Bakuto 'The Living Dragon'

Location:Bar of the Bulls' Masts

Listening Bakuto eventually stops tapping on the table and listened to the captain and Adrian speak to each other. When the captain and him were done talking. Bakuto then says, "Put half of my split into the ships funds Captain. We should keep some money on the ship stored up for a rainy day."

Bakuto then stood up standing up slowly because of the added weight of his clothing he was wearing. Sitting there made him nearly forget what he was wearing. Stumbling around a bit like a drunk but Bakuto never once had a drink during the entire time within the tavern. Bakuto then says "We has until dusk then? Very well then. I can show the two new members to the ship if you two want. If not or afterwards I can pick up a few things before we leave Loguetown."

Bakuto steadies himself and looks like he is getting ready to leave he then remembers something about the grand line. Especially after hearing the captain talk about navigational tools. He quickly says, "By the way captain when you look for the navigational tools, we will need something other then a normal compass. From things I heard, ordinary compasses wont work in the Grand Line. We will need a special compass...what was it called again. A log compass, no it is a log pose. We will want to procure one of those either right after we enter the grand line or before or we will be wandering around the grand line aimlessly just to be hoping we can reach an Island." Bakuto then says, "Anyway, I'll be heading out now. Rather not sit in one place for too long." Bakuto then waits to see if either of the two now new members of the crew were going to want to be shown to the ship or not before leaving.

“I know, that is what I’m planning to buy, the seas of the Grand Line isn’t easy to cross,” Alesia got up and moved to the table of fortune telling. That cold brown eyes glinted towards the pirate Captain.

“You know its impolite to look at others’ fate,” That fortune teller flipped the cards face down, then revealed one card on the center of the table. “Interesting, yours is the sign of Ravens.”

“Putting that aside, I can see that the wolf is a ‘human’ that ate the Canine Canine Fruit, of the Arctic wolf subspecies.” That fortune teller stood up and let out a familiar smirk. “I go by the name Arafael.”

Alesia had no idea what that fortune teller been going about. Scruffy? Impossible… She glimpsed an oddly familiar shape of an outreached hand, slowly descending upon her head. “I didn’t get to see you clearly from the last time, but you’re really short.”

“Get your filthy hands away from me, Scruffy!” Alesia slapped Arafael’s wrist away with her full force.

“You were much nicer with those headpats of yours,” Alesia’s cutlass sprang out from the scabbard almost immediately after the last few sentences of Arafael’s mouth. She grasped on the sword so tightly that her hands turned white, she was going to make those words his last. Arafael drew out his swordbreaker from the reaches of his leather cloak, slamming the edge of the blade towards the table.

“Ten tonnes,” Alesia leaned her full weight towards the mahogany table, as it collapses into plywood and splinters, Arafael’s deck of cards fluttering along the scene of the barfight. Just when she was about to break his throat with her sword, that tall man that called himself Arafael shrank into a very familiar creature, a wolf of white elegant fur, with the same brown eyes, ‘Scruffy’.

“I’ll be taking my leave from here, in courtesy with that ill temper of yours~” The wolf sprang forward with his four legs towards the edge of the windows, and it seemed that he was about to make another escape from the Scarlet Pirates.

Bakuto was getting ready to leave but something stopped him as he waiting and watch the captain talk to the fortune teller. Suddenly it was revealed that he was the wolf. Another zoan type user it looked like. The captain was rightfully angry at the former pet that deceived them. Bakuto also shared this anger. As they were talking Bakuto removed the cloaks and extra weighted gear.

Then the captain went to attac the fortune teller but it began to make its get away. Bakuto sees the windows he then says, "Nah I don't think so..." Pushing all his personal strength down to his legs planning on attempting something he hasn't done before. Bakuto says, "Shave!" Using the six powers move he hasn't attempted before the ability to move at great speeds Shave(Soru) As Bakuto moves it isn't at blinding speeds. Just slightly above normal, and he was off balance sprinting forward he slams right into the wall next to the window going right through, instead of stopping like he had intended.

