The pilots swerved out of the way for conjuction of the other pilots to prime their pulse torpedos as two of the other pilots fire their already charged pulse torpedos. Regardless if the vampire phases through the torpedos they are locked to follow his trail- perhaps the vampire needs to solidify itself to have a single thought, it's dead after all... So they will follow to no end. The pilots chose to fly in formations one hundred feet at a time while they pay attention to the demonics on the radar (the planet's infrastructure just came online. The giant space ships above can fire at any moment now. It was just a tyrant vampire; killed everything for themselves. The planet was worthless to the Empire) all the while taking note of the distance, speed, precision, aerodynamics(if they were that smart), and other key components to their survival by learning from the vampire and it's strife from the pulse torpedos.
ON THE GROUND: The enemy undead kept devastatingly mass up out of the ground. It must of been the entire planet's former occupants. Some were freakishly fast as they were former vampires themselves, but they lacked the necrotic spirits they once had having fallen to the tyrant. Some bases were over run by complete wreck-through by those undead Undead, mindlessly, corruptly & primevally overpowerfully. Survival wasn't guaranteed anymore with the falling of the frigates to those undead Undead. Troopers had to don jetpacks to fly away, but in legions for the undead Undead could jump/fly fiendishly for unspeakable maruading pursuit of that living flesh.
One legion managed to get by and escape from the planet, the remainder are caught between fighting the ghouls & fiends on jetpack/w blasters together losing cohersion to manage to get themselves onto evacuation ships; as more and more frigates went down for getting closer To the jetpack legions... the undead were just too freakish... the random jumps/flights of the brainless enemies usually found a frigate 7/10% of the time. They would claw their way through to the otherside of it's trajectory, while the weaker ones would get stuck in the frigates surprising the crews and creating hell.
But with there being 10 Dreadnoughts and 5 Destroyers in space hovering over the planet there're nearly 300 TIE Fighters/Defenders/Interceptors flying and fighting the planets necromance.
