The process of generating fractal animations is a long and arduous one.
251 frames out of 1081.
May God have mercy on my CPU.
RIP a real one.
You got thsi chief.

Why are you doing that?
You know, I question my sanity sometimes. Especially when I can RP an entire convo between to characters using two different accounts.
14 hours into the fractal render.

Is there no GPU acceleration?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
No. It's a laptop. And this is a fractal program. It's CPU intensive not GPU intensive.

Seems like you could parallelize fractal generation, since a lot of fractal formulas are independent math problems, aren't they?
@Drake Baku
I'm confused. Is there a reason the monologue is between action symbols?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
That was a misunderstanding from my part on the writing style rules
It stated clearly about cursive talking and actions between *
But i dont remember having seen anything about monologue/ thinking in the 2 times i read the rules
As such when i began writing i thought i had to put it between ** as well to show it is not talking (while having forgotten to use cursive) haha
Sorry i shall fix it, i assume it should be without any indications?
Asking to be sure, i will change it now but if i mess up again i can change it again haha)
<Snipped quote by Drake Baku>
How it works is that there isn't thinking—none of us knows what each character really thinks about the situation. The action symbols indicate that an observable action is taking place, like *Jumps into the air*. Anything that isn't in action symbols is assumed to be spoken aloud, unless modified by them somehow, like *Mumbles*.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
No monologue/ thinking
That will be taking some getting used too haha
Ok i shall edit it again and keep this in mind
You know its a nice surprise finding an rp like this on this forum and not noticing any, to put it nicely, "unfriendly" remarks
I remember few years ago how i planned something similar taking the rp style from the one i started with more then 16 years ago.
Got no interests and only insults
So yeah a different style, a more old school like system like this having started up and active for a long time really is a nice surprise ^^
And having no monologue is as far as i know unique for a forum system so it is very interesting and adds a bit of realistic challenge as well
Nice^^
(Edit: i am on my phone so please excuse any typos i may have missed as that i have no spelling check's either on this thing)
It was a rather bad time for rping i guess
It was way to common that people end up joining an rp, see an interesting one and just vanish without saying a word causing a lot of rps to die
Annoying as that was it was also normal that
The gm posts a bit of plot, they just respond to the given info and add nothing, it was basically reacting in character to the gm's story
So when i came with my attempt to use one of the styles i started with, which had a focus on all parties adding to the story and being active
They started calling me lazy and more (but if you ask me, being unable to add to the story and jusy follow everything on a whim like that is lazy haha)
Its a pretry huge step down from how i started
The gm thinks of a arc inside a bigger world, set the start up, plays a minor role and tries to guide the story into the right direction
While at the same time each and every other player had their own agenda, plot wish and ended up adding way more chaos (sudden monster attack or the way we were supposed to enter as given by the gm, well one player came with the idea that a fuel tank got hit and the entire tunnel was exploding, having to run back and find a new way in)
It was always a challenge to get your own plot back in while working on the main story focus
But it was fun, everyone together made such a great story
Having everyone working together on one big story to be called lazy and bad GM...
