"If my only strength is my sword, even so, I'll surely protect the ones I love!"
Name: Kato Chunjiro (Surname first) Nickname: "Chun" or "Chuu-kun" Age: 17 Favorite food: Ramen ๐ Occupation: Samurai Appearance: Trained by his father from his youngest days, Chunjiro is confident in his strength, yet doesn't look too imposing upon first glance. He's a little late to start growing, and his arms and legs are generally a bit thin. Other than that, his face is kind, with much boyishness still visible in his features. Background: Chunjiro's father runs a dojo and was very strict on him as a child. His mother is a beautiful and well-mannered women who is highly thought of in the village, but a truly frightening mother. He loves ramen with fried fish. Has more than a few younger siblings and is used to working hard for other people. Nervous around women. As the eldest, he has been betrothed since birth and was expected to become a samurai like his father, a responsibility he has gotten used to.
๐ฉ๐๐๐๐: He's baby. That is all. He was scared of women as a kid, but he's slowly getting used to having Haru around and what that means for their futures. I think he's really cute, and I hope the rp last for a while.

โ Full Name: Theodore Romeo of Avignon
โ Titles: Priest Candidate; once he becomes ordained he will obtain the titles the Reverend and/or Father.
โ Nicknames: Theo, "The Pegasus"
โ Legacy: Successor of Galahad. Galahad's spirit rarely surfaces, so the link between the original Galahad and Theo is quite strong, especially when Galahad considers somethingโฆ important. His powers, cultivated by his priestly practices, mostly deal with purity. Some resemble the powers of Arthur, and some are more unique to Galahad.
His mark is the Mark of Chasity, which appears as a cross on the base of Theo's neck. In addition, his hair has been turning a white-blond color ever since he entered into education for the priesthood (seminary). [bors is similar so maybe change?]
โ Age: 16.
โ Gender: Male.
โ Birthplace: Avignon, a Caer historically filled with popes, priests and Successors of Galahad. It was only natural that Theo was the next in line, his father being a bishop and one of his distant relatives a Successor. Although he has been raised in the Caer's monastery since Galahad's mark appeared, a prophecy from the spirit himself persuaded the monks to let Theo attend the Royal Academy in Caerleon. It is expected that he will return once his education there is finished, although in some routes, the MC can sway that end.
โ Appearance: The Mark of Chasity, which Theo usually hides behind a collar, is no more than two inches long, but shines brightly when Galahad's powers are used. His hair, which initially blanched upon entering the monastery, has slowly been reverting to its natural dark brown color at the roots, a process Theo is desperately trying to hide.
โ Personality: Theo, as a hidden capture target, keeps his cards close to his chest, always wary of divulging secrets or any information that could be used against him. He's aware of his place in this world--as a successor of Galahad, the knight who obtained the Holy Grail, he deals with a lot of expectations about his future.
โ Synopsis: Raised to be a priest for as long as he can remember, never without the spirit of Galahad urging him towards a holy life, and dealing with his own personal struggles, Theo was praised as a "complex character" with "hidden depths" that made for an interesting story arc, as well as a marriage candidate that "you couldn't help but sympathize with." His route, only accessible after a successful playthrough, concerned Theo's "destiny," something the MC could either sway him out of (Freedom End) or strengthen his belief in (Holy End). In other's routes, Theo is somewhat unimportant, except in Bors' route, as he aids the knight in finding the Holy Grail.
Is the bodyguard of the MC?
โ Class: Pegasus knight, high speed and magic resistance but vulnerable to bows and with low defense and hp. Use spears/lances/javelins. Pegasi usually only allow females to ride them but he's the successor of GALAHAD and a PRIEST so he can get away with it. Need a name for his pegasus tho.

