Adam smiles warmly and takes Artimes' hand across the table. "I love the idea of combining our efforts, but I want to build it beside you, not just make you do the work while I finish schooling. That wouldn't be fair to you. And I'm sorry for being distant. I'm just worried about why we were all brought back together. Isn't it strange that we haven't run into the catastrophic trouble that we did last time?" he asks, grip tightening slightly. He releases her hand quickly and smooths the napkin in his lap. "Sorry. This isn't the best dinner conversation," he says sheepishly.
