2020: For the first time in perhaps the history of man; the world is at a relative peace.
There are no ongoing wars over oil, land, ideologies or anything else, crime is at an all time low and the future of the world is looking brighter than ever on the surface.

2026: The rising problem of overpopulation is becoming a threat to man-kind in the coming years, it’s estimated that if something isn’t done, then by 2050 earth will have thrown itself into an unstable, unlivable environment.

2029: A massive expansion program begins in Australia to expand its borders and create one massive city combing New Zealand, Papa New Guinea, and the Indonesian isles.

2038: Just under a decade later the expansion is finished in Australia with soaring results, and many other countries have already begun to expand their borders in hopes of achieving similar results.
2040: To adjust to the new no-borders and exchange of various customs across several countries the EUOF (Earth Under One Flag.) Is founded bringing all the nations together to find agreeable laws, ideals, exchange of currency, and politics together.
2051: Earth is connected through various roads and mega cities across all of its masses land artificial or otherwise, for now the overpopulation is sated.
2053: In an effort to preemptively stop overpopulation, the greatest minds on earth begin the progenitor project, which will effectively be able to create a new planet, thus serving two purposes, more room for humans, and more room for agricultural growth due to Earths limited space for trees, crops, and large bodies of fresh water.

2068: The Progenitor project is finished and is ready to be launched.
May 18th 2068: The Progenitor is launched and travels into a spot where it will safely travel within our solar system in-between mars and earth, a planet will form there in about a decade allowing for all of Earths agricultural needs to be filled.
April 27th 2080: The progenitor is successful and the newly formed planet “Borodin” named after a leaded member of the progenitor team, is deemed livable. Plans to begin farming and moving out workers and the first wave of families begin immediately.

2084: After the great success of Borodin, another Progenitor is in the progress, this time to form a primarily water based planet.

October 5th 2099: The second Progenitor is launched; equally high hopes are set for this one. It’s slightly smaller than Borodin, hopefully taking a few less years to form.

July 9th 2109: The newly formed water based planet “Prokofiev” Is formed its surface is approximately 85% water. Several areas separated into salt and fresh water to cover the vast agricultural needs. Once again the planet is named after a lead member.

2120: Over a decade of trade and expansion has flourished wonderfully between Earth, Borodin, and Prokofiev. This year also marks one hundred years without a major conflict, that isn’t to say there hasn’t been small scale troubles, but they were much more easily contained and solved.

December 18th 2126: A trade dispute erupts between Borodin and Prokofiev, a Prokofievien freighter starship deliberately crashes into a Borodin freighter. The two planets declare war on one another and for the first time over a century there is a major conflict.
2127: The war swells, ships landing on both planets. Facilities being bombed and battles being fought in the streets, ships that once carried goods across planets now carry troops and bombs to either planet. Earth remains neutral and doesn’t send support to either planet, save for rescue missions.
April 25th 2136: The war is officially over, in what will be come to be known as the decade of fire, or the ten year war. A large portion of Borodin a capitol city and a large area surrounding it are a wasteland, a massive wall has been built to contain the high radiation levels of the area. Prokofiev took minimal damage as far as land goes, both planets suffered severe casualties however.

2141: After the dust settles and the planets are at an agreement, highly secretive project begins on Borodin based around creating “super soldiers” just in case another war beings. No information is publicly known.
2143: The “Traxus Project” has been taken from Planet side Borodin to just within its orbit in space. An expansive and well camouflaged scientific research station called the TITAN houses scientists, several labs and everything else needed to be its own self sustaining hub. On Borodin, people are being screened and interviewed off of the streets that have no remaining family or any important ties left in their life. Most are vagrants or “orphaned” adults, people who either won’t be missed or can’t be missed. All of those taken aboard the Titan have their memories wiped and are experimented on in a multitude of different ways.