Name: Kato Jin Nickname: N/A Age: 36 Occupation: Samurai Favorite food: Rice. Background: A respected samurai who runs a dojo in addition to his daily duties, Jin is well-known as a someone you don't want to cross. His skill with a sword is second to none, and his training is so harsh he's known for having only one or two pupils at a time. How such a stern-looking person like himself got a beautiful wife has been the ongoing talk of the town for as long as Chunjiro can remember. Jin was especially harsh with his eldest, and Chunjiro has many painful memories of being forced to walk mountains barefoot, or duel until his hands bled. In summary, Jin is a man of few words and tough love for his children.
Name: Kato (maiden name Sayo) Chinatsu Nicknames: Natsu or Sayo-san by close friends, Oka-san by her children and husband Age: 34 Occupation: Housewife Favorite food: Miso soup (with soba noodles) Background: Beautiful, well-respected, and easily the most eligible maiden in the village, Chinatsu enjoyed a good education in her youth, and once had dreams of working for the government. However, her status as a women of marriageable age led her to enter into an arranged marriage at the age of 17, just like Chunjiro. She's made what she can of her position, but many rumors abound about her love life. She, like Jin, is strict on her children, but loves them dearly. It can just be hard to tell sometimes.

Name: Yua Nickname: Yu-chan Age: 16 Occupation: None Favorite food: Mochi ๐ก Background: Demure and beautiful, Yua is waiting for the day--no, the hour--when she will be married. Taught by her mother in all the ways of a good wife, she is perfect is almost everything she does, and has become quite popular in the village. However, the condition of her father--that they must beat him in an honest swordfight--has made winning her hand difficult. A loving older sister, she worries over Chunjiro, but has been soothed by the reports of her mother that he is doing well on his own.
"I want to be just like big sis!"
Name: Maika Nickname: Ai-chan Age: 14 Favorite food: All of them! ๐ Occupation: Cook Background: Like her older sister, Maika is eagerly awaiting the day she grows up, but unlike Yua, has a ways to go. She's childish, clumsy, and butts heads with Takeru constantly, but her aspirations to be as elegant as Yua have spurred her to study the ways of tending to a home. As a result, she has become a very good cook, at least in the eyes of her family. She takes care of much of the shopping, and is regarded by the village as a cheerful, if slightly immature girl who loves to talk. FC from Meika-san can't conceal her emotions
"Th-that's not fair! YOU'RE CHEATING! WAAAH!"
Name: Takeru Nickname: He hates them, but "Take-kun" is common. Age: 11 Favorite food: Onigiri (rice balls) ๐ Occupation: Woodcutter Background: Patience is not usually the first word to describe Takeru, nor the second, nor the hundredth. Indeed, the boy is so stubborn that even his famously patient father has lost his temper a handful of times when dealing with him. His hot-headed nature has denied him the spot as Jin's next successor, and seeing as he throws a tantrum every time Reo wins a Shogi game against him, he's not regaining it anytime soon. Looks up to Chunjiro the most. FC from Demon Slayer
"...Even if you cry, it's not going to change anything."
Name: Reo Nickname: Re-re (by Himari) Age: 11 Favorite food: Squid sushi ๐ฃ Occupation: Apprentice scribe Background: The older twin, Reo is much different from Takeru, both in looks and personality. Being a cool and collected soul like his father, Jin had hopes of training him to become a samurai like he did with Chunjiro, but Reo requested specifically to study under the local goverment scribe. His level-headedness and willingness to learn makes him a good pupil and it seems to be something he enjoys as well. He and Yua get along well, both being the quiet sort.
"What are you guys yelling about...?"
Name: Izukaze ๐ Nickname: Kaze (by his siblings), Zu-kun (by Yua) Age: 7 Favorite food: N/A Occupation: None Background: Yua and Reo are quiet. Takeru and Maika are not. As the second-youngest, Izukaze places somewhere in the middle. He gets along with his friends and family, but many have exclaimed over his grown-up way of speaking and "precocious" intelligence. Indeed, he seems almost too smart for his age, and some wonder if his laziness is merely an act. Whatever the truth, he's shown interest in becoming a samurai and Jin has admitted he shows promise. At the moment, he sticks close to his mother and his baby sister, Himari.
