Appearance: Leo stands at 182 centimetres tall and weighs around 80kg, is white of complexion and has a mess of long blonde hair, often tied into a bun in the back. His eyes are a pale blue, his chin and cheeks are often covered in a rough stubble of darker blonde hairs and his nose is slightly pointed upwards. His usual streetwear attire consists of hoodies, jeans and chinos, white and black t-shirts, and cheap sneakers. He has a tattoo of a cross on his left forearm, poorly made to have the appearance of grainy wooden texture.

Personality: Leonard is a careless and carefree sort of person. While he wouldn’t call it an issue, he has an issue with saying “no” to most, if not all suggestions thrown his way by friends and family. He’s not easily frightened nor easily made anxious, but not due to some sense of bravery or courage but because he’s simply too dense to realise when a situation is turning bad. He likes to think himself an expert at knowing people but is actually naive and assumes anyone that pays him any amount of attention is a decent human being.

After realising that the strange occurences of objects moving towards him were actually caused by him, rather than some odd coincidence of the cosmos, he didn’t immediately go to thoughts of heroism. Leo’s first ideas were of practicality, how these powers would be useful for making a living and a favourable impression. To his credit, he did reach the conclusion that all these ideas were moot if he didn’t figure out the extent and limits of his abilities.

The few decent traits Leonard possesses mostly boil down to being a very laid back individual. He gets along with most people and has never actively disliked anyone. And as he sees it, going along with almost literally every plan presented to him just means he’s easy to work with, rather than dumb.

Powers: Manipulation of gravity.
Thus far lacking sufficient practice in application, Leonard has been able to (accidentally) collapse the side of a small residence and create a small gravity well that tore off a small area of the ceiling and floor of an apartment. He can suspend anything, including himself, in the air for a short period of time - slowly but surely adjusting the position of the suspended object in a mimicry of effortless flight. One could only imagine the extent of these powers given further practice, thought and imagination.

Appearance: Image. Gerard stands a couple of inches over six feet in height, his figure lanky and lithe. His light brown hair is at near shoulder length while his face is dotted with light stubble. His skin is a pale shade. One of his most noticeable features are his eyes which are a striking blue. He wears plain, casual clothing, choosing not to frivolously spend on outfits.

Personality: Gerard is a quiet figure, one that never really speaks his mind due, partly due to the darkness of his thoughts and his rough childhood. He's a bit awkward socially, displaying a clear shyness. He does not have many friends, an he is an introverted being. He's a conflicted person, much of it due to his mental illness. He often has terrifying, insane thoughts that tell him to do horrible things. He never speaks of such thoughts in fear of being seen as a freak. Overall he is a loner who wants to have friends but is unable to allow himself due to his disorder and fears.

The superpowered young man also experiences fierce delusions and frightening hallucinations. Along with other symptoms of the mental disorder he has been diagnosed with, schizophrenia. His behavior is often extremely difficult to predict and he has been known to randomly withdraw emotionally and socially. He's a very troubled being, though the medication he takes does help him to a degree. The emergence of his powers has complicated things for him, often involving themselves in his hallucinations, dreams and thoughts. Internally he is a typhoon of emotions, something which he tries to dull with his medication.

Biography: Gerard was born into a very strict, traditional home. His father, Luke Lawson was a construction worker and a firm believer in corporal punishment. His mother, Anna, was a schoolteacher, and a little kinder to her son than her husband was. He was their only child and thus received plenty of attention from both his parents, positive and negative. He grew up in a comfortable middleclass suburb outside of Boston, Massachusetts. His formative school years were rough, but Gerard was an intelligent kid who did well in school. He was a frequent target of bullying from other kids, and had few friends growing up. His father was a harsh parent who wouldn't hesitate to spank or hit him with a belt if he stepped out of line or did poorly in class. This affected the gentle Gerard deeply, while it did cause him to force himself to work his hardest in his educational pursuit.

He rarely ever went out socially while in high school and his dad tolerated no proclaimed 'nonsense'. Gerard would also show signs of his future diagnosed mental illness, which were met with a variety of reactions by his family. His father would tell him it was nothing and even take to punish him when he'd exhibit some of the worse symptoms. His mother pushed for him to see a therapist, which did help to a degree, but not nearly as much as he needed. He'd still finish near the top of his graduating high school class and elected to attend the prestigious Boston College Law School. Gerard would live on campus, and showed promise as a potential future attorney. His parents as proud of him as ever, blissfully unaware of the issues boiling beneath.

Roughly two years into his time at university he'd find his ability to concentrate plummet as his grades followed. His schizophrenic thoughts seemed to accelerate, accompanied by the stresses of his life. They became so intense and intruding that it forced him to drop out of a college to seek treatment. This decision destroyed his relationship with his parents, Gerard and his father still have not spoken since the day he dropped out. This severed his one familial connection, leaving him more alone than ever. Gerard would end up receiving medication and psychotherapy for his treatment but he still felt the disorder clawing at his thoughts. He'd rent an apartment in Boston and get a job as a bank teller.

Gerard doesn't remember when his powers manifested, just that his mind suddenly felt different. He believed initially that it was his ill mind playing with him, another cruel delusion forcing its way into his head. Then he witnessed as he flung the objects in his living room around as if a small tornado had swept through it. From that moment he's subtly experimented with his newfound abilities, while hiding the existence of them from anyone else. In fear of being hunted down as a freak.

