Sakuya can be a bit pessimistic at times. She's an intelligent girl, able to adapt through most situations. Though she's a bit scared of some things, ironically, death most of all, when it comes to helping others, she tends to jump in first, despite better judgement. She'd never admit it though, saying she's just anxious than scared.

But she is a sweet girl. A bit intimidating, but still sweet.

Sakuya used to live in Tokyo when she was younger. Life was rather simple, and to her, boring. Up until the great earthquake few years ago had her family move away for a long while, to stay at a relative's till they can bounce back. Especially when America decided to attack their country suddenly.

After a while, Sakuya's family chose to move to Nashiro to get their lives back on track, with her having to transfer schools. With America's presence in Japan, Sakuya chose to learn English to communicate easier. Though it's a bit difficult. She just hopes to somehow adapt to this new change in her life.

Jazz is a beautiful, somewhat androgynous young woman, with curious and piercing eyes and messy bobbed hair the color of polished oak. Her eyes draw one in and her face has regal qualities, she smiles easily, but those particularly perceptive may notice that they may not always be genuine. Her lips are particularly naturally flushed and dark, and her honey light skin is the direct result of her mixed Persian and Black ancestry. Her eyebrows are regularly plucked and her nails are manicured on a weekly basis, one of her vices is makeup, particularly eyeliner.

She has a slight, unassuming physical frame with some wiry muscle-- gained from acrobatics and gymnastics training-- hidden beneath expensive clothing, designed to look less expensive than it is. Her bust is modest, though nearly flat in the right light, and her figure could best be described as "thin, fragile hourglass." Despite not being upper class herself, she shares the sensibilities of many wealthy women much older than her, and wears button down blouses, pastel vests, dark slacks, and ballet shoes regularly.

Looks deceive. This is an important thing to remember when dealing with Jazz-- were she bad enough to get caught in the act too many times, she'd easily be referred to as 'Queen of Liars' by now. But she hasn't, and if things stay the way they've been going, she won't. Ever.

Jazz is, at her heart, a natural born gambler. She didn't let silly things like "age restrictions" and "the law" stop her from honing her craft before moving to Japan from the US a few years back, and she certainly won't let those same silly restrictions stop her in the land of the rising sun. Her family might not like it, the pigs might not like it, the casino managers might not like it-- but as long as there's a will to get a fake ID there's a way for her to continue to live this lifestyle she's grown accustomed to. For Jazz, success and abundance are due to everyone, you just have to be willing to take the scary plunge and believe things will get better! To her, if everyone just accepted this, this world would be a much better place.

Aside from getting her gambling freak on. Jazz likes fitness, having traveled the US and done a bit of international travel with the junior Olympic team for her natural skills as a gymnast. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the cards for her to go completely pro, but the experience instilled in her a love of beauty and travel and all the indolence the world has to offer. She likes good art, good food, good company, good music, and doesn't see much need for things that don't satisfy an almost childish need for the creation of radiance.

Jazz's parents took, and continue to take, a very 'hands off' approach in raising their only daughter. While some may scoff at this strategy of parenting, it seems to have worked for the most part. From a young age, Jazz was involved with athletics, making it all the way to junior Olympic competitions, with some even theorizing that were it not for the 2011 incident displacing pretty much the whole world, she could have gone full Olympic upon reaching adulthood. But even ignoring that, her gambling has netted her enough to make most grown men cough up their coffee. It seems she can take to whatever she puts her mind to.

That being said.

Her father, seeing an opportunity to get his family of minorities out of America proper took it at the first opportunity his business would let him. Jazz picked up Japanese fairly easily over the course of a year and has been surprised to be facing about as much discrimination as she faced in the US in Japan.