"Kaze, Kaze, let's play hide-and-seek!"
Name: Himari Nickname: Mari-chan (by her friends), Hi-chan (by her siblings), Mimi (by Chunjiro) Age: 4 Favorite food: Shaved ice ๐จ Occupation: Child Background: The baby of the family and a very cute one at that, Himari elicts smiles from everyone, everywhere she goes. She's a joy inside and out, although like any young child, she throws tantrums and sobs a bit when things don't go her way. But nobody faults her for it--nobody faults her for anything, her siblings would say. The youngest is usually the least punished, and Himari is no exception, but she's still loved by her siblings, especially Chunjiro. Unlike her siblings, Himari's hair is light in color, making her stick out even more. FC from Himari no Mawari
Dialogue Color: SteelBlue, Brown, BlueViolet, LightSeaGreen, #77EF00, #FF003F, CornflowerBlue, and LavenderBlush. As seen in: Domestic Samurai
๐ฉ๐๐๐๐: Chunjiro's siblings! He has three brothers and three sisters. Reo and Takeru are twins. Maika and Yua are close, but Yua dotes on everyone. Takeru fights with everyone. Izukaze is his father's favorite. Himari is Chunjiro's favorite. Chinatsu has no favorite. Since the rp is focused on Chunjiro, I don't know why I went to the trouble of making profiles for all of his siblings, but I wanted to. It was fun.
Would play again: Maybe Reo or Yua would be interesting as a main. As of now they are merely background characters.
Nationality/Ethnicity: Mother is a full-blooded Korean, father is from a family of Italian immigrants living in the U.S.
Personality: He thinks he's all rough and tough, but he has a big heart despite it all. Very susceptible to babies and large dogs. Starts fights a lot.
Background: Lives in the lower part of town with a lot of relatives in a slowly-falling-apart apartment complex. When he was younger, a lot of his cousins who he looked up to were rowdy, delinquent-ish guys, so he adopted those traits as he got older. He thinks the thug lifestyle is "cool" and has gotten several tattoos--without his parents' permission. Nowadays, stern lectures are common, but surprisingly, his relationship to his family isn't all bad. His grandmother passed away recently.

โฆ Name: Bin Seoya โฆ Age: 26 โฆ Height: 5'6 โฆ Weight: 144 lbs. โฆ Sexuality: Heterosexual โฆ Relationship Status: Single โฆ Nationality: Korean โฆ Place of Birth: Seoul, South Korea โฆ Occupation: Coordinating Manager for LiteUp Broadcasting Studio
Appearance: Seoya has been blessed with a bright smile, warm, puppy-dog eyes, and a good figure--though the last one is the result of her own dieting and exercising efforts. She dresses sharp, never flashy, and her favorite clothing items are staples, like sturdy heels, navy-blue blouses, and a flattering-yet-modest pencil skirt. At home, she's a lover of sweatpants, oversized shirts, and all things comfy, though she'd never be caught outside wearing them.
Personality: At work, Seoya is know for her professionalism, her upbeat personality, and her skill at handling many, many different things at once. A few years in the industry has taught her to always put on her best face, and she's ferociously good at negotiating on her company's behalf, making her a valuable asset. With her co-workers, she doesn't mind cracking a joke or two to lift the mood when the mood is low, but she doesn't let it get in the way of her work. The schedule comes first.
Confident as she is on-set, Seoya loves nothing more than to curl up with a good book or tv show over the weekend. Like every employee, she partakes of a little "drinking and complaining" every now and then, and you can usually see her at her favorite bar on the weekends. Secretly, she dreams of finally experiencing that "love" every K-drama boasts about, but her career-oriented life has given her precious little time to pursue that wish.
