Masami Hyuuga

Konohagakure Genin, Team Hiron

Masami took her position as per orders of Hiron-Sensei and carefully listened to the next set of instructions that followed. She picked up the increased pace and remained at the back of her team - a few seconds later, she formed the Ram Seal and activated her Byakugan, granting her a slightly increase in sight range. This man is ... serious, she though for herself as they continued towards their target. As she learned he will be not entering combat, she was a bit concerned but remained calm. Mia was already a Chuunin, so she sure had plenty of experience, especially if she grew under Hiron-Sensei. The Nara Clan was know for brilliant strategists, so Shikaroku was not to be worried about either. That left only her and she decided she will not let her team down.

As they sighted the target, they immediately sprung into action. She was a bit shocked at the grunting of the turtle and it´s - jogging speed? Masami had her suspicions that this was one weird turtle. Masami immediately spotted Mia sending her ninken to the other side of the lake - as a backup plan, she was almost sure of that. Her eyes scanned the area in search of anything that could help them. They were to keep the turtle from getting into water. Masami got an idea how to slow it down - or at least to attempt slowing it down."Mia! Shikaroku! I am going to try and slow it down! Be prepared. Water Release: Water Trumpet !" Forming the necessary seals, she spewed a large amount of water in front of the turtle, trying to slow it down by turning the terrain into mud.

Natsume Yuki
Dew Islet

Natsume saw a flash of light fly through the mist toward where she was heading. It seemed like their sensei had an axe to grind with teammate number three. So long as that axe didn't come her way she didn't care, and probably would never care. Caring wasnt something she knew how to do, or waned to know how to do for that matter. But what was slightly disconcerting was that the light was most likely a lightning release. Surrounded by water that could turn out pretty bad if anything were to go wrong and the last thing Natsume wanted in her life was an incompetent sensei. She stopped walking for the sake of not being electrocuted by the abundant moisture. Deep down she admited to herself, that she was about to hate this entire experience from this point until she died.

Kumori Yotsuki
Kumogakure Genin
Team 5

The explosive tag inside the water clone went off, too early to have hit its target, but just early enough to tell Kumo that the teacher had launched an attack in retaliation. Kumo started to make the handseal for another jet of water when the entire world around him was replaces by a blinding white light. His eyes shut tight, blinded by the flash. Sensing something, Kumo spun to his left, barely avoiding being impaled by a thrown kunai, instead slamming face-first into a tree that he'd had no idea was there. The white haired boy fall backwards, still too blind to even see the stars that danced in front of his eyes. "Oowww, that one's gonna leave a mark," he mumbled to no one. "What's a tree doing in the middle of a forest anyway? Stupid tree." Wisps of white smoke escaped from his mouth and drifted lazily off his skin.

Tsubasa Kokoro

Hearing the bell over the door chime, Tsubasa lifted her head and looked toward the entrance with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. Perking up in her seat, Tsubasa tried to straighten herself out as she saw Yumi walk through the door. As the word ‘captain’ rang from her lips, at first Tsubasa had a hard time realizing she was talking to her. In her mind Tsubasa did not equal captain. Quickly adding two and two together, she quickly smiled nervously and gestured for Yumi to sit. “R-right… Well, Team Four is known to be notoriously late. I’m sure Katsuko and Ryo will be along soon. Um… Yumi. Could we please stick to my name? It isn’t like I ranked up or anything…” She said lifting her cup to take another sip of her tea.

Tsubasa felt a chill run down her spine as she heard the bell ring yet again, and Katsuko emerged from the entranceway. Casually walking forward, he calmly greeted her and Yumi and settled himself down next to her. Eyeing a small bit of maple syrup on the corner of his mouth, Tsubasa’s sighed. “Good to see you finally made it and are well fed…” She said as she set her cup down and picked up a napkin to wipe his mouth. Seeing him out of his flak jacket, also displayed his keen wish to take it easy, which meant Tsubasa’s job just became harder. “I at least hope you enjoyed the stack…” She grumbled as she smooshed his face with the napkin until she heard the doorbell ring again.

