Hm. I have an idea: What if Jaden just wrapped up another mission or task and is sent over? Would be less jarring than just saying he was always there.

That could work, can have the mission as a sort of open status so others can join as long as they have access to the Yardrat instant transmission service.

@Double Hey good to see a familiar face! Liking the background for the character. Looking pretty good, I got no complaints, he's hired!

@IceHeart Thanks. I remembered the thing about Namek's climate cataclysm from the series and just sort of ran with it for myself. I wasn't sure if things like Regeneration and Giant Form needed to be counted as technique slots so I just did so anyway to be on the safe side. Which reminds me, if I wanted Sitar to know something like Clothes Beam would that also need to be a full on technique or does that only apply to major combat abilities?

And finally, in case anyone was curious, Sitar is the name of an instrument and Kakui comes from a dish named sate kakui which is made from, you guessed it, snails. Namekian naming convention is indeed preserved. xD

@Double The clothes beam would be considered a magic technique so ya, it would have to be a technique, although now that I'm thinking about it...Namekian regeneration doesn't have to be counted as a technique as pretty much every Namekian has a that ability, Giant Transformation on the other hand does need to be a technique as only a few Namekians have been able to utilize it. So if you want, you can replace regeneration with another technique.

@IceHeart Gotcha. I swapped in Multi-Form in place of Regeneration, then.

@Double Yeah, I definitely remember you. Were you in a rp that involved characters being pulled into Equestria from MLP?

I'll try to get this back up and going soon, but some things I need to take care of first.

@IceHeart

I will work on getting another post up sometime tomorrow or late tonight if I'm fortunate enough.

EDIT: Though might go ahead and wait for Double to join in before I post again, now that I think about it

@IceHeart@Potemking

Yeah, about that, what kind of excuse should I use for suddenly appearing? Returning from some offscreen mission or something?

@Double

Returning from an offscreen mission seems like an effective way to implement yourself right away. Then you can just have your green boi sign up for the mission and use the Yardrat service on the ship to port over.

@Double Returning from another mission is a good enough reason, though it is not like you have to force yourself to have just finished a mission. Maybe you were on the other side of the Scathers' current planet before your got the message and just now got back to the ship. Heck, ya maybe just got back from the small vacation after a mission if ya want. In any event just need to find a way to get back to the Scather to accept the mission and you'll be good to go.

@Dark Light Hmm, yes I think I like this version better than the previous one, nice to see someone going the magic route. Sets up some interesting backstory that could become plot down the road too. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the ??? power level, which somewhat makes sense for a magical character as their power is different, but just got to make sure this doesn't become an issue down the road. As long as you don't start 'magically' fluctuating in strength, unless a plot point is hashed out before hand, I think this character could work.

Would be nice to at least have a rough idea of what his power level is at though to be better able to write battle scenes, especially if you ever end up PVPing someone else.

Gonna think about it a bit more but certainly leaning toward acceptance.

Oh sorry, the ??? Power wasn’t supposed to be a mystery it’s just I’m not sure on what it should be.
I want it to be noticeably high but balanced out by his lack of skill and training. He has little experience or knowledge (hence no type of ki blasts) and his skills have been things he just discovered his body could do.

Despite being strong and fast he might hesitate in combat without being given direction. He struggls when presented options and might opt for strength when he should go speed.

His journey is one of learning who he wants to be and what code he wants to live by.

@Dark Light Well make sure you put in an approximate power level comparison. Most people have chosen characters around the Namek Saga so you will probably want to choose something around there as well. If you choose a main character for comparison make sure to name the time period you're judging them by. Don't think about it too hard but I will need to see something there before I can accept it.

Three more bikes were loaded up and sped off toward the cliff side as quickly as possible, the riders themselves stayed behind to run interference and attempt to capture more natives.

The first thing he noticed was a trio of armored foes speeding away on vehicles. If they were Slavers, then that meant they had to be transporting their captives in some manner using those vehicles. All that really meant was that simply blasting them was not an option. But Sitar had his own idea.

The Namekian dive-bombed to the ground, ensuring that he would be directly in the path of the fleeing Riders. The large emblem emblazoned on the back of his vest seemed to gleam in the light, just before Sitar lunged forward. As he did so, he spun his body around, making sure to elongate his arms in order to create a wide, sweeping blow capable of clothes-lining the Riders right off their vehicles. Without them operating them, the vehicles and their occupants wouldn't be going anywhere else.

I think there's a small problem here. The bikes can return to base on their own and the riders themselves stay behind as cleanup crew to try and grab even more villagers. So the vehicles that are retreating wouldn't have their drivers.

In my defense, Sitar wouldn't know that the bikes can keep going on autopilot. And fortunately I was also vague enough with my wording that I didn't specifically say the bikes stopped. My wording was that without the riders the bikes should stop, but again, Sitar obviously doesn't know about their autopilot feature yet.