Once he crashed through the wall. He stands up and looks towards the hole in the wall he made and looks around for the wolf man. He then says loudly, "Come on you think you can up and leave like that? You lied to the captain and her crew. You think we would let you leave after that? You're a zoan type user I see. Wolf type it looks like. Zoan types are rare and Predator types are just as rare when you look at those fruits. But you see mine is even rarer. So yeah try and run. I'll catch you and drag you back to the captain in whatever state I'll leave you in."

Bakuto seemingly not letting going through a building get to him and not showing like he was affected. He just focuses on the building believing he made it out first taking a stance to get ready and stop the wolf from getting away. Not quite transforming yet. Holding back his zoan powers and trying to rely on his own strength in his natural form. He was a former marine captain. Before his time with the devil fruit powers he had the combat skills to fight as a captain of the marines. The fight with that strong Lieutenant, getting out matched by him has spurred this on. Bakuto had something he must prove to himself and he was going to do that by trying to captain this former pet now traitor of the scarlet pirates.

Great. It seemed a situation had arisen and he'd only joined two minutes ago. At least he could prove his worth to Alesia this way.

"Allow me, Captain," Adrian replied calmly, before he apparently vanished. In reality, had just used Soru. It was a simple matter to dash after the wolf Zoan, and as it happened, Bakuto punching a hole in the wall helped him escape. He was functionally invisible as long as he moved at this speed, and his daggers, throwing darts, and chloroform rags were all in arm's reach, concealed in his suit.

The wolf wasn't getting away. But even if he could catch Arafael, subduing him was another story. But the odds were in his favor.

If he can get away from all of us when I'm using Soru, Adrian thought, he deserves to run free!

The wolf Arafael’s pair of eyes glinted at the technique from the dragon. The set of dozen steps of the assassin’s technique. Arafael stopped on his paws to see on what that former marine was about to do. It was a surprise to see a person Bakuto using those techniques, but the direction is a bit off, he didn’t need to dodge that ‘shave’.

“You talk so much on the raw power of Devil Fruits. Didn’t you learn anything from that battle with my teacher?” Arafael taunted that dragon of his defeat against Shakar. Arafael kicked one of the tables, and it snapped into pieces from one of the gales and winds of Alesia’s blade.

The familiar sound, scent and wind reached his ears. The dozen refined steps of an assassin. A properly performed technique of ‘Shave’. That crew have been attracting those dangerous sort. Arafael the wolf howled at the Nightblade Adrian. Hidden in his mouth was a loaded pistol, as the sound of gunshot rang out at the same time as Adrian completes his dozen steps.

The bullet burned a hole in one of the confetti of cards, as it soared headfront to that Nightblade in his top speed. The wolf have his cold snarly eyes on Adrian, watching on what he will do next.

Taunting him, the wolf taunted Bakuto. He heard the wolf talk about his teacher the Lieutenant that fought him like he was a novice. Bakuto says his voice sounding like a growl, "So that Lieutenant was your teacher. Good to know, you seem to be very confident. I wouldn't be so confident until you escape."

Nearly snapping right then and there. Bakuto was tapping into his devil fruit powers Bakuto's skin turning scaly and increasing in size slightly. Going for his human zoan form, his rage fueling him. Then he remembered why he didn't transform yet originally. Arafael's teacher was the reason for why he started training to improve his abilities. So he didn't have to rely on his devil fruit powers so much any more.

Suddenly he stopped transforming as Bakuto calms himself down. He looks towards the wolf trying to make a point to keep himself in his human form to capture Arafael with his own strength in his standard form. Quickly coming up with a plan to utilize the abilities he can use. Bakuto jumps up and turns in air until he faces Arafael then he kicks as hard as he away from the wolf, "Moonwalk!" Using the ability Geppo to jump off the air but instead using it to launch himself at the wolf. Then bringing his hand forward quickly "Finger pistol!" Using a finger pistol technique Shinga ability enhanced by the Geppo as he launches himself at the fleeing wolfman.