Ryo strolled into the teahouse, prompting a small grin to grow across her face. Noticing the group, he let out his customary Oi’s and asked the question the majority of the group was thinking. “Well hello to you too, Ryo… Seeing as you were the last to arrive, you’ll be covering my tea. I think it’s about time we start getting places on time.” She chuckled before dropping the napkin and going to her waist to grab a small scroll.

Taking it off her Guardian sash, Tsubasa broke the wax seal and rolled out a bit onto the table for her team to see. “We’ve been assigned a ‘routine’ patrol from the Rain Country to the Grass. Officially we will be looking out for rogue ninja. Unofficially, we want to try to capture a Stone ninja alive and bring him or her back for interrogation. We will have to make it seem as though a rogue ninja put them out of commission so, Yumi, we may have to limit your crystal jutsu.” Tsubasa turned toward Katsuko. “You’re Chikaroatoshi will probably be our best bet to bring him in alive… that is if you are comfortable with it. I’m sure we can think of something to else if needed.” She said before turning her attention back to the rest of the group. “So… in short, patrol up and down a border and try to capture anyone who tries to cross. Any questions?” She said as she picked up her teacup.

Hiron Hon,
Konohagakure Jounin | Team 9

The jounin looked from the distance. He found it amusing that his students weren't using the earphone communicators. He could listen to what they said as he kept his on, wanting to listen to every tactic they would use. Though it was clear that Masami was going to try to go first. Using a water technique, the man frowned. Masami had trained underneath Zakito, who could use Water Release. He wasn't frowning at the mastery the girl had with the water technique, but because she aimed for the terrain. Likely trying to slow down the turtle.

The big creature let out something that could be mistaken for muttering curses. The elephant sized creature stopped as the terrain had became too risky to continue at the jogging speed. At least for him. Turning his head towards Masami, he eyed her with a lot of anger in his eyes. The cracking and angry voice was heard as he spoke to the Hyuuga. ''You annoying..'' He opened his mouth and Masami would likely detect that the chakra flow of the turtle was changing. A jet of water was shot towards her as the turtle attacked her. With that attack send away, he began to continue his 'escape' to the lake. This time slower, but still wanting to get to the large body of water.

Hiron rubbed his chin with his right hand, wondering what his students would do. They had the advantage of numbers, but would that help against a foe that was smart? He wondered about that as he kept watching.

Ryo Katsu,
Konohagakure Chuunin | Team 4

Ryo's grin faded away. As soon as he sat down, Tsubasa said he would cover her tea. The boy wasn't eager to do that, but he simply nodded. Still, he wasn't really pleased with it. Though he listened as Tsubasa briefed them about their mission. It was thus a patrol with the addition that they should capture a shinobi from the Stone if they saw the chance. Ryo had no actual problems with that. Not that he held any grudge against Iwagakure, but it was simply as how the shinobi world worked. Something he had learned even as a chuunin. Besides, wasn't it not for the greater good? For Konohagakure? As Tsubasa finished and asked if they were any questions, Ryo nodded.

''Seems fine with me. Only problem, next to covering your oi... tea, is that what will we do when we encounter another patrol? Will we just attack them and try to take one or two alive?'' Ryo asked, crossing his arms as he waited for his answer.

Mika Hayashi
Kirigakure Jounin.

Team 14

With the briefing done, she noticed that the girls were quiet. Likely they understood the mission or decided to just stay quiet. Both which fine with Mika. She almost had turned around before hearing the question of Ria. In an instant a kunai was pulled out of Mika's kunai holster. It was spinning in the air as Mika's cold voice rang through the air. ''I dare you to ask another stupid question. I don't care for the lives of thugs, scum and criminals. As long they are dead or incapable of continue their devious work, I am content with it. We're heading out. Now.'' She told them as she the grabbed the kunai by the hilt and stored it back into the holster.

With that done, she then picked up a pace. Not one that was too fast as she reminded herself that her students should be able to keep up. The location of the hide-out was on the same isle as Kirigakure was. So they wouldn't be bothered to travel by boat or such. Which was a relief in Mika's opinion. Meant that she had to spent less time with the genins on a mission. It would be kind of a bother as she was used to finish a mission as soon as possible. Now she had to watch the back of the three genins that were placed underneath her watch. The lips of the woman curled down. Wasn't she lucky?

