Heyo so I've been doing a roleplay for a while and me and the other person enjoy it but it seems to be a little uneventful and slow, getting boring and just leaving us both to put short replies as we don't know what else to do. We decided to take a break and leave each other to think of some things we can possibly add to it to make it better but I'm not too sure on any idea right now. If anyone has any tips or ideas as to what I can do or we can do to make it not boring then please tell me haha. Also if anyone has any scenes or things like that we can add that'll make it better.

ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED ♥️
(It's a romantic, nonsexual rp right now if anyone needs to know haha)

Timeskip, have an earnest talk about direction, otherwise something to introduce a change has worked well for me in the past. The fact you two agreed on a break to think leads me to believe there's a good shot that this would work. If the moment isn't panning out, find one that will.

Ok! Thank you so much, I'll definitely see if we can do that. We've done timeskips before and are actually planning to do it now but after the timeskop we're sort of stuck as to what might happen once we jump to another scene/time

I imagine some scene, concept, or dynamic was at the heart of your original interest; when timeskipping I think that same level of early 'so what should we explore' attitude is best. It's a romance yes, but what's a spin that would be fun to play out? I can't suggest specifics, but that's the kind of dialogue I mean. Finding the path with the idealistic attitude that got things started.

My apologies for being vague, I can't think of much more to add.

That's just fine, no worries about specifics or like detail. I understand what you're saying :) I'll definitely try that! Just put forth the same effort and attitude that I had in the beginning

I'd like to second an event. That's basically what keeps life interesting. Might be a job opportunity that requires you both to move. Might be a job opportunity that means you'll have to be a long distance relationship for awhile. Might be a big fight that has you living separately for a bit. Might be a death in the family. Might be one of you become an aunt or uncle. Could have an old flame showing up and one partner is worried the other might cheat on him/her with that old flame.

There's always stuff to make you reassess your decisions.

That's actually really good! I'll think of some that may come up and still be reasonable. That's an issue I usually have, trying to come up with something that'll add a bit of drama and interest but still be quite small and low-key, being something realistic. Thank you :)