The first series of experiments (Codename: Iron-Wolf) were based around sustainability; subjects had increased muscle mass and were incredibly durable, with an incredible level of pain tolerance and stamina. There metabolic rates are so incredibly high that an artificial extra stomach and heart are placed into each subject, thus requiring a greater amount of time to sleep and a larger amount of food to eat in order to be fully sustained. These subjects however were prone to violent outbursts and destructive rampages, and if they were not able to be subdued, then they were killed.
The second series of experiments (Codename: Silver Crow) were based on the mind of a soldier, as well as a personal cloaking. These subjects were incredibly fast thinkers, and adaptable to any situation, the cloaking device worked exceptionally well for it being in such an early stages, at will the subject could turn itself and whatever was on its person completely invisible for three minutes. The cloaking required about half an hour to forty-five minutes before it could be safely used again without nerve damage. These subjects were however prone to losing their minds due to the immense mental loads. And in time all of them would begin to suffer from dementia and paranoia, to the point of self harm or harm to others. However the symptoms took several years to fully manifest but small outburst were noted along the way.

The third experiment (No Codename) was saved for only a select few; with highly advanced nanomachine technology, a handful of subjects were focused on the self-healing factor in a firefight, completely removing the use for a combat medic, their wounds would simply heal themselves. The several did not turn out well at all, either the nanomachines didn’t do their job well enough, or they multiplied and attempted to fixed wounds at such an increased rate to subject would become riddled with tumors and die. However after much time and research one Subject was finally successful, they were biologically immortal and un-aging, unless every last piece of their body was completely destroyed, then their body would reform, from lost limbs, too organs, nothing would stop it, needless to say innumerable amount of heinous tests were conducted on the subject, leaving them severely emotionally scarred.

2148: The Traxus project has gone on for five years with no disturbance from the outside world; leaps in progress are made every day. However an underground militant group on Prokofiev had caught wind of the Traxus project and the TITAN station from an informant worker on the station, plans were made to bring the station down as soon as possible, rather than release information about, destroying it was the only way to truly get rid of it.

May 1st 2148: Four Prokofievian suicide bomber ships destroy the TITAN station, despite their best efforts, several scientist were prepared for an emergency. One experiment from both the Iron wolf and Silver Crow experiments and the single unnamed experiment were thrown into escape pods and ejected, the three experiments landed on earth along with one scientist. Another scientist landed in the wastelands of Borodin, a third scientist landed on Prokofiev and was promptly captured by the underground group.

May 8th 2148: The three experiments all landed in various locations on earth all with-in about a one hundred mile radius of one another, the subtlety devices built ensure they were not crash landings and they all landed safely and securely. However squads of Prokofievian militants are on their way to hunt down all the survivors of the TITAN station and eliminate them with extreme prejudice.



This RP is something I tried once back on the old forum but it didn’t go so well but this idea has been in my head for a long time so I felt it was time to try and kick start it again. Technologies have advanced amazingly, vehicles run off of an easily made synthetic petroleum substitute, and usually get 60 miles to the gallon or more. Medically limbs, organs and everything in between is easily replaced, robotic prosthesis for arms, hands, legs and feet are common place, the same goes for eyes, and other delicate parts. Firearms have advanced, but not as much as one would think, recoil is a thing of the past for most firearms, and guns are much more reliable. There are very, very few energy based weapons in existence, it is a very young technology at this point. No flying vehicles or otherwise, but jet engines and planes have advanced far enough to handle interstellar travel with ease. Cities are now massive, some incomprehensibly large and they are, for the most part safe and clean. But no matter how far humanity advances, there is always a bad part of town, and several grey areas.
The idea for this RP is that there is a set story with a lot of blank spaces, the character interactions decide how the story progresses and what may change. I am looking for five people all together, three of which will be one of each experiment, and two will be Prokofievien militia hunting for the experiments and scientists. I will have one main character and will control most minimal NPCs along the way. And I encourage people to make up their own technology, within certain limits of course, nothing crazy but whatever you think would be appropriate.

Name: Matthew Garden

Appearance:

Dressed in standard military dress found in the escape pod, Matthew has the build and bearing of a typical soldier.

Biography: Matthew had no idea who his parents are, only rumour which may or may not be about his parents or about one of the many other urchins he grew up with; there would simply be no way of telling for sure. After being taken for experimentation even those rumours were wiped from his memory and he has simply been told that he destined for a great cause, a noble cause. Satisfied with this basic purpose he did not resist the experiments upon him even as he saw his fellows turn mad or at the very least become unstable.

