Detailed appearance
Standing about 1.8 meters tall, Captain Harvester is physically imposing. His looks are athletic and lithe, and coming in at about 90 kilograms, he shows muscle in most areas. His hair, brownish black, lies to one side naturally, with piercing brown eyes set upon a face that is grimly determined to do any duty set before him. A line of facial hair stretches along his jaw, neatly trimmed and carefully maintained, and a long scar stretches from the tip of his left brow down over across the bridge of his nose before ending at his jaw. The evidence of haste is in the old wound, as it looks to have been poorly stitched. The uniform he wears is equally maintained as the man. His black boots are shined to a polish, and the command insignia on his uniform gleams from the attention paid to it. He chooses to wear a pair of black gloves with the uniform, the material looking to be somewhere between a leather and synthetic material. At his hip, a simple sabre rests in a sheathe, the blade has been made with a cortosis weave, with the pommel and handguard made to curl around the hand in a half basket. On the opposite hip is a blaster pistol in a black leather.
Report on skills and talents, including level of skill
Review of Captain Harvester’s personal and operational history has shown him a gruff, albeit good, officer. He demonstrates a remarkable ability to sustain discipline among his men. His talent for commanding his ship and the demonstrated knowledge of the limits of the troops and ships under his command exceeds that expected of a typical officer.
-Advanced and well practiced knowledge of capital ship combat tactics, including starfighter and bomber command, boarding tactics, and coordination with support troops
-Advanced armed combat knowledge and skill.
-Basic knowledge and understanding relating to ground troop coordination and ground battle tactics
-Advanced swordsman
-Advanced understanding of logistical needs in relation to fleet command
-Advanced pistol marksman
Report on known combat experience, training and weapons training.
Captain Harvester is known to be an able officer, experienced in dealing with rebellions. His prior assignment as the command officer on the C-Class Destroyer Intrepid involved numerous actions against rebels and pirates. His experience in combat both hand to hand and at range is notable, his training involved is noted to have both basic and advanced hand to hand combat and pistol qualifications, with him finishing at the top of his course for both. He was given command courses for the rank of Lieutenant, and he completed all training for a command role aboard a light capital ship. Additionally, there is sealed documentation regarding a temporary reassignment to the command of Sith Apprentice as Captain of their personal vessel. While brought up as a possible secondary topic of the interview, Captain Harvester requested that the event be skipped entirely.

Report on role, specialisation and responsibilities pertaining to the subject’s military deployment.
Currently, Captain Harvester is assigned to command a Gage class transport. Although it is noted that Captain Harvester is exceedingly overqualified for command of a vessel, that should by rights be given to a junior officer. His responsibilities extend to those typical of command, keeping his ship and crew in order and carrying out assigned objectives efficiently. As of right now that would simply extend to ferrying around troops and supplies for the Imperial Navy.
Detailed notes on political influence and associates.
Captain Harvester has little political influence within the Empire. Reports indicate what little influence he does have is in a small, localized area on his home planet. The degree of his influence is, however, negligible.
Detailed notes on known rivals and enemies, outside and within the Empire.
It is apparent that Captain Harvester has issues with one Captain Salven. The pair have apparently had a rivalry leading back to Harvester’s days at the naval academy. His commanding officer had Captain Harvester stripped of his command and reassigned to command of a Gage Class Transport after Salven reported Harvester was ignoring the movements of a smuggler across the border. Captain Harvester has submitted a request for his former command to be returned following an investigation that proved him innocent, the request is currently pending.

List of known all ownerships, including vessels, non-standard equipment, slaves and locations.
Captain Harvester has reported he owns a moderately sized home on Dromund Kaas and has invested somewhat into local businesses in his hometown of Kaas City. Other than this, Captain Harvester has apparently been stricken from his parent’s will entirely. He does possess a civilian speeder for transportation, and he owns a few slaves to maintain his home while he is away.
Psychological evaluation of candidate.
Psychological evaluation of Captain Harvester has shown that, despite numerous combat deployments, he has held up well under pressure. Captain Harvester does seem to have developed a death stick dependency that he indulges regularly. He also shows signs of consistent alcohol abuse, however his abilities in combat and command remain unimpeded. It is believed the habits were formed following the death of his former commanding officer. A few reports were filed about drunkenness of Captain Harvester consistent with this timeline. Following the evaluation Captain Harvester has been issued a warning and is under watch for further deterioration of his psychological state.
List and description of known and suspected flaws. To be put into restricted database.
-Drug Dependency: Captain Harvester mainly suffers from the aforementioned dependency. Dependency testing showed signs consistent with symptoms of withdrawal, including irritability, headaches, and nausea. It is believed that while Captain Harvester is likely not under the influence of any drugs while on duty, he is regularly under their influence off duty.
-Headstrong: It is noted that Captain Harvester has a consistent headstrong outlook, going so far as to follow his own intuition even up to insubordination. Despite the results it has yielded, it has put pressure on his relations with previous commanding officers.
-Gruff: Captain Harvester has no talent for hiding his distaste for others or conversations. His way of speaking and attitude towards those he views as unsuited for the positions they are in can be rough.