Luckily for Flint, by the time the chaos at the bar started he had already left. Not to say he was without some degree of suspicion regarding that fortune reading. He had chosen not to ask about the other cards and instead left. Somehow he new trouble was in the air and while he'd like to help he also wanted to get those supplies he said he'd get. It was going to be a big trip and they needed to be well prepared especially with the new crew coming in.

As he walked to the merchants he thought about also perhaps needing to upgrade the boat. Wasn't there a giantess coming aboard? That little sloop would be pretty uncomfortable with all these people, especially a giant. He also thought about that news he was told about the pirate. "So a noble is playing pirate. Sounds like I'm being set up to take care of a problem on behalf of someone. Of course it could be more complicated too. After all even absolute justice can be bent if you're the right type of person, like this Duke.

"What'll be yer order sir?" The merchant said breaking his thought.

"Oh right, hold on.." Flint said in response. He then rattled off a list of various supplies of which food was large percentage of. It also included medical supplies, powder, cannonballs, and other various important things. He'd paid it and then oversaw and helped out the loading of the supplies with the dockworkers there.

The Finger pistol technique. It was better performed than Bakuto’s ‘Shave’. Arafael’s fur thickened, its tail lengthening as the figure stood up in his two legs. Arafael’s Hybrid form almost towered towards the ceiling. His arms and legs are roughly as thick as a pillar. Arafael’s Whit Fist clashed against the Living Dragon’s Finger Pistol.

One of the tables flipped towards Arafael in midst of the chaos. It wasn’t a problem for him, not with that strength of his Hybrid form. With one howl of his oversized canines, Arafael pummeled the Mahogany table.

“One ton.” Alesia was hiding behind that table. Using her weight shifting powers, Arafael got pinned down from the adrupt weight of the harmless-looking table. “You know, I never lose in a barfight.”

“Somebody, tie him up!” Alesia leaned above that table, as Arafael shifted back into his smaller wolf form, eyeing to escape with the extra gap of space created from his sudden transformation. ”Bakuto, your jackets, Hurry!”

That weighted clothing would be good enough to restrain him.

Bakuto's attacks were now fended off by the wolf zoan type user. Clashing with his finger pistol technique as he attempts to fight this wolf man. All the fight came to a half when the captain put the wolf under a table. Weighed down by the Captain's weight devil fruit powers. Bakuto lands on the ground and hits the finger pistol into the floor next to the wolf. Bakuto snarls, "Give me a reason and next time I wont miss. Playing us like fools you are lucky the captain is nicer then I."

Bakuto hears the captain and backs off long enough to tie the wolf up in his weighed clothing Bakuto, "You might try and provoke me, but remember this. You aren't the only one with zoan powers. Maybe one day we will see what a wolf is like when it faces an angry dragon. Anyway, good news to you. There is a new position on the ship I would think, the ship prisoner. Now when you wake up you can take up your new job" Before any question could be asked of what Bakuto mean. He pulls back and hits the wolf man in the head with almost all his strength. Holding back enough so he wouldn't kill the poor wolf man but enough to hopefully knock out the wolf then he says aloud almost jokingly, "Or he can be fishing bait, if we ever want some fresh sea-king."

Without looking at the captain Bakuto says, "Give my half of the treasure cut to the bar owner. That should pay for the hole I made in the wall and maybe get us a supply of rum for the ship with how of much is left after the wall is paid for. I'll carry this guy back to the ship. Maybe put him in the brig or tie him to the mast or where ever I can put him on the ship." Bakuto then calls back, "Hey little big lady. We are going back to the ship. If you want to find out which ship is ours, follow me. Looks like we need to get going soon" Bakuto goes and tries to pick up the weighed table to get to the wolf man he tied up he was going to carry him to the White Pearl.

