Elaina is an overall caring person, when it comes to other people as well as animals, and she will always take the time to hear someone else's opinions and form her own mature response. However, because she is bipolar she is prone to extreme mood swings, and her love for the performing arts does not help to tone down the drama of these mood swings. Also, due to her nerdy nature, she can be seen as full of herself or arrogant, because she will not back down when she knows that she is right.

Elaina was born to her father and mother on New Year's day, 1998, at around 2:15 a.m. in Moscow, Russia. Her privileged father constantly received handouts from Elaina's grandparents while he was growing up, and he wisely invested some of the cash that they gave him into a large and now highly successful company in the Motherland. Meanwhile, her mother inherited quite a large sum of money when her only remaining relative, a distant great aunt, passed away when Elaina's mother was just seventeen years old. However, her mother grew up an orphan and did not always have wealth, so she instilled more compassion and kindness in Elaina and her sister (who was unexpectedly conceived six years after Elaina) than her father ever did: he was typically far too busy at investors' meetings, or out gambling, to pay any attention to the lives of his wife and daughters. Elaina and her sister, Karina, never really got along well, and she considered her best friend Eliza to be more of a sister than Karina to her. Elaina and Eliza were bullied by a nasty girl named Katia throughout their high school years, often being ridiculed and labeled "lesbian freaks" for being so close with one another.

Once Elaina had finished secondary school in Moscow, she enrolled in a prestigious university in nearby Ukraine. Unfortunately, in her second semester of college, she was assaulted walking back to the campus from a club after her friends had parted ways with her for the evening, and this took a huge toll on her mental health. Soon after, Elaina had to drop out of college due to her inability to handle the workload and overall stress, much to her mother's dismay, and her father's annoyance, and she no longer felt at home in her parents' Moscow mansion. She never told them about the incident that caused her academic disruption, because she knew that they likely wouldn't care or understand, and would simply label her a slut like they had done her younger sister in her teen years(before they shipped Karina off to boarding school).

Because of this, Elaina decided to get as far away as she possibly could from all that she had known and been subjected to in her young adult life, and so she hitched a ride on a small private plane that belonged to a man she met in a tavern in Germany (while visiting Eliza in school) all the way to the United States of America. Elaina settled on California for her love of the beach and of course, Disneyland and the other theme parks in the area, and found a job working part-time in the library at a school for elite adolescents, similar to herself, she hoped. After working at the school for a semester, she was offered a position as a teacher's aide/assistant for a language arts class, due to her impeccable grammar skills in multiple languages, and her interest in art and performance history. Now she is just trying to find ways to cope and heal from her painful past, earn a living wage for herself(although her parents still send her a stipend of $1,000 a week), and decide what it is that she wants to do with the rest of her life.

Elaina comes from a family that consists of a brunette, green-eyed father, a blonde, blue eyed mother, and one younger sister, Karina Natasha Romanova, who has dyed jet black hair and bright blue eyes. Karina is currently 16. Her parents still live in Moscow, while her sister was shipped off to a girls only boarding school in Lithuania in hopes that it would provide her with an 'attitude adjustment'. She also has a few cousins on her mother's side who live in America.

Her best friend is named Eliza(beth), and she is currently overseas at her own private, elite university in Germany.

N/A ATM. She has had a few past romances/flings that consisted of fooling around for brief periods of time here and there, but there is no one substantial in her life right now.

A girl who used to bully her at her secondary school in Russia, who is named Katia, is her only current 'enemy'/person she plots to get revenge against one day. She considers the men who assaulted her to be her enemies, but she is not currently seeking vengeance because she doesn't know who her attackers were.

	Sally, Sally, Sal. 
				Italy runs through her veins like the finest of reds from her hometown. 

	ꜱᴀʟᴠᴀᴛᴏʀɪᴀ ᴠɪᴇʀɪ ᴄᴀꜱᴛɪɢʟɪᴏɴᴇ; the product of vineyardist Salvatore Castiglione and one of his favorite mistresses; model Lucrezia Cosse. It wasn't a surprise that the successful businessman kept the company of many others, he didn't bother hiding it from anyone. Besides, who was gonna roll on a Castiglione?

The only daughter across all his other children, he took a shine to his little girl more than he thought he would. Her favorite person in the whole world was her father and subsequently she was his. She wasn't named after him for nothing. Salvatore was adamant about teaching his piccola principessa all he knew. And there wasn't anything she didn't get. The world was at her fingertips. Lucrezia, and subsequently the other women in his life, didn't enjoy that one bit. Always shunning her daughter or purposefully making her life more difficult at every turn—at least whenever they spent enough time together for it to matter. She was always in the presence of her father and half brothers, both loving the way he operates and fearing his silent wrath. It excited her to watch him work and she hoped to one day be able to replicate that admiration in her own direction.

Sal took to the family business with ease, much easier than the others. It was around this time that Lucrezia dug her dagger like claws into Salvatore and roped him into marriage. Only after annulling his first wife. It seemed as though she was getting everything. The man of her dreams, her status on the rise once more with the Italian masses. However, it came to light that Salvatore effectively marked his daughter down for the next in line to take over the family business, not his other children or his current wife. Not long after, Salvatore was found dead in his office. The police report marks it as a heart attack, but Sal has a strong feeling that that isn't the case.

Losing her father so suddenly and unexpectedly is enough to send anyone into a spiraling mess of bad decisions with even worse consequences. Sal didn't have time to actually grieve, something many people have told her it's OK to do, before her mother was remarried to an American Judge and she was whisked away to the states, finding herself as the newest member among the Rex children. Throwing herself into anything she can in order to forget about her real life problems was proving easier than she expected; Everything is better if you pretend it is, right?

The Castiglione family business is now under the thumb of her backstabbing, gold digging meretrix of a mother, seeing as how Salvatore never actually got to rewrite it over to Sal before his death. A true tragedy. "She's just going to run it into the ground..." a sentiment that is thought many times a day when it comes to Sal's mother and anything she comes in contact with. A dangerous woman, harboring too many secrets, that has Sal suspicious. But she isn't the only Castiglione with a few secrets herself.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

Spending the day wine tasting and whipping up some authentic cuisine from home. Honestly, they'd be useless without me here. Modeling and chess is something that doesn't take up as much of my time, but it's up there among the  preferiti. Catch me sunbathing with a book, wine and as little clothing as possible.

✔️✔️✔️ Italy; everything. The Renaissance. A good box of dark chocolate. Red wine is the only wine that matters. High end lingerie; or just clothing in general. Doesn't matter, it typically ends on the floor anyways. Cooking surprisingly; I'm very good in front of the stove. Classic literature. They don't call me the Castling Queen for nothing.

❌❌❌ I don't have to be the center of attention all the time but it's expected of you to give me the option. Who doesn't enjoy getting their way? Smudged makeup; specifically eyeliner.