-Literal: Captain Harvester does not seem to have the social talent to catch figures of speech or secondary meanings to conversations. At times, this can lead to Captain Harvester completely missing the point of a conversation.
Known interests of the candidate.
Captain Harvester enjoys painting while on leave, though he does prefer not to speak about it. Many of his paintings have been sold at the personal request of several of Captain Harvester's peers, with a few even having been sought after by wealthy imperial officials. These paintings include landscapes and skylines, but by far the most prominent is fleet battles over specific planets. Additionally, he does not hide the fact that he enjoys reading and learning about battlefield history, even that which is not strategically relevant to his role within the Navy.
Major achievements on record.
Captain Harvester took overall command of the C-Class Destroyer Intrepid following the death of his commanding officer in the field near Oseon. Though the Intrepid had taken severe damage and was alone in the engagement, Captain Harvester defeated a small pirate flotilla. Following this he was given a field promotion to Captain by Fleet Command, which was later confirmed after the operation he was assigned to ended.
Shortly before his reassignment he was commended for taking initiative during a pirate ambush. While other officers of the fleet he had been assigned to suffered heavy casualties during an attack, Captain Harvester quickly adapted to the situation and attacked the pirate flagship. The pirates were not expecting the maneuver and the flagship was able to be boarded and taken quickly, the rest of the enemy fleet able to be quickly destroyed following the action and chaos among the pirate ranks. His decisive assault prevented the loss of three other C-Class Destroyers and their crews.
Major failures on record. Confidential.
A failed assault on a Republic held moon led to the loss of a number of craft and almost the entire complement of troops on board four of the five assigned ships of the flotilla. The defeat resulted in the fleet being forced to retreat back from the moon and await four rotations for more troops to be brought in. This was chiefly due to the reassignment of a number of support ships to defend the fleet in response to information received from a captured republic officer. The incident was investigated at the time, and while the defeat was unfortunate, it was determined Captain Harvester acted in due course in response to the information.
Personal biography, as detailed by the subject for use in imperial archives. Acquired shortly after last achievement of note.
The interviewer, Agent Colfac, enters the room. Captain Harvester is seated at a steel table.
Interviewer: Good evening Captain Harvester, i’m Agent Colfac, i’ll be conducting your interview. This is strictly routine, to be stored in the archives.
Cpt. Harvester: Very well.
Interviewer: Jek Alfec Harvester? Is that your full name Captain?
Cpt. Harvester: Yes, my mother gave me the middle name after my great grandfather.
Interviewer: It says here in your file you were born on Dromund Kaas, is that correct?
Cpt. Harvester: It is. I was raised in one of the southern residential districts of Kaas City.
Interviewer: Your childhood seems relatively average for that of an officer. I see that you were an excellent student.
Cpt. Harvester: Indeed. I was brought up to follow the rules. My mother and father didn’t want me getting into any trouble, they thought it would endanger my future career.
Interviewer: That implies that your parents envisioned you as an officer in the Imperial Navy?
Cpt. Harvester: They figured me to be more for the army actually. They even had me take extra courses based around the idea.
The subject is visibly disgusted while saying the previous sentence.
Interviewer: I take it from your tone that you were not fond of your upbringing?
Cpt. Harvester: I had attempted to select a different path when I was eighteen. It caused a large falling out, my parents and I have yet to be reconciled. I still haven’t spoken to my father since I left.
Interviewer: I see. Well, let’s move on shall we? You said you selected the Imperial Navy instead?
Cpt. Harvester: Yes, I had thought it a wise maneuver. It seemed to me there was more opportunity through advancement by personal merit.
Interviewer: I see from your grades that you performed well here too, it seems that you did take issue with some of your professor's teachings?
Cpt. Harvester: Yes well, I merely was vocal about my own opinion on some of the tactics they preached in the scenarios they insisted on teaching to us. I do not believe that any single tactic can prepare you for any scenario.
Interviewer: You were issued disciplinary action for insubordination?
Cpt. Harvester: Yes, well, the damned fools didn’t like me talking back. I was an idiot who picked the wrong people to mouth off to. I would have been done for if it wasn’t for Captain Forsec, I would have been kicked out of the academy. He saved my ass.
Interviewer: Captain Forsec?
Cpt. Harvester: Yes, my former commanding officer. He put a good word in for me following the incident, he was sitting in on the class. Apparently he had some clout with a few higher ups. The price was that I had to sacrifice a more prestigious posting once I graduated and come work under him.
Interviewer: I take it that you don’t regret this move?
Cpt. Harvester: Absolutely not. Captain Forsec taught me plenty about what it is to be a good officer, showed me how to command respect from your crew and how to run an efficient vessel. I have a lot of my success to attribute to him.
Interviewer: How long did it take you to graduate?
Cpt. Harvester: I graduated within four years of entering the academy.
Interviewer: I see. After gaining your posting, how many missions did you serve under Captain Forsec?
Cpt. Harvester: Five missions. I don’t really care to go into much detail over them.
Interviewer: I’m afraid I must insist on going into details over your final mission with Captain Forsec.
