There's a reason why this Pokemon RP is labeled as "gritty" and "dark". Our story will revolve a group of longtime friends who all live in a small town of the region, which is undecided at the moment. This group of friends have decided that they will all depart home in search of their purpose, whether it be challenging the Pokemon League, becoming a coordinator, breeder, scientist, or so forth. There will definitely be slice of life aspects and romance, though there will also be darker elements as well. For instance, people can die. Pokemon can die. The enemy organization (which will not be a canon one) will kidnap, traffic Pokemon and drugs, and so forth-- essentially, they are a very deadly mafia organization. There will also be gangs and assassins that work for such organization and will more than possibly look to recruit people into their cause.
Yes, this roleplay will be 18+. It won't be meant for people who want to have the roleplay be all sunshine and flowers. Yes, there is hope. Yes, we will have goofiness and such. All the dark, gritty stuff will just run alongside the typical Pokemon stuff. You wanna be a guy who wants to plant berries for a living? Go for it. You want to join the enemy organization and spy on people? Heck yeah, that's my jam. There will be an overall arching plot that won't center around the League, so don't worry about that kind of stuff. All you need to worry about is producing a character that has a reason to travel the region with the main group. Just want to keep your friends company and find somewhere to settle down or someone to settle down with? I love it!
There are a certain number of rules I'd like to put down before you declare interest, though:
1) As stated before this roleplay will be 18+. No exceptions.
2) This roleplay will have darker, grittier tones and romance. Remember to keep extreme gore or smut out of the roleplay and in PMs.
3) I will only be accepting high quality characters. Just because this is a first come first serve roleplay doesn't mean you can bullshit a character. Take your time and craft characters that will be enjoyable to play as and play with.
4) Our characters will start with one or two starters at most. You cannot start with the typical starter Pokemon, pseudolegends, or evolved Pokemon.
5) This roleplay will be focused around character interaction and character plots. No one will be considered the main character. Remember this will be a coming of age story where everyone's in the spotlight.
6) Your Pokemon can die. Your character can die. Just putting it out there.
7) Our OOC discussions will be held on discord. You must join the discord if you want to join the roleplay. You must also remain active in the discord and be friendly towards one another. DO NOT GHOST. DO NOT DISAPPEAR. DO NOT BE RUDE.
