"Welcome to the world of Pokemon, I am Champion Rylen of the Chromis League, and am here to proudly announce the commencement of the International League this year, which is being held in the Chromis Region. Every four or so years, trainers from all over the world converge onto a host region to compete in an extraordinarily competitive version of that league's Gym Challenge. However it's not a challenge just to find the best trainer in the region, no, it's a hot-blooded contest to find the world's strongest trainer, and it happens every four years! That means every trainer wishing to test their mettle is invited! From the trainer who has just obtained their first Pokemon, to another region's champion, all are invited!
So from henceforth I officially announce the beginning of the International League!"
[Important, please read]: Your PLAYABLE character will be a new trainer starting out. You can however submit more seasoned trainers as NPCs, but remember that the majority of the RP will be playing your newer trainer.

TRAINER BONUS
A trainer bonus is simply a speciality. You can gain more as you go through the RP, and equip those in turn. They can only be changed while at a Pokemon Center. You will be given one of the following to start with.
<Type> Trainer: You specialize in a certain typing. Having this bonus makes it easier to catch Pokemon of that type, as well as train Pokemon of that type. Professor’s Aide: You can carry double the amount of normal Pokeballs, and 50% more of special Pokeballs. In addition you will be given tools by the Professor once in awhile. Breeder: As a Pokemon Breeder, it’s much easier for you to approach Pokemon and befriend them, especially baby Pokemon. This also allows you to evolve Pokemon without the need for battle. Coordinator: As a Coordinator you possess a bit of extra charm, which can make Pokemon much easier to get along with and befriend. Backpacker: You can carry more items besides Pokeballs, and have an added bonus of being able to camp in routes without needing to obtain supplies from a city. Rival: Designate a player or npc as a rival. You will now encounter more Pokemon that are strong against their team, and increased catch rate. You can change who is designated if they become inactive. You will also be driven to encounter them more frequently.
The International League!
For Trainers
Welcome to the International League. During this period, the Pokemon League will function as it always has, however with a few key differences.
Gyms are now ordered, but they are also broadcast live to the world, not just the region. The actual order will not be revealed until each gym goes down.
Trainers from all over the world have come. If they have already completed the Elite Four challenge or equivalent of their region, they are not required to earn gym badges to qualify for the Finals, but they are welcome to challenge the gyms. However new Trainers from a foreign region are allowed to participate using their foreign Trainer’s Card.
The Finals will be different. Ordinarily here, it would be the match against the Champion. All new trainers who are going through the Gym Challenge simply need to beat the Elite Four, but once they do, they qualify for the International Finals.
The International Finals is a 2-bracket elimination tournament. One bracket consists of foreign or local trainers who prior to the start of the International League have already qualified. The other bracket consists of all the new trainers who made their way from the bottom to beating the Elite Four in the duration of the League. Trainers in both brackets will fight their way through, and the winners of the two brackets will meet in the finals.
Do note amongst the competitors is the region’s own Champion, as well as at times, Champions from other regions. Try your best as this is the most prestigious global event in the Pokemon world, where even Champions are hard-pressed to pull out on top.
For Coordinators
Coordinators play a very different role and game from their normal Contest qualifications towards Master Rank. They instead do the shows between large matches or sets in the gyms.
The beginning of a Gym being opened for the International League participants will always have a show by a pre-chosen Master Rank Coordinator. In the duration of the Gym Battles however, Coordinators can compete to be the 3 shows that are played in the Closing Ceremony for a gym. This will rinse and repeat with each Gym.
The rules for a Coordinator Contest still apply, the only thing that has changed is the structure.
Winning one of these and being one of the 3 to present is equal to winning a Contest, and actually count towards a Master Rank.
It takes approximately 3-8 contest wins in 3rd, 2nd, or 1st place to reach Master Rank. This is the easiest way to reach Master Rank, and the quickest, but it is also the most competitive.
Coordinators of any rank are free to compete. Furthermore, despite rank, you may submit up to 3 Pokemon, whereas normally the amount you can submit is limited at lower ranks.
Another note is that the Appeal stage is much more brutal than normal to weed out competitors, as the pool is normally very big.
Regarding Mega Evolutions
If there is a new Mega Evolution you want to bring in, it must first come to me, and we will talk about the details surrounding it, such as Ability and so on. They are allowed to gain new abilities, but this will be rare, as there are so many good abilities in the game already. If said Mega Evolution is already added to the RP, then you must use that version, or not at all. X and Y Charizard and Mewtwo were a very unique case, so having more than one Mega Evolution for a Pokemon is not acceptable here.
Mega Evolutions can be checked in the Characters tab.

Personality: Cora is a reserved girl, though not for dislike of others. While she does often need time alone and in quiet, she's still social in the sense that she enjoys the company of others, and is almost never seen without a soft smile on her face--she just has always had a bit of a hard time making real friends due to her family so often moving around, resulting in her appearing content to simply stay off to the side in peace and quiet.
