“Captain, are you sure this is a good idea?” A smaller man asked as three figures lingered near one of the brick walls surrounding the Miller manor. The group of three had been in town for the day while the others stocked up on supplies for the ship. The smaller man turned his brown eyes up to the man he addressed as Captain.
This Captain stood tall and proud looking at the wall that was roughly about a foot taller than him. “No.” He said with a laugh to his voice as he threw the grappling hook. “But has that ever stopped me?” With that he began to climb to the sigh of the smaller man, who was his first mate. “I’ll be back. Throw this back over when I give the signal.” At the top of the wall he kicked the grappling hook back down to his comrades and jumped down into the back lawn.
The light brown pants, dark green shirt and black boots helped the blonde haired man blend into the foliage as he darted from area to area avoiding windows and light, staying in the shadows and if anything could be seen it would be that snarky smirking smile that he was sporting going through the darkness.
All manors were the same. Giant layout for no reason, way too much room in a house for a few people, lots of help hired even though hardly anything is touched and at least two stories if not four despite the need being so little and far between. The Miller manor was no different except it was only two stories which made climbing a lot easier. The bag on his back made this simple and sadly, this wasn’t the first time he had snuck into a house to kidnap someone but it will be the first time he intended on kidnapping someone for a long period of time.
Gripping the vines and finding his footing the 29 year old began to climb with a grace and elegance most people wouldn’t see from someone in his line of life. But alas, this was him and how he was now. A smirk moved across his face as he reached the balcony of his target and dropped silently onto the walkaway. The room was dark and the flames were out, good hopefully she was in.
The door opened without a sound and he slipped inside before hiding in the shadows. If the she didn’t hear the door she would most likely feel the change in temperature, it was a chilly night after all but that didn’t stop him from trying to achieve his goal and right now his goal was to kidnap the young maiden by knocking her unconscious so she wouldn’t make any noise, leave a threatening note and return to the ship.
Piece of Cake.
