"Look," Mike said when Harriet was gone, "I learned more about Succubi, Stuart has been studying them and shared his findings. They are demons and they have killed men, but even if they don't, they can still... enchant a victim so they have an easy prey and the victim will think he is in love. And I tried to warn Ben about that."
"But he's in love and doesn't want to listen," Ethan concluded, spitting on the ground. "Morrison mentioned something similar with vampires, they can use their looks and charisma to blind a prey, make them fall in love with them. And because they look human we think they are, but they aren't human and we should never forget that. Steph is a succubus and a succubus is a demon who preys on men." he cursed under his breath and moved to put a cigarette in his mouth. "What do you want to do about it?" he asked with the cigarette between his lips as he tapped his pockets to find his lighter.
"I know how to send her to the demons realm, so I was going to not bring it up again with Ben, because he won't listen anyway, and just keep an eye on her. And if she does seem dangerous to him I will protect him, even if he doesn't want me to."
"Good plan," Ethan said. "I'll back you up. Don't go against her alone. You'll need time to do those ritual-things, right?" he saw Mike nod and lit his cigarette. "Then I will keep her distracted for as long as you need. No fucking demon will get Ben."
"It was nice meeting you too," Benjamin said and watched Mack fly away, before turning to the perplexed Steph. "Beautiful?" he finished the question, even though he knew that wasn't what Steph was referring to, he just liked to take the opportunity to point it out. "Although that shouldn't be a surprise if you are related to angels."
Agent Morrison had found the file and walked to where Ethan was. He halted when he saw Mike was with him, but decided that it wouldn't hurt if he would see the same things. Actually, that boy was a good excuse for showing the file. So he went over to them. "Additional assignment," he said, looking at Mike. "Here are the details of a demon, we had been able to defeat it, but we need better ways to deal with them. We believe there may be a nest of them somewhere." He handed Mike the file, who opened it.
It had pictures of the dead demon, it's written characteristics, the location where it had been found and killed, and the images of its victims, including a little girl. As Mike's eyes filled with horror as he watched it, Ethan's eyes darkened and showed anger.
"Can you look into it?" agent Morrison asked. "There are no reported sightings, so there is no rush, but we want to be ready in case they do come back. Last time it was a battle that cost the lives of five agents before we managed to kill it."
"Of course," Mike said.
"Great." He turned to Ethan. "Make sure to rest before we leave on our vampire hunt. It will be a long night." When Ethan nodded he wished them both a good afternoon and went away. He had purposely avoided the question if Gaia would still join them. It was best if Ethan forgot about her.
Mr. Johnson looked over all the data his operative had send him. It was all very interesting, this actually worked. All they had to do was crack up the volume when innocent people were at risk and Ethan would surely end Gaia for them. He trusted Gaia now and would finally see she really was nothing more than a monster.
He got a text from agent Morrison to let hem know about the file, he nodded to himself as he read it, it was a smart move to include Mike in it. All he needed to do now was keep Harriet busy. Maybe a bit of a wild-goose chase. A fake report about those gems. He needed her to be out of the way when the others would deal with her team-members.
He picked up the phone and dialled a number. "Keith, I will e-mail you some details, I need a fake mission soon."
"Okay boss."
Mr. Johnson quickly e-mailed some details to his specialist.