Even now, after he has begun to sense his own instability. Matthew still trusts in the cause he was given to. He suffers temporary lapses of memory in which he has been told his sanity was severely suspect. Largely he has merely suffered memory damage and considers himself lucky compared to how many of his compatriots ended up.

Personality: Usually a kind, honest and caring man Matthew has begun to suffer from a near-Bi-Polar disorder causing him to sometimes drift into a malicious and scheming personality.

Biography: Tracs was raised on the streets, His life was that of constant fighting. Becasue of this of course he got sucked into gang violence as and was the model delinquent. As he grew up it only got worse, robbery, smuggling and much more. He was somebody who wouldn't be missed. So after his memory was wiped, he was told that he was a soldier and volunteered for this program, and that he knew he would suffer memory loss and accepted it. He didn't have much reason to go against them but something always nagged at him, like a itch he couldn't scratch.

Trough out the experiments he and the others had to be kept relatively separated, and also had to stay near the center of he station as a hull breach wasn't something that was desired. Tracs him self was no exception to this, as he had his own share of rampages, even almost killing a guard. Despite a few slip up he was calm, well calm in comparison to some of the others, His rampages were only one or two times a week, which wasn't the worst, but it wasn't exactly the best.

Personality: Straight forward, blunt. He generally just says what he thinks about something not really caring if her "hurts someones feelings"

Appearance:
Of course she is wearing a typical uniform, and her hair is usually up in a high ponytail. She has an average build/height and weighs about 120 lbs.

Biography: Eloise doesn't know who she really is, she only knows what she has been told. Which is the same as what has been explained to all the other experiments. Greatness, eminence, high repute. A cause of great importance and she was one of those chosen for it. This should have been a great honour to her, and it was, at first. She was ready to serve however needed, still is to some point, but after her memories were wiped and the experimentation began all of this pride and alacrity slowly decreased on a downhill spiral that kept on going as they performed heinous tests on her. Soon enough Eloise had nothing but fear, pain and loss, consuming her entire being until there was nothing left but blackness.

Personality: Eloise doesn't remember real past, but what she remember since having her memories wiped is not for the feint of heart. These memories have fueled the fire towards her timid, introvert ways. Trust doesn't come easy for her, nor does common sense and boundaries. After her memories were wiped all that was left was an understanding for everyday functions, now most of that has been stripped away as well. She is a sniveling mess most of the time, and cruel and distant the rest. However, she use to be kind and compassionate, she loved people and trusted everyone. She wanted to be helpfully, she wanted to prove herself and her worth. But after being probed and cut and tested like a piece of meat she changed, as any person would, for the worst. Now Eloise can barely function, and the only productive emotions she can muster are hate and rage, because at least with these feelings she is able to do something other then wallow in pitiful sadness all of the time. Something in Eloise is broken. Her hope, her innocence, her belief in humanity. Now, in a twist of perfect irony, all she wants is death. But there is still some of that drive in her, and that need to fight it's just shoved way, way back waiting to make it's appearance.

Biography: Erik had and still has a normal life, save for when he ran away from home at 15, it was a short lived adventure but it taught him a lot about the world. He never wanted much out of life, and didn't expect much from it either. When he moved out with his girlfriend at 21 things got a little more exciting in his life, college invited so many opportunities he never would have looked for on his own such as partying, and drugs. Things went well for a while, until his relationship ended, which sent him on a downward spiral for a while, until he finally snapped out of it, and decided to pick up where he left off at 15. He traveled the world for a few years, saw more than he ever thought he could see in the course of six long years. He finally decided to start settling down again, he returned to the mid-western US, got a hold of a few relatives and now works in a small medical supply shop in a somewhat unsavory section of a super city. He's glad to have settled down again, but life has gone back to its boring pace once again. Maybe someday soon something will change.

Personality: Erik is a people person, he's at his best conversing with other people, even if it's just to talk to a customer about something simple. Despite this he is overworked and under payed and outside of work he's a kind-of a mess, sleep doesn't come easily to him but he manages, and he rarely ever lets it show. He somehow maintains a certain sense of wanderlust, constantly wishing he could break free again, maybe see one or both of the other planets.

A little brief I know but it's what I could muster right now, this guy is going to be my main character, there will be another one but I'll put that up if/when the RP has gotten that far.