She comes off as collected at first appearance, and while that impression isn't exactly false, she is actually rather excitable at heart. In the presence of those she's comfortable with, her guard is let down and she'll show this side of her more often--a bit socially inept, but earnest, determined and quietly passionate. Outside of these moments, she is often deep in her own thoughts, every word she says and every action taken measured beforehand for fear of looking silly. Though this sometimes results in just that when she's so caught up in overanalyzing that she misses the most obvious things, like somebody simply trying to get her attention. In this sense, she can be self-absorbed and maybe not so thoughtful due to inaction when she doesn't want to do something wrong.
As a result of her tendency to overthink when given the time, she does best in situations where she simply doesn't have the opportunity to dwell. Her first instincts are usually the right ones, allowing her to display an impressive quick-wittedness when self-created mental blocks aren't in the way. This is part of the reason she's found she really enjoys being a Pokemon Trainer--active battle leaves her with a very clear, very finite amount of time to consider her course of action. Rather than being uncomfortable with this, it's these kinds of situations that have her feeling as confident as ever--something she still finds herself surprised by, having convinced herself her entire life she could never be good at something so exciting.
Maybe it really shouldn't be a surprise, though. Cora's been an adventurous girl since she could crawl. Her feelings that she couldn't ever be as accomplished as the other members of her family--and her difficulty being open with others--may have tempered the adrenaline and attention-seeking nature hers, but it was always there, just a breath below the surface.
Biography:
Cora led an active life, born in Hoenn to parents who could never stay in one place for any significant amount of time. As a result, she lived always feeling like she needed to keep up, and struggled to do so. Her father was an enthusiastic Pokemon Trainer who successfully completed Gym Challenges in several regions over a pair of decades, while her mother was a Pokemon Nurse that was more than happy to follow her husband around the world, finding work wherever they went easily enough thanks to her talent.
On top of that, Cora had a brother eight years older than her named Soren. For as long as she's known, Soren had effortlessly been following in their father's footsteps, exploring Sinnoh and Unova alongside his father. Cora sat by with her mother and watched the two from afar, wishing to be able to do the same.
She was too young though. She also was very different from the rest of her family--where they all seemed to ooze confidence and talent at the things they tried, the young Cora had a hard time speaking in front of any unfamiliar face and would flinch when large pokemon came near her. The girl convinced herself early on that she was different and unexceptional, choosing to keep her real desires to herself and simply allow herself to be dragged along with her family--something that helped satiate those desires, as she got to explore a great many different regions.
To help her with her apparent discomfort around pokemon as a child, her father began to catch pokemon with the intention to raise them up and give them to young trustworthy trainers he met along the way. These pokemon were usually at the family's home, with Cora helping care for them. Along with this, her father's pokemon were often around her, trained very well and happy to keep the child company. The exposure therapy of sorts worked, and it was due to this habit of her father's that Cora officially received her first pokemon.
Despite all constant company of pokemon in the house, she had found herself feeling perpetually lonely and sad. Her brother had recently left the family household to travel to Kanto and better himself as a trainer there. What got her out of this rut was her father bringing home a pokemon egg one day.
Having never seen one before, Cora's curiosity was piqued and she found herself caring for the egg every chance she got under the guidance of her mother. Of course, the egg eventually hatched with Cora being lucky enough to have been watching as it happened, revealing a little Snorunt.
It was love at first sight for the girl. For the Snorunt's part, she was more than happy to accept the affections of Cora, and the two quickly grew inseparable as she cared for it like it was her own pokemon. A couple of months later, Cora turned eleven years old, and for the occasion her father let her know that Snorunt was officially hers now.
Somehow, the girl hadn't been expecting that, even though there was no chance their parents could have ever even considered the idea of giving the pokemon away to someone else. She was overjoyed, to say the least, and gave her pokemon the name 'Yuki.' Life continued, with Cora more willing to head out into the different places her family visited with Yuki by her side to help keep her safe. The pair found that the Snorunt rarely ever had to defend her though, as she seemed to have a very easy time befriending pokemon--it also helped that they never ventured anywhere that more aggressive pokemon were known to be. With this apparent talent discovered, Cora enjoyed helping her father gather pokemon to give out to young kids like her, hoping that they'd be as happy to have a companion as she was with Yuki.
As Cora's father aged, he began to slow down, finding himself satisfied enough with his career as a Trainer. The family spent longer and longer periods of time at each new home. Currently living in Damascus Town in the Chromis region--a place they had lived in before when Cora's father and brother had participated in the International League. Evidently, her parents had greatly enjoyed their time there, making quick friends with many of the locals.
Cora found herself wondering about the International League, realizing it would be occurring again within a year's time. Her brother would certainly be coming to the region to participate, though her father told her he himself wasn't planning on taking part this time around.
With the event looming and buzzing in the back of her mind, she found herself exploring the Damascus Mines with Yuki again, though on this day she went a bit deeper than usual, a pounding in her chest pushing her forward.
It was here that she encountered a Mawile that had a poor attitude, to put it one way. The creature immediately acted hostile, leaping towards the pair and snapping at them with its large jaws. Though Yuki went to strike at it immediately to protect Cora, the girl stopped her pokemon, noticing something off.