Powers:

• Telekinesis - Gerard is able to manipulate objects with his mind, the difficulty of the manipulation increasing with the mass and weight of his target(s). He hasn't tested it out on living things yet but he is certain he has enough power to lift and throw a human being. His experiments with the power has involved him household objects and things around him.
• Telekinetic barriers - Another aspect of his telekinetic power, Gerard has not experimented with this power that much. The basis of the power is that he is able to construct an invisible telekinetic barrier around himself (and potentially others). With proper training and usage he believes the power could be used to block attacks.
• Telekinetic levitation - Gerard is able to focus his telekinesis to lift himself off the ground and hover above the floor. He has only attempted this once, where he briefly levitated himself a few feet off the floor before he lost it and tumbled down. He dreams of one day strengthening this power to where he is able to fly through the skies, high above everyone else.

Drawbacks - While he is capable with his powers he is still not that experienced with using them, they're a secret to everyone but himself. Prolonged or strenuous usage of his powers causes exhaustion, to where he could black out or even die in the most extreme cases. While he is indeed a super powered being he is still otherwise entirely human, if he for example levitated himself into the air then fell a distance he could break bones. His durability is something which has not been affected, though he's noticed when he uses his telekinetic powers that it has a way of clearing his mind of schizophrenic thoughts. He believes if he is in a turbulent emotional situation he could misfire his powers. Gerard once woke up having found his belongings turned upside down, from unconsciously unleashing his powers during a nightmare.

Appearance:
Heat is a male of mixed East Asian and Caucasian heritage, standing quite tall at 6'1". A lean, mean fighting machine, he is built to be quick on his feet in both body and mind. The sum of his parts seem to indicate an imposing, intimidating man of action, but as a whole, Heat looks like he takes nothing seriously. A smile is almost always plastered on his face and his posture speaks of laziness more than anything else. After acquiring his powers, he began taking on a red color scheme, dyeing his spiky hair neon red, wearing red contact lenses, and taking to punk-ish maroon clothes.

Personality:
Heat seeks thrills. Like his name, he wishes life to be hot and spicy. The advent of superpowers is just the thing to hit him where it hurts good. He has a way with playing with others' sense of humor; were it not for the whole 'criminal record' thing, Heat might have turned out a damn good stand-up comedian. His daily activities reflect his outlook on life. A loud and proud squatter, he relishes in wandering around town, making people laugh, and running away into the sewers when his jokes go too far. Not afraid to do dirty to do what he feels is right, is his ideal. Heat has long since cast away the lie that is dignity.

Biography:
Trailer trash summed up Harry O'Brien very well. A son birthed from a less than cordial family, he grew up in unfavorable conditions, deprived of amenities people above his station often take for granted. Caught in the crossfire of a domestic warzone at home, he preferred to live a life outside what is comfortable. Harry began to appreciate what it meant to live on the edge. Some edgy urbanites would kill to experience what he experienced.

Run-ins with the law and subsequent time in juvie weren't all that uncommon for him. This uncomfortable life of crime became in itself comfortable. It amused Harry, how the kids on the block all saw him as this cool boy with the drugs while he took advantage of their curiosity. 'Is this all I needed to feel accepted?' he asks. This time of self-searching was about the time when he awakened to his powers of ice. It was by petting a dog and accidentally freezing its abdomen, killing it instantly.

He didn't want to admit it, but it was damn cool. He wonders what more he can achieve with this stone cold power. He wonders how many more out there are just like him, and how accepting they would be of the brave new world. Taking the name 'Heat' as a gaffe, he operated in the underground to make this nation a true land of the free(ze). The urbanites need a bit of excitement in their lives, Heat'll scratch that itch they never knew they had.

Powers:

• Cryokinesis. Contrary to his name, Heat's power relates to ice. He is able to generate ice from any point on his body, gradually dropping the immediate room temperature to a few degrees below the freezing point as he does so. He may dictate the color of his ice, which he most often makes red. Though his body is resistant to extremely cold temperatures, overusing his cryokinesis leads to widespread frostbite overtaking his vital organs.
• Temperature Resistance. Heat's has a much, much higher tolerance for cold temperatures. Conversely, he also has a much, much higher vulnerability to high temperatures. He can manipulate the air around him to cool him down, but even that is a temporary solution.

Appearance: Freya stands at 5 feet and 6 inches. She weighs 130lbs, and has a fairly slim appearance. She has short cut dark brown hair that she keeps stylishly messy, and red highlights on her bangs. She tends to wear shirts for various punk and metal bands, accompanied with black skinny jeans and work boots. She tries to ruck a sort of punk aesthetic. She has a bit of a resting bitch face, her blue eyes able to shoot a dirty look in .5 seconds.



Personality: Freya is very much a headstrong 16 year old. She is definitely in her rebellious stage. She likes to listen to music in her room at volumes that should probably deafen her. She doesn't like being told what to do, and doesn't like doing homework. School is fine, but homework sucks. Most days she gets home from school, goes into her room and watches tv or listens to music. She does have a few more constructive hobbies though, such as cooking. She legitimately enjoys making meals, and usually cooks dinner for her household. She often has the appearance of either being bored or pissed, that is except when she's around her friends. That's when her loud outgoing nature tends to show itself. She's rambunctious and very much the shot-caller of her main group of 4 other girl friends. She also stands up for them when assholes decide to mess with them. Her friends and herself aren't popular and try to stay to themselves, but this is high school and we all know that's not how things work.

Powers: Freya has the strange ability to morph and twist the shape of any metal she touches. She can make it any shape or length she likes, but is limited to the same amount of mass it already had. The larger the metal she tries to morph, the more time it takes to do so. She is also able to easily split metal apart, which she does fairly often with her six foot steel pole she carries with her. The more familiar she will be with a certain piece of metal, the faster she can change it.
