I dont think we picked a color theme or the mascot for the university, before I make my post I wanna make sure everyone is cool with the color theme/mascot.

Im thinking:
Color Theme: Black and Bright Green
Mascot: not sure myself but what about an Eagle?

@Myling No, they don't. Unless you guys prefer that they do, I am always open to comments, crit, suggestions, and retconning as needed. =)

I'd personally rather not have a uniform, so each character can have one more unique defining thing about them (clothing choice).

(That being said, Corrie will dress as if there's a uniform anyway.)

Question: How do nocturnal species work? Are they still very nocturnal, or not at all, or just more inclined to a "night owl" human schedule? I imagined the third for Corrie, but I can easily change that.

@BizarreLolli Sorry I missed your post. I hadn't thought about a mascot. Eukary University is about diversity and including all types of animals, and its name comes from the domain Eukarya, which includes plants, animals, and fungi. The root word roughly translates to "good seed", which kind of makes me think of something like an Acorn as a mascot with green, white and gold accents. But that's not very intimidating...

Eagles work, though... If we go with eagles, I'm thinking of something like this. Blue, with white and orange accents.
But bright green and black and white works too. You're thinking something like this?

I imagine most if not all sports teams would be given jerseys and jackets with school colors and mascot.

@ZanavyI imaged nocturnal animals as having an inclination toward being a "night owl" rather than being truly nocturnal. In the world I've crafted, the reason animals are so people-like, is that somehow (through a virus, or alien or divine intervention) animals were infused with human DNA. But, every animal/person is different, and there are still many truly nocturnal people and lineages (which means you can do whatever you want.) =)

The eagle one is intimidating but now that Im thinking on it more since you mentioned diversity do we feel like the eagle would include the herbivores too?

@Argetlam350 Since your character on the track team with mine too, what are your thoughts on the colors/mascot

Pretty certain Zaina at the moment isn't apart of any team. Not saying that won't change just putting out there that I don't think I have anything in her history at thee moment for that.
Anyways as for mascot, I think should stick with the seed, always nice to have an interesting tie in to the name. Could be worked on to look a bit cooler, seen a pretty neat art of a skull made from an acorn, shame that I don't have the image anymore, maybe dig it up later.

I've been catching up on all the reading, my character is on the Track and Field team as well. I also like the idea of a seed being the mascot.

I agree, the Acorn is probably the best mascot for Eukary University. Choosing a specific animal doesn't feel right.

So how about this? School colors are mainly Green and White with Gold/Yellow accents (or maybe brown if you guys prefer?). Roughly, this is what they would look like. But imagine a big "E" or "ACORNS" or the acorn mascot.

We could put an angry face on the acorn? :P