In the dim light, she could see the Mawile's leg was badly wounded. Cora slowly approached the pokemon, taking a potion out of her knapsack. Despite her efforts, the Mawile was still off-put enough to snap at her again, this time clamping it's jaw down on the girl's arm. Cora bit her tongue hard to avoid yelping, not wanting to aggravate the Mawile further. Yuki rustled, clearly stressed by the situation and seeing her trainer being hurt, but obeyed Cora's gentle order to stay put.
With her attention back to the Mawile that had a grip on her, she reassured the pokemon and slowly applied a spray of the potion to its wound. The Mawile's real face's expression slowly began to shift from the anger it had been showing, confused as to why the human it was attacking wasn't doing anything in retaliation. Its grip on Cora's arm began to loosen.
After the full application of the potion, the Mawile visibly began to relax, finally relenting and fully letting go of Cora's now bloodied arm. The pokemon dropped in exhaustion, having been running on adrenaline for a long while by Cora's guess. It let itself be gently scooped up by the girl, and she hurried back to her mother, who was not the happiest camper at the sight she was met with.
A few days later, the Mawile had made a full recovery. Cora herself was on her way, more than a little sore from the stitched wounds beneath the tight medical bandage that wrapped around her forearm, but happy as could be--especially seeing the Mawile willfully hanging around her. The pokemon always stayed at least a couple feet away in public, but when there was no one else around, she would often gently cling to Cora's clothing with either an arm or her large mouth. 'Ku' was the name Cora gave her.
And Cora realized she had her second pokemon. With the experience of that encounter under her belt, she found the International League once again at the front of her thoughts. Maybe she could be a decent Pokemon Trainer. And if she were to finally try her hand at that dream, what better place to begin than this league. The fact that it was extremely competitive was certainly more than a little nerve-wracking, but with all her effort, there was no better way to learn and improve than to be in the thick of it with Trainers from around the world.
At first, she voiced these thoughts to Yuki and Ku, and she could tell they were on board. With the boost in confidence, she spoke with her parents, and they were more than happy to support her--evidently having been waiting for something of the sort for a few years now.
Cora had picked up on a lot of information second-hand with all the pokemon talk that had happened in her household, but she still felt clueless overall. In the months leading up to the start of the league after the girl's mind had been properly made up, her father began to teach her. There wasn't much time, so it was very much a crash course, but by the end of it her father declared her 'graduated' and a real Trainer, and somehow, this informal celebration was the proudest Cora had ever felt--it helped that her father was seemingly even more excited to see her take the step.
As a last gift and bit of help, Cora was given an egg by her father for the second time, courtesy of a pokemon breeder in the town. Flooded with memories of her time caring for Yuki when the Snorunt was a baby, Cora did much the same for this egg, though this time completely independent from the help of her mother. To Cora's excitement, it soon hatched into a Magby--the baby stage of Magmortar, a pokemon that had been on her father's team for years and that Cora had always thought was the coolest he had ever had.
Like his typing, the young Magby immediately exhibited a fiery and passionate nature, ready to meet all of life's challenges head-on--perhaps the perfect boost to Cora's own attitude. As she began to raise the pokemon she had named 'Boo,' and watched him fight on and dive into things he had never tried before, her own deeply buried passion was slowly being dug up.
And just in time for the International League, her own long-coming challenge. She was as ready as she'd ever be to dive into the world of pokemon battling.
Extra Notes: Hatched from an egg given to Cora by her father over half a decade ago, the two formed an instant connection and have been together since.
Extra Notes: Encountered in the Damascus Mines when Cora went off exploring a bit too far. Ku had been recently injured and was quick to lash out against Cora, but the girl calmed the Mawile down and helped nurse her back to health. Ku became very attached to her afterwards.
Extra Notes: Cora's newest pokemon, received as an egg from a Pokemon Breeder in Damascus Town to celebrate her decision to participate in the International League.

Personality: Lachlan is a hot headed, fast-to-fight young man who strives to impress his father and to be remembered in history. He has a fear of being forgotten by people and always tries his best to leave a strong impression on people to cement his place in their brain. Sometimes he has no brain to mouth filter and just says what he thinks without really considering the concequences but never means any harm by what he says. His loose tounge can sometimes get him in trouble, consequently either resulting in a pokemon battle, or a swift apology as Lachlan realizes what he said exactly.
Biography: Lachlan was born in Motostoke, Galar. His mother left him when he was a baby, and he never met her. His dad says that she moved to Sinnoh, and wont tell him much more than that. Lachlan’s dad never really had much money, and would say that Lachlans mother was the one who worked more. When she left his dad got a job as a receptionist at the gym to support them, and rented a small apartment for them to live in. He is very close to his dad, and they would go fishing in the wild area outside the city, often spending the whole day enjoying the relaxing activity.
As time passed, Lachlan got to spend less and less time with his dad due to trainer school and his dad’s job becoming more demanding due to a promotion. As a way to make up for it his dad gave him his first pokemon, a Galarian Zigzagoon named Zigs, for his 13th birthday. Lachlan began spending his free time while his dad was working playing with Zigs in the wild area near the pond he and his dad used to fish at. About a year later while he was with Zigs at the pond another boy from Motostoke bet Lachlan that he couldnt catch a pokemon before he could. The two boys raced off through the wild area, looking for the first pokemon that they could catch. Eventually they found a group of Applin both of them used almost every pokeball they had to try to get one but on his second to last pokeball Lachlan caught it before the other boy could catch his.
