. "it's fine, Steph," he said to her. "Come, let's go inside. The others will be waiting and it's time to head back to the base. I'm sure the pills will help when things get unbearable."
He opened the door and stepped inside, but holding the door open for Steph. Closing a door when someone still had to enter was just impolite. As he waited he scanned the room to see where Harriet and Duncan were and he soon spotted them.

Carl flexed his left wing out, looking at it before folding them back.
"From what I can remember." He started, "I've always had them. I woke up without memory and I had wings." He continued, calm and collected.
"I don't know when or how I got them, or if I got them when I was born." Carl crossed his arms softly, He closed his eyes, "I know I only have been here for about a month, but this was the first place I came."

Steph's heart fluttered when he touched her, but she nodded, smiling at Benjamin.
She followed him as they entered, Harriet looked up and waved at them happily.
"You guys okay?" Harriet called out, "Duncan got the bill! If we're finished we can head off!"

Duncan watched Steph quietly, before he looked out the window and up to the top of a building, narrowing his eyes momentarily.

"Hm," mr. Johnson said, examining the wing in more detail. "And how do you feel about the work we do?"
He had to find out where Carl came from, but for now he'd believe the man if he said he had lost his memory. Carl was a fine agent, but the mystery about his past was annoying. Maybe he could ask Harriet to have a look at the wings, the girl could fly so maybe he was part of her alien-kind. Although it did resemble the wings as angels often were depicted in paintings, so he understood why Morrison said that.

Benjamin walked to them. "We're okay," he said. "Let's go back to the base. We've had a long enough lunch break." And eventful enough, but it wasn't his place to decide what Steph wanted or didn't want to share. He took his cellphone to let both his friends know they would be heading back to the base. He soon got a reply from Mike that he was almost there and that Mitch would drop him off at the gate. He took this moment to quickly check another message he had received, as he waited for the others to start walking.

Carl shrugged at the question, "We're helping humans." He said, "We're defending the Earth. Sure we have some demons within our ranks but if they side with Earth rather than their own kind, I see no trouble with having them here." He paused, "It's dangerous to have them around, but if we put energy and research into keeping them calm and agreeable, then we can work with them."

Duncan nodded and started to stand up, Harriet following suit.
"Yeah, it'd be a good idea to head off. I have to stop in at the Station on my way back from dropping you guys off." He started, "I'll need to tell others about Daz all over again, Pull up those files and everything. Get the guys in on tracking down Daz again."
Harriet nodded in agreement, before she glanced to Steph.
She could read her like a book, she was worried, scared... Harriet couldn't tell why just yet but she'll ask later if she needed to.

Mr. Johnson looked at Carl and nodded. That was what he wanted to hear and Carl seemed genuine with his words. "If our non-human colleagues cause trouble, what do you think would the best course of action be?" he asked, deliberately not asking if Carl was willing to kill them. It was best to stay vague on his own intentions and allow them to fill in the answer themselves to see how their loyalty to humans were.
Morrison, Barrow, those were two agents he knew he could trust and his gutfeeling told him Carl could be trusted too, but he had to find out what his origin was.

Benjamin nodded as he started to walk to the exit. "Can you ask the department to copy the information and send it to mr. Johnson of the Paranormal Investigations?" he asked. "I'm sure our department of the government is known in the police force. It is one of his agents that could be in danger, he needs to know. And those gems are something we should be dealing with, not the police."

Carl blinked slowly as Mr.Johnson asked him that question- He had an idea of what answer he him to say, but he breathed in as he opened his eyes.
"If they cause trouble than they need to be disciplined, much like our human colleagues." He started, "I believe they should be treated as the same way as our human colleagues."

Duncan followed and walked beside Benjamin, he nodded.
"I should be able to do that, yeah." He started, "My Unit is a bit more of an offshoot to the proper department, but we have the resources to send stuff through."

Steph hung back a little, Harriet following suit.
"Succubus shit?" Harriet whispered to Steph, who nodded once. Harriet nodded solemnly in response. "I thought so. I'm sorry you have to go through that. Just remember, I'm here for you, Duncan's given me permission to do anything to help you." She gave a bit of a wink towards Steph, who's face flushed pink.

Mr. Johnson smiled. "I agree," he said, taking his phone to check a message as he received one. "That was it, really," he added, looking at the agent again. "Let me know when you remember things. And if you want I will help you discover your past."
After a final nod he didn't give the indication he had more to say to Carl.