Cpt. Harvester: Very well. It wasn’t anything too fantastic, we were deployed to Oseon on the outer reaches of the Empire, near Hutt territory. It was just a routine border patrol near some side space lanes. Ideally we were just there to make sure no smugglers used them to ferry goods.
Interviewer: I see. What led up to the engagement with the pirate flotilla?
Cpt. Harvester: We were patrolling just north of the Hutt border when we picked up a few craft attempting to make a run for an asteroid field. It was a trap. I guess they figured they’d distract us and then jump away after the real smugglers got through.
Interviewer: A trap? What do you mean?
Cpt. Harvester: Well naturally after spotting the craft we got closer to intercept the craft. When our communications were not returned, we prepared to engage the craft. We figured it would be simple enough given that the ships we were chasing were small, likely a pair of smuggler transports. I never found out afterwards. When we got close enough to them though, five ships appeared out of the asteroid field. None of them were larger than corvettes.
Interviewer: Corvettes? Are you sure? It seems a little ridiculous given the armament on a Terminus.
Cpt. Harvester: Yes. Forsec must have gotten cocky or lax, one of the two. He didn’t bring the ship to combat alert and readiness. He just raised the bow guns to engage the smugglers. The pirates brought missiles. They hit the bridge, killed most of the command staff, including Captain Forsec. I still don’t know why the point defense guns did not deal with the missiles before we were hit.
Interviewer: But you survived? How?
Cpt. Harvester: I had been thrown behind a command console by the initial impact. I hit the body of another officer who cushioned me. I survived, he didn’t. The ship was up to scratch, and the air shields managed to close the breach before we were all sucked out.
Interviewer: I see. It seems the “severe damage” to the ship was relatively overstated then.
Cpt. Harvester: With all due respect, the command bridge is a key component of the ship, and the loss of the Captain and a good number of officers nearly paralyzed us. It took a few minutes before we were ready to get back to the fight.
Interviewer: What about the pirates? Why didn’t they try and flee. It seems to me a few minutes would have been enough time for their cargo to escape.
Cpt. Harvester: I don’t know. Perhaps they got overzealous and thought they could take out the whole ship with the bridge crippled? It didn’t work though. All of the enemy vessels were engaged and destroyed once I took command.
Interviewer: Minus the two smuggler vessels?
Cpt. Harvester: Of course.
Interviewer: When the bridge was struck, why did you take command and who had the authority to provide you with the field promotion you received after?
Cpt. Harvester: With the primary bridge disabled and the majority of our command staff dead, I took action the quickest. I didn’t question exactly why the other crew listened to me. When the battle was over, I contacted fleet command to report in, they were the ones who gave me the field promotion.
Interviewer: After the battle, when you were promoted, did those stationed on the vessel have any issue with you taking command?
Cpt. Harvester: Of course. They weren’t sure I was up to the job. But Captain Forsec had taught me more than enough to know how to control them. No one questioned my orders by the time I was officially promoted.
Interviewer: I see. Why did you continue the mission and not return to a star port for repairs?
Cpt. Harvester: I saw no tactical reason why. Our secondary bridge was in functioning order, and we had no particular damage to any other systems, so I determined that we were capable of continuing our mission. Additionally, we were not a combat patrol, simply border control, so it was doubtable we would even have a problem with continuing the patrol.
Interviewer: What of the bodies of those who died in the fight?
Cpt. Harvester: I was given the sanction to incinerate the bodies by fleet command, so I did so.
Interviewer: Very well, that should be enough. Shall we skip ahead to your latest accomplishment? Tell me about the ambush.
Cpt. Harvester: It was a surprise attack on my ship and a few others in the task force. We were being sent to deal with a group of pirates who had been attacking imperial shipping. There was nothing special about it. They attacked and took out the engines of the other destroyers. I did precisely as was expected of me and charged the ambush to give the other ships time to make repairs. Without maneuvering thrusters they were dead in the water. Once we had held the pirates off long enough, we were able to handily destroy them. There was nothing to it.
Interviewer: You are certainly humble about such an action. I see here that despite this you were reassigned by your commanding officer and subsequently recommended for demotion. Any comment in regards to that?
Cpt. Harvester: It is a petty squabble that came about from a mistake I made. Nothing more.
Interviewer: Hmm… I see. What sort of mistake was this?
Captain Harvester is visibly angry.
Cpt. Harvester: Captain Salven was an upperclassman from when I was in the naval academy. I happened to correct him one day during class, it was apparently a rather large embarrassment to him. He has hated me ever since. Recently I had been placed on patrol status with the Intrepid near hutt space. I had dismissed some readings from our sensors that turned out to be a smuggler’s ship. Captain Salven was nearby with his ship Defiance, and happened to catch the smuggler that evaded me. He used this to accuse me of purposefully ignoring my duties, and my commanding officer believed me. I was stripped of the command of the Intrepid and then he recommended me for a demotion. An investigation proved me innocent, but it was all rather stupid, and meanwhile I am still stuck waiting for my command to be returned.
Interviewer: I see. Well then, no further questions.
