Holly - Rooftop - Damian and Rob

Holly put away the food and water bottle she offered. "I'll try to be as useful as I can possibly be. As for the walker situation, we could maybe make barricades with abandoned vehicles or something around a cleared area later. Maybe one day we'll have the entire city cleared of all walkers... Of course that'd take a couple years with just the three of us." Holly was a very hopeful person. "That church tower seems like a good spot for a shelter. Do you have any actual beds in there? Or will we have to rest on the cold floor?" Being comfortable was a last priority, but still something to consider. While waiting for an answer, Holly started to lower the ladder back down to the ground. Even though it's polite to let ladies go first, she'd prefer it if one of the boys did instead.

James Feryana & Shannon Green - Random Store

James sighed in slight relief. At least he wouldn't get shot by this woman, Shannon. "I'm James." He said to Shannon, his scared whimpering returning into actual words. The boy sat down on the ground, and rested his hands on his lap, his eyes looking down at Woman's weapons; A pistol and a police baton. James' eyes then looked back at Shannon herself, and said, "Well, um, if you're on your own, can we stick together?" In his mind, James was terrified in case he got backstabbed, but he desperately needed someone fully human to be with. "It'd be nice to have someone else with me."

Lynn and Jessalyn - Railroad Tracks - Floyd and Grimm

Lynn put her arm in front of Jess. Great, now they had two men. One with a skull on his head and another who sounded like a redneck. "And aiming an arrow at a pregnant woman is gonna make us trust you?" she snapped at the redneck before turning her attention to the skull wearing biker. "And if you think I'm going to let her on that death trap you're an idiot."

Jess stepped forward a little, patting her friend's arm. "Lynn, it's okay," she said to reassure her before glancing at the two men. "I'm Jessalyn. And this is Lynn. I appreciate the offer," she addressed the skull man first. "But I really don't think I can ride your motorcycle in my condition," she laid a gentle hand on her belly before looking at the other man. "If you feel the need to have a weapon pointed at us, please do not aim for my baby," she asked.
Jessalyn wasn't afraid of death. She had seen it too many times. She was afraid of her baby being hurt or killed.

The sound of a man's dying scream of agony reached them. Lynn braced herself in front of Jess and Jess cowered behind Lynn, covering her stomach protectively.
Not far away from them, at the entrance of the city, a man stumbled into view. He had a walker on his back, biting his neck to pieces. Jess closed her eyes and turned away as he fell over and the walker continued to chew his neck and face to shreds. His screams gradually died away.

"Too far away for me to get a decent shot," Lynn said and turned to the younger woman. "Jess, stay here. I'm going to go kill that walker and that guy before he becomes a walker," she glared at the two men. "I am assuming each of you will keep the other in line for a few minutes while I take care of this. If this girl gets so much as a paper cut I will cut off your manhoods and feed them to walkers. Got it?"
"Lynn," Jess said, groaning a little. Sometimes she was so... violent.

While Lynn walked off Jess sat down on a large rock, a hand pressed against her back to relieve some of the pressure there. "I'm sorry about Lynn," she said to both men with a smile. "She worries about me. And we've learned not to trust new people... especially men..." she added quietly, memories of the attack replaying in her mind. Back then no one could tell she was pregnant. Hopefully now that it was obvious men would be less likely to hurt her. At least that was what she hoped.
Jess tried to hold out hope for people. She prayed that this outbreak and the subsequent hard times had not caused people to lose too much of their humanity.

Movement in her stomach made Jess gasp slightly. "He's more active today then usual," she said out loud, trying to make friendly conversation. "I haven't been able to find a doctor, so I don't know how far along I am. But Lynn thinks I still have a few more months."

Railroad Tracks - Grimm Departing

Grimm rolled his eyes at Lynn. He was getting kind of pissed at the older woman, and he wouldn't doubt to slice her neck open if she continued to pester him. But then he heard a redneck talking to him and pointing at them with an arrow. Grimm just laughed at his stupidity and sighed. He wouldn't deal with such a waste of time in front of a pregnant girl. As much as he didn't care wether a baby was growing inside Jess, he knew she had to be protected. "Nevermind then...I guess you shall do as you want...For I won't stop you from doing such a dangerous and stupid decition. If you do want to touch contaminated water, then go ahead, go to the river. I won't risk my own welfare." With that being said, Grimm held his sickle hard and looked at the redneck again, giving him a hateful look before hopping onto the bike and turning the engine on. He accelerated and sped off into the distance, back into the city. He would start to clean the city: examine abandoned houses, killing remaining walkers, etc. He had nothing to lose at least, he knew the rest of the country would be in the same state. So for now, there was absolutely no way out.