Arafael flinched instinctively following the attack from the Dragon Bakuto. So much for him trying to slip away from that table unnoticed. Just before he could open his mouth, he felt a slam on his head, then blackening out at the scene of the bar.

Alesia lightened on her own weight after that scuffle with her pet wolf, and stood up from that mahogany table. From the way it looked, it was a good thing that Arafael is still in his wolf form. Capturing a wolf would be less suspicious than kidnapping a human. Tying that wolf of his small size with that layered coat was an easier task also.

The bartender accepted the half of Bakuto’s treasure, not hiding a frown of his bushy eyebrows, “Quite a generous amount to recompense, but its still a hassle to do the repairs. I’ll keep my mouth shut as long as I need to, but I’ll politely ask you pirates to scram.”

Alesia pushed open the swinging doors of the bulls’ mast, “ “I’ll get some equipments for the ship, the White Pearl will be setting sail by the evening.”

Evening at Loguetown Harbour, White Pearl

Alesia walked up the gangplank, placing down a crate of goods along the creaky ship decks. Inside it contained Log Poses. It was the right thing that Alesia bought. Just a Hundred of Those, along with Navigation tools like telescopes and rolls upon rolls of parchments and. “There was a sale… They might be useful someday…” Alesia stated, glaring towards the other side of the port. She was not going to say that she got duped into a sale by a very convincing and persistent merchant. And that was how she spent all her Ten Million cut of the plunder. “So how goes Scruffy, or Arafael, so as he calls?”

She expected to see him tied to the masts or the railings.

Going back to the ship, after paying for the damages, and buying a few barrels of alcohol he carried all the barrels and the prisoner back to the White Pear all at the same time. Not really surprised the wolf stayed out cold during the trip. He did hit him rather hard to knock him out.

First thing Bakuto does was tie their new prisoner up to the main mast. Using a bit of rope to tie his hands up above his head and to keep him bound heavily with as much knots he could tie up. Not leaving up anything to chance with this zoan type user. Bakuto wanted to throw him into sea so the crew didn't have to deal more with Arafael then they had to. Bakuto needed something to do, he couldn't really go shopping for stuff on the island. He just used his money to pay for the damages he caused in the bar.

Quickly putting the barrels away into storage. That he just bought for the crew. Part of him couldn't wait to crack into the barrels but that had to wait until later, since this is the start of a back up reserve Bakuto got. Once back on the main deck of the ship Looking around the ship Bakuto figured he could do some exercising until it was time to leave. Grabbing a bit more rope and a box of cannonballs. Bakuto was going to do a bit of exercising to use up his time up before his crew had to set sail.

Location: Evening on the White Pearl

Location/Time: White Pearl That Evening

"Two thousand ninety eight....two thousand and ninety nine....three thousand." Bakuto once again hanging upside down from the main mast near the prisoner so he can keep an eye on him. Bakuto was upside down with fifty cannonballs inside a box tied to him doing pull ups. Barely aware of how much time has passed. He had focused on pushing his body to its limits during his exercises trying to strengthen himself.

He stops when he heard 'So how goes Scruffy, or Arafael, so as he calls?'. Bakuto looks around while upside down and sees the captain boarding the ship. Bakuto looks at the tied up prisoner and answers plainly while completely disregarding that he was upside down, "Not sure, I know I hit him pretty hard. I'm pretty sure he didn't croak on us. He was breathing still when I tied him up"Bakuto relaxes a bit when tied up upside down from the cross beam of the mast as if that was a normal every day thing.

The box of cannonballs that was tied to his waist barely misses the ground. Bakuto used it to weigh himself down during his latest exercise. Bakuto looks down at the box, he was actually thinking he needed more weight as he looked at the box. He was waiting for the captain's orders before doing anything just yet.

