I'm extremely claustrophobic and I find elevators to be nerve-wracking for that reason. I had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was nineteen and even chose to take the stairs while I was still recovering from the anesthesia. I also went to a college that has the tallest academic library in the world and I won't even pretend like I didn't climb fourteen stories because it was less awful than taking the elevator.

That is how much I hate elevators.

I don't know which university/college has the tallest elevator, but the University of Massachusetts at Amherst has a library that is 25 stories tall. I used to run the stairs, up and down for exercise, not because I was claustrophobic.

I was very afraid of heights growing up. These days, I mainly get dizzy after feeling nervous. I don't freak out like I used to but still.

That's the library I'm referring to, actually. It's the tallest academic library in the world (though not the tallest library in the world). I think we've had the discussion before that we're both from Massachusetts even if just in passing.

I have height vertigo (not to be confused with fear of heights).

As a child I had allergies against a large nummber of plants and other substances that made me suffocate without medication. Today I hardly have any allergies left, never did anything against it and just waited.

I have sensory issues and can't handle heights for the reason because my sight gets overloaded with new info and causes my anxiety to hit the fight or flight button. Most I can handle constantly two stories. On occassion, four stories if I don't look out the window too much.

I didn't know this Saturday evening, but I got on the tallest drop tower in North America. I've gone sky diving, and I was slightly more terrified doing this. This ride angles you down so you're parallel to the ground, then pulls you up a few more feet before dropping you.

My wife and I held my son back prior to Kindergarten due for maturity reasons. His birthday is in June. He is now on of the older students in his grade. There are actually a set of twins one day older than him.
