“Hello” a voice says from the darkness. “And good morning (afternoon, evening or whenever it was you died.)” The voice pauses. “Damn it. I didn’t mean to be so blunt, or insensitive. It’s been a busy day. There’s a lot of you coming in, and everything has been a bit chaotic. Normally the office has everything running smoothly, but lot’s of people are on vacation, at the same time. Yes. Yes. Terribly improper, but that’s the way things turn out, right? ”
There’s a silence, and the feeling of the darkness thinking, and clearing its throat in the awkward silence permeates the air. “Anyways, back to business, right? Unless you want to just stand there and watch me fidget? No. No. Of course not. I hope.” A nervous chuckle bounces around the dark like somebody in a phone both who was curious how many times a super ball would bounce if you slammed it at full force.
“So, yes, you are dead. That’s the bad news. Let’s just bite that bullet right away like a bandaide you’re ripping off, want to get it out ASAP, before hair has a chance on growing back and getting on clingy with the adhesive, right? Right. Right.” Somehow, the darkness, still, perfect, and infinite, seemed to bob up and down like a salesman who was eager for a sale.
“But where there’s a negative, there’s always a positive. Granted some times that positive is just things couldn’t actually getting any worse, but those are rare. And, lucky for you, the silver lining on this cloud isn’t covered in dents, dings, and dust. You’ve got yourself quiet the silver lining, a second chance!”
“Yes. Yes. You heard that right. You’ve got another go of things. How many get to say that? Well, technically everything whoever existed gets to say that, because of souls, and energy and the whole of existence being shaped like a giant eight, but that’s neither here or now, but the point is your second go is a bit different, at least if you chose for it to be.”
Drumrolls, the universal/ cosmic/ existential means of building effort which didn’t require effort or thought boomed throughout the darkness. “And here it is.” Off in the distance of black paint smeared over all of being, a light flickered. It was from a lamp, one of those street lamps fueled by gas. Beneath it there was a single console with two buttons.
“Now, normally when people die they just get flippy-flopped over the astral plain and start over as something fresh. Some get human, some get animals, or planets, or what your world would consider aliens. Which sounds okay, right, but the majority aren’t so fortunate. Actually, most living things spend the majority of their times as either single-celled organisms or viruses. Which is what’s going to happen to you if you push that blue button on the right, but”
A dramatic pause. “But if you hit the yellow one on the left you get to guarantee you not only stay a body which almost certainly will at the very least resemble the human form, but a humanish being with all your knowledge and sometimes most of your memories you’ve managed to acquire through, I guess a sadly short number of years..”
“That’s not all there is to the yellow button, not by a long shot! The best part is you get to go on an adventure, and not just any adventure, one pre-ordained by the very gods of the collective cosmos! Sounds exiting, right like something any sane person would be quick to push. Right?”
Silence filled the air like a thick cloud of humidified vapor which made it hard to breath, but not for the soul surrounded by the darkness. Beyond the veil of space and time, a god watched anxiously to see if the left button would be pushed.

Ladies, and gentlemen, welcome to Nexus City, the home of those Earth spirits that either didn’t want to roll the dice and find themselves as a virus, or were too fond of their past experiences to let it all go down the astral toilet.
1. An rp is a living breathing entity, much like a dog, and as such it has one of two choices, either adapt or die. Which to most is an easy choice. As such I reserve the right to edit and update these rules/ OOC threat as I see fit.
2. GM, My, word is law and while I will endeavor to do my best with weighing all issues and concerns as fairly as possible, an organization cannot continue to run smoothly or even exist if there’s no head. I am that head, but make to mistake I promise to do my best to make sure this head doesn’t mall all its decisions from its own ass.
3. Communication is key! Talk to me! Asks someone to talk to me! Let me know what’s going on and we’ll do the best we can to figure things out and see what can be done over the issues.
4. I have high hopes for this rp and as such want to see it thrive, and in order to do that I have to make sure that people are playing their part. So there’s going to be a few rules in regards to posting
-Post twice a week. If you can’t do that let me know, and we’ll see what we can workout.
-Two post cool down, IE you post, then two other people post, because I, and I’m sure many others, hate coming back to an rp, and see there’s twenty or thirty posts from the same two people.
5. Writing standards. No, I’m not a grammar-nazi, but I do have certain expectations for someone I rp with. They’re not super high so please don’t worry.
-At least two paragraphs per post, and at least one of those paragraphs has to do with some for of action that moves the story further.
-Everyone makes mistakes, that’s cool, but if you’re writing is so incoherent that I need to reread it two or three times and still have no idea what’s going on then we’re going to have a problem.

Core Abilities
-Core abilities are unique abilities or items which every rebooter enters the world with
-Core abilities work in stages like Bleach Zanpakuto or Digimon. Every stage must be worked to achieve and has to be manually activated
-The higher the level the greater the strain. I'll leave it to the user to explain and define their levels as they come up, but basically the greater the reward the greater the burden.
Skills
-Skills are special abilities, actions, techniques, items, which can be purchases by anyone
-Skills are purchases by Experience which is post counts in the rp
-There's a limit of three skills spots
-Skills can be swapped out at specific locations
-Skills can be traded in for 75% of original value