Loguetown

A wolf tied to the masts in more knots than Alesia could discern. That would be awkward had it been on any other situation. Taking out a Log Pose from the crate, she looked at the needle that pointed to a certain direction. That would be the first island that they would be heading towards. But for now, that wasn’t something to be counting on for much, not when they are still in East Blue. Unmooring the ship, The White Pearl set sail off the Harbour of Loguetown.

The Red Line

As the White Pearl approaches the charted area of the Red Line, storms of grey clouds roared the skies. Then the storms of grey converged into thick black clouds. Gales and winds gushed abruptly from various directions. Even the flows of the sea was chaotic. No signs of any birds or seagulls at this point. Just a mountain standing in the way. To call the Red Line a mountain would be to call the sea a puddle of water. An enormous cliff that stretches towards the clouds, its height doesn’t seem to end at that point yet. It is said that the Red Line stretches across the globe, Alesia didn’t believe in those tales wholeheartedly until she saw it with her two eyes.

Alesia spun the ship wheel, steering the ship towards one point where the waters converge. A river that flow uphill, it is the entrance of the Grand Line known as the Reverse Mountains. Even then she could hear the faint snores of the ship prisoner. Sleeping while the crew is on this treacherous voyage, despite being tied to the mainmasts. For now she would leave that wolf Arafael alone. Better let him sleep than to wreck havoc at this crucial moment. He is going to get it once he wakes up. Whispering to herself a long line of curses, Alesia then shouted out orders to the crew, ”Lower the masts! We’ll be heading into the Reverse Mountains!!”

After setting sail on the White Pearl, Bakuto helped get the ship on the right way to head for reverse mountain to get onto the grand line. The place many journeys begin for pirates looking to conquer the greatest part of the sea. Bakuto gets to start the same journey as the rest of the crew of the White Pearl.

Since leaving the docks of Loguetown Bakuto did what he had to help get the ship ready for Reverse Mountain. While continuing his training to improve his skills and strengths. When the captain finally spoke up about Lowering the Masts they were arriving at Reverse Mountain. Bakuto was cleaning the deck of the ship, while carrying on his back a three crates worth of cannonballs. The moment he hears the captains orders. Bakuto drops the mop and takes the crates off his back. Quickly moving his shoulders finally some relief from his latest training method.

Sprinting to the masts Bakuto began adjusting sails and lowering them to the proper place to catch the winds. Trying to remember his marine knowledge about Reverse Mountain. It was a dangerous way to enter the grand line, but it was the only way for pirates to do so. Bakuto calls out once he remembers some important details, "We have to be careful, if we get on the wrong water current then we will be crashing into the rocks Captain!" Calling out the important details as Bakuto didn't want to start this journey with them crashing the ship on their first start onto the grand line. He was trying to think of ways he could help keep the ship on course. Thinking of what could be done, but right now, it was just steering the ship right and the Captain was the one steering the ship so there wasn't much he could do at the moment to help the ship get onto the grand line, except for tending to the sails.

The Reverse Mountain

“Right ahead!” As the ship enters the reverse mountain, Alesia made sure that her ship is in the correct currents of waters. Any mistakes here, and they will be crashing onto the Red LIne like what the Dragon bakuto have warned. It was much worse than sailing through a storm. And right ahead of the Scarlet Pirates, was quite a beholding sight to see. A canal of water that flows upwards from the turbulent waters of the Four Seas.

The ship of the White Pearl treads on the river of the Reverse Mountain, from the treacherous waters of the Red LIne. “We’ve made it,” Alesia put her hands off the ship wheel, checking by the railings as the stormy clouds resided. The ship ascends along the river that lead to the very top of the Reverse Mountain, making its descent down to the Grand Line.

“So, I’ll just have to follow on where this thing is pointing to?” Alesia asked Bakuto, looking at the log Pose. She wasn’t certain on how the first island would be like. The most dangerous sea is up ahead, Raftel is said to be where the last island points to, the island of the Pirate’s King Treasure, One Piece.

The sun from the top of the Reverse Mountain cast a crisp of yellow. There was one thing that would catch Adrian’s attention.

