Personality: By berserker standards, Halvar is actually rather mellow. Anyone who angers him will still be flattened without hesitation, but it's easy enough to get along with him when he's in a relatively calm mood. In battle Halvar's rage and the large quantity of shrooms he takes before combat makes him an unreasoning force of death and fury, he takes no prisoners and sometimes even loses the ability to distinguish friend from foe. Halvar has also developed a dependency on shrooms. The best way to draw his ire is to mess with his stash.
Bio: The only thing known about Halvar's father was that he towered over other men. So when Halvar was born 9 months after his mother slept with the man one night, what his last name would be had been decided the day his mother's morning sickness first occurred. As a child, Halvar built up an amazing amount of strength by carrying sacks of broken rocks at his uncle's quarry. As he got older, he grew taller than others of his age. Eventually becoming just as tall as his father. He also developed a short temper that became very dangerous when paired his his great strength and was only made worse when he started taking shrooms. When he was 18, a man tried to abduct Halvar's half-sister to take her as his bride. Halvar beat the man to death barehanded and took his sword and warhammer as trophies. Halvar then spent the next 2 years putting those weapons to good use and making a name for himself as a deadly berserker. Now that the raids have been announced, Halvar makes for the docks, eager to find fortune and glory in the lands beyond the sea.

Extra: The pauldron is more for comfortably resting his warhammer on than for any real protection.

personality: Ulfrik is generally level headed. As the son of Æinridi, a renowned blacksmith, he grew up working in the forge, which shaped how he thinks. He rarely loses his temper but is always ready for a fight.
A rowdy presence in the mead hall, he enjoys his drink and his friends. He has decided to join the raids this year to make something of himself.
Bio: Ulfrik Æinridisson is the son of one of the renowned smith, Æinridi. His mother, Thyre Boedottir, was a great shield Maiden, who travelled the world, bringing back good metals and designs to her husband. Making Æinridi one of the best Black Smiths in the region. Ulfrik grew up in relative luxury. Being put to work in the forge from a young age made his body strong. A talent he put to use in training for war. He dreamed of raiding like his mother from a young age. This desire for raiding was increased every time he delivered a sword or axe to a raider who told him of the glorious tales of combat.
Training with sword and axe, supplemented by the strength training from working the forge, Ulfrik grew into a formidable man. When he was nineteen, he loaded up and wandered off into the woods. The men were away on a raid, and the village was being plagued by a pack of wolves. Armed with a spear, axe and seax, Ulfrik entered the woods to hunt the wolves. What followed was a gruesome battle that resulted in most of Ulfrik's scars, but he eventually came out on top. Dragging the wolf carcases back to his village. He spent the next four years training and healing getting ready to go on his own raid. Through his deeds of killing the wolves, and wearing the wolf pelts, he earned the moniker Vargr.

Name: Erik Sveinson

Age: 22

Personality: Erik is a reserved young man who prefers to keep to himself, but by no means is he adverse to attending feasts and socialising among his clan. In fact, food is one of his favourite things. His quiet nature aids him in battle. While most vikings prefer to clash on the front line, Erik takes advantage of the confusion of battle and uses flanks to gain the advantage over his enemies. Being a bit smaller than most men his age, Erik has learnt how to use his size to favour him.

He has proven his talent in stealth and subterfuge. His aptitude for exploring makes him a great scout, and if you want to clear a path without making a sound then Erik is your man. While some might call his style of combat "dishonorable", he is far from it and if needs be he is not afraid to take someone head on.

Bio: The son of a fisherman, Erik was raised to provide and help whenever he could. Erik learnt the trade since he was able to hold a rod and he enjoyed it greatly. However, whenever he had free time then Erik would go sneaking off generally being a nosey brat. He had a fascination with getting into places he shouldn't be, just to see if there was anything people were hiding. While growing up, he found himself to not be as tall as his peers, and most depressing of all was the lack of facial hair save for a stubble that was growing. Although his actual hair grew to great length for a boy and he took pride with it's appearance, using a silver metal band at the end of his thick braid.

Erik discovered that while he may not have been the strongest or the toughest, he was definitely the fastest and quickest. When learning how to fight, Erik surprised many of his opponents with quick thinking and nimble footwork before tripping up his sparring opponent or slipping behind and putting a blade to their neck to achieve victory. Hearing the raiding calls, Erik felt he was destined to become a great warrior this way.

Equipment: Erik wears little armour so he can be as light as possible, save for leather armour pauldrons and braces, but he does bring two Seax's by his side. As well as that, Erik carries a small pocket knife for skinning and as a backup. He also has a black hooded cloak and a cloth as a face wrap to help blend in with the night when he's on a stealth mission.