Kiyomi Sato-Hon
Konohagakure Jounin.

Team 2

Kiyomi frowned. She couldn't fool anybody though? She hadnt' been acting and yet Leo claimed she had. It was a bit strange, even odd, but she let it slide. He probably had misunderstood something. And besides, it wasn't that important. As he came out of cover, he asked her why she had Samehada with her. That was also a bit of a strange question. Sure, she had not used Samehada or brought him with her at times, but it was kind of her weapon of choice in the general fights. It was like asking if she would use Lightning Release in an upcoming fight. ''Cause Sharky is my weapon and comrade?'' She asked back, but making it clear that the question was there to make him think about his own question. Was his question really one that was needed to be asked or?

She did looked around. There was no sign of Hayate. Was he late? Wouldn't he come? That would be a bother. They had a mission to do and she wasn't sure if she could just go on the mission alone with Leo. Not because she couldn't do it alone with Leo, but it would give some nice experience to Hayate as well. Deciding to wait a bit longer, Kiyomi nodded towards Leo. ''Seems we need to wait a bit on Hayate. Best if you would do something to warm up before we head out.'' Kiyomi instructed him as she looked around again.

Harumi Uchiha
Konohagakure ANBU.

Heading out

The masked ANBU only nodded. She didn't look up to Hisoka. Why would she? To glance in those eyes of his? The thought alone made her feel confused. She was here to obey orders. And he just briefed her about her newest orders. Seemed she was going on a covert mission, to gain also some intel about Suna's plots and movements. Best bet would be to capture a jounin or such. Wouldn't be that easy, but she could come up with something. The only thing that was off about it was that he seemed to trust her enough with to do this alone. Or was it because he hoped she would perish? No, then he would likely say that she should make sure that she wouldn't be dressed as a Konohagakure nin. So that wasn't it. Wary of what it would mean, Harumi noticed Sakamoto Senju. With him likely distracting Hisoka, Harumi began to fade away in countless amounts of paper, that would go underneath the door and form her body on the other side. Once that was done, within a few seconds, Harumi began to move.

She had to arrange a team and the requirements for her mission. The sooner she could finish that, the sooner she could increase the distance between her and Hisoka. At least she would have something on her mind. Hopefully.

Suzaku Uzumaki

Leaf ANBU, codename Fox

Suzaku carefully listened to the instructions from the Hokage. Delivering a couple of documents should be a rather easy task for him to accomplish, but he still had to be on his guard. If an ANBU operative was entrusted with the documents, they must be of great importance to the Leaf Village. He stayed for a while, as he already started to plot the best path to take to The Land of Lightning. He would do best to follow the trade routes, as they were guarded better than most other routes. As Hisoka-sama gave a mission to Harumi, his fellow ANBU operative a mission, he was about to leave as well. Just as she was leaving by changing into countless sheets of paper, he decided to take his leave as well." I won´t let you down, Hokage-Sama. Sakamoto-sama ..." he spoke up, saying the last words as a polite, respectful goodbye to Sakamoto. A second later, he disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Reappearing in his flat, he picked up the few things he decided will aid him in his mission. He took the mast from his face and strapped it to his belt. He would not be needing it while in The Fire Country. Donning his traveling cloak over himself, covering the mask and making him stand out less, he was ready to head out. He pulled the cape on his head, covering his face but maintaining good vision. While in The Fire Country, he will move using classical means of travel. As soon as he leave the borders, he will use The Body Flicker Technique to increase his pace. Taking a deep breath, he disappeared in another puff of smoke. Appearing on the main gate of the village, he gave it another short look before leaping off ... towards The Land of Lightning.