Flint’s sword of the starry night has a semblance to the Sword of Adrian’s Master. Its just that the one from the late Nightblades’ leader wasn’t Seastone hilted.

The Ship of the White Pearl enters the Grand Line via the Reverse Mountain.

The Grand Line- Argin Kingdom

The chef took a detour along the Quarters of Duke Benniad. Outsiders call him by this name: ‘Rel’chunk’ of the Seven Warlords. That wasn’t what a lowly chef would know, he was actually a spy loyal to the Late King. The true heir of the Kingdom, deposed so easily from the efforts of Duke Benniad. Nothing more than a pirate that appeared in this Kingdom for a mere decade. Yet he knows that Benniad now have the true influence of Argin. The King’s death wasn’t just a mere coma. What that accursed pirate could do isn’t unheard of. Just his band of Privateers were a pain to begin with.

The privateer Ezequiel sat along the Duke’s Quarters, taking a sip of tea along the marble fireplace. An Autumn Island here, but the ‘folded fire’ gave him enough ambience of his hometown. Ezequiel, a man with drooping mustaches along his sides of his chin. His brown hair dangles along the shoulders. His 'folded light' caught sight of a suspicious chef. “There’s someone outside, Benniad.”

That was one of the few tricks from his Captain’s teachings, and he’d admit that he wasn’t any good apprentice. Back before he met Duke Benniad, or what he often refers as ‘Rel’chunk’ , he wouldn’t think of using his Devil Fruit to such extent.

“Took you long enough for you to notice,” A tall man of an imposing presence, with a pale face that appeared dreamy. The Captain’s skin is as pale as the waning moon, and a long draping suit of the colour of the night. His heavy tone suggested a scorn,”You’re still careless of your Devil Fruit, you should use it like it’s a part of you.”

The chef noticed a flicker of light that came out of nowhere. Instinctively, he sprang himself for the windows. The Marbles’ rim folded itself together shut. It wasn’t just the window, the exits along the corridors are all cut off. A tint of blue surrounded the chef. Rel’chunk!

By the time he noticed the cyan tint, it was already too late for him. Benniad’s abilities are known far and wide amongst the nobility. The rumoured ‘Turning’ from the Lord of the Evening. The place right where the chef was standing no longer any place that he knew, nor even anywhere within Argin Kingdom. He is now part of his ‘dream’. The fearsome ability to turn nightmares into reality, the Dream Dream Fruit. “Your duty to the last King, my identity as Rel’chunk. All of these, shalt be dreams you forget.”

That chef collapsed as the cyan tint receded away into reality. Rel’chunk’s capability with his Devil Fruit was often a frightening sight for Ezequiel. His Captain is out of his league. “Shall I take down the ‘Spear of Ravens’, Duke Benniad?”

“There’s no need for such hassle, the ‘Cutthroat’ will finish his job.”

Bakuto 'The Living Dragon'

The descriptions that Bakuto heard of reverse mountain didn't do it justice. As he seen it, and as the White Pearl climbed up a mountain in a small water way that barely was enough for the ship to fit in. Going all the way up the water way then down. This was an amazing way to start ones journey into the grand line for sure. Defying the laws of the normal sea has fallen and going into the new rules and laws that the Grand Line follow. As the ship landed Bakuto was a bit distracted at first. Looking around with wonder, this is the most legendary ocean and Bakuto is getting to see this for himself. One of the things Bakuto wanted to do as he decided to take on the life of a pirate is too see things like this. See the legendary things within in the world. The journey has just begun but here was Bakuto getting excited at the beginning of everything on the grand line.

Quickly Bakuto was broken from his distraction of looking around when his captain talked to him. Bakuto looks towards Alesia then when she asked about the log pose he answers, "From what I know that is how it works. It will point at whatever Island we are going to first then we head over. From the stories I have heard, we are going to want to keep an eye on that or we might end of way off course. Also when we get to the first island. We may want to discreetly find out how long we have to stay on the island for the log pose gets locked onto the next island."