After fifteen minutes, he stopped by a 7/11. He took off his machete and sickle and stomped the door open. He was ready to slaughter anyone who came across.

Floyd - Railroad Tracks - Jessalyn/Lynn/Skullmam(Grimm)

"Who do you think you're talkin' to girl? You had your weapon pointed at the Skullman here yourself, so don't come judging me. I'm protecting myself as you protect that child!" Floyd angered, pointing at the baby barer. She was a young girl, probably still in her teens. Having a child in this world was basically a liability. A child's mere cry would call forth all the walkers in the area. This was the reason Floyd preferred being alone, because in his mind, it increases ones survival rate. The Skullman himself seemed to have the same thoughts because he vanished on his beast. So now it was just him and the child barer Jessalyn. Floyd pulled his bow away and packed his arrow back into the quiver strapped to his waist. "You from around here girl?" he asked Jess as he walked side to side, looking back at Lynn making sure she didn't come back to surprise him with a bullet to the head. "And where's the father huh? He get bitten? Or did he just leave after all this shit went down?"
Day of the Incident

"Breaking News! The epidemic known as 'the zombie virus' has overrun the streets of Washington. The president is being escorted by military personnel and will most likely be taken to a safe bunker. We are here outside the white house, watching the helicopter take flight. This is a live broadcast! Oh wait, I think the pedestrians are approaching. Oh wait! No! NOoooo!..........tschhhhhhhhhhh......"

"Freakin' radio! Damn rich folk ripped me off. Shit!" he yelled as he smacked the radio off the wooden log he was currently sitting on. He was in the woods outside of his cabin building a fire to get lunch started. He had just hunted down a wild boar and was preparing to cook it. He had already skinned it completely and couldn't wait to eat. With a brief blow, the fire was aided to start. The red flames created sparkles in his eyes as he watched the fire burn brightly. He hooked parts of the boar-meat to sticks and laid them close to the flames.

Suddenly, the radio static paused and the emergency broadcast sound turned on. Floyd turned back to the radio, getting a tad worried by the sound.

"The following message is transmitted from request of the NOPD - New Orleans Police Department. Several authorities have issued a warning for the following: Henderson Mary, at two thirty five pm, reports from East Counties, has issued an outbreak of highly contagious virus. Some reports claim the outbreak started in the East Counties Lakeland Medical Pavilion site hospitals. Symptoms of this virus include: Loss of coordination, confusion, and eventually, certain death. Reports have also claimed that those infected have acted out in an extremely violent behavior. Citizens are extremely advised to avoid anyone with these symptoms. At this time, these counties are under quarantine until further notice. As a safety precaution, Eastern Counties are advising citizens to stay in their homes until the situation is dealt with. Stay tuned for further details as they follow" and then the emergency broadcast sound returns.

"What the hell is going on out there?" Floyd questioned himself. Without wasting time, Floyd went into his cabin to pack. He was near the East Counties and was not looking to be infected by such disease. If the 'news' were telling the truth, soon his entire location would be breached by the infected. He put out the fire beneath the boar-meat and packed away some canned foods along with water into his bag. He would remain in the woods, but camp out somewhere else. Farther from the city. He took the radio with him, but kept it silent until he figured out for sure what was going on. He was basically in the outside world, so everything that went on in the cities of New Orleans, he did not know. Sooner or later, he would have to go into the city to find out one way or another.

Rob-Rooftop-Holly/Damian

Not enough supplies, Which means he had greater reason to only stay for one night. "The walkers may come back, but it's usually a bit less, and that's progress" That was somewhat true. Rob listened to Damian rambled on about proving or something like that. He didn't really care, He'd learned to just faze it out. That tended to help him, just faze the crap out. "Uh-huh" He mumbled. "Well,bell tower it is I guess" Rob added. He gave a small chuckle as he heard Holly talk about how they could clear the city. Great hopes are the ones that fall the hardest "Well let's go....Who goes first?" he asked as Holly put down the ladder, he looked at the two. "Me then....I guess" He looked around for a second. Then proceeded to climb down the ladder. When his feet touched the ground, he backed away and gave a thumbs up.

