Hero, rogue, villain, or civilian: Labeled as a villain.
Code Name: Void Dragon
Real Name: Jeremiah Powell
Nicknames/Aliases
Gender Identity: A dude
Age: 35
Physical Description: Unlike the vast majority of Case 53's, who are monstrous, Jeremiah has retained his human appearance. He is around 5'11", has black hair that he grooms rather well, and has a distinct East London accent.
Personality: Jeremiah keeps to himself, as he knows that he cannot control himself once what he calls 'the monster' comes out. He once possessed a caring disposition, but once he was turned to a Case 53, he had become self serving and totally isolated. Jeremiah does not consider himself a criminal mastermind, but he will only help others if he is paid to do so, and will always force them to sign a contract of his own making. However, despite what first impressions say, he is deeply remorseful for what his dark half does at night, and spends hours crying whenever news of another maimed person comes up. Still, he trusts no one, and will willfully drive away anyone that tries to 'redeem' him, as he fears not only for himself but for others as well. He has done everything in his power to keep the monster within chained, but nothing, not even a metal cage, works.
Trigger Type: Case 53
PRT Power Classification: Mover 7, Blaster 5 - Changer/Brute 5
Power Perk(s):
Einstein-Rosen Bridge Manipulation: Void Dragon possesses the power to open wormholes towards locations that he is familiar with, allowing him to cross towards different places nigh instantaneously. Opening a wormhole takes roughly 5 seconds. He can also use this to retreat towards his pocket dimension.
Pocket Dimension Creation: Void Dragon maintains a pocket dimension that he uses as his lair. It is hidden within a seemingly ordinary house somewhere in Manchester; crossing through the portal disguised an ordinary doorway ushers any visitors into the dimension. Time does not flow within the pocket dimension, preventing him or anyone else from ageing or going hungry while within it.
Dimensional Ergokinesis: Void Dragon draws energy out of another dimension, which he channels as a ranged attack either through his hands or mouth. Each strike's lethality depends on their intensity; it can range from an uncomfortable prickly heat beam to a blast powerful enough to melt stone.
Call of the Void: While maintaining a human appearance in his everyday life, every night from 11pm to 3am, Void Dragon transforms into a reptilian humanoid with purple scales, red eyes, and the ability to meld with the shadows. He loses his ability to create wormholes and pocket dimensions in this time, but he becomes physically stronger and has sharp claws and teeth. In addition, Void Dragon's mind temporarily splinters, becoming into what is essentially a highly violent split personality.
Power Drawback(s): Void Dragon has been noted to be weak against sonic weaponry and powers. In addition, his most effective escape tools are lost when he transforms to
the Void Dragon.
History: Jeremiah Powell was an orphan in an orphanage in London. He had been abandoned on the place's doorstep, and thus, had never known his true parents, nor had he sought for them once he got to adulthood.
As a child, Jeremiah was a wierd one, demonstrating an exceptional cunning and intelligence by somehow always finding where their caretakers had hidden their keys as well as memorizing the shift patterns of the guards to get a chance of getting out into the world. He would, as some would say, been given a masterful mind.
At the age of 15, he was taken by an American couple looking for a child to adopt, as they were unable to conceive after their firstborn, and settled with having a young teen due to packing the extra money for all the formula milk and new baby clothes. They would have no regrets, as Jeremiah would prove to be quite caring as an adoptive son, if not very mischievous. That was, until they were killed in a criminal parahuman attack, at which point Jeremiah was already 18 years old. He would continue taking care for his adoptive sister, despite all the difficulties associating with trying to care for a ten year old all by oneself. Even then, he was still studying, supported by a scholarship that was given to him as long as his good grades were maintained.
Sadly, however, the sister also died a year later as the result of a set of complications from cerebral palsy. Jeremiah would be left alone, that is, until Cauldron took him and transformed him into the shapeshifting Void Dragon. He would be released into the concrete jungle with a case of amnesia like almost all other Case 53's, only that he managed to retain enough fragments of his memories that he knew that his abilities were the result of experiments.
He returned to his studies, and knowing that he transforms into a monstrous reptilian every midnight, he dedicated himself to understanding the genes of man so that one day he would be able to return himself to a state of normalcy. However, results eluded him at every step, and it is only a matter of time before he gives up all hope...