Background: The coordinating manager for LiteUp, Seoya juggles the schedules of dozens of individual acts, and is responsible for making sure by the time the lights go up, she's got one act on stage and three artists waiting their turns. Although not a sound or stage manager, she oversees much of the inner workings, as she's usually the one communicating with the artists and their respective mangers.
Before she got the job at LiteUp, Seoya dabbled in a few other careers, even signing for a short time under an entertainment agency before deciding the idol life wasn't for her. Coming from a good background, and with plenty of experience in management, she was an obvious first choice for the position of coordinating manager, and has been at LiteUp ever since, about four years.
Appearance: Daewhan is built like a rock. Besides his frequent trips to the gym, he holds a heavy camera all day and is always rushing around the stage. He's also got a variety of tattoos, some designed especially by his tattoo artist girlfriend. His fashion sense is nothing noteworthy, just jeans and white shirts. He keeps a straight face most of the time. Being from Busan, his accent is thick and "tough" sounding. (It's a thing, look it up.)
Personality: Like his hands holding the camera, Daehwan's personality is steady. He's not the most talkative person on the team, preferring to stay on the other side of the camera if possible, and keeps quiet about his personal life. He tends to get very focused on what he's doing, and interrupting his work is a surefire way to tick him off. And, while it's rare to see, he's fiercely protective of "important things" and will not hesitate to tell someone off if they're badmouthing.
Although not an overly ambitious individual, he dreams of becoming a famous movie director one day, spurred on by photography classes in high school and his girlfriend, who is always supportive.
Background: Nobody really knows where Daehwan came from, they just know he's been the unofficial lead of the film crew for a few years now. Moving from his hometown, Busan, to Seoul 3 years ago, Daehwan entered LiteUp with prior experience and quickly showed his bosses he knows what he's doing. He takes quiet pride in his work and can always be counted on to get the perfect shot. His work mostly consists of capturing the idols while they are performing, which means a lot of camera gymnastics and quick footwork.
Recently, he's been pursuing his passion in filmmaking more and more, taking online classes and dedicating free days to shooting and editing. It's unknown what he's making, but it seems to be something he really enjoys. On the weekends, he's usually out and about with his tattoo artist girlfriend, Minkyung, who he's been dating for 5 years. When he is getting married is a common topic during drinking parties.
Dialogue Color: HotPink and #55009B. As seen in: a 1x1 (doubling!)
Notes: Finally got my wish of dabbling more in kpop culture and the behind-the-scenes of the industry. I hope to explore a lot of my own personal interests so I'm glad someone was generous enough to go along with it ^^''

Human, 28, about one year with the caravan // Human, 6
โด Appearance: Lynn has curly blonde hair that reaches just below her ears and blue eyes like the autumn sky. She was once young and beautiful, but her innocence has long since been lost, and her beauty has been weathered by years of hardship. Her eyes, once clear and bright, are now sad and tired. Her body bears the marks of abuse, hard work, and motherhood. But past her bruises, scars, and stretch marks is a resolute mother, and that determination has made her hands rougher and her arms stronger. The callouses on her hands are from her weaving.
She usually wears long robes and dresses in dark colors--gray, black, dark blue, and dark purple. She tries to hide her figure as much as possible, aware of the looks and judgement it brings.
Her dear Pietro takes much after his father, with short, black hair, wide brown eyes, and a smattering of freckles across his face. His round face is expressive and honest. He wears a dark blue tunic with green lizards on it--hand-woven by his mother.
Lynn was once young. She once lived a modest but happy life in the countryside, surrounded by those who loved her. And she once saw the smoke rising from her neighbor's homes, and the warlord's army descending. As a child, Lynn saw her village razed, her parents murdered, and her friends taken away to become slaves, like her. Barely a teenager and now a slave, Lynn was shipped across seas and carted across plains for more than a year, traded between the hands of merchants who dealt with humans like livestock. At the end of the journey was a city that seemed like paradise--the city of Liva.