Jack-Alley to Railroad-Floyd, Lynn and Jessalyn

Jack was about to help the boy up when there was a clatter from further down the alley. Jack stood and stepped back warily, the boy in front of him doing the same. Just then a walker lunged out from the shadows. Jack was fast enough and dived clear however the boy was not as fast. The walker managed to catch his leg and drag him into the shadows, the sound of screams pierced Jacks ears to be quickly cut out by the biting of the walker. It was happening all over again. He just didn't seem to be lucky with children, he stumbled off from the floor and out of the dirt running in the first direction he saw. He didn't care what or who he ran into he just wanted to get away. It had all happened so fast. As Jack ran the scene of a town and city were replaced with a more industrial setting. Railroads replaced pavement and trains replaced the apartments all around and as he got further into this area the sign of people became more clear, burnt out wood and empty cans of food were tucked away in corners of carriages and a single motorcycle track led along the mud. Finally clearing another corner Jack came upon a group three incredibly mismatched people, normally the ones you could trust the most, as the motorbike he had heard earlier was revving off. Falling again he had to claw himself out of the mud one last time before approaching the group slowly, again raising his hands.

"Please, are you guys bitten. I can't run much further."

Jack didn't want to appear so pathetic but he had a problem with how this infection mercilessly took children and the recent event had shaken him.

Shannon Greene & James Feryana - Random Store

Shannon knew he was going to ask. It was written all over his face. She instantly regretted knocking on that window now, even if she knew there was no way she wasn't going to have done that. The thought of traveling with someone new so soon after Lexi made Shannon feel just awful. "I... Well..." She stammered, realizing there was no way she could say no. Her mind drifted toward all of the people that had left her in the past. Her hands balled into fists, knowing that the same fate would befall James or herself eventually.

After a moment of silence, Shannon nodded. "Okay, let's stick together." She looked down at her weapons. "I didn't have much of a plan in mind, but I've been looking around for supplies. How about you?"

Tom - Railroad Tracks - Jessalyn/Lynn/Floyd/Jack.

Tom finished freshening up, he placed his hand under the bottom of his shirt; raising the cloth to his face.. patting his skin dry. He gazed over his shoulder, he could of swore he heard talking.. and then the roar of a motorcycle.. maybe the other fellow left-..?

Tom found that it was a good idea to find out the reasoning behind the whole ordeal and what went down, since he couldn't quite hear /everything/ that was said or did in the process of the conversation, he hoisted his rucksack farther onto his shoulders.. he looks to his left and right, seeing nothing but.. trees. It was the only time he really had felt safe and security in the past few months, he could bend down.. take a drink, without a care in the world - he couldn't do that before.

The boy walked back where he came from in the woods, soon seeing the light that shone down upon the woods; and then the train-tracks, where he noticed two individuals - and one walking offwards down the tracks towards some infected, he bit the corner of his lip in nervousness.. he pulled on his suspenders, snapping them on his skin-.. he adjusted his Amish Dress Hat, which had a raised telescope top.. the hat worn was suitable for people in the amish community for ages twelve to fourty-five, so he still had alongtime to make use out of it. He made himself presentable.. he didn't want to look like a slob, and then he slowly walked out of the woods-.. he stood beside the tracks in some gravel now, he could physically touch the woman and the man if he wanted to at this point..

He turned on his heels, not of his shoes-.. he was barefoot, he was dressed in nothing but some grey Amish denim pants, his black hat, his suspenders, and a grey sleeveless vest which showed his scratched up wrists, and arms-.. from walking into rough terrain where thorns protruded.

Tom gave a slight wave of the hand towards the two.. now three, as he noticed a man who had also ran up from out of nowhere.. he greeted himself in a soft-spoken voice, barely audible.. "D'-.. d'ello, I-I-.. I'm T-Tom.. I-I w-was w-watchin' f-from b-back there.." you'd really have to listen to hear him, he's quite choked up.. his main trait is that of being shy, very shy.. semi-mute. He chews on his lip nervously with his hands behind his back, his fingers interlaced with his other hand.. nervously awaiting a response.