As Bakuto walked around the ship he stops in front of the prisoner still tied to the mast he then yells out, "So what are we doing with our new friend here? The sea is about to get more dangerous soon with the unpredictability with the Grand Line. If he gets loose we add another danger to the crew we have to worry about. Maybe we wait until we get to the first island to deal with him. Then again we also could stick him in a barrel and just throw him off the ship. Or just throw him off the ship, because we know for a fact he wont be able to swim." Bakuto looks down the tied up zoan type mostly to check to see if the ropes were still good so he doesn't escape just right yet before the crew or the captain figures out what they were going to do with him.

The White Pearl

“As of that guy Scruffy,” Alesia grabbed the Sword of the Starry Night by the scabbard, carefully making sure that she doesn’t touch the Seastone Handle. Flint could hold that thing without a problem, however…

“He’s a Devil Fruit user like us. That Sea Prism Stone, I’ll try if this could drown him.” Alesia tapped the lump of seastone on the former crew pet. It was almost like a reverse of how that fortune teller transformed. The white thick fur and the canines reverted back to that of a tall yellow haired man. The knottings of the ropes strained as his mouth and ears reshaped itself into the face of the fortune teller. The scar along his cheeks was more apparent in his human form.

Arafael let out a yawn, his grey eyes squinting against the bright afternoon sunlight, taking a glimpse of the current surroundings.

“You’re at the Grand Line, Scruffy.” Alesia was surprised to see Arafael rather unfazed despite the seastone. She’d almost drowned the last time she touched that thing,”How did you do that, its like that drowning stones didn’t do much to you…?”

“Oh, thanks for the trip,” Arafael replied nonchalantly, “Its just a matter of getting used to the feeling of drowning. There’re prisoners in Impel down who get cuffed in seastones for their whole life.”

Just then, a merchant ship was sighted from a distance. As they saw the White Pearl, the crew of the merchant ship quickly tackled their masts to make for the run from those pirates.

Bakuto takes a seat in neat the strung up Arafael. He then says first addressing his tone more at his captain rather then the prisoner he was looking at, "Yeah, our new acquaintance here speaks somewhat the truth. The drowning feeling normally fades after a bit, but it leaves us devil fruit users feeling very weak and powerless. You could hold that stone a while, and all you will feel is just being drained off all strength."

Bakuto's attention quickly shifts to the prisoner then he says this time directed at him, "You seem to know a lot about the cuffs. Spend some time previously in a marine prison? I would guess Impel down but then again you are here and nobody leaves Impel down well prisoners at least. If my memory serves me well from chasing after you at loguetown you seemed to know about the Lieutenant, that we had a run in with. Who was or rather who is he?" Bakuto looking for answers to that random fight that came out of the blue. Bakuto wanted information on that old man should he ever have to do battle with him again.

The questions and answers though would have to wait, as Bakuto looks around a bit staying aware of his surroundings. He stands up and sees the merchant ship. Merchants on the grand line? Well Bakuto didn't know what to expect on the grand line. He knew people lived on the grand line but he didn't think he would see a ship of merchants so soon. He looks at the ship appearing to be tackling up the sails to deal with some pirates. Bakuto comments out loud, "Well they seem to be expecting some trouble. But if they attack us, then they certainly will have that trouble they are preparing for."

Bakuto walks towards one of the box of cannonballs that he had used for his training exercises then says, "So Captain, what do want to do about that ship?" Bakuto wasn't one for wanting to attack Merchants. But he was keeping his eyes open for hostility. Even opening the box up if things escalate above just simply seeing another ship.

Decks of White Pearl

“I’m a Marine Lieutenant. Originally my mission was just to spy on the affairs of the Brown Isles. And there you took down the pirate Valar, he was quite a troublesome one.” Arafael yellow eyebrows creased into a frown. “Captain Falir and Lieutenant Shakar would’ve crossed the Calm Belts by now, rather than this lengthy voyage.”