Lachlan was on his way back up to his dad’s apartment after a visit to the pond, when he passed by a store and noticed some new faces around town. Curious, he decided to get a bit closer to see what was going on. He walked through the front door of the store and started browsing shelves nearby to see if he could hear what they were saying.
Inside the store, Alaric was bored. Extremely bored. He had no idea why his parents had coaxed him to come along to this trip, and he’d rather do anything than stand idly by while they negotiated business deals and production quotas for specific articles of clothing. Whilst he had an interest in fashion, he had zero interest in business or economics, which was the topic of the day it seemed, as they’d went to 3 different shops already. He decided he’d sneak out and get some fresh air. His parents were too engrossed in the conversation to notice.
As he was about to walk out, he noticed someone walking in. A kid, around his age with very similar features to his. Light hair, reddish eyes though the difference in clothing was quite stark. He ended up colliding into him, though he’s not sure who was to blame given both were walking rather briskly to where they wanted to go.
Lachlan was so focused on the items in the store and listening to the two people by the counter, he barely noticed the boy who had collided with him until it was too late. Startled, he jumped back and fell on his butt. “Mate! You surprised me, you must really wanna get outta here huh?” he chuckled, “Well, for knockin me on my bottom like that why don’t we have a battle!?” Grinning, Lachlan got to his feet and extended a hand to the boy, “Name’s Lachlan.”
Within seconds of trying to exit, he found himself on the ground, though he’d landed rather well. Alaric was confused how the collision even happened, but alas, he didn’t feel like questioning himself or this unfortunate kid who he bumped into. He stood up first and spoke to Alaric before offering an arm up, which Alaric gladly took.
“You have no idea, I feel like my brain is about to fry from listening to them for so long.” he spoke as he dusted himself off and began to address the rest of what Lachlan had said. A battle. He’d been offered one, and he did have his pokemon on him. He let out a smug grin. This was his time to shine, and prove himself a worthy trainer.
“A battle, eh? I won’t say no, but I’ll have you know that in my 14 years on this planet, I have never once lost a Pokemon battle.” he declared. Little did his opponent know that he had never once fought in a battle.
“That only means it will show everyone how strong I am when I beat you.” Lachlan said confidently as Zigs poked his head out of Lachlan’s bag and over his shoulder. “My partner Zigs and I are going to be the best one day.” Lachlan patted the Zigzagoon’s head, then turned back to Alaric and gestured for him to follow as he walked out of the store, leading him to a park not far away.
“Heh. A bold statement. Especially considering when I, Alaric, soon to be the greatest trainer from the Hoenn region am here. Me and my partner will show you our power!” he spoke confidently as he let out his Ralts from the pokeball he had at his waist. It seemed as exceedingly confident as his trainer.
“I’ve only have need for one pokemon. I’ll allow you to use as many as you want, as I cannot lose!” he laughed as he looked at Lachlan with his arms folded, ready to battle.
Zigs hopped out of Lachlan’s bag and past his head out in front of him. “It would only be fair for me to use a single pokemon too then.” Lachlan said, his confidence only slightly wavering toward the beginning. He raised one arm out in the air before him and shouted “Lets do this!”
As epic as the two hyped the battle up to be, it fell flat. Both were complete novice trainers who had never fought in a Pokemon battle, and as a result, it was a messy affair. Tackles and psybeams went left and right as both Pokemon tried desperately to bring their trainers home the victory. In the end, Alaric took the victory, but not without much effort. In a way, he felt cheated out of a true victory given as his opponent had only used one of his pokemon.
Lachlan knew he could have won had he used all his pokemon, but none the less he accepted his loss and promised next time they battled it would be a different outcome. Satisfied with the time he had killed Lachlan said farewell to Alaric and returned to his dad’s apartment after giving him his rotom phone number.
Lachlan later heard of the international league and told his father that he was going to leave to challenge it to get them out of that tiny apartment and into somewhere more comfortable. Upon arriving to the region he was given an egg to help him start out, and after a day spent in the hotel it hatched into a Toxel.
Trainer Bonus: Rival(Alaric)
Items: 5 Potions 5 Pokeballs 1 Revive
Name: Zigs Species: Galarian Zigzagoon Gender: Male Ability: Quick Feet Battle Experience: 3 Moves: Headbutt, Sand Attack, Baby Doll Eyes, Pin Missle Extra Notes: Playful and energetic, often sits in Lachlan’s bag, looks over his shoulder, and makes faces to exaggerate what Lachlan is saying.
Name: Applin Species: Applin Gender: Male Ability: Ripen Battle Experience: 3 Moves: Sucker Punch, Astonish, Widthdraw Extra Notes: Is small for an applin and quite skittish
Name: Toxel Species: Toxel Gender: Female Ability: Static Battle Experience: 0 Moves: Power Up Punch, Nuzzle, Flail, Growl Extra Notes: Newest addition, rather calm and easily impressed.