Brandon - Church - Julia, Alexander, and Quinn (NPCs). - Nearby the rooftop.

Churches had been always about worshipping the God, that made this planet and life. If there really is a god, how could he let us suffer and watch those 'geeks' walking around? Brandon and Alexander just got done by sealing the door with the benches so the 'geeks' don't get in and eat their eyes or something. "Man, moving that bench made me tried." said Alexander as he sat at another bench near Brandon, "Are you such this will work? I don't want another suprise attack like last time, mate.". Brandon turned around and said, "We'll make this goddamn Fort Knox if we have to." he walked away for Alexander and towards Julia and she said to him, "Alright, all of the doors and windows are shut and have wooden planks on it. But, are we such that we don't want to leave one door open?". Quinn heard that and turned to Julia and said, "No aleast you want to be eaten alive, then by my guest." and Julia gave him the middle finger and said to Brandon, "In case of anyone knocking on the doors.".

Brandon thought that was too risky and said, "We can't do that, too many of them 'geeks' around. Maybe later on?" and Julia smiled after he was done. Brandon then walked to Quinn and see if he check the kitchen and said, "Have you check the kitchen yet or are you just sitting there?" and he turned and said, "I'm sitting around, I don't feel like I should fucking do it.". Brandon rolled his eye and said, "Get some sleep, I'll go check the kitchen you lazy ass." and Quinn just smiled and lay on the benchs. Brandon picked up his bat and walked to the kitchen door as he pushed it open. He saw the kitchen to be untouch and nothing was moved, Brandon walked in and looked around. He then opened the fridge and find some food and said, "I found our dinner, mates!". Suddenly a few zombies came out of the door and walked towards him, He said, "Oh shit!". The group heard Alexander and picked up their weapons and ran towards the kitchen, Brandon saw a female walked and swinged his bat towards her head, causing it to hit the counter top and bleed to death. Then Alexander and Quinn arrived to help Brandon while Julia hid under a bench. Quinn had a fire axe and swinged towards a male zombie and it went to his head, cutting it in half. Alexander was the last person to kill the last zombie, he took his shotgun and fired on the zombie. Brandon turned in anger and shouted, "They could of heard us for miles away!" and Alexander responded, "I throught you were thankful to fucking live!". Quinn stool between them and shouted, If you keep shouting, they will come for such!" and Alexander walked towards Julia while Brandon put his hand on the face and said, "Thank you, Quinn. I'll go check to the tower.".

Brandon turned to Alexander and he didn't look at him but Julia. He then though about the bell tower and said, "Somemust check the bell tower out." and Alexander responed, "That someone is you, Brandon." and Julia also choice him and Brandon said, "Fine I'll go, stay here and ready you weapons, in case things go to shit.". He threw his bat towards his backpack and grabbed his pistol and opened the door towards the bell tower. It felt like something will jump him and killed him but he kept going and looked above and found the trap door He stepped away for the door and aim his gun towards the door and waited until it opened.

Polyester-Church-Brandon,Julia, Alexander, and Quinn (NPCs)-Nearby the Rooftop.
Polyester was raiding a nearby store for supplies, finding nothing but a can of food. As he went arouind, he felt a feeling of dread, as if something was going to happen. New Orleans was quiet today, none of the walkers showed their faces so far. He took out a worn piece of papers and looked at the sheet.
Objective 1: Find other survivors.
Objective 2: Find resources and tools to build a boat or a helicopter
Objective 3: Stockpile supplies
Objective 4: Get out of the city.
Not a single one of these objectives has been completed yet, despite him being at it for at least a week. He turned towards the church and heard a shotgun blast. Despite his better instincts, he walked to the church and stepped over the dead walker bodies, making sure they were dead as he went.He knocked on the church door in hopes for a response.

Floyd - Railroad Tracks - Jessalyn/Tom/Doc(Jack)

Instinctively, Floyd jumped in front of Jessalyn all while removing an arrow from his quiver. He loaded his bow, pulled the string back, and pointed the sharp arrowhead at the good doctor. The white lab coat was covered in filth, he was no longer of high status anymore. His knees were staggered low, seemed to be injured, or maybe just fatigued. Either way, he was not welcomed. Floyd had a hard time accepting people he barely knew, especially those that had more money than him and thought themselves as the elites, aristocrats. "Stay back! And I should be asking you the same question. You don't look so good there doc."