"I'm sure we'll find this Daz if your unit and our agency both look for him," Benjamin said, looking back at the girls that were walking behind them. They seemed to be talking amongst themselves, girls chat probably, not something he had to stick his nose in, so he faced forward again.
"It's a nice place, I understand why you and Harriet go there," he said, just to make some small-talk. He wasn't one to walk to a car in silence.

Carl nodded before he moved to leave, folding his wings slightly looser to his back before he went back to see Jase.
Jase sat on the bed, visibly shaking until Carl came back. He moved and slung his arms over his workmate and almost toppled them both over.

Duncan nodded once, "I hope so. I'd rather not lose innocent souls to that bastard again." He said with a small sigh, "Having to call upon the Dark isn't something I want us to keep doing." He uttered, shuddering.
He smiled when Benjamin mentioned about the Cafe, "I know, it's brilliant." He grinned a little bit before He glanced to the girls, Steph's blush caught his eye before he smirked and looked ahead.
"I don't even remember how we found this place. I think I was patrolling while Harriet was battling someone," Duncan started, "I think it was early on in the relationship."

Harriet and Steph walked in silence for a moment, Steph thinking deeply before she looked at Harriet. She stayed silent as she looked back to the ground.
"I wonder what the next mission will be." Harriet said out loud.
"I mean, whatever Mr. Johnson has in store for you guys... I'm sure it will be fun." Steph started, obviously believing that she wouldn't be able to go on more missions.
It was obvious to her that Mr. Johnson didn't like her, She understood that none of the other agents trusted her- She was something they were fighting to destroy and then she comes in to work with them...
It made her wonder; Was she really a monster?

"How long have you been together?" Benjamin asked. They certainly had a happy couple vibe and that was great to see. It was something he wanted as well, to be in love with someone who loved him too, who he could take to café's or the park or ice skating. He couldn't stop himself from looking over his shoulder to Steph. Maybe he wasn't destined for regular girls, but he didn't mind. He knew who he liked and it didn't matter she had wings and a tail. Maybe he just had to stop beating around the bush.

When he looked ahead again he noticed they were almost at the car. That was good. That meant he could sit close to Steph again. And back at the base he definitely needed to take her somewhere private for an honest conversation.

Duncan blinked at the question, glancing back to Harriet when the question was asked. He could feel her eyes on the back of his head as he tried to think.
"I've honestly stopped... Counting." He said with a small laugh, "It's been over..."
"It's been roughly four years." Harriet interjected with a smile, "Its hard to count for Duncan because we've known each other since we were kids." She laughed.
Duncans face flushed red as he smiled and gave a laugh.

He moved to stop at the car door and pulled it open, despite the car being locked. The car's heating seemed to automatically turn on when Duncan opened the door.
Harriet bounced to the front passenger side and slipped inside with a grin. She looked back to the others with a tilt of her head and a smile.

"That's nice," Benjamin said. When the door was unlocked he opned it and entered the car. He looked to see where Steph was, there was only one more place she could sit. Since he had to wait he took the opportunity to check his phone, but no-one had sent any messages, so he put it away again. He glanced in the direction they had come from, he wondered what April wanted to talk about, but that was something he'd discover tomorrow.

Steph slipped into the car quietly, moving to buckle herself up without a word. She didn't want to brush against Benjamin at the moment, worried something would trigger something even worse than what she was feeling back in the cafe.
She looked out the window as the door closed and as Duncan started to drive back. Her mind clogged with several thoughts about what was going to happen in the future... What it held for her... What it held for anything between her and Benjamin.

Gaia was flying through the forest near the base, she twist and turned through the trees with very little effort. She moved and landed on a branch as her ears perked up. She narrowed her eyes as she listened to the found of footsteps, moving along the branches before moving to climb on all fours, silently slinking through as she got closer and closer to what she was hearing.
"Of course we're going to strike when they least expect it, I don't know what you're on about." A male voice echoed from a Meadow, followed up by the same voice but in a slightly different tone and pitch. "No no, I'm mentioning who we are striking, how do we know it's that bitch?"
"Because I was the one to find her here, you're useless!"
"Me? Useless!? I'm the reason you're here!"

Benjamin watched Steph buckle up and stare through the window as the car started to move. Since she seemed busy with her own thoughts, he looked through the window on his side and let her be at peace. On the way here she had even rested her head on his shoulder, now she kept a distance between them. Not just physically, it felt like she didn't want to look at him. He frowned as he examined the city as they passed it and he thought back to the lunch to see if there was anything that could explain this.