Personality: Extremely confident and a little eccentric, Alaric finds himself making a strong impression with people regardless of whether it is good or bad. He's not afraid to give his opinion regardless of what people think about him due to his somewhat large ego. This unreal confidence, combined with some strange mannerisms such as a tendency to pull off various poses in battle or use phrases you'd expect to come from a superhero show make him stick out like a sore thumb. However, he's not exactly someone out for attention. He just doesn't feel pressure to conform and will always do what he thinks is the right course of action, regardless of how people may perceive it.
Despite exhibiting what many people would consider childish behaviour, Alaric is surprisingly mature and can be quite profound when he tries. He cares about the people he's close to, and hates seeing them in a negative state as in a way, he views them as an extension of himself. He also has a strong feeling of admiration of those who've proven their strength to him, whether this is through battle or overcoming their other challenges.
However, more than anything, there's no greater joy for him than competing and battling other trainers, and as a result, he finds great pride in his victories and time to reflect in his defeats, always looking to perform better and ensure his next victory. Whilst he likes to talk a little trash before a battle or make a bet here and there, he's always respectful in both victory and defeat and tries to make friends of those who gave him a tough time or beat him in hopes that he can challenge them again and have a more thorough win.
Alaric's life was far from ordinary. He was born in Hoenn to a pair of wealthy fashion designers, obsessed with improving and developing their next products. Whilst they were strange, they were passionate about parenting and cared quite a large amount about their kids happiness and future. He was never discontent with the situation in his youth, as if he wanted something, he most likely received it. He was given a large amount of freedom to pursue whatever he wanted and he found his parents fairly relatable, given as they were a young couple. There was one thing he couldn't quite grasp about them however.
It was their passion. Growing up, Alaric had mostly seen everything as mundane and felt as if he had to go out of his way to enjoy something. He tried copying them, developing his own taste in fashion, listening to music, studying. Nothing worked. He couldn't replicate the excitement and happiness that they held on their face no matter what he did. Needless to say, he was bored, and nothing seemed to amuse him.
He had written off pokemon preemptively. Nothing about caring for pets seemed to interest him. Plus, his parents didn't have pokemon either, so he didn't consider them a possibility that would make him happy. This changed when a friend of their parents, a pokemon co-coordinator gave them an egg as a gift. Neither of them had time to care for it nor were they particularly interested, so they handed it off to their kid. Alaric, although not interested in caring for the pokemon, decided that spiting his parents good will would be unacceptable behaviour and decided to raise it.
It ended up hatching into a Ralts and became his first pokemon. His perception changed slightly, and given as he had raised the egg, he felt quite attached to the newfound pokemon. They formed a strong friendship and he gave him the name Lance, a shortening of a knight of legend, hoping that he'd emulate that same bravery in his life.
With this acquisition, and with his partners restless nature, Alaric felt compelled to at least give battling a go. He did plenty of research on how to battle and how to train, but he didn't exactly know where to start, and this continued for quite a while until his parents took him with them on a business trip to the Galar region. It was his first time out of Hoenn and he had to say that while he felt a little homesick, he liked being elsewhere for a change. They travelled around Galar for a month or so before heading back, but he had a fairly memorable affair in Motostoke city, where he found himself fighting his first battle.
Lachlan was on his way back up to his dad’s apartment after a visit to the pond, when he passed by a store and noticed some new faces around town. After he got back home to Hoenn, he felt invigorated. He knew what he must do and he realised what his parents had been feeling all those years ago. He set out and decided to expand his party in preparation for the upcoming Chromis league and for his rematch against Lachlan, and didn't give himself a day of rest due to the sheer excitement that was flowing through his veins. He caught two new additions to his party in the same mountain, although on different days. He caught both through battle, and the bond they share was built through a mutual respect of strength rather than a slow attempt to befriend them. Regardless, they still came to have a strong friendship.
With the two new additions to his party, a gusto in his heart and a wanderlust to find new strong trainers to battle, he set off for the Chromis league. He was a different beast to when he battled Lachlan a year ago, and he wasn't prepared to lose to anybody.

You both seem to check out. I'll be asking for a general run-down of what plans you guys may have for the rivalry in the future too, so you can send me a brief summary on Discord.
Otherwise you two are okay to be added to the Characters tab.
Personality: Never shying away from an argument, Gris can appear unmistakably confrontational. Confident in her own ability, she isn't one to mince words, and will more often than not cut in with a snide remark or witty rebuttal. She is confident and resourceful, considering all options but backing down, and possesses a strong sense of pride in what she does, her friends, and where she came from. On the rare ocassion that Gris is at a loss for words, she can become quite defensive and even bashful, blushing and stammering in almost child-like manner.
In spite of her bellicose disposition, Gris is neither cruel nor a loner. In fact, she's quite passionate, caring greatly about her allies, her friends and family, and will go to great lengths to protect and support those dear to her. Similarly, Gris possesses a strong analytical mind, and tends to prefer a strategic and thorough approach over brute strength - something that catches most people off-guard after their first interaction with the girl.
Excitable and energetic, Gris has a wide array of interest, constantly bouncing around from one topic of interest to the next one. Perhaps as a result of her life before becoming a proper trainer, or due to her lack of focus, Gris is a bit of a mess, often leaving her things all over the place, messing up her surroundings, or leaving a mess in any kitchen unfortunate enough to have her.
