I have met quasi-celebrities; they are all NFL football players. Some gained nationwide notoriety, while others did not.

Steve Byrne learned my IRL name and asked if I had a tough childhood because of it, said I look like the night shift at a Gamestop and made me give a girl a lapdance.

I gave Marilyn Ghigliotti a ride to the airport once and we've been friends on FB ever since she added me back then. I also gave a ride to Rikki Simons (voice of GIR from Invader Zim) to the airport as well. Years ago I volunteered at the Supercon that took place directly across from my house, so that was fun. Very cool people, both of them.

I have never met any celebrities face to face in real life before, although I sometimes wish I have/had.

The closest I've gotten to meeting a celebrity was when I met an extra from the Vikings TV series.

My extroverted best friend dragged me to this weird Twilight: New Moon event and I got to meet somebody from the cast and got my first ever celebrity autograph. Think it was Kellan Lutz, but honestly I have the memory of a goldfish so I'm not sure anymore.

Tony Hawk did a thing at my middle school years ago. I didn't think to bring anything for him to sign when he was done so I found a piece of trash and handed it to him.

I lost it where I found it.

I have some kind of undiagnosed sleep condition, which causes me to fall asleep during prolonged activities such as driving, reading, watching tv, using the computer, or showering. Doctors try to blame it on low Vitamin D and iron, but I think there's more to it

I only come close to enjoying ginger ale when my stomach feels funny or when I am sick.

I have only asked one person to marry me. I knew I was not ready when I was in my 20s. The engagement happened in my 30s.

I used to think getting married was a vile undertaking. That it would remove my freedom. But I learned from getting married that it is quite the opposite. Your priorities change and life becomes much better; more fulfilling. My wife and I were talking about that old notion of "You will know when you meet the right person." Both of us were skeptical of those married friends who used that line on us. I had several girl friends in my 20s and felt that some of them might have made a good partner, but it never worked out. When I met my wife, I looked at her in a very different light than I did with the GFs I had years earlier. Four months into the relationship, I knew she was the right one for me.

For me, "the one" is currently married and living in Italy. He met his wife in the Army though she's like roughly a decade younger than him, but he joined late. Met this guy in high school in one of my classes and I instantly fell for him. We've hooked up in the past, walked around holding hands, and I even broke down in front of him this one time when I was drunk complaining about my aunt's treatment towards me. I also made a funny comment once how he should gain more muscle when he first joined the Army and what do you know, we video chatted while he was away and he was looking buff.

I mean, anyone would have confused us for a couple, but we never actually dated. I asked him once if he wanted to date, and he told me he wasn't looking for a relationship at the time. A mutual friend of ours swears otherwise, that back then he was trying to be in a relationship with me. I found that out recently, and honestly I was a bit confused. I've since moved on but it feels like me and "the one" weren't meant to be together, like the universe won't allow it.

Here's a fact lightning round.

I was mistaken for a celebrity as a child.

Everyone in my circle who tells me to start dating, are good partial reasons as to why I haven't.

This year, for all its thrown at me (and everyone else), is still more pleasant than the year prior.

I really hate my internet service provider. (The one thing that *was* better the year before.)

What you sound like to yourself, is very different from what other people hear.