“The Nests of Sea Kings? You’re joking.” Alesia snorted, crossing that stretch of sea was an unthinkable voyage of its own.

“Shakar was already a retired marine when I enlisted. Heard that he use to be that of a higher rank, not that I would want to know much about him anyways. Really, you should be wary of my Captain’s Crows and Seagulls. Her Whisper Whisper Fruit allows her to fluently understand the Language of Birds.” Without much regards to the Pirate Captain Alesia, Arafael gave his answer to Bakuto with a notable smirk, a clear semblance of the expression shown back when he was in his more fluffy form.

“Of course we’ll be seizing that ship, Don’t let that plunder get away from us!” Alesia took on the ship wheel, veering the White Pearl towards that Merchant ship.

Soon, the White Pearl caught up the Merchant ship with its pursuit. The White Pearl meets the Merchant Ship by the Broadsides. “We’re Pirates, hand over your ship goods and nobody gets hurt!!” The Scarlet Pirates’ captain announced her demands.

“Don’t lie to us, you think we’ll hand over Prince Bayonnes to you scums of Benniad?!” One of the ‘merchants’ flashed out his rapier, followed by a few more who drew out muskets. “For the Spear of Ravens!!!”

“Seems like they aren’t well convinced…” Alesia pulled out her cutlass, she wasn’t sure on what those merchants were going on about, but she was prepared to seize the plunder, in one way or another.

Bakuto 'The Living Dragon'

The answers given to Bakuto he found interesting. At least the man who treated him like a novice was someone in the marines who was once a higher rank. It didn't make Bakuto feel any better but at least he knew no. Also he had that Captain that was mentioned to worry about. He didn't have to worry long, once his captain saw the ship she made the command to go after the ship and so the White Pearl decided to go after the Merchant ship.

Bakuto fight the urge to sigh, this was one thing he wasn't looking forward to as a part of the life as a pirate. Taking and robbing random ships. He had no problem fighting and going against Marines or other pirates but Merchants were different. Yet Bakuto wasn't going to disobey his captain. As the Captain made the demand of the merchant ship and those on it to hand their stuff over. They seemed to refused and looked like they were going to attempt to fight back. Bakuto then says, "If they aren't convinced allow me then Captain..."

After a short few words Bakuto then let loose a pillar of fire into the air using his Dragon devil fruit to breath fire into the air to make a big show of force to get those on the Merchant ship to surrender peacefully without having to fight them. Bakuto then starts tossing up and down the cannonball he was holding in his hand with ease then yells, "Might want to reconsider not standing down! We are pirates! Powerful pirates, just hand your stuff over. Gold, rum whatever hand it over or prepare to fight a dragon!"

Adrian "Shadow" Hex

Well, this was what he had signed up for. A pirate's life for him, huh? He disliked pirates. Somewhat intensely in fact. But he had always been willing to compromise his ethics. He had killed for a living for the past few years, and then the whole thing came crashing down after he left. One man and his little daggers couldn't fix the world. He'd known it now for so long.

Besides, more likely than not the riches on that ship were going in some World Noble's pocket. Better they go in his hands than some fat despot's paws.

He stood on deck, pulling out one of his daggers and getting ready to resolve this without fighting if he could.

Then they started talking.

Prince Bayonnes? Scum of Benniad? What were they on about? Had the crew just stumbled across a conspiracy of some kind? He'd never operated in a place called Benniad. And he had no idea who these so-called Ravens were.

It sounded juicy, but it also sounded like something way in over their heads. Still, it could be interesting.

He decided to get into the intimidation game. He took out a long metal dart, speaking at a loud volume to be heard from the other ship.

"I'm afraid I have no idea who this 'Prince Bayonnes' is, nor do I care. Hand over all your treasure or a hundred of these darts go through your hull and out the other side at the speed of sound."