Biography: Gris was born to a pair of Riders in The Under. Though she does not remember much of the earliest day of her childhood, she does remember that her parents failed to return to their home when she was just barely old enough to take care of herself, something kids in The Under learn quicker than most children. Alone and without many choices - something the residents of The Under were always accustomed to - Gris turned to search for scraps and loot around the area, ocassionally venturing even into Pyrite.
It was during these times that Gris met and befriended Gray, a particularly scrappy Poochyena, and Ella, a smart Sentret. The two small Pokemon had paired up together, tricking the shop owners and the outsiders that visited the colosseums in both Pyrite and The Under. Though the girl clashed with the two Pokemon at first, not wanting to give up her targeted loot, the three continued to run into one another. During one particularly heated dispute between the Pokemon and Gris, the commotion alerted the shopkeep, who alerted the the police. Fleeing immediately, the whacky trio ended up at the infamous Pyrite Lift at the same time, panting desperately. Though their encounter began with yet another growl from Gray, and a grimace from Gris, both the girl's and the puppy's stomach growled loud enough to induce an awkward silence. Grumpy but empathetic, Gris ultimately offered the two a small portion of her leftovers at home.
In the following months, the three became inseperable. Even their little heists improved. With Ella's Frisk serving to scout potential loot, Gris could easily sneak out with some fruit or bread while Gray howled for attention. It wasn't a great life, but the three had each other and made due. Ultimately, however, their scheme fell apart after The Under was shut down by the official. With no hideout to return to, Pyrite became increasingly aware of their shenanigans, leading to their eventual arrest.
When the trio was brought in to the Pyrite Police station, Gris asked the officers to excuse her Pokemon partners, which attracted the attention of a local researcher who had visited the station to retrieve some documements he had requested from the mayor. The love for Pokemon seemed just right to her goals. And so, the woman introduced herself as Izara. Wishing to bring some international glory to her homeregion, Izara tried her best to become a proper professor, though she was far from reaching her goal. Gris, confused, simply accepted any chance to get herself and her friends out of the mess she had been stuck in. With some sweettalk from Izara, the officers relented, letting Gris, Gray, and Ella leave with the locally renowned researched.
At first, none of the three rascals liked working for Izara, but over time, the research work and her companionship became dear to their hearts. After a year, Izara encouraged Gris to follow a path to become a proper trainer, deeming her intentions and heart just right for the profession. With the Chroma League on the horizon, it seemed a perfect opportunity. With an unusual amount of teary-eyed smiles and "I'll miss you"s, Gris, her Pokemon friends, and an egg she had received from Izara - who, in turn, had received it from a friend in Galar - left for Chromis.

Personality: Caliso is the kind of guy who can sit down and camp under the stars just as much as he can enjoy the thrill of exploring a forest, loving both the peace and quiet of being alone along with the excitement of an adventure. He often has some form of a confident smirk on his face to showcase his confidence and rarely lets others see when things are starting to bring him down, feeling it’s better to keep what he considers moments of weakness to himself so that others can more easily depend on him. Because of this, he tries really hard to suppress his anger or sadness and release it once he’s sure he’s all alone. Otherwise, he tries to be funny and raise other people’s spirits, but chances are it’ll just come off as awkward or condescending at first. Once he gets used to you though, he’s fairly happy to help out in any way he can.
However, it's quite easy to fire him up or get on his nerves if you push hard enough. He is prone to losing his cool if someone repeatedly insults him or those he has some form of trust or respect with, and will definitely feel angry if he feels he’s been slighted or cheated in some manner. Caliso also doesn’t like backing down from a challenge, which can come to his own detriment as he has quite a significant amount of pride behind that smirk of his. This pride drives him forward to better himself and push his limits while also feeding into his habit of biting off more than he can chew or delving into anger.
At his core, Caliso is fairly curious about the world and of Pokemon variation in particular. As a Professor’s Aide, he’s able to study to his heart’s content, but as a trainer now, he’s able to test and see Pokemon in action, something that he hadn’t really considered before. He believes that a trainer’s gut reactions to situations and their ability to react in the heat of the moment are astounding, but can also appreciate the preparations that go into a battle and the carefully calculated strikes one can make.
Biography: Caliso’s life has felt fairly average, at least by Nacrene City terms. That is to say, he was born into a family of artists who had moved there in order to further their artist careers. His mother loved to dabble in painting, having several Smeargle with her at all times to help make her visions become reality and truly capture the emotion of any scene that inspired her brush. His father, while known for his hand in photography from time to time, showcased his prowess in the kitchen by constantly experimenting to come up with dishes unique twists. He’s quite popular at the Café Warehouse. And with Caliso as the youngest of two with an older sister, the family seemed to fit right at home in the city known as a pearl of a place.
Growing up, Caliso was free to do near whatever he wanted within what his parents considered reasonable. He often found himself wandering into Pinwheel forest because of this, chasing after the bug pokemon to his heart’s content, or even staying the night within some of the fallen logs. When in Nacrene and not the forest early on in his childhood, he was always by his father’s side in the Café Warehouse, but when he turned ten his interests shifted when he visited the Museum during an uneventful summer.
