So we've been running for two weeks now and much thanks to everyone for playing and helping us have such a good start. Since most of you here are newer Sol City players, I'll just provide a little insight into how we do things and what you can expect:
1. Time Skips here tend to generally run in the 2-3 week range depending on the players. This also seems to be about the length of time before people tend to want to move on from various scenes. At present we know most of you are in differing levels of interaction with other players and that is great. DO NOT take this announcement to mean that a time skip is imminent and we're going to move on without at least giving everyone a chance to get to a satisfactory stopping point. Please continue posting/interacting, there will be PLENTY of warning when the time comes. In the past we have found players tend to freeze like deer in the headlights when we mentioned transitioning time, so please don't, "wait for the next skip", use the notice to plan what you and other players might be doing in the future or reach a fluid conclusion to your interactions.
2. Next skip we are leaning towards is going to be Monday Night and for the first time we have TWO events planned for that evening so players will have a choice of what their character(s) will be doing. One event will be very public while the other will be more relaxed and low-key. With this in mind, I would suggest that you not place your characters in the same setting as you started. What does that mean? It means if you started off with your character at work, maybe have them doing something different rather than being at work again. This is the purpose of the events and it isolates your character(s) to have them repetitively doing the same things over and over and being in the same place again and again. There is a very dynamic setting for you to use that has been built over the course of 2+ years of the game- Go out and enjoy it!
That's all for now, let us know if you have any questions.