Ah, Liva! City of color and light, city of smells and tastes and sights so wonderous one might even call it gaudy! Here, the women dress up for breakfast, then change their outfits at lunchtime, and then again for dinner, evening, and bed. Here, the men parade the streets on majestic black steeds, armor gleaming, glittering, blinding. Here, the children light firecrackers in the streets at dusk, their shouts of joy mixing with the sounds of the city--half melody, half cacophony. In Liva, festivals are held almost every day, and the people are permanently drunk with wild joy, or maybe just drunk.
In loud, blinding Liva, Lynn found herself.
Liva was lively. Yes, even beautiful; but even the most beautiful city has its flaws, and Lynn saw most of them up close. The love of beauty became vanity, the love of celebration became frenzy, and the love of love became lust. And for a city whose appetite for the beautiful, shiny, and spectacular is unending, the supply must be also be unending. With her golden curls and rapidly developing figure--a non-issue to the Lynn Protected, but a dangerous, unnerving thing to the Lynn Captured--Lynn was the perfect product. The madam of the Blue Rose, a well-to-do brothel, immediately recognized the value in the young girl, and purchased her on the spot.
She was sold at the age of 14. By 15, she was a favorite of many patrons across Liva, both important and unimportant, and Madam Rose could not be more proud of her top earner.
Those years were the hardest for Lynn. The people of Liva did everything so loudly, and she struggled to learn their flowery language and extravagant customs. And while not every client of hers was a depraved beast, all were faceless, unfeeling. She grew used to being used. Her blonde curls, once the pride of the village, were now just another reminder of the vanity of Livans. Her body was a nothing more than an encouragement to insult, to catcall, to touch, to judge, to use. She was always being touched, everywhere. Some men would hurt her. Others would barely look at her.
By the time she was 18, though, things had begun to change. Madam Rose and the Blue Rose had prospered, and the prostitutes of the brothel were treated well. Lynn ate well; she was warm and well-groomed. Her beauty had fully blossomed, and she knew how to reel in the customers with a gentle and kind demeanor. The other prostitutes knew her, and while some were jealous, others offered her advice and wisdom. She learned how to navigate Liva, learned how to speak their language like she was born there, learned to love, in least in some small part of her, their festivals, their fashion, their songs.
It was then that she was introduced to the loom. The craft of weaving captured Lynn's heart and mind. The weavers of Liva were proud and skilled craftswomen, and Lynn admired their dedication and their stern countenances--traits so not like Livans, and yet these weavers were behind all the most beautiful outfits in the city. It took time to learn the craft, and longer to convince the weavers to teach her, but soon enough Lynn had a small loom in her room, where she would weave for hours. The detailed, repetitive work soothed her; feeling the threads grounded her mind in the present, the painful memories of the last decade melted away into nothingness, and Lynn could believe she was almost happy.
Things continued like that for years. Lynn continued her work at the loom and at the brothel, dreaming of the day she could sell her work, leave the Blue Rose, and maybe even go home. The turning point came when she met Valentin.
Tall, handsome, and gentlemanly, Valentin was her client only once. Captured by Lynn's beauty and intrigued by what might lie behind her gentle persona, he returned to the Blue Rose again and again, just to catch a glimpse of the "true Lynn." Lynn was struck by Valentin's unbothered manner, his oddly modest dress, and the way he seemed to really care about her. What began as curiosity grew into a friendship, and then, eventually, a romantic relationship. For the first time in more than a decade, Lynn felt respected and loved. For the first time in years, she had hope for a better future.
At 26, Lynn gave birth to her third child, a son.
Finally. A chance at a happy life, a normal life. Away from the Blue Rose, away from Madam Rose, away from her past life. Valentin had wealth, but he was also private; with him, Lynn could spend her days weaving and caring for her son, unbothered by the judgement of society. Just them three, a happy family.