Oh, the amount of time he spent in that museum that summer. It was different from the schooling he’d received from his parents, the kitchen at the Café or Pinewheel, it felt strangely inviting to him. So much so, it began to draw his attention away from the other activities he used to do, his curiosity getting the better of him as he began to try to make his own explanations to some of the exhibits, most of which were outlandishly wrong. However, his ramblings in that museum caught the eye of the Unova region’s professor during one of his visits, as Professor Juniper had been visiting Lenora at the time. While his theories were completely wrong, he had the right heart and spirit that she was looking for in an assistant, and knew he just needed someone to shove him in the right direction for information. So naturally, she whisked him away.
The years that followed being snatched away were no cakewalk for Caliso. The first was spent tirelessly studying Pokemon, much more than he had to back in Nacrene. The following years to follow would involve him getting his first Pokemon, a Darumaka, and exploring Unova. It was simple enough, and his Darumaka was an excitable companion to take along. She was always so interested in the origins of Pokemon, so much so she had sent him to countless ruins in different regions in order to try to understand the past. While in Galar, however, was where he found his true calling: Pokemon Regional Variation and the study of these particular Pokemon. It all happened when he ran into a Galarian Darumaka that differed so greatly from his own, that he simply HAD to have it and explore how Darumaka’s branched off, and what region was their true origin.
His next stop after Galar would be Chromis, but not before Professor Juniper suggested something crazy to him. Instead of simply staying for a small fraction of time, why not participate in the International League? It would let him meet all different kinds of trainers, each with different Pokemon that he could surely observe in a more controlled environment. It was interesting, and when she added he’d probably be able to find regional variants outside of their respective regions in Chromis, it sealed the deal. He’d take this challenge and use the opportunity to really test what made these Pokemon so different.

Personality: Above all else Henrietta is someone who always seems to display a level of quiet confidence. There is self-assuredness to the way she moves and the way she conducts herself which is displayed in the straightness of her posture, the tilt of her chin and the little knowing smile she often wears; she has a certain poise to her that is hard to describe until you see it for yourself. She has a composure that rarely breaks; Henrietta is good at only letting her face show what she wants it to show, putting on a stoic demeanour that hides her true feelings which can make it hard to tell what she’s feeling or thinking at a given moment.
Henrietta is driven by an aggressive determination which pushes her to move forward no matter who or what is in her way, something which is apparent both in the way she battles and the way she interacts with others. She has a forceful personality and isn’t easily swayed by others; once she has set her mind to something there is little that can divert her unless she makes that decision herself and she has a bad habit of ignoring the concerns or needs of others.
Biography: A Kalos native, Henrietta was born and raised in the city of Cyllage where her mother worked in the city’s boutique while her father was a trainer at the Pokémon Gym. She inherited traits from both of her parents; her poise and bearing came from her mothers, her love of Pokémon and battling came from her father and her confidence and determination came from them both equally.
Henrietta was always around Pokémon from a young age due to her father’s work and also because her mother also raised Pokémon of her own. She always wanted to become a trainer someday, a fact that she didn’t keep secret from anyone, and it was always a question of when, not if, she would begin her journey. Her parents were supportive of the idea, but they always expected her to travel the Kalos region for a few years before becoming a gym trainer like her father or even a gym leader someday; when it became apparent that Henrietta wanted to travel the world, see every region and not just Kalos, they were less supportive.
After much arguing and persuasion a deal was eventually struck where Henrietta would be allowed to travel if and only if she could prove herself a capable trainer; one who would be able to manage travelling by herself where he parents wouldn’t be able to easily bail her out of difficulties. Her parents gave her an egg at the age of fourteen and tasked her with hatching, raising and training the Pokémon by herself. The egg soon hatched into a Mudbray and Henrietta began raising and training the Pokémon to prove herself to her parents.
She soon caught another Pokémon and once she was satisfied that they were both strong enough she began battling as many of the local trainers as she could and defeating them. She seemed to be a natural at battling and although her parents tried to delay as much as possible they couldn’t deny that Henrietta had met their conditioned. They eventually relented and gave her their support to begin her travels, even gifting her another Pokémon egg to help her build up her team.
The first step on her journey would be the Chromis region. Her goal; the International League.

@Typical Really good layout, I quite like it. Background checks out too, but I have to mention that Signature and Combo moves are not things you'll be able to start with.
Don't worry though, I will give a chance for everyone to obtain their first Combo and Signature move for one of their Pokemon without the need to play it out at a certain point of the RP (though it's not as if you couldn't do that before that point by the way).
Everything else is okay though. You may add it once the signature and combos are removed... For now.
Oh by the way all those moves are fine, both combo and signatures. You can just add them when you've trained them to get them.
So I wasn't sure what your stance was on Hidden Abilities (if you did mention them in the doc, I'm blind.) So I took the liberty of using a few.
But yeah, here we go, do tell if I need to edit something.

F ❆ Galarian ❆ 17
Personality: Ann is unlikely to make too strong a first impression. At first glance she's a quiet, faintly smiling girl that tends to mind her own business and speak very little. You might notice she's lazy and sluggish in her movement, almost as if she's never in a hurry to go anywhere, and that she tends to daydream a lot.- Maybe you'll catch her playing with or talking to her Pokémon, almost unaware that there are even other people around. You know, the usual stuff. And, depending how long a time you spend around her, it might be that you'll never see anything else.
