I think that's cautious thinking. It's not necessarily bad. If anything, you have a good point. IC, Najila just thinks that maybe she and Azzen were asleep longer than Nadir and Layla had and something happened in between where they met this tiefling girl and befriended her.

Y’all probably would’ve found out if Angus didn’t go door slayer and busted us out so quickly. Once we deal with these guards we ought to hang back a bit, assess out situation, and make use of that familiar of yours.

Sounds good to me! XD

Though, I have a feeling we'll have a hard time convincing Angus to do the same. LOL.

I got nothing till there’s a GM update.
Did I miss the part that said our stuff was outside our cells?
What’s at the other end of the hall?

Well right now we're in combat, so it's everyone turn. Me, Angus, and Aron have already went so now it's Azzen and Najila. Though suppose I do need to know what the opposed Thug's athletic roll is in case he rolls a nat 20, since he can't beat a 24 otherwise.

I don't see where Expolar mentioned where exactly our stuff is at. Presumably locked away somewhere, so it'll behoove us to find it once we deal with the current situation. Fortunately Orchid can summon her weapons at least, so we're not totally defenseless. Eldritch Blast and Vicious Mockery also don't have any material components either. Butt yeah, more details about the cell room would be good to know in case there's an obvious chest we didn't notice that might just have all of our stuff in it.

After the third door felt the force of the highlander. Those that saw for a short time outside the jail cell room was a dim lit spacious room of about a 30ft square containing some barrels and crates stacked on each other. In the center is table with a single plate and bones scattered amongst the table, and a single chair with 3 high stools around it. This is how much those would see before Aron placed the metal door back in.

For the jail cell room, besides what was initially mentioned, its rather empty.

I will say this again and more to respond to characters in my next IC post.

Thanks, I was just curious where the weapons came from.
More curious about how easily all the doors are falling off their hinges...

@Dark Light

Crazy good strength checks on Angus' part. He's rolling super hot when it comes to tearing doors off hinges. Like a DC 18 to tear a iron bar door off it's hinges seems fair enough, and Angus has been rolling at least 15+ before including his strength bonuses. Our man ain't even raging yet! Here's hoping we don't fight a wizard anytime soon, those wis saves will be the death of us.

Damn you're right! That's the problem when you think like I do. Either you jump at every shadow because you think it's a demon, or every demon is a shadow because that's what I was looking for! Alas.

Though honestly tbh looking at our characters, a lot of us ain't exactly great in the wis save department. Also @Vixen58 what did you use your Resilient feat on? It still looks like you only have two saves unless you used it on the saves you already have.

18 isn’t fair, any average Joe is gonna eventually get a 20, people yank on prison doors all day long and in groups. They’re made to hold.
3.5 had the dc at 28

@Dark Light Maybe there's also a story reason why. Like, these are older cells that haven't been used in a while, or poor maintenance/cleaning which would result in weaker prison doors.

@Dark Light

In 3.5 You'd be considered an average warrior for having an attack bonus of +10 at level 5 before any item bonuses too. And having an AC of 20 would be considered standard for non-martial classes. Breaking out of handcuffs, ya know the stuff that's suppose to keep your restrained, is also only a DC of 20 to break or DC 20 to slip out of. Both things an "average joe" could just keep rolling and get out of. I wouldn't use 3.5 as a good comparison to 5e, especially considering 5e has a much lower need to min-max to do anything more complicated than tying your shoe or looking at the sun.

@Vixen58 Weird, but I guess that's your choice.

@Lucius Cypher it’s quite simple, Azzen shouldn’t be able to rip a prison door off, but he can these ones. So he is going to investigate why.
If it’s like @Guardian Angel Haruki said, extremely aged, or maybe makeshift or inferior material it might give clues. If it’s just a GM hand out well that’s fine too but doesn’t change my IC approach.

You do you man, it's just we kind of have a situation on our hands right now and investigating the mechanical faults of a prison door might not be the most important thing to worry about if more thugs show up. Here's hoping we only have one or two to deal with since most of us are unarmed and unarmored.

Look on the bright side. The more thugs we deal with, the less unarmed and unarmored we'll be.