Then within the next few seconds, another figure appeared. This one looked as bad, or even in worse condition than the doctor. He didn't even have any shoes. To make things worse, Floyd couldn't even understand what he was saying, it just sounded like a whole bunch of jibberjabber. He was basically a zombie already, mumbling and moaning like the undead. "Did a walker bite your tongue off boy? Speak properly. What the hell do you two want? Tryin' to rob us? Cuz ima let ya' know I ain't afraid of you! I ain't afraid of nothin' you hear?!"

He took a step forth, taking an offensive position and prepared to shoot if they moved a muscle. Shoot one in the head, drop the bow, pull out the knife, and jam the other in the neck. It was that easy. Floyd couldn't even tell if they had any sort of weapons, that was the issue. It wouldn't be smart to attack head on if they did. One mistake here and his life would be over. For every choice there was a consequence, it's logic.

"How bout' you two just get goin', we ain't got nothin' to share." Then a second thought ran his mind. Why was he using the word 'we', when it didn't even involve the girl behind him, he wasn't with her. What did her safety have to do with him? He just met the girl and is already a part of their group? That'd be irrational and stupid. Once can't just trust strangers like that, it doesn't make sense. It was just her damn innocence, that was what was messing with his head.

Jessalyn - Railroad Tracks - Floyd, Tom, Jack

Jess's smile vanished when the skull man left. "I'm sorry," she murmured as he rode off. She hadn't meant to offend him in any way.
When the man questioned her about the baby's father she winced and struggled to hide her discomfort. "He... He left..." she said, tucking hair behind her ear. "He said he would bring me somewhere safe if I... if I slept with him... and he left me here with Lynn and never... never came back."