Jizo Uzuwaru
Kirigakure [Team 2]
Genin

As the bolt of lighting wizzed past Jizo's head, he fell back onto his butt, cluthing handfuls of sand in both hands. His eyes widened as he felt the warmth from the previous bolt spread from cheek to cheek. Jizo stood up to get a grip on reality and find out what was going on, releasing the sand from his hands as dusted himself off. "WHY!" Jizo shouted as he looked around the small island. "WHY ME!" Jizo continued to scan the small island, sure that neither of his teammates had delivered the powerful bolt. Smiling at the act, Jizo displayed his shark-like teeth for all to see. "I just got here and, already, attempts on my life are being made!" he said, still wiping sand from his pants as he lazily walked towards his teammates. The closer he got to the other, the more another figure began to appear. "Murder-sama" he mumbled as he squatted near the other two. [/b]"Sent to murder us all on this small isolated island..."[/b] A scene of the mysterious man clutching Jizo's throat as lightning rained down over well orchestrated music played through his head. "...and babes" he said, mumbling again. Girls in bikinis and beach-balls filled the scene in his mind, still in the death grip by the mysterious sensei. Just as he began to get a look of the man's face in his daydream, he came to and got a good look at the man with his own two eyes. "....." silence, as Jizo squatted, looking up towards the man.

Shinkō Akamatsu

Team 6 Genin

Shinkō looked up suddenly out of a trance and blushed "Oh my god, im sorry Im just so happy to meet my team since i became a ninja in the middle of what happened last year. it is very nice to meet you all and maybe after training we can talk about me, not much to know but I guess it's like Hiroshi Sensai said it'll lead to more team work" she walked up and grabbed on of the boards before going back to Hiroshi and bowing "Im sorry, I was kind of happy for one of the first times to be in a team, forgive me" she whispered so only he could hear. She looked up and slightly bowed again before quickly tying the rope around her waist and breathing slowly. Then she motioned for the other two to come and connect the ropes to hers. She looked and the uchiha and could already feel the amount of energy he head, no doubt he would be most likely a troublesome kid but a lot of compassion to make up for it so if they failed she would not entirely blame him only tell him to try harder and try again. Suzumi also seemed to be as or even more experienced as her so she did not worry about her.

Tsuyoshi Nakagawa

Raion failed to accomplish anything in terms of their test, but he didn't fail to give Tsuyoshi a source of amusement. But before Tsuyoshi could act upon the opportunity for them to actually work together, Kumori decided to leap in himself. Tsuyoshi realised he probably should've guessed he would be the type to rush in like Raion. At least it gave him the opportunity to observe their Sensei's method of retaliation. But what caught Tsuyoshi's attention was that Kumori's clone had gone and readied himself a kunai. He was about to say something about that, when a brilliant flash of light caused him to flinch for a moment. When he re-adjusted, Kumori had fallen down and his clone was nowhere to be seen. When Tsuyoshi gave it a good thought, he reckoned that Nori had thrown something himself. "Tch, guess we're not pulling any punches...." He muttered, and then preformed his own set of hand seals and spat out a Rock Clone. With that done, he went and gave Kumori a hand. "If you've still got the guts for it, you make another clone and have at him from the left. I'll get him from the right." He told him. Last, he spoke to Raion. "Make use of those legs of yours and try to grab him while he's distracted. Just mind your feet this time, huh?"

And with that, he took off along with his clone, both circling to approach Nori on the right flank. The clone shouted. "Hey cockbite, eat this!" And followed up with a pair of shuriken. With just a moment's delay in between, the real Tsuyoshi threw his own shuriken, aiming for one of Nori's legs. Simple tricks, but if Kumori was in a state to join in, maybe they would be able to take up his focus enough.

Tsubasa Kokoro

Tsubasa scratched the tip of her nose and thought about what Ryo said. "Seeing as we want the most information out of them as possible, in the event of us running into another patrol, we would attack based on rank. We would mainly attack targets that are higher rank and with possible intelligence, such as scrolls or order papers. It also goes without saying that we won't be attacking anything that puts us at risk. It may be hard to capture a squad of higher level ANBU." Chuckled briefly before taking a sip of her tea as she watched Ryo's smile disappear. "And the tea is non-negotiable. Tis thine penalty for being tardy." Tsubasa said, not realizing she slipped into her teacher's speech pattern. "Of course, I would have done the same to anyone who arrives last. Consider that a warning to your wallets, team." Tsubasa said slyly before taking another sip.

Eiji Emiya

As his students spoke Eijij held his eyes on the road. There was quite a lot he could tell from the way people spoke about themselves. It was evident that Shiro wasn't inclined to tell that much about himself. The basic stuff Eiji has asked for was there, but that was it. Kuni was a bit more open. It made sense though. No-one was very willing to tell strengths and weaknesses to a person he or she had just met, but this was not the time to be covert. A team needed to be strong together for it to be effective. And being effective was the most important goal.

