If I had to choose between someone else's perception of me, and their life, I'd throw the relationship away for their sake.

If the risk is high enough. If I made a decision that cost the life of someone else because I decided the risk wasn't worth taking action, I couldn't live with myself.

Most things I can't predict. I have to live with that, even though it will directly hurt me and those around me at times.