When the two people appeared and the man jumped in front of her Jess became scared there would be a fight.
"Please!" Jessalyn said, covering her stomach instinctively. "Please don't fight," she pleaded. She put a hand on the man (Floyd's) shoulder before looking at the other two. One looked like little more then a child.
Her eyes went to the doctor's coat. "You're a doctor?" she asked, her voice hopeful for the first time in a while. "Please... I'm pregnant. I don't know how far along I am. I don't know anything. I don't have much food, but we have water if you would please examine me, tell me that my baby is okay."
Her eyes went to the man beside her. "Do you mind?" she asked. She didn't want him to leave like the skull man had. She didn't want to be alone til Lynn came back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lynn - random store
Lynn had reached the walker and killed it with a head shot. The man he had gnawed on was still moaning. She sighed as he reached up to her.
"Sorry buddy," she told him and stabbed him in the forehead with her knife. He was dead anyway and there was no way she was going to risk a walker this close to Jess.
As long as she was this close Lynn decided to hit one of the stores, in case she could find something. The stores nearby had been pretty much picked clean, but you never knew what could have been missed or left behind. Some food would be excellent right now, or maybe a change of clothes so Jess wouldn't have to go wash today.
Climbing through one of the broken windows, she started going up an aisle of a store, heading for the back storage area.
Tom - Railroad Tracks - Floyd, Jack, Jessalyn.
Tom meant no harm in his intentions, yet he was about to be treated as if it were the other way around. He watched in utter horror as the bearded man pointed his bow at the man in the labcoat, loaded and everything, and then the man turned towards Tom, giving a strong put-down based upon his speech.
Tom stuck his hands slightly upwards in the air, his legs about buckling underneath him due to the fear that was overwhelming his senses at the moment.. he didn't ask for any trouble, nor was he looking for it - so he decided to explain his intentions towards the man, but he couldn't speak much louder than he did previously. He bit down on his lower lip.. he gazed to his left and right nervously, speaking oncemore in the same tone-.. his normal soft spoken voice, which wasn't very loud.. but quite shakey, all the same. "I-I.. I mean n-no harm.. I-I.. I'm n-not going to r-rob you.." Tom looked to be unarmed, not a weapon on him besides a hunting slingshot which was secured to the back of his rucksack, and a knife aswell just next to the slingshot which was encased in a nylon sheath.
Tom swallowed hard, he lowered his hands back down towards his sides when he felt safe in his sub-conscious that he wouldn't be shot at.. he did it slowly, and in a non-threatening manner.. his hands just slowly gliding towards his sides. Tom doesn't know what else to say.. he's at a loss for words, just all shook up from the situation that is going on currently.. he keeps eye-contact with the man.. he doesn't want to show disrespect and then get an arrow through his throat.
EVENT
Figures gathered around outside the church. They were wearing black and had red bands around their arms. All had guns.
The raiders knew there were people inside. People who looked like they had some supplies. And anyone with supplies was fair game.
One of the raiders pulled the pin off of a yellow cartridge in his hand. Kicking open the door, he threw it inside. Smoke began to pour from it. The raiders, cloth over their nose and mouth, ran into the church shouting.
"Down on the ground!"
They proved their point by firing indiscrimnantly, not caring who or what they hit. Less people to fight was better for them.
Brandon - Church - Julia, Alexander, and Quinn (NPCs). - Nearby the rooftop.
While Brandon was checking out the bell tower, the three people within the church didn't talk to each but when they heard a knock on the back. Julia got up and walked to the door and Quinn said, "Don't you dare open the door, miss." and she just avoided him. She walked to the door and was ready to open, but then smoke began to appear out of nowhere and heard someone said to get down, but she wasn't going to die. Julia opened the door and shut it quietly and saw a man and quietly said, "Don't kill me, please. Raiders are in the building, help me."
While Julia was begging for the man for help, Alexander and Quinn were too late to leave and couldn't see due to the smoke. They also heard gunshot but Alexander was shot in the arm by and yelled. When the smoke cleared, the man grabbed both Alexander and Quinn and said to them, "Are you the only ones! Are you!?!" and Alexander said, "Yes we are the only ones, don't kill us in the house of the God.". One of the raiders laughed and said, "You make me laugh sir, theres no God. Not anymore." and the another one grabbed Quinn and demanded to know where are their supplies and Quinn said, "It's in the kitchen, get it and leave please.". The man smiled and said, "There will be food tonight, mates! But, we need a place to stay." and another man said, "What about this place, it looks big and large enough to make this a home.". Quinn said, "We just have to leave right?" and the men laughed and said, "Well I don't know, you look like shit heads. We'll have to have a look around this place and see for ourselves." Alexander and Quinn didn't want to die outside and become one of them yet they didn't want to get a bullet in their heads.
Brandon heard the gunshots and the smoke and he saw the trapdoor and opened it up and climbed up onto the bell tower and didn't see anyone. That sound must of been something. But then he saw a group of people, but couldn't see what gender were they. He shouted and waved his arms, "Help! Someone is in the church! They'll kill us!" he needed help as soon as they can make it over there.
Floyd - Train Tracks - Jessalyn/Tom/Doc(Jack)
As Jessalyn shared her life story with him, Floyd huffed. A stupid choice like that ruined her chance of survival. At this moment, he felt anger towards the guy who did that to her though. For some odd reason, people who take advantage of others are worse than wealthy scum. His head turned left to see her with his peripherals, but kept silent as he turned back to the kid. He planned on speaking, but words just wouldn't come together.
The stuttering kid then began to talk. His words continued to take fluid breaks, which furthered Floyd's irritation. "Shut your mouth! You're pissin' me off! Can't you speak normally?" he yelled as his bow string became tighter. He was prepared to shoot the kid in the face, it annoyed him that much. Suddenly Jessalyn started to speak to the doctor. Apperantly she wanted his help for the baby's sake, but was prepared to let a stranger 'help' her. Just like the incident with the guy she had sex with for protection.