Imagine her surprise, then, when Lynn discovered that Valentin had a wife. Heartbroken and furious, she confronted Valentin, only for him to dismiss, berate, and insult her. It was when he raised his hand against her that she understood: Valentin was not going to give her the happy life she wanted. She returned to her loom in tears, her hopes and spirit crushed.
Yet, when she looked at her newborn son, she couldn't stand the idea of staying in Liva a second longer. Her son deserved better than this vapid, soulless city that had used and abused her for so long. It was clear Valentin didn't care about them and wouldnโt lift a finger to help, and Madam Rose was bound to be just as (or more) merciless.
It was decided, then: She would have to do this herself.
Lynn's departure was as unassuming as her entrance. No Livan paid mind to the woman with a baby boy in her arms, her precious loom strapped to her back, and her curls chopped off. She boarded the caravan without a second thought, refusing to look back at the city she had called home for decades. The Lynn of Liva was no more. And good riddance!
โด Personality: Tired, so tired. Lynn has spent a lifetime being used by others, and makes one weary.
Outwardly, Lynn will appear quiet, mild, and gentle, but inside, she is a woman of resolute strength and will. She is wary of anybody or anything that could pose a threat to her child, and she's fiercely protective of her son and his happiness. Healing for herself may be impossible, but she'll do anything she can to ensure that Pietro has a long, full life ahead of him. Even if that means lying, manipulating, or seducing (hopefully not!).
Past the secrecy and distrust, though, is a warm and loving mother. Lynn wouldn't think of herself this way, but she is still capable of great love, especially to young women and children. The past year with the caravan has given her some time to relax and perhaps even heal, and her weaving and her son give her something to work for. Maybe, given enough time, she can begin to hope again.
Lynn brings with her Pietro, also called "Pio" by his mother and other children. Pio is a bright and energetic child, endlessly curious about the world. Traveling the caravan at such a young age has given him an endless supply of new things to learn and new people to talk to! He can usually be found asking never-ending questions to anyone who will answer him--under his mother's supervision, of course. Pio has an interest in magic, among many others, but his mother is unsure if he should pursue it.
โด Motivation: To give her child a better life, and to find the children she's lost.
โด Skills: Lynn has no magic, but she is a skilled weaver with decades of experience in the art of making clothing, from procuring supplies to dyeing garments to sewing, etc. She speaks several languages (this is to be determined when I know how many languages there are) and possesses a lovely singing voice. She is good with children and often takes care of the caravan's children.
โด Strengths: Although she's no scholar, Lynn could be called "street smart." She knows her way around people and money and is pretty perceptive.
โด Weaknesses: Lynn is only human; she isn't going to put up a fight against any physical or magical force. Like many of the caravan, she prefers to keep to herself, and she can't read or write. She is also incredibly touch-adverse, and will freeze up or lash out if touched without warning.
โด Tools: Her loom and her weaving supplies. Her and Pietro rent half of a wagon from an older woman in the caravan.
What She Most Wants: for Pio to be happy.
If She Had a DnD Alignment, It Would Be: True Neutral
Three Likes: Weaving, Pietro, a long nap
Three Dislikes: Being touched, being stared at, liars
Does She Follow Her Heart or Their Mind?: Heart
Worst Fear: Losing Pietro
Favorite Color: Royal Purple
Favorite Food: Tomato Sandwich.
Favorite Time of Day: Sunset.
Favorite Season: Autumn.
What Gods/Spirits/Whatevers She Worships: Lynn has prayed to them all, and none of them have answered.
Other: Lynn has had two other children in her youth, both daughters, that were taken from her soon after birth. She aches for them.
Full Name - Fuji Eikichi Eikichi, meaning luck, and Fuji, meaning wisteria Nicknames - Ei-kun, Fuji-kun Age - 16 Gender - Male Year - Second Year
Personality
Silver Tongue Eikichi has always been good with his words - after all, it's the first defense of any middle child. Between squabbling with his older sister Rei and vying for attention with his baby brother Takeru, Eikichi has gotten very, very good at picking out the right words for every situation. Whether it's persuading a teacher to let him off easy when he's forgotten his homework or giving a few well-placed compliments to an unsuspecting victim classmate, Eikichi knows how to turn the tide in his favor. Because of this, he's become popular with both girls and boys.
