Appearance Description
Six feet tall but barely a hundred and twenty pounds. His features are immaculate, as is his platinum hair. Though the former is natural, the latter is bleached and has to be meticulously maintained. His natural hair color is more medium brown. He has steely gray eyes and full lips, which tend to be smiling or grinning. His teeth are a break in his perfection; slightly crooked and stained from his long time smoking habit.
His clothes tend on the expensive side, even when they don't look it, and he usually dresses in layers, to allow for multiple pieces in any given "look." During the day, sunglasses are ever present.

Personality
Bruce is the sort of person who can charm even as he annoys; he makes it endearing. He considers himself larger than life, and sometimes even manages to fit that description. A gregarious person by nature, he likes, and tends to be liked by, crowds, particularly those of the drunk variety. He is a people-pleaser, and though this often leads to altruism and even true compassion, the root of that desire is in the quest for attention.
Bruce's attention seeking behavior is anything but small scale. He's a man who wants to get somewhere, but he's gone backwards before and is wary of it happening again. He'll take a risk, but not before calculating it over and over to himself.

History
In school, Bruce was a class clown, well liked by fellow students. Even most teachers found it hard to hold his antics against him, with his ability to ingratiate himself with them.
Still, he was never a great student, and academic based prospects were limited. But he had gotten some attention at school talent shows for the little band he had put together. And soon that turned into open mics, and then small venues.

Though not quite the original cast, his metal band had finally started to hit the charts when the Equinox happened.
The chaos that ensured obviously was not good for business, but they made due, and laid low like most folk who didn’t have a stake in the new questions of privacy and personal freedom that arose.

When the dust settled, they released a new album that was quite relevant to the struggles of the past few years.

Though far from a real life rock star, Bruce and Cloak of Shame were doing alright until his ADB ranking hit tabloids, and suddenly everyone was pretending they already knew who he was, and what he was about. The publicity was excellent for album and merch sales, but the attention being so focused on him caused some tension between him and his bandmates.

At present, Bruce is officially on sabbatical. He has enough income from residuals and the like that he doesn’t have to worry about funds, but he’s having a difficult time with the semi-self-imposed isolation.

How they were affected by Equinox
Some people would find powers like his a dream come true, but to Bruce it’s only ever been inconvenient. First, everything felt weird. Everyday tasks presented new challenges, and truth be told the more advantageous aspects of his power really weren’t much use to him.
His music has changed drastically. Strings lose their vibration very quickly when he’s holding down on the fret, and he can’t sustain a note on his guitar without special effect pedals.

After the ADB was created, Bruce began to see a drastic shift in how he was treated. People were afraid of him after looking him up. Though he had not done anything with his powers, everyone seemed to believe it was only a matter of time. He can’t get on a commercial flight, or even enter an airport. He has been(very politely) asked to leave establishments on more than one occasion.

Personality

When first spoken to, Kangxian would come off to most as having a smooth and almost seductive manner of speech, his voice seems to fit his mannerisms as the man constantly be turning around clad in robes of various kinds, most of them being red with gold on them. His movements are quite fluid, like as if he were in water, just floating about.

The man seems very keen on asking questions and providing answers, even to questions not directed towards him, providing doing so is within his interest ofcourse. The man seems to have a cold and calculating mind even amidst the most dire of circumstances, even when he would bark out commands to those he would find in his company.
He isn't the type to bow to anyone, unless doing so would benefit his cause or that his opponent is beyond him.

When engaged in combat, Kangxian fights both with grace but also with a fierceness and merciless manner, giving his opponents very little time if any to recuperate. Using cheap tricks to win is also not beyond him, but if the moment requires it he will gladly undertake a one on one duel of sorts and not allow anyone else to interfere.

If a foe or ally would try to interupt a fight he wishes to continue then they too may risk getting at the receiving end of his powers. That said, the man is not entirely all about fighting or being unreasonable. He just views himself as an apex predator in a forest, he considers his own capabilities closely as well as that of others. Even if someone has skills far below his, he values determination, dedication and people who follow a code of living, even if said people would be his enemies. And in such cases he won't even allow his allies to end such an enemy, because those who strive for higher grounds are a thing he admires and feel resemblence to.

Trying to get others to see things his way or providing suggestions to allies and foes alike is another thing the man is prone to do. If he finds interest in some particular individual, he will pursue that one until he seizes hold of them or loses interest.

Aspects of the Peacock mantis shrimp

The mantis shrimp has the quickest punch or move by any animal alive, so it doesn't come as a surprise that this man can punch fast and with devastating effect.

Kangxian's grotesque looking arms are both powerful and quick weapons which he utilizes well to achieve results. When the man strikes using his mantislike appendages, he does it at such speed that it is enough to cause water to boil from the pressure itself, and as if the initial hit wasn't powerful enough, there is usually a second hit caused by a shockwave of just the sheer speed. Meaning that even if the man would miss with a punch, the shockwave could shatter cars, concrete and hurl things caught in it's path a distance depending on the weight of the object or target.

When it comes to defensive properties, his skin is covered by small plates which gives him both resistance to many sorts of damage but also makes it very hard to break his bones and limbs. These plates while small renders the man resistant to all but the most powerful of bullets, which may cause cracks to appear in the plates if let say he is hit by a sniper rifle.

Kangxian has been bestowed with amazing vision, most of it is his ability to zoom in on things far away if need be or to see things which are normally well camoflagued or hidden from most others field of vision. Being able to see well in the dark, heat vision and ultraviolet. He can alter his vision to what best serves his need.

He is also an oddly good swimmer, his turning speed in water is better than his top-speed though. He can also breathe underwater.

Kangxian is born taiwanese, raised there and educated well in matters of english, history, psychology, philosophy, martial arts, theatrics and more. But the man moved to Vorpool just two years prior to the Equinox incident, seeking a new life and a new life he found, but not the kind he was expecting.

His parents and relatives were left behind in Taiwan, and presumed slain at the first awakening when chaos erupted. Kangxian's relationship with his family wasn't the best, prefering solitude to gather his thoughts and find himself, whom he truly was and what he wanted to do with his life. He had a promising career in martial arts, but due to an accident where he lost his left arm that path was cut short. The young man found himself leaving to Vorpool soon after his injury, finding employment in a library.

Kangxian enjoyed the silence that libraries brought, and to delve into the many history books of the world, written by the winners of wars of the past or not. It was amidst all this knowledge that his views on the world and it's people became warped, changed or altered... whichever word one would prefer.

The young man, cursing his injury for having prevented him from reaching his dreams. He grew bitter and resentful towards others, especially those who didn't appreciate their lives or gifts which they had been given. His own ambition, whilst halted by his injury he came to realize... was still alive. Alive and burning like a firestorm inside of him, just waiting to burst out and engulf things in fire.

If that's what he needed to do, perhaps there would come a time for when he could press forwards...

How he was affected by the Equinox

Kangxian woke up screaming, his vision was strange as if he had been blind all along before. How long had he rested? He didn't know, but the feeling where his left arm had been had been replaced with pain, he could feel as if something was devouring him or growing on him, like a symbiote or a parasite. He didn't know which. He reached for his shirt, tearing it apart looking at his skin at his chest and right arm beginning to become blue, with small streaks of orange and green dots over it.

His right arm began to also ache and distort, the pain causing him to faint and then wake up. He reached out with his right arm and hand, he saw his fingers being distorted and along the arm was now a large mantislike claw attached to it. The young man shook and screamed out, swinging his arm before him as if trying to shake it all off, his mantis-like claw slamming right into the bedroom dresser, the lamp on it, and through the concrete wall and sent a shockwave through the path.

Thankfully there was none living in the direction of that wall, it lead outdoors and he could see the outside how parts of the city was in total chaos. The man then looked to his left, and there was an even larger mantislike claw, which looked more like it was made for punching than grabbing. He clenched his teeth together, this wasn't a dream... how could it be? Kangxian moved over towards the large mirror in his apartment, on barefeet which were now also blue in colour. He could also see small plates on his chest and body, as if he had become some form of crayfish.

Then he saw himself, through his new eyes, the irises were gone, all that existed in his eyes were a grey area with a black pupil. His eyes wandered to his body and arms, to the monster which now appeared in the mirror before him, he reached to his face with his humanoid looking arm feeling it. It felt rougher than before, his entire body felt rougher. But he felt strong. Very strong. The hole in the concrete wall was proof enough that he wasn't wrong.

He pulled his both arms back before slamming them forwards, it sent the wall crumbling down and the shockwave sent all manner of debris flying all over the close vicinity, some of the concrete landing on a nearby car, causing it's alarm to go off. The young man came to realize then that this curse wasn't a curse at all... but a gift. A power. And powers were meant to be used.

Attempts to describe her traditionally are generally met with failure, as she is eccentric to the point of being nearly non-understandable. She is incredibly intelligent and well educated; in a sense she is exactly what one would expect from the child of two highly intelligent parents, in that she is not only a prodigy in many regards, but has few social skills and many odd quirks.

Use and subconscious generation of Alter-cold. Alter-cold is a state orthogonal to cold that propagates outward and removes energy from the system while being consumed in equal amount in the process. It is instantaneous, removing an equivalent degree of heat energy as that of Alter-cold "energy." This theoretically would result in certain functions in a closed system, but also means that in reality, the ability is limited by absolute zero. Alter-cold can condense into a cloud-like substance. If a sufficiently low temperature, exposure may result in hypothermia and frostbite. Violet is also immune to cold temperatures and to Alter-cold, neither can she get frostbite.

Born to a father who works for a large electronics company and a college-professor mother, Violet has never wanted for anything. Being home-schooled by her high-expectation mother, she spent her days sleeping and finding entertainment in cartoons and anime while her nights were spent cramming an entire public school education in semester sized chunks at a time. Having a nearly perfect memory made the process quick and relatively painless, leading her to develop a detached personality, as if life were just something to do for the sake of doing. Her father got her interested in anime at a young age, and it became a major hobby of hers.
At age 12, her mother made her a deal that she couldn't help but accept; if she could finish the rest of the schooling that her mother wanted from her in one year, her mother would use her position as a college professor to request an early taking of a GED test, allowing Violet to spend the entirety of her teenage years doing whatever she wanted. And so she consumed everything that she came across, getting not only the equivalent of a high school education, but quite a bit of a college education as well. The day after her thirteenth birthday, she completed the testing for a GED with a perfect score in four of the five categories. (It was mathematics that wasn't up to snuff.)

How they were affected by Equinox:
She had just gotten fired from her newest job. She passed out and when she awoke, the entire house was frozen over. Luckily, she lived alone at the time. She's since mostly kept to herself.

Misty is a fair-skinned 5'7" girl with a penchant for standing out from the crowd. She's no stranger to injury, proudly possessing a wide array of nicks and dings across her body. Misty enjoys changing her hair style daily and has supported everything from ponytails to bedheads.

Personality
Misty has a carefree approach to life and the people around her. Even before Equinox, people had accused her of "living in her own little world," and since the incident such a description has rung more true than ever. Misty is easily approachable but has an off-kilter air about her, as if she were discussing a completely different topic. Misty does not grow attached to people or items in her life and can as easily let go of a childhood friend as she can a discarded candy wrapper.

Misty is the only child of a psychologist and an IT manager. She was regularly cared for by her uncle Jim, a demolition contractor, and the two grew closer as the years went on. As a teenager, she slowly developed severe depression and anxiety that peaked five years ago upon the death of Jim, who passed away as a result of a workplace accident. In the past five years, she has steadily recovered and since Equinox has hid her issues behind her ability. Misty dropped out of college twice, once for psychology and the second for medicine, before settling on taking classes at a local community college until she obtains a two-year degree.

Equinox Impact
It is said that for some people, Equinox was considered rapture. Misty is one of those people. In fact, she considers that day to be the best in her life. Misty always felt like she had no power to control the world around her and was instead carried away by the unstoppable waves of life; when Equinox hit, she found that she could now make the world her own, that she was finally free. Since that day, flowers have blossomed next to her as she walks, only to evaporate when they leave her personal bubble.

Appearance: Standing just above five foot ten and with an average but broad-shouldered build, Nicholas radiates an unassuming yet standoffish aspect. More often than not, he is seen wearing dark clothes of humble make. With round, unwavering eyes of a dark hazel shade, Nick's expression remains stoic and unreadable, only cracking for a contemptuous scowl or sardonic sneer. His black hair has now grown to touch his shoulders, and is most often kept unkempt or up in a ponytail. Nicholas stays clean-shaven for the most part, and can never commit to a beard; the most he's seen with are scraps hugging his chin and jowls. Nicholas bears many scars across his body from his childhood.

Personality: Nick's upbringing molded him into a choleric and standoffish individual; of that he is loathe to admit. He is a solitary person living alone without any close relationships. Despite this, he has managed to cultivate self-confidence during his transition into adulthood. While never manifesting in pride, he shows a silent competency in his day-to-day activities and is possessed of a single-minded focus when it comes to work. Although he appears cynical, Nicholas will help those in need the best he can without thanks. He is a smoker and drinker of black coffee.

History: Nicholas Gonahue was born 5 minutes after his sister Nadine on September 21st, 2017. The only parent they knew was their mother, who turned out to be abusive and manipulative. From a very young age the twins formed an inseparable bond with one another in response to their mother’s neglect, with Nadine taking on the elder sibling role due to her protective personality and precocious development.

Growing up in Carencro, Louisiana on a small ranch meant that they shared long walks to school and little in the way of friends. Not that they needed them, anyway. So long as they had each other, they were going to make it. Their family was poor and got most of their funds from their grandfather, who visited his grandkids often.

The twins were a repeated problem for authority at schools. Fights between fellow students were common, and the Gonahue twins often skipped class to sneak to the roof of the school and share cigarettes they stole from their teachers. Nick assumed it was a nice life to have, because he had his sister and he didn’t know how to live any other way. Even today, he beats himself up for not seeing it sooner. A persistent, sad look in her eyes the week before. The strap of a backpack sticking out from under her bed he saw three days prior.

When Nicholas was 14, his sister vanished. No note. No direction. No secret treasure map to their family’s secret fortune he was to seek out. Nadine had left. Left him. And Nicholas knew, somehow, that it was all his fault.

Life without Nadine was different. Their mother only had one outlet for her drunken rages now, and Nicholas was the more submitting of the two. Nicholas caved inwards. He threw himself into reading and writing as an escape. He decided to live his life as if it were better through these heroes that lived on pages. He swore himself to an oath to find his sister, whatever the cost, so they could be together again. They had to be. Right?

At first, Nick thought he was going crazy. “Imaginary friends” were supposed to taper off at age 5, and he never had any need for them. But that was with Nadine. It was a small boy like Nick, but without a face a very pale skin. It needed a name. He needed a name. He was always smiling. He had great, sharp teeth.

Gorejaw.

He liked that name. He told Nick he would always be there for him. That he would protect him, just like Nadine. When his mother would come home those nights after in a stupor, Nick would sneak out of the house into the fields. Then, Gorejaw would lead him to the abandoned barn towards the west of his home. “Here,” Gorejaw said. “Here we can talk and play and dance. We can forget the world around us and come alive in the dark. I will protect you now, Nicholas. I know we are going to be very best friends.”

On his 18th birthday, Nicholas saw his mother for the last time. He put the rest of his life in a backpack on the backseat of the old pickup he and his grandfather brought back from the dead. He was going to Texas. He was going to find his sister.

The trail led him to Vorpool. He was getting closer. His sister had to be here. Why Vorpool? Did she want a fresh start? Why didn’t she bring him? Did she run away with a boy? Nicholas found himself only growing nervous at the thought of finally finding his sister, and he didn’t know why. But he was close. Of that he was certain.

When Nicholas fell asleep for the first time in Vorpool on March 20th, 2038, he had a nightmare that nearly killed him.

And the rest is history.

Appearance Description
Angel stands at five foot six with an average build that is not to athletic but she keeps herself from losing her basic athleticism. Her main features that would catch your eye if you looked at her would be her wavy reddish-orange hair that was bright and went down to the small of her back and also her vibrant blue eyes that always seem to caatch whatever light was in a room to make them bright.

Personality
Angel Wilkinsons had always been a sort of introvert for most of her life, but before the Equinox she had been on the border between an introvert and extrovert. She enjoyed being inside and being by herself just as much as being out and about with her friends and meeting people. Once the Equinox happened, she became a shut in for the first seven months after the event because she didn't know how to cope with what had happened. The information overload of her powers made it hard for her to balance interacting with people while handling the data that she was seeing causing her to completely shut down to the outside world.

Three years after the Equinox, Angel's introverted tendencies are still very prominent as she is still shy around people that she doesn't know and will not opening approach or make conversation with people she isn't familiar with. She does open up after a good amount of time getting to know that person though this does take some effort from both parties to work. Angel would like to get back to where she had been before the Equinox happened, but she is having a hard time getting over her social problems when it is to easy to find everything thing about a person she meets in a matter of seconds with her powers.

The Subject displays an ability to read and interact with electromagnetic magnetic frequencies. This enables her to alter these signals at will and connect with the internet without an external device. It would seems that the Subject is able to change information on the internet and automatically decrypt data though the extent is unknown at this time. Recommendation for farther Governmental observation and possible escalation of ADB classification dependent on farther understanding of powers. Possible National Security Threat if left unchecked.

EDIT: Ms. Wilkinsons does not appear to be a Threat of any kind and does not seem to have a full understanding of her powers. Will request that previous entries into files should be able to be altered without edits being added.

Angel Wilkinsons' childhood and early teen years where fairly average for a child growing up on the west coast of the United States. She grew up with a younger brother who she sort of got along with and was put into soccer from a young age by her parents until she was able to get out of it during high school. She always had an interest with new technology as a hobby and was always trying to take apart computers and other things to see how they work without even bothering to try and put them back together afterward. She wasn't a person that stood out in school, she got average grades and had a small group of friends who all went their own ways after high school while she went out of state for college.