"Do you mind?"
Floyd put his bow down and backed away from her. He couldn't believe this girl. She was falling right into the same situation as she had before. Floyd just couldn't process what was going through her head. This overheated situation continued to escalate because he felt he was the only sane person there. "Why the hell are you asking me? Do whatever the hell you want girl, you ain't my problem" he said loudly, putting his arrow back into the quiver and strapping his bow to his backpack. Trusting strangers just like that will get you killed.
Floyd then turned back to the kid. "You wanna help her too? Go right ahead!" he yelled at him, walking passed him and laying on the side of a rail car. His arms were crossed and was most obviously pissed. He was thinking whether he should walk away or stay, but couldn't make up his mind. In reality, he wanted to stay, but for so long he'd been fending for his own that he didn't know anything different. Most people go crazy when being alone for so long, but it wasn't like he was isolated from all society. He still went to town from time to time, but it wasn't like he had friends or anything. He hunted to eat, he hunted to live, that was Floyd Conlon.
Damian - Rooftop, way back to the church - Holly, Rob
Damian briefly looked at Holly as if she was stupid, clearing the entire city seemed like a hopelessly naïve goal. While he wasn't aware of how many people New Orleans had originally inhabitated, he was certain it would take far too long to clear out every single walker in the streets, there were tens, hundreds of thousands by his rough estimate, nearly every inhabitant of the city had turned. Those that hadn't provedan even greater threat, he was sure that there'd be several survivors wiling to stand in their way. He sighed and shook his head.
"I've only managed to haul one matress up there, I prefer to sleep off of the grond level, makes it harder for walkers to reach you if they'd managed to get in. The windows of the chruch have been boarded up, but it's not guarantee. There should be enough cushions from the benches and maybe even an odd blanket around if you care to look hard enough."
He didn't bother to wait for Holly to head down the ladder herself, like so many other things these days, chivalry was truly dead. Not that Damian had ever truly ben introduced to the idea of chivalry properly even before everything went to hell, but had he bee, there was little doubt that there'd be nothing left of it by now from surviving in such a harsh an lethal environment.
Admittedly, he wasn't overly excited about peple feasting on his supplies and sleeping under the same roof as him if they proved to be dishonest, but a life without human interaction was hardly a life at all, so he made his peace with it for the time being, he could always change his mind afterwards. Taking the lead, he walked off briskly in the direction of the church, trusting Holly and Rob to follow close behind. He had learned that standing still too long with your back exposed o walking too slowly left oyu an easy talking for a walker that thought your neck was a tasty bit of meat. It was safer now with someone watching his back now, he realised, another benefit of a group, he supposed.
His route took them through as much back alleys as he could, The streets were still infested, and there was less chance of walking into a zombie where normally humans wouldn't wander as much either.
A walker that looked as if he could have been Damian's grandfather if his face wasn't crawling with maggots groaned up from behind a dumpster as he spotted the group heading towards him, but with one blade stabbed into his sternum to keep his grasping arms at bay, and the other blade brought in a firm horizontal slash that seperated half of skull from his jaw, Damian made short work of him, at the expense of getting some disgustingly smelling, caked dead man's blood on his shirt though, at which he grunted in dismay.
Before he managed to reflect on this however, his thoughts were interrupted by a gunshot, coming straight from the direction of the church. "Damn it! He cursed, bursting into a jog to traverse the last distance before the church came into view. He was only just in time to see the group of raiders slam open the doors and head inside, blasting at everything that might have been there. Damian supposed he had to count himself lucky that he hadn't been there when the raiders began. As good as his swords were against walkers, they weren't as effective against guns. His throwing knives might prove better, but it still wasn't the same as a gun. Up until now, he had always aoided other survivors or the ones that he hadn't been able to avoid didn't have guns. Now he knew where they all went. Keeping his voice down, Damian cursed several more times, unable to have done a headcount of the raiders even. All of my things are in there, things I worked months to gather! He gestured angrily with the tip of his bloodied blade towards the entrance of the church, glancing over his shoulder towards Rob and Holly to read their expressions and opinions. Grimacing, he looked back towards the bell tower,where a person was making a lot of noise towards them.If they could hear him, the raiders probably too. in Damian's mind he was little better than the raiders though, he too had been in his hideout, probably stealing his things. There was no telling on how many walkers would be attracted to so many gunfire and shouting either. This was bad.
When Holly heard the gunshot she knew the group was in trouble. Not only was there a new survivor who could possibly want to harm them, but walkers would be coming to the area soon. She could tell by Damian's expression that he was about to go on a rampage. Holly realized that she no longer had a shelter and no where to rest tonight now. She was so tired of running away. They had to move on though, so she had to run. "I guess we can't sleep their anymore," she told the others. Holly could hear growling in the distance. In a paranoid manner, she started to ramble quick ideas on what to do next. "Damian you need to get your supplies. Then we need to get out of here. Maybe we could go inside a man hole and take the sewers as a safe path. Or go back on the roof." What Holly truly wanted to do is ring that big bell on top of the tower and then douse the walkers in the town in gasoline, then proceed to drop a lit match on them and watch them burn to ashes. They lacked the matches and gasoline though. Not to mention skill.