Meddling Eikichi also has a sneaky side. He notices a lot of little things other people wouldn't, and he uses that power to mess with people. If something catches his interest, it's likely he'll stick his nose into it, and he especially likes meddling in people's love lives. Of course, he knows when to stop... but he can't help making people flustered, although it's usually intended to give him or her a good push. Fundamentally, Eikichi still sees himself as a side character, and he figures that stirring up the feelings of the main cast is his duty and right.
Reserved Because of certain events in his past and the general middle-child-syndrome he was born with, Eikichi tends to keep his cards close to his chest. He doesn't say a lot about his personal life to those who won't appreciate it, and it takes him a while to truly trust someone. His outer crowd may be fangirls and cool guys, but his true friend circle is made up of kind and honest people that he doesn't have to put up as much of a front with. To some extent, his flirty, popular school persona is nothing more than a faรงade to hide the boy who was called plain, and is afraid he still is.
Soft Heart Under all that quick wit lies a maiden's heart. While Eikichi's tongue may claim the hearts of many a schoolgirl, he's never been in a serious relationship, preferring to stay as the unreachable prince-type while he waits for the perfect girl to walk into his life. Deep down, he's a softie and a true romantic who would definitely get flustered if the girl he liked flirted with him. Because of his soft heart, he often helps people against his better judgement and is attracted to the honest, easy to read type.
Character Relationships
Osanai Suzuka "Suzu-chan? Why, we were as thick as thieves back then... I remember her coming over to my house for dinner almost every night. And then one day, she moved away and left me behind! It kinda, well it really, ticked me off. We were really close and then she just disappears! But I've moved on now. If I ever see her again... Suzu-chan's going to have one heck of a surprise!"
Morioka Haruto "Me and Haru? Well, yeah, I guess he's alright. Somehow, he's the type I just can't leave alone, so we hang out a lot. His heart is really pure, so you get the sense of needing to protect him... Not that, I, uh, worry about him."
Isshiki Mikako "Whew~ Mikako-san has a lot on her plate, doesn't she? She should stop saying yes to everything and let us help! Not that she doesn't do a good job, of course. She just needs someone to help her relax every once and a while. Come to think of it, she was really close to Suzu-chan. We used to all play together, but it's been a while since I've chatted with Mikako-san. I guess I kinda left her hanging, didn't I?"
Arashiyama Junko "To be honest, I'm really bad with headstrong people, but... Arashiyama-san really is admirable. Not everybody can be themselves like she does. She probably hates my guts though, haha!"
Sakamoto Ryuuichi "I've heard a lot about him. He seems like trouble, but I feel like I've seen him feeding the stray cats after school... perhaps there's more than meets the eye with this guy?"
Shinomiya Koharu "Well, look at miss pep over here! I remember seeing her over at the old shokudo back in the day. She was a quiet thing back then, but looks like I wasn't the only one who had a high school glow up! Anyway, how many part-time jobs does this girl have? And does she ever run out of energy!?"
Chihara Takaya "Talk about serious! And boring. I can't stand the goody-two-shoes type, but if Takaya ever wants to have a real good time, he knows who to call! But seriously. Surely he isn't content to stay like this his entire life? Doesn't bother him when people act like he's not even there...?"
Other Information
Has an older sister, Rei (19), who is in her first year of college and lives at home, and a little brother, Takeru (12), who manages to be both very annoying and irresistibly adorable. Eikichi is close to his siblings, but like any true family, they fight a lot and tend to be very rowdy. Rei is the only who who can get under his skin without trying, and he would never admit how much he loves having her around. As Takeru has grown older, Eikichi has gotten to share some of his interests with his baby brother, which makes him think that being the older brother might not be so bad. His dialogue color is #6567be. He is in the Kyudo (archery) club and was in the student council in his first year (but quit because it just wasn't for him). He has a mole right below his right eye. Lives in Minamikawa, and has his whole life. His family has ties to the local shrines, and he sometimes helps out around festival times.
