Yeah, that kobold definitely be dead. The turn order is gone, but not the growing flames from the initial sudden 5 ft cube of magical fire is spreading.

With your perception roll, from the growing black smoke and fire, its a bit difficult to see what was once there. Although from what can be seen, there is not much of ash or scorched things besides except the wood itself remaining from what can be seen within.

With the investigation check, you don't find anything of interest on the corpses of the kobolds, except for each having a shattered glass vial that once contained a strange liquid that is now spilled and scatted on the ground. The wood containers in this room, like the ones you moved earlier, appear to be empty or containing some hay. For the 4 small pile of bones on the table, your captors were probably just eating the bones of some small prey animal. But a question is raised that, if there was 4th pile that someone ate from, where was this 4th person and what are they doing?

So are there two crates or 57?

EDIT: Also, Angus will be picking up the bag and reading the note during my next post. What's in the bag and what does the note say?

Oops, sorry about that, I meant to specify that there are 57 rations in those crates. I made the edit for that to update the post. So thanks for asking.

@rush99999@Expolar Edited my post to reflect Angus refusing her spell, so she has not casted it yet. I hope that's okay, Expolar. ^^"

So Expo and I have been chatting behind the scenes and we want to know what you think of this particular piece of Roll20 SRD. Should it have a place in our game or should it maintain a distance of at least nine hells from our imaginary table at all times?

The rule seems reasonable. I don’t mind having this rule in the game.

Object AC and such? I'll admit I use it for my D&D stuff too, though largely as a reference. It's usually helpful though if you wanna figure out how hard exactly it might be to say, break down a door or something. Used to be that objects had HP equal 5 x 1 square inch in volume. This resulted in things like a common wooden door having HP in the mid one-hundreds, or a chain being broken by a a few hearty whacks with a stick.

The real issue with Object rules is if/when things are equipment degrgation tries to get played, in which case shit gets crazy real fast. Realistic sure, I bet a sword will be pretty dull if I spent a whole weak cutting down a horde of goblins with it without maintenance, but it's a different kind of hassle were three fights can render a weapon into a dull club and it takes a whole hour to sharpen it to normal efficiency. But that's an extension of a rule that doesn't even exist, so take it with a grain of salt.

In short, I don't particularly mind object AC/HP as an idea. So long as Expolar doesn't try to pull a fast one like "Oh since you took some fire damage, your armor/backpack/pretty much anything you were wearing also takes damage, whoops your entire gear has been melted/destroyed in the process of you taking damage". If you're trying to sunder weapon, armor, or other items, those attacks should be made specifically against those items, and otherwise don't affect your character's own health.

Okay then, I will then be adding object durability into the first post. Additionally, as magical items are very resistant to many things, they may only be able to break under certain condition(s).

If you're trying to sunder weapon, armor, or other items, those attacks should be made specifically against those items, and otherwise don't affect your character's own health.

A bit of a overlap of Cleave if the armor is broken and the remaining damage carries over to the enemy's health. Although the the Cleave rule only states creatures. I may add an exception to the case of armor. So the armor is like extra health and provides some AC until broken? But how do you all think of this?

So long as Expolar doesn't try to pull a fast one like "Oh since you took some fire damage, your armor/backpack/pretty much anything you were wearing also takes damage, whoops your entire gear has been melted/destroyed in the process of you taking damage".

I mean yeah obviously some logic ought to go into it, getting fried by dragon fire is probably going to make your robes more than a bit dirty, but just like you say with the cleave rule it should only be when the damage is enough to go over should the damage than be transferred to say, your equipment. Optionally of course. If I had 65 HP and got hit by a fireball that did 50, I'm in really rough shape but all of my gear ought to still be perfectly usable even if I'm wearing silk robes with a net. But if I take another fireball for another 50 damage when I only have 15 HP left, then yeah it'll only make sense that not only am I fried, my gear is also in the process of burning too. But at that point I have a few other problems than some ruined equipment.