He nodded when both were finished. "Good." He said. "That is a good start. Now," he gestured with his hand fowards, "soon we will be traveling through a forest. Normally I would travel around it, but that takes too much time right now. I can't drag you on trainings missions for too long because I am needed back in Amegakure. So we are going through the forest and I want you guys to be on your guard. It grows in a swamp area and because of that the air is thick and humid. At some spots it can cause halucinations and such. Some say it makes the forest look alive..." He paused for a second for dramatic effect and then shrugged. "Don't think that any of that is true, but what is true is that getting lost is easy and finding your way back is harder. So we need to stay on the path and we should not lose each other. However if this might happen, keep moving, don't stop. We will rendevouz on the other side of the forest. Understood?"

As he finished explaining they arrived at the edge of the forest. The trees were tall and gnarly, the leaves dark and murky. Before them was a few foot wide path that disappeared into the darkness. Eiji didn't seem bothered. "Come on." He said and moved forward to the path.

*-*

Hisoka Uchiha

Hisoka wondered if he should find new friends. The ones he had now seemed set on entering his office through his god damn window. Why couldn't they just follow the normal routine and come through the door. A knock would be nice too.

"Good morning Sakamoto." Hisoka said, his voice strained. "How nice of you to show up."

He took brief notice of Harumi disappearing and nodded to Suzaku as the ANBU left as well. At least those two had the respect not to come late or enter through his window. For a moment his thoughts stayed on Harumi and he wondered if he should have spoken with her more. But that would have complicated the situation. He dismissed the thought therefore and turned back to the Senju.

"I have a mission that I'd like you to undertake." He said as he took another sheet of paper from his desk. "This message has to be delivered to the Mizukage on short notice. I would like to meet her." He handed the sheet to Sakamoto. "And while you are at it, it would be best to keep your eyes open. Kirigakure has changed, or so I heard, and I am interested to hear from you how it has changed. Infrastructure, city layout. Small stuff.

Oh, and Meisa is okay with it."
He shot the man a meaningful look.

Trying hard to refrain from rolling her eyes at the Uchiha boy's enthousiasl and the other girl's shyness she tried ignoring both of them, and paid attention to their sensei instead. At least he seemed like an intelligent person. Regardless, the idea of being forced to trust these two idiots was just too much. But speaking up wouldn't work either, so she had to do it. Sighing she bound the rope around her middle, but with a knot she could easily undo. She grabbed a plank and walked over to the lake mercilessly pulling the other girl along. She looked at the shape of the plank for a moment, then at the water, quickly becoming dirty with the sand of the pit, and made a decision. "Ready?" She asked the others, giving them a quick look.

Shiro Nagakura

After his Sensei approved their little chat, he resumed by telling them about the soon-to-reach forest they were about to enter. It seemed like he wanted to scare them with old tales and myths concerning such landmass. Shiro didn't bother to believe him though, it went against his believes to worry about something that didn't exist, therefore, he remained calm and collective. He didn't believe in 'what ifs', so a forest that makes one hallucinate was improbable.

Regardless, he was in training mode, meaning that his lazy persona was no longer taking over him. When on the field, he was focused in order to succeed in his task. If training was going to take place once they get out of the 'supernatural' forest, then his mission was to get out as soon as possible. He was anxious to increase his level of chakra control and was tired of seeing nothing but trees.

Unable to prevent it, Shiro yawned as he followed Emiya Sensei, keeping up with him regardless how dense the air around him was. The temperature and weather obviously changed, just like Sensei had announced. He turned to his teammate to make sure she was also keeping up. She was an earth style user, from what he's heard, earth style users were sort of slow.

Hayate Hyūzu
Team 2
Konoha Training Fields

His eyes opened in a panic. What time was it?? Looking around quickly, Hayate realized that he was not at home in his bed. A look of puzzlement crossed his face before he remembered where he was. Rolling over, Hayate managed to sit up. He slowly remembered passing out in the training field after spending the whole night pushing himself to the point where he could push no more. Exhausted, he had collapsed under a tree and fallen asleep.

