Bio

Thanks for taking the time to read this. So, internet alias being Alarieth. I'm a 21-year old male with several years experience in roleplaying. That being said, I'm not a native English speaker, so bear that in mind please. Even so, I don't think my roleplaying suffers from it.

Yeah, I think we lost our King. @Alarieth, you there?

Valorian wasn't surprised at all when Vauch dropped to one knee. In fact, he would have been somewhat surprised if he didn't. There were only a hadful of people in the entire kingdom that had earned or had been born with the right to talk to him as an equal directly, even though even they would call him 'your grace' or 'majesty', not even his wife had been exempt of that rule. Someone as young and new as Cleo therefore had no right to presume to do any differently and behaved accordingly. Thankfully, Valorian didn't let him remain on the ground for long, stretching out his hand and flexing his fingers, gesturing for him that it was alright to rise so the king could look him in the eyes.

"Yes sir! Everything is quiet in the halls, and the responsibilities and duties give me the great opportunity to better myself and my skill."

He gave a single nod in acknowledgement. His question had been an obvious one, but the last thing he could use was a Kingsguard who'd forsake his duties and be inattentive on the job or someone who couldn't give a clear answer. If something had truly been amiss, there would have been a good chance he himself would have detected it by now, yet he knew that he had to rely on the skills of others as well to rule his nation. No war had ever been fought or won by a single person.

He took a moment to study Vauch closer. Most often he was a good judge of character, but he felt that he was missing something to get a good read on the new Kingsguard member. What he did manage to deduce from what he had heard and seen earlier however, was that Vauch was aching to get into action. Possibly that would change when he really did experience the horrors that a true battle had in store for him. Either way, he probably didn't have to wait much longer. If the reports were true, incursions of the enemy had increased lately, and much like himself, they were preparing fr a more major movement.

"May I ask, my king, what you are doing up? Its quite late, and a person like you should get your rest, correct?"

He smiled weakly before answering:
"A person such as myself knows no rest, sir Vauch. Every moment is filled with how to best solve the issues at hand at a time like this."
After that, he frowned a little. Perhaps he was a little too tired. Normally he wouldn't allow himself to say such a personal thing.
"Rest yourself when you can as well, sir Vauch. You'd best be ready when the storm comes."
With that, the king turned around, marching off without another word or look, back to his chambers in hopes of getting at least another few hours of sleep in.
She's...probably going to be making that face a lot around Keiko, probably xP

This one, more likely.

With the situation of the delinquent girl taken care of without even needing to lift a finger, she shifted her entire attention towards the expressionless student in front of her. It was a little jarring to talk to someone who looked like he was in some sort of sleepless coma, but she hardly the expert on disabilities and their effects. The job of a normal student council president was hard enough, but when dealing with people with so many different backgrounds, personalities and disabilities, it was more like walking through a mine field. Just as the collapsed girl during her impromptu speech had demonstrated, every student was going to needed a different approach to interact with them and get some sort of influence over them. Though fear was pretty universal no matter what part of you was missing or broken. The only question remained if that was truly the way she wanted to go about these things.

"I'm Maksim Kato, class 3-2. It's nice to formally meet you, since I've heard so much from and about you..."

She gave a small nod towards him, acknowledging his introduction. There was apparently no need whatsoever for her to return the favor. It was only to be expected, as student council president she was bound to be somewhat of a celebrity among the students thanks to the speeches she had made in the start of the year and just now as well. She made a mental note to try and review some of the personal files, the fact that Maksim had made an effort to come and talk to her already made him a more interesting person.

"Though, I wonder, would you happen to be a pursuer of the visual arts? In appreciation and or creation, Miss President? I suppose not..."

Sakura lifted her shoulders upwards casually in a non-determined fashion.
"I have various interests, but some take priority over others."
What she said was very true, as president, there was very little room for any other hobbies. In addition to that, she had to remain on top of her homework, striving to remain one of the top students in the school as well as remain fit. Her schedule was filled to the brim and there was rarely any moment of the day where she wasn't rushing to her next activity. Now was one of the few occasions where she did have time actually. Since it was the start of the new year, there wasn't a lot of homework or tests yet.

It did raise the question of how and why Maksim himself was, as he called, "a pursuer of the visual arts". As far as she could judge, his own capabilities to appreciate those visual arts left much to be desired. The mental image of him trying to paint did not add up, so she deducted that his interest probably lay in art that he could perceive as artful in different ways such as touch. More skeptical people might want to argue that people with limited vision would never be able to create anything quite on the same level as those that had no such things holding them back.
Perhaps Maksim simply pursued those arts because people said he couldn't, simply because -he- knew he could and he continued doing what he enjoyed despite his disabilities.

Sakura smiled lightly at that train of thought: that was exactly what she admired in people. In a sense, Yamaku might be home to a lot more capable and stronger people than ordinary schools.
"That you are though, is interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing what you have created. It might give me some ideas to spice up this school for the upcoming sports and culture festivals."
Sorry for not posting yesterday, work was really exhausting!
Sakura was not amused:
