Quinn

@akirashadow

''Well hopefully, now that you're away from home and have fewer obligations, you find a balance between responsibility and your hobbies''said Quinn cheerfully while stirring the remains of her coffee. Although she noticed the shift in the tone of the conversation, she decided not to enquire. It wasn't uncommon for parents to put high expectations on their children, especially if they were to inherit something- such was the way of life.

The girl thought for a moment about Tyler's description of the academy. Sure, everyone was less monitored, but the rules were strict and the workload was apparently very difficult and large in number, leaving little time for the students to enjoy themselves. Still, she could sort-of see what he meant. No one but them was in charge of their actions and any consequences those actions resulted in, whether good or bad, were their fault. Even though she was only expected to be a backup for her brother, her schooling barely varied from his and just like him, she had to uphold the positive reputation of the business. After being raised in strict conditions, such a place certainly seemed refreshing and utopian. Since the academy swore absolute privacy and protection from any outside media, there was no need to act 'perfectly' while within its walls. Chuckling softly, she responded'' I suppose you're right. It's nice to relax in a place like this.''

Contrary to her first impression of Tyler, Quinn found herself enjoying his company. After a moment of comfortable silence, she asked: '' What have you chosen for Monday's lessons? I have drama and politics.''

To know they were at least partially like-minded on the subject was rather a relief for Tyler. He was glad that Quinn agreed with taking the time to relax. He had thought it the rather lucky chance encounter, there was likely a large number of students here who have a 'strictly business' mindset. Those that were here purely to succeed and not care for the unique journey that would accompany it.

Despite being a topic he had brought up, balancing workload and free time was not something Tyler excelled at. Not that it was a regular occurrence in his life, most of his free time was spent in offices. On the odd occasion he'd be able to get some time logged on the shop floor, which in his opinion was much more interesting. As his mind wandered he'd failed to notice they were sitting in silence the whole time. Though he was snapped back to reality as a pang of pain throbbed at the right side of his temple.

"Hm?" Tyler grunted out as he rubbed softly at his forehead. "In that case, I guess I'll see you in politics. Aside from that I'm also doing French. But that's pretty much my week, my parents wanted me to branch out to as many language subjects as possible." He tried to ignore the pain lowering his hand down to the table. "But Drama and politics, that's an interesting combination. Part of fulfilling both dreams and responsibilities?" Tyler probed as he circled the conversation back to the earlier topic. He takes in another mouthful of coffee as he glances into the mug frowning at the level that remained.

Quinn

@akirashadow

Quinn visibly perked up at the prospect of sharing a class with Tyler. She was worried that she would have to spend the classes alone for the first few weeks but at least now she knew that there was going to be a friendly face in at least one of them. Being raised to make connections for her father's company, she got used to spending time with people and dreaded being by herself for a prolonged period of time. Since the arts were a rare interest between the business-oriented students, the blonde felt somewhat glad her father chose some of her classes. Although, she would never admit it- she thought his ego was big enough as it was.

'' That's right- you're certainly a bright cookie,'' responded Quinn to Tyler's observation '' I wanted to become an actress since-since- I can't even remember when. For the first year, my father let me choose a majority of my subjects, but he's going to adjust it next year once I'm settled in''. Not that she actually minded learning about politics- on her social media she would sometimes end up debating political topics (no matter how much Quinn avoided that, it always ended up happening) and having some background knowledge would be helpful. The mention of learning languages filled her with dread, but she tried not to show it. They were not her strong point and despite her mother's attempts to teach her, she only spoke English and some short phrases of different Slavic languages. Knowing her father, she would have at least one year with a foreign language class while at Pine Hills.

Noting Tyler's discomfort, she stopped stirring her coffee and looked at him in concern: '' Hey are you alright? I could get you some water if you want?''

The smile on his face grew when Eric joked about sending the authorities to Alex if he wouldn't give back the bottle. It was nice to know that someone as motivated to learn as him could also joke around. His next comment shocked him, although he was right about what he said. Alex simply replied with a "Yeah, I agree!".

He nodded as a way to say that he understood when Eric said he needed to go. "Yeah sure. You're always welcome in Currie too. See you later for sure!"

"Casey," she stated in response to his inquiry about her own name. "Angelica Casey, but you may refer to me as Angie, as I have no qualms about 'more casual communication' between us, as you have put it. It's a pleasure."

She listened intently as 'Erik' continued speaking about his appreciation for art while admitting that he did not have a natural aptitude for it. It seemed to her that he was going out of his way to relate to her interest. She could not remember the last time this had happened, as even the few whom she had encountered who were open to a discussion about art usually did not bother going into such detail with their opinions. This made her wonder if he had any hidden intentions for doing this, but she figured that there was no point in pondering over it, at least for the time being. People had different ways of just making friends, after all.

"Indeed, such methods are fantastic ways of expressing aspects of one's individuality. You have a keen interest in obtaining knowledge in this area in spite of your talents lying elsewhere. It's always favorable to be open to a variety of fields, I suppose."

She then gave him another eyebrow raise when he implied that his academics had gotten him into the academy. "Ah, so you're here on scholarship. I've heard how that can be, and I'd say that I'm sorry that you had to go through all that pressure, but you seem to enjoy learning, so all that studying probably wasn't that much of a strain on you. I could be wrong, though. I'm glad that you feel such a way about my art, it feels good to know what it has done for you."

She nodded when he told her that he had to leave. "Understandable, I shall see you around too, Erik Fieldson."

Angelica watched the brunet leave the cafe, a slight smile finally forming on her face at the pleasant conversation they had just had. It was then quickly hidden by her latte cup as she lifted it to her lips. She finished her drink and stood from her seat to pack her things before leaving the place as well. Feeling a little more uplifted, she was ready to resume her exploration of the campus.

"I-I'm fine." Tyler stated in a unconvincing pained tone as he pushed his sunglasses solidly against his face. "It will pass given time. Hopefully sooner rather than later, I'd rather at least attempt to enjoy the day." As he spoke Tyler rubbed at the underside of his right eye with the back of his left hand. "It uncomfortable sure, but it has been much worse. Unfortunately the only thing to do is let it run its course." There was a near awkward pause before Tyler seemingly remembered something. "Though thank you for the offer."

In an attempt to take his mind off of the pain he tried to latch back onto the conversation. "Actress huh? That's quiet the ambition. Have you done any acting work before?" If Quinn had then Tyler was unfamiliar with any of her work, as far as he could recall anyway. "Well, I hope you're able to make the most of this year if what you say is true. I guess I'm fortunate in that I already know what my parents expect me to be studying." Tyler took his phone from his pocket. "Maybe... nevermind it would be rude to presume." He began to tap away on his phone. "Quinn... McNamara... anything interesting out there, Quinn?" He looks up from the phone, the severity of pain in his head seemed to be minor or at least subsiding.

Erik Fieldson

Interacting with: @Squirrel98

Erik gave Alex a wave and hurried back off to his dorm room. He kept an eye on the clock as he went seeing that he only had two minutes before it was time. He ran into his dorm room, closed and locked a door, and then took out his phone. The number for the hour shift on his cellphone before the indicator for an incoming call came in overtaking the home screen of her phone. Without bothering to read the identifier attached the call, Erik accepted the call and raised the phone up to his ear.

"You have a collect call from a prisoner located at..." Erik took a deep breath as the usual monotone voice played and then pressed the button to allow him through.

"Hello? Erik? How are you, my special boy?"

"Hi Mom, I am doing well. I am making connections as we discussed, I have already established friendship with one major celebrity."

"Of course you did! That is because you are so incredible Eric! You would never disappoint me..."

Erik winced and touched the scar on his arm unconsciously and continued the conversation. It proceeded as usual with him outlining his grand plans and her excited as to his prospects. Neither acknowledged the elephant in the room as ever and then it was over. When his mother finally hung up the phone, Erik sighed deeply, taking a moment just to sit and stare off at the far wall. He came back to himself as he looked in the mirror and saw a few of his hairs out of place. He grabbed his comb and fixed the issue and then took a second to admire himself in the mirror.

He looked around his belongings and undecorated room with a frown. It would not do to have his other roommates find him unprepared. He took the next hour to set up his room, delicate with his more fashionable pieces of clothing. The pieces had cost almost all of his spending money, but he considered it an important investment. He did have to fit in after all. His texts were the second most important things all the texts already worn and filled near bursting with post-it notes with his own notes. When he was complete, the room had his excellent sense of style and his work space was ready. He pulled out an older model tablet his father had owned and went through his notes on the incoming celebrity students. He made several notes on the tab for Alex Pearson focusing on his duality of wanting to be left alone and also to entertain. He cycled through briefly, but confirmed he did not have any relevant information on "Angie." Not unexpected as he could not keep tabs on all new students. As he looked though, a familiar face caught his eye.

"Quinn Nakamura..." He muttered to himself. That was the girl who had seemed familiar to him this morning. Erik frowned annoyed he had not seized the opportunity to make contact, but was at least pleased he had greeted her. Besides, "Angie" seemed to be one of the most interesting students he had spoken to today, despite her seeming indifference. Erik moved on to his journal and recorded the day's events as he thought about how he would finish the day.

Quinn

@akirashadow

Quinn raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced that Tyler would be fine. Nonetheless, it would be rude to pry and she feared that if she questioned him further it (whatever 'it' was) would get worse. Smiling softly at him, she said ''If you say so- but if it gets worse let me know and I'll help you get to the nearest dorm''. Although he claimed that he didn't need anything, Quinn wanted him to know she would be happy to help out- it was the right thing to do.

Once the conversation returned to acting, she finished off her coffee before responding: '' I actually had a couple of roles on broadway-nothing too big of course, no one really wants to bother with the child-labour laws and such. Currently, I'm just trying to build up my reputation in the community- mostly by uploading my covers of songs on the internet''. She didn't seem surprised that he didn't recognise her- she was mostly known due to her connection to her parents, not her passions. Still, she was glad that he seemed somewhat interested in what she wanted to do. ''I hope you'll make the most of your here as well, despite the lessons that were chosen for you. You could always join a club''. Glancing around the cafe, she became aware that it was quite a while since she arrived. Seeing that Tyler had his phone out, she asked:'' Hey, what time is it? Most of the other students left.''

Hearing Quinn speak of her work was nice. "Well big or not it takes talent to land the part no? Working on steps towards a dream can make the dream more achievable after all." In truth though he hadn't given the idea of joining a club much thought. Though he'd managed to sneak some additional belongings into his luggage that his parents probably would of preferred he'd left behind he had done more so to maintain the hobby than seek those with similar interest. "Perhaps I will join a club if I can find one of interest. But I will probably wait until I've settled here a bit."

"Hm? The time?" Tyler momentarily stops browsing through his phone. "It's... well, it's 6:30pm. I guess time really can fly sometimes after all." He glances around confirming what Quinn had said about most of the other students having left. "Yes, well it seems that..." As he speaks the phone begins to vibrate away in his hand. Caller ID displaying as 'R&D' Tyler sighs as he looks up momentarily. "I should get this." He stands up from his feet folding a five under his cup. "It was a pleasure speaking with you Quinn. I look forward to our classes together." He passes Quinn one last smile as he answers the call.

"Tyler Cross... well I was otherwise occupied until now. But now we can talk." Tyler rolls his eyes as he walks away from the Cafe continuing his conversation. With it being somewhat close to curfew he decides it would be best for him to head back towards his dorm. Were he to start wandering around campus again he'd likely wind up losing track of time.

By the time he reached the dorms his conversation was still ongoing. "Look just send it through to me and I'll take a look at it, almost back at my room." He pauses for a moment. "Look my voice is carrying here we should wrap this up. Oh and one more thing, stop calling. Mr Cross said that I'm to be considered unreachable whilst I'm enrolled here, so no more trying to side step management." Tyler cut the call off whilst the caller was mid-response as he unlocks his room door and enters. He collapsed down onto his bed as he takes his sunglasses off and drops them to the side. Now all he needed was for the insistent throbbing on the right side of his head to call it a day.

Quinn

@akirashadow

''The pleasure was all mine. Enjoy your evening- see you tomorrow'' said Quinn smiling and waving at Tyler's retreating form. Taking out her wallet from her skirt's pocket, she pulled a 4 dollar tip and placed it next to her plate. Having eaten something already, she didn't feel hungry enough to get dinner at the school's cafeteria plus she wanted to catch up with her family as soon as possible. She didn't call them all day and they were probably getting worried. Shaking off some of the crumbs that had fallen onto her skirt earlier, she headed back to Currie.

The building was fairly full when she entered and she decided to introduce herself to a couple of her dormmates before unlocking her room. One or two mentioned that they followed her on social media but the majority seemed to only recognise her after realising who her father was. Picking up her phone, she saw two missed calls- one was a group call from her friends and the other a videocall from her mom. She swiftly swiped away the notification about the group call and called back her mother, who clearly was now too busy to pick-up. The girl tried calling two more times but it went straight to voicemail. Sighing, she turned her screen off and put her phone into her pocket. They could always talk later.

Looking over the books she unpacked, Quinn grabbed the textbook for drama and headed back into the dorm's living area. It wouldn't hurt to look over the material for tomorrow's lesson. She planned to skim through the book (most of it was theory and history anyway- nothing that she found that important to acting) and go to sleep sometime around eight.

Quinn

Quinn awoke early to a buzzing phone. Groggily she answered, seeing it was her mother calling her back. Something came up in her agency and she was busy for the majority of the night. Assuring her that she didn't mind, Quinn caught her up on how she was getting on, without omitting her disappointment with the size of her room. Her mother simply chuckled and told her it could've been worse. The conversation ended after ten minutes, with her mother telling her to focus on her classes, and instead of going back to bed, Quinn decided to get ready for the day. Once she was done in the bathroom (thankfully it was empty at the time), the girl scoured her closet for something professional, eventually settling on black trousers paired with a button-up shirt and a blue sweater vest.

Grabbing her already packed-up bag, she headed out to the cafeteria to grab breakfast. It was quite early so there were only a couple of students awake, none of which seemed awake enough to engage in a conversation. She stayed in the cafeteria until homeroom began.

Quinn felt terrible after the first day. Completely unprepared for a test, she was sure that she failed most of the questions. On top of that, the drama class mostly consisted of theory and she almost fell asleep. If it continued, she would consider dropping the class-although she would never do so. It would just give her father the satisfaction of proving his outlook on art-based classes correct. At least the English class was somewhat interesting- but she hated the teacher already. Who in their right mind would set a biography for the first day?

When she moved between classes, Quinn noticed the vendors selling various things in the courtyard. Now that the classes have ended, she decided to check them out. She walked in between the stands while fiddling with her purse, looking for something to buy. Most of it seemed to be warm food although a few were selling stationery and small accessories with the school's logo. She bought a couple of keychains for her friends back home and stashed them away in her bag. Some of the teachers were still in the area and so Quinn sometimes stopped to chat with them.

Alex Pearson

The moment he woke up, Alex jumped out of bed - he was used to waking up early because of his career in the entertainment industry - and put on some of his best clothes. It was his first day, so he wanted to look good. He chose a black shirt, white jacket and dark blue pants, which he combined with his black shoes. After he was done putting on his shoes, he went to the cafetaria to eat breakfast. However, since he usually didn't eat breakfast, he had a hard time digesting the food. After eating, he took a slow walk around the campus before arriving at his class ten minutes beforehand.

After all the classes had ended, he went towards the main courtyard where he sat on the grass with his back leaning against a tree. While sitting in the shadow of the tree with his eyes closed, he thinks back to the classes he did that day.

Firstly, there was math. He probably should have prepared a bit as the test wasn't as easy as he hoped for. Luckily, he was intelligent enough to manage. And luckily, he at least didn't have to do homework for that subject.

Secondly, there was English. Normally, he wasn't very interested in the courses school had to offer, but as he was a creative person, anything that had to with literature seemed interesting to him. Of course, he wasn't too interested in doing the homework, but at least he didn't fall asleep during class. That's why he decided that he could sit with Erik. With math or science, chances were high that he would fall asleep during those two classes and that wouldn't be a great sight for someone as eager to learn as Erik. With English and Drama, he could stay awake and even be very interested in what the teacher had to say, so sitting with Erik would be quite nice. It was good to have someone to talk to, who wanted to talk to him and not only the idol Alex Pearson. He also took the chance to give the guy back his bottle. "Thanks dude, it really helped a lot. I made sure to wash it out last night." He whispered right before English started.

Thirdly, there was science, during which he did fall asleep and that's why he doesn't remember much from what happened out there.

Then, there was drama, which is one of the moments where he could shine. Everything the teacher was trying to teach them came very easily to him as he was active in the entertainment industry, so he already did the homework right after the teacher announced it, which only took him about a couple of minutes.

Lastly, there was religion. Although many people wouldn't believe it when they saw him, Alex was a very religious person. He truly believed that there was some kind of god in this world that took care of everyone and everything that was alive on the planet. As he often daydreams, he also thinks about religion almost daily. Even though he thought that talking about death was an odd way to start the course, he found it a very fascinating topic. While sitting against that tree, he summarised some of the beliefs that he could think off in his head and decided that in his opinion, reincarnation was the most likely belief to be true. After making that decision, he fell asleep.

Tyler Cross

Tyler awoke to his alarm on his phone ringing away. Somewhat a rarity in recent memory he turned the alarm off with a smile as he sat up. Such a simple act had become almost novel in recent memory. Though Tyler did wonder if this was the a good sign for the next few months or if he'd just lucked himself into an off day. He spent little time contemplating as he prepared for the day ahead, though the light bruising around his right eye was not likely to set a good or correct first impression.

Using concealment makeup was not something Tyler had been a stranger to, it had been necessary any time he was brought into meetings during his flare ups. As for his daily school attire, Tyler had resigned himself to wearing one of his suits, a black business suit and tie. The corporate look was not a particularly good one for him, but his mind was set on first impressions made.

As soon as the final lesson had finished for the day Tyler pulled loose the tie he'd been wearing. The first day was done and now it was downtime. He had a couple of pieces homework that he would need to get finished prior to new next week rolling around, but none of it seemed that it would be particularly difficult. Though being eased in gradually was likely to be expected. He hadn't been prepared for the test in Math, but it was a subject he was naturally strong in and he felt confident that this would be reflected in his test results.

He looked around from his desk, but as yesterday he was only surrounded by unfamiliar faces. He got up and left the classroom, checking through the missed calls record on his phone. Tyler headed for the cafeteria, the lack of pain being experienced today had lead to a elevated appetite. An early after school meal was exactly what he needed, he wanted to try and establish a kind of schedule for himself to allow him to better manage his day. He decided to take a seat away from other students in the cafeteria, an easy task given the time of day, he wanted to try and avoid more observant students that might question why he had makeup around his right eye, that is if they didn't draw on their own conclusions.

Leo woke up early he went for a morning jog and got back to the dorms and showered. After he showered he got ready for school and sighed, he hated uniforms but he had to wear them. Leo then got on his phone and scroll through some social media. He then left the dorm and went to class. After all his classes he went to the food court and got food he sat down once he paid for it and watched as the other students come in.

Angelica Casey

Angelica had spent the next few hours the day before familiarizing herself with the layout of the academy's classrooms and lecture halls, at the same time hanging around the art room for awhile to have a look at the mini gallery of past students' work. She had then returned to her room early to prepare and rest for the first day of classes. She had little problem getting up in the morning, possibly energized by the change in environment. She was hardly used to the business formal dress code, but figured it could be a challenge for her to come up with different ways to express her individuality. The rules did not state that their bags had to look just as boring as their clothing, and as she did her hair, she decided to wear it as she usually did, because instead of her hairstyle clashing with her attire, she found that her messy waves worked well with the outfit to give her a fresher and more youthful image.

Having a test at the very start of the day dampened her mood slightly, but she found the rest of the classes to be rather interesting, even science. She would hear her family talk about science all the time back home, but here, where there was no pressure to do something related to it for a living, she was contented with making the effort to study it. Besides, that science homework would allow her to get a little creative with the diagrams they had to include. She was glad that the drama class eased the students in with some theory, though she wondered how she would do when the more practical lessons started. She could not act for nuts, or at least she believed she could not since her forte was visual arts and not performing arts.

As Erik had said he hoped, they did see each other during classes. In fact, she noted that all their classes were the same on Monday. It was only natural to gravitate to familiar faces, and so she ended up spending all her lesson time for the day next to him. She thought herself fortunate to have been acquainted with him the day before, for although she did not speak much, it was still nice to not have to go through the first day alone. In addition, he was clearly a diligent student, making him less of a distraction and more of a motivation to be around. Erik had also seemed to have made friends with Alex Pearson, who joined them for several of the classes. She was not quite sure how he was used to being treated or wanted to be treated, but he seemed friendly, and she would like to think that she was at least pleasant with the teen idol.

She headed back to her room after classes were over for the day, wanting to rest for awhile before starting on that English and science homework, since those were daily classes. She had a pretty good view of the sports field through her window, and she figured she could watch whatever was going on down there whenever she would decide to take a break from her work.

Erik Fieldson

Interacting with: @Squirrel98@Raptra@akirashadow

Erik spent the remainder to the night reviewing his notes for the following school day. Given that he had already gone through the textbooks and annotated them as needed with post it notes, Erik did not feel like this was truly necessary, but was a big believer in being ready for any issues. He added a few quick notes underneath one particular complex piece of chemistry they would study sometime next semester and then it was time for bed. As he landed on the bed, he found himself asleep almost immediately as he was enveloped in the most comfortable mattress he had ever felt.

The next day, Erik's alarm went off around 5 in the morning. Quickly tossing on a long sleeved sweatsuit, he went out for his morning jog, enjoying the sight of his new campus. After receiving an appropriate amount of exercise, he began his morning maintenance routine. He took a long time moving from the shower, applying his face scrub, using a moistener for his face skin, putting on eye cream, and many more small details that ensured that each and everyday, Erik looked his best. The final step of his routine was the spot check. Erik leaned forward, staring deeply into the contents of his mirror making sure his hair, face, body, and clothes were all perfect. He grinned at his reflection in satisfaction and gave himself a lavish wink.

The classes began that Monday, some trying to gauge his knowledge, others just setting up the minor details they would need to have memorized to continue. None of it was particularly challenging given his prep work, he was certain he had scored perfectly on the math pre-text for instance. The most exciting development though was Alex Pearson accepting his invitation to sit with him during their shared classes. Although he did not show it on his face, he was thrilled. One of his concerns is that the high class students at the academy would see him as a toy they could play with given their difference in socio-economic levels. However, by quickly establishing friendship with such a high profile celebrity, Erik believed that he would quickly find acceptance into their circles. No one was likely to embarrass themselves in front of a celebrity with such a large following he could use to attack them after all.

To his minor surprise, Angie also accepted his invitation to sit with him and he made sure to quickly introduce the pair, keeping things light. Angie was one of the more complicated individuals he had seen at the academy, and he was not certain how well his introduction yesterday had worked out. The girl seemed to keep things close to the chest, giving only very small facial cues and using an advanced vocabulary in her speech. Erik was not uncertain of her background or how she could prove to be useful to him quite yet, but at the moment was simply content to have a familiar person nearby. As it turned out, they shared the same class schedule on Monday.

When Alex returned his water bottle, Erik made a small show of thoroughly, but jokingly inspecting it for dirt. "I suppose this meets my standards." He grinned at Alex and followed up with "Seriously thanks for returning it so quickly. Let me know if you ever want to meet up and go over some of these classes!"

When Angie moved to sit beside them, Erik glanced at her attire before leaning over and whispering, "Nice to see you again Angie. Cool hair." Then class began and Erik shifted into work mood. Erik's hand flew across his exam as he solved problem after problem with no hesitation. In other classes, Erik used shorthand to quickly make note of exactly what the teacher said. To anyone else, his paper probably looked by gibberish given he had made it personally for himself, but it gave him plenty of time to reflect on what he had learned. When he was done for the day, he waved goodbye to his new friends and headed out.

Stretching his arms above his head, he glanced around wondering where to go from here. His homework, while important, was a not pressing priority given its simplicity. Instead, he decided to have a bite to eat. He entered the cafeteria and loaded his tray with healthy food that was still miles better in taste compared to what he had had to eat in the past. He looked around the cafeteria, it was not particularly busy yet. As he looked around however, he noted that one of the students from his dorm was off eating by himself. Erik moved forward towards him.

Stopping in front of the boy, Erik gave him a friendly smile and said, "You are Tyler, right? I live in the same dorm building as you. I am Erik. Would it be alright if I sat down?"

Quinn

Wrapping up her conversation with a teacher, Quinn found herself with no idea what to do. She didn't want to start on her homework yet but she didn't want to bother anyone back home by calling them. One of the teachers mentioned there was a dance studio inside of the gym( along with rooms dedicated to tennis, basketball and other sports) but without any need to practice, she lacked any motivation to venture inside. It was unlikely that she would have to perform any time soon and besides, Quinn was no choreographer and wouldn't be able to come up with a challenging routine by herself. As she looked over the area, she noticed the teachers retreating back into the lecture halls, almost simultaneously. She shrugged it off, assuming that they had some sort of a teachers' meeting- nothing too unusual.

Taking her phone out, she took a seat on the grass slightly further away from the food stands. Some of the other students seemed to be relaxing or doing their homework in the area, none of which seemed to pay attention to anything else. Fiddling with her phone, Quinn decided to look through the comments on her latest song cover- some constructive criticism never hurt anybody and it seemed more useful than writing some guy's biography.

Tyler Cross

Interactions: @EurmalEye (Erik)

Tyler had been sitting in silence, occasionally glancing up from his tray to glance around and take note of additional students entering the cafeteria. As he ate he decided he would make a start on one of his easier pieces of homework. Having the table to himself allowed him the space necessary and his science homework didn't require anything more than pen and paper. He reached into his laptop bag which he'd been using that day to carry his books and brought it up to the table.

As he fetched his notebook and pens from his bag, he looked up as he was greeted by another student. He seemed somewhat confused by the notion of requesting permission to sit at the same table, but then he had until this point managed to keep it vacant of any company. He continued to look at Erik for a few seconds before speaking. "You would be correct, Erik... Fieldson? Please feel free to have a seat. It's good to confirm the face to the name." Tyler had been paying attention to the register calls and through process of elimination was fairly certain his guess at surname was correctly made.

Though he had invited Erik to join him he returned to concentrating on his work and food. He practices a couple of different sketches that he would need for his science homework. "So Erik, how have you found the first day?" Tyler was keeping his head down on his work as he talked. "I believe we were both in politics?" Tyler marks up against some of the sketches in his pad before putting his pen down and looking up with a smile. Working whilst having a conversation was acceptable, however continually doing so was not, at least in his opinion.

At first, no one would notice it but the school was filled with various speakers, which were most often used to notify students where to go during emergencies or inform them of when a building would be off-limits for a short period of time. The speakers were loud and thanks to their high quality, the transmissions were always clear and impossible to miss. Often an annoyance during exam periods, they were hated by the majority of the school but no one dared to damage them in fear of being punished. No one really knew from where the messages were recorded, with the most popular theory being the principal's office from whom most of the messages came from. An hour after the lessons ended, a tune familiar to the upperclassmen rang out and soon the voice of the vice-principal boomed out, demanding for the attention of all students:

'' The lecture halls and gym are closed for all students except the last year's student council and prefect committee until the end of the day. I repeat, the lecture halls and gym are closed for all students except the last year's student council and prefect committee until the end of the day''