Physical Description
Eikichi was called "plain" a lot back in middle school, so he's made an effort to stand out in high school. Since he started archery as a first-year, he's built some back and shoulder muscle, along with some impressive calluses on his hands. He hit a considerable growth spurt at 15, so he's almost reached 5'11.
His hair, which is black and shiny, reaches a little past his ears and is styled fashionably to show off a bit of forehead. When he's at home, he keeps his bangs down, as his hair is somewhat thick and therefore difficult to style each morning. He thinks that his bangs make him look kind of nerdy, but he's too afraid to take scissors to it.
His fashion sense is very modern, and he keeps up with the trends and generally spends a lot of time grooming himself. At school, he spices up his uniform by wearing earrings and belt chains, giving him a bit of a "bad boy" look. Around town, he wears a lot of black skinny jeans, turtlenecks, bomber jackets, and combat boots. He's a fan of the big coat + tight pants look.
Despite all his efforts, though, Eikichi still has a plain face. His most noticeable feature are his slanted eyes, which give him the impression of a fox. Appearance is everything, and Eikichi knows this most of all - if he didn't put in all this effort, he's convinced nobody would give him a second glance.
Personal Story
Eikichi had an average homelife, but growing up as the middle child does tend to make one feel forgotten. He spent much of his childhood fighting for attention with his oh-so cool older sister and his adorable-yet-annoying baby brother, and he remembers vividly the feeling of being too young to do anything cool but too old to be babied (a feeling that has not left him in high school).
Thankfully, Eikichi was not alone - the girl-next-door, Suzuka, was his constant playmate and trusted confidante, and from the ages of 6 to 12, the two of them basically grew up together. Eikichi remembers many dinners spent with Suzuka as just another member of his crazy family, although he never quite understood why Suzuka never had dinner with her own family. To him, Suzuka was the one person who always paid attention to him, the person he could always be a hero for. They were inseparable, or so he thought.
Since Suzuka was the awkward type, Eikichi quickly became her voice, protecting her from bullies and speaking up for her in front of crowds. It was then that Eikichi realized the true power of words - they weren't just a way to win arguments with his sister, but they could help Suzuka. They could even make her smile! It was the spark that started the fire - Eikichi was going to get good at speaking. He had to, if Suzuka wasn't.
Unfortunately, words couldn't stop Suzuka from leaving him. The day Suzuka told him she was moving away was the day Eikichi's tiny heart shattered. The move impacted Eikichi greatly - he was very attached to Suzaka, and a very sensitive child - and in the years that followed, he convinced himself that there was something wrong with him. If he had been truly important to her - not just "plain old Eikichi" - then Suzuka wouldn't have moved away. Of course, the move had nothing to do with Suzuka, but Eikichi resolved to be the sort of person people wouldn't leave behind.
Changing his image took a lot of work. Having a quick wit and a smooth tongue doesn't guarantee you a spot at the cool kid's table. There was something else even more important: looks. Determined to move past the days of being called plain by his elementary school classmates, Eikichi became interested in fashion, and eventually got to a point where he was satisfied with his new appearance. Now in his second year of high school, he has a good reputation and the attention of everyone except the one person he wants.
Notes: Eikichi, Jun, and Lynn all have very similar dialogue colors. I can't help it; they all feel blue-purple to me. Eikichi is a riff on the foxlike, flirty, sneaky side character that shows up in a lot of romance manga. They usually get in the way of MCs, but end up backing off after seeing proof of the main couple's love. I think putting that character in the spotlight is a really interesting idea! And Eikichi has a really soft center.
Would play again: Remains to be seen. RP hasn't actually started yet.