However, be in her company long enough and you'll eventually find out that Ann's a curious girl with the self-control of a starving Morpeko in a curry shop. So while she might be completely reasonable one second, the moment something piques her interest or that invasive thought of 'what would happen if' crosses her mind, no amount of pesky common sense can stop her. She's impulsive and irresponsible, and doesn't second guess herself - even whens he should. When she decides to speak up or act, she's brazen - yet not any more energetic than usual, creating a strange dissonance between her weird actions and otherwise calm expression and demeanor. Some say it's unsettling, while many find her honesty and lack of tact jarring. Yet others view her as a naive girl who doesn't know any better.
She's not naive though, and she does know better - she just chooses the things she cares about very carefully, and the opinions of others or the consequences of bad decisions fall very far down that list. Sometimes she even enjoys rattling people and breaking expectations. It's all in good fun, though, and she isn't out to hurt or insult others. On the contrary; she quite loves people. She just wishes more of them could show their true selves instead of trying to act the way they think is expected of them. But, well, nothing to be done about that. Except leading by example, maybe? Mmm.
Nah. Sounds like too much work.
Biography: Born and raised in Circhester, Ann never expected to embark on any sort of journey further than the occasional shopping trip to Wyndon. Her family was well-known around the city, having owned a business there for generations. Just beyond the city's borders, they housed a large quantity of Piloswine and Mamoswine, arranging "snow safaris" on their backs into the brisk wilderness on and around routes eight, nine and ten. Their services were particularly popular among trainers and tourists, and though the Clarke family was by no means rich, they were quite well off - enough to expand their business to other winter activities over the years, up and including Rotom Snowbiking, ice fishing, snow camping and ice Pokémon tours for trainers looking to land themselves that special, rare Eiscue.
Ever since young, Ann helped with the business at her parents' request, be it taking care of young Swinub or, once older, guiding tours. She was always a carefree and somewhat irresponsible child, and though she did what she was told, she didn't do a thing more - and was often caught playing with the local ice types when her parents expected her to be helping. She loved the customers they got however, particularly those from other regions. She loved nothing more than listening in on their conversations or asking for tales from their homelands - places which she never expected to actually visit. After all, as an only child, she lived with the assumption that she would take over the family business one day - at least, until her younger brother was born and, years later, ended up expressing both better aptitude and deeper interest towards the prospect.
Ann didn't mind the thought of yielding the family business to her brother, though it did leave her with a sudden lack of purpose. Her whole life, she'd expected to live and die among the horde of 'swines, and now... well, she wouldn't need to. She could do anything. She could go and travel to all the places she'd heard from tourists over the years. She could visit her cousins in Alola. Or she could throw herself into an international league competition in a faraway land despite having no real experience in Pokémon battling or incentive to travel to the other side of the world for it.
... Hm. You know what, that actually sounded kinda fun.
She packed her bags less than a week later, traveling all the way to the distant Chromis region with naught but a tree, a bug and a demon in the shape of a shrew.

Rascal Alolan Sandshrew ♂
A gift from distant relatives living in Alola. Supposedly, they rescued the poor ice type from the outskirts of their villa, half-dead from heat exhaustion. The more likely case is that they caught the mischievous little thing digging up their garden and, after multiple attempts to shoo it away and have local authorities help get rid of it, they shipped the bugger off to Galar to annoy someone else. Joke's on them though - Ann loves him in all his trouble making glory.
Curious, naive, and very very small, Snomelet is a recently hatched baby who's yet to know the world beyond Ann's arms. Luckily, she's too young to cringe at her name - and so far from becoming a Frosmoth that Ann has a long time to figure out what to do once evolution renders the pun obsolete. No worries though, she's got plans. Snomelet can be often found hitching a ride somewhere on Ann's person; head, pocket, scarf - boot. Anywhere but a poké ball, they're scary.
Yuletide is... is a tree. He's always been a tree. Once, he lived in the forests of Galar as a tree, alongside his tree family. Then came time for the holidays, and many of his brethren were caught and brought into humans' living rooms to sit pretty under layers of colourful decorations. Yuletide, however, was much too small, so he was left behind - until Ann found him, deemed him just the perfect size and brought him in. But when the holidays ended and all the other trees were released back into the wild, Yuletide refused to leave. To this day, he wears a star decoration atop his head to remember the day he became a very special tree.
@Vertigo You good man. Although Snom starts at 1. We don't really have a 0... Or at least I don't think we do.
Regardless it's good to go. You can give Snom a 4th move though.
The first post said this, so that's why I went with 0:
You can only start with 2 types, Baby Pokemon that are hatched freshly start with 0, while any other starter will start with 3. Eeveelutions uniquely start with 5 while Eevee itself starts with 3.)
I can change it so that it isn't freshly hatched, if you'd prefer. As for adding a move, I can do that too, sure. The reason it had 3 was because Snom only learns 2 moves before it evolves, and we were only allowed one egg move. But I can slap a Fairy Wind on it as a second egg move.
