In the distant future, there is a colony that lives underwater. They have heard things about those that live on land but fear seeing for themselves what that colony is really like. The same goes for the land colony. They wish to explore under the water but fear the colony that lives under the water. They do not know anything about each other. But, if these colonies were to meet, they could be friends, learn about and create new technology, and help each other to survive on a once powerful planet.
The failing health of a benevolent king. There are those that journey out to find a cure for the rare illness he has, and to find his long lost son and successor, should they fail in their quest.
A demon finds him or herself joining sides with the novice summoners as they set off on a journey to find an item of great and magical power that could save their worlds.
A group of strangers who attend the same college. As a test of courage, our characters visit a local abandoned house. the house can be a hospital, hotel, mansion or something else. The building is rumored to be haunted. It can either be humorous and light-hearted or dark.
There is a small village that is hidden away, a secret village. This village is home to many supernatural creatures such as witches, vampires, fairies, werewolves and so on. While a magical barrier protects the village from human eye, it goes down about once a year during a full moon and it becomes vulnerable to hunters and such. They need a new means of protection during this time. The plot can be involving romance, friendship or both.
After hearing a mysterious melody, a group of young women and men fall under a spell and end up in the castle of a dark and evil king(he can be of any species). They need help and rescue.