Shaking his head at his own foolishness, Hayate stood up. He had pushed himself too hard, wanting to show Kiyomi that he was ready, and that he could handle himself. He wanted to make a good impression to his new team, but now he was going to look even more foolish.

Hayate brushed himself off and started running. He didn’t know how late he was, but he only hoped that he hadn’t missed meeting with his team altogether. As he continued to run, Hayate felt energized, as if his few hours of restless sleep had somehow replenished his stamina. Perhaps his training was paying off.

Hayate began to slow as he caught sight of Leo and Kiyomi. He paused, even now it was strange seeing her like this. A smile tugged at his lips, either way it was good to have her back. Shaking the thoughts from his head, Hayate jogged forwards, calling out to his team. “Hi Leo-san, hello Kiyomi-sama.” As he grew closer to the pair, Hayate had to resist the urge to bow his head in shame. He knew that would only worsen his situation. Walking forwards, he locked eyes with Kiyomi. “My apologies for being late Kiyomi-sama. It will not happen again.”

Shikaroku Nara
Team 9
Konoha - Mission: Bringing down the Turtle!

Shikaroku had fallen into formation as soon as Hiron had given the orders. Coming into the clearing he caught his first glimpse of the massive turtle. "hmm." Was all he thought to himself. He watched Mia send her Ninken around the lake. It was clear what she was planning, and Shikaroku was glad that someone else was also thinking tactically.

Instead of acting immediately, Shikaroku took notice of his surroundings. He noticed Hiron hanging back behind the team, his features difficult to read. As Shikaroku turned back to face the giant turtle, he heard Masami call out. Observing how she attacked, Shikaroku was slightly surprised to see that she knew how to use Water Release. While it wasn't unheard of, it was certainly unusual for Hyuuga clan members to use different Chakra Natures. Noticing how Masami had distracted the turtle, Shikaroku smiled. It had given him valuable time.

Using the distraction, Shikaroku moved quickly to get behind the turtle. Taking advantage of the turtle's large shadow, Shikaroku used his Shadow Imitation technique. His shadow darted swiftly across the ground and connected with the large beast's. Not allowing himself to get too excited yet, Shikaroku held his ground, hoping that his technique would work, and that he'd be able to hold the turtle in position. For how long, he didn't know. But he hoped it would give them enough time to formulate a plan to take the turtle down.

Speaking quickly into his communicator he addressed his comrades. "Mia, Masami. I think I've got him pinned, at least for the moment. If you can, see if you can find and target this thing's weak points. We need to find a way to drive him from the water. If he gets there then he will have the advantage. Any ideas?" Shikaroku knew that he'd be able to come up with something if necessary, but he was trying hard not to over-exert himself. If he brought on another migraine he would be of no use to his teammates. He would have to rely on their skills which, something told him, wasn't going to be all that hard.

Takeshi Shun

Kirigakure - Meeting the Students

Stepping through the mist, Takeshi was finally fully visible to his three students. He watched as the student who had shown up late, Jizo it looked like, sauntered up to the others muttering about something. Takeshi smiled inwardly, but on the outside his face still held its neutral look. He looked from Jizo on to the next student, the female, which had to be Natsume. She had seemed to notice his presence before the others had. Takeshi found that quite interesting, he'd have to keep an eye on her. Shifting his gaze once again, he settled on Ryu. The boy seemed to have some skill at kenjutsu, this was also something he would watch carefully.

Finally, Takeshi adopted an expression of disinterest. Looking down at all three of his students, he spoke lazily. "Well it appears at least two of you show some initiative. That is good to see." As he said this, Takeshi fired a small glare Jizo's way. Looking back at the group he continued. "My name is Takeshi Shun. And it appears that I have the pleasure of being your sensei." His tone was a mixture of sarcasm and amusement. Takeshi cocked his head slightly, keeping up the lazy demeanour he had grown so used to. His eyes betrayed him however, and they shone with a keen interest as he spoke his next words. "Well, now that I have introduced myself I think it is only fair for you all to do the same. Introduce yourselves to me, and to each other. And, if you'd be so kind, tell me a little bit about yourselves as well."

He stared at the three students in front of him, awaiting their replies.