Angel landed in Vorpool after college with a degree in Computer Science helping her get a job in a tech start up. She was just finally settling into her new life with her new job and building a new group of friends when she fell asleep one night and woke up the next day to find the world had changed forever.

How they were affected by Equinox
The Equinox was an earthshattering event for any around the world and it was no different for Angel. For months after the event, she had trouble coping with the change as her ability had altered her into some sort of super computer. She lost her job as she stayed locked up in her apartment trying to shut out the amount of information that she was now able to see and access without limits. After the government showed up and tried to figure out what her powers were, she realized it was not a bad dream and started to try and understand her powers.

A year after the Equinox, Angel was still a shut in but doing a little better dealing with the information. She had found that she was able to access almost anything through her new powers such as banks and the like Soon her college debt was paid off and she wasn't worrying about rent anymore.

Personality and History

Thomas is a museum curator at the Poden Museum of Art and Technology, located in the southeast corner of Vorpool's Art District. He is one of three people responsible for seeking out and obtaining new exhibits for the museum and is often seen throughout Vorpool speaking with leads to track down rare works of art.

Thomas is an aloof, quiet individual who prefers to observe than be in the middle of an event or conflict. He does, however, like to be aware of the ins and outs of Vorpool and can often be found somewhere near the heart of issues. Some have accused him of being an undercover reporter, a claim he vehemently denies. Thomas has been highly successful at expanding Poden's collection since he began his job in April of 2038.

Cellica stands at height of 5’4, with a slim and well-kept body figure. She often carries herself in a casual way, and often has a shy but inquisitive look on her face.

Personality
It can be assumed by her well-kept nature that Cellica is a well mannered and pleasant person to deal with - and those that assume that would be correct. Cellica is a logical and organised individual, and is often adored by her friends for her being there for them, even as a shoulder to lean on (though Cellica herself may fumble upon what to actually say to comfort the distressed individual). She can have a few days where she is on the huffy or even slightly argumentative side, particularly if she is feeling a little competitive, but these often pass quickly.

Cellica has the ability to control her targets, though not in the traditional way of taking control of their mind directly, but through influencing them through the drawing of their various emotions and thoughts. Whilst unable to generate thoughts directly in her target, the pull of particular emotion can force the target into an action: The removal of their confidence can force someone to retreat, while the enforcement of it can influence them to push forward. A small adjustment of anxiety can make a security guard a bit more alert, while a large adjustment can prompt an investigation. She can reduce someone to a withering, crying mess on the ground by increasing their fear response, or try to influence a manager to lay off an employee by increasing the manager’s disappointment while he reviews a piece of work by that employee. Not to mention she can cause a group or even a crowd to have a ruckus by adjusting them all at once, so long as they’re all in a reasonable distance.

It would be all too easy, if they didn’t know it was happening to them. Or rather, that something was happening to them. If Cellica is within direct line of sight of the person that she is Adjusting, they will specifically know that it is her that is adjusting them. If she is indirectly in their sight, they’ll know that they’re being adjusted by someone in their line of sight. If she is out of their line of sight, such as behind them, they’ll either know they’re being adjusted (if she is too close to them, about two meters away) or not know (if she is far enough, more than two meters). Not knowing they’re being adjusted doesn’t mean they can’t suspect something is happening to them. History
Cellica was the youngest of two daughters, born six years after her elder sister, Chloe. Growing up, she was very indecisive as to what she wanted to do as a career, and so progressed through various subjects at school without a clear end goal. She knew that she didn’t have much interest in scientific work, mostly because she believed it outside of her understanding outside of theoretics, and so placed her education more into aspects she found more practical and easier to learn and understand. Because she was managing to progress mainly in business and administrative work, she decided that if she was going to go for anything, she could work in an office to at least build up some experience that would help her going into future positions.

Once she left school, she managed to score working for a large private security company as a general administrator, which paid her well, and gave her enough free time.

How they were affected by Equinox
Despite being the good-minded person that Cellica is, the sudden ability of adjusting people gave her a power that may have corrupted her a little, though not in a particularly evil way. Cellica was a great employee, having been praised by her supervisors even before Equinox, but some might wonder how she managed to climb the company hierarchy so fast, if they really wanted to look into it. She was just an administrator when she entered the company, but in a few years after Equinox she was now in an executive position, alongside the company directors. She is still competent in her work and a good person to talk to, but she knows a little touch here and there can make her life a little easier.
