I see! if the votes balance out at 2 v 2 for Forge / Stronghold after their final decisions that leaves @Dark Cloud with the deciding vote.

For the entrance, it looks like the consensus so far is something along the lines of taking over an abandoned dwarvern relic. If it's too cold perhaps underground there are steam vents or magma flows if you get down deep enough, with higher levels being cooler. There's a consensus on magical illumination in the dungeon which works well, and so far a preference for a balanced hoard - mostly magical crystals with gold, armor and weapons mixed in. The gold/ weapon /armor based on what raids you've done recently.

I know there are still conversations going on IC that are unresolved but I'm going to throw a spanner in the mix with a GM post today.

We are now in the Raid phase! Pick your Raid Plan of choice between the five of you, I'll ask some quick questions about some details, and we'll use a Power Struggle to determine who wins out if we're at a total impasse.

Here's a brief overview of Power Struggles since it'll come up sooner or later:



Here are your options for raid plans. You can customise them to say, Krieg leads the charge, or Phardax and Baganaria go in to seduce them first, Darc and Zaz'ac sneak in together to set a trap, or all charge in at once, or someone hangs back to catch stragglers, ect:

AMBUSH: Hit them where they least expect it, making sure they don't take any of you down in the process.

ASSAULT: I reccomend this option if you're unsure. Bring full force to bear, driving off or killing all those who stand against you.

NEGOTIATION: Talk it out, tell lies, or offer something to get what you want, spilling as little blood as possible.

STEALTH: slip in, find what you're after, and slip out quietly, being noticed as little as possible.

TRICKERY: Confuse, lure, or trick them into doing what you want, without letting on until it's too late.

STRIKE: Bust in, get what you want, and run out quickly, without deviating from your goal.

@Mae How important is this current group, i.e. if they're lost, does it trigger a search party? If yes, how strong?

If this information requires a rolled action, I'll have my succubus roll TRICK to make them trust me and if possible, a +1d for the next phase, then BANTER(s) to ask them of:
- The group's importance
- Possible home/destination; how far, how well defended
- Any valuable intel on the surrounding world

Depends on the good-guy's answer, my succubus will again TRICK them either to take a path that can hide our monster party, or to a path that we can SKULK them for loot as our characters' combined points really have an advantage in it.

Is it possible that my TRICK affects the following SKULK(s) with +1d? Might be combined with a SCAN from other member to nerf/boost it.

This is a proposal for PLAN A, assuming my dice is favored by this site's random number generator.

@VeyrinDay If we go with plan A - Trickery Raid:
to get that information you'll need a rolled action. The Trick will be regular position, high effect (as the dwarves are drinking and making merry) you won't get a +1d but it will put you in a better position for the banter.

If you want to adjust the rolls further, here are the options. Team up is a group option and assist is from one other character:

I like this plan. Is there any way Darc can skulk so he can be hidden from the dwarves and then scan them for their belongings, numbers, or anything that might be useful? For example if they wear any emblems that signify they鈥檙e part of a bigger organization or army. He鈥檒l also be in position in case something goes wrong and he can leap right into action to take out some dwarves by surprises

I think I'll let the other player modify what's necessary, I might be unavailable for the next 5-7 hours.

My plan is, if the team, regardless of the intel, decides to ambush, the succubus will be guiding the good-folks to the most convenient place for attack. So there are TRICK rolls for:
1. Misguiding the goodfolks to follow
2. For each goodfolks member, misguide them to scatter (Defense Against Caught Lying if fail)

All to make the situation for any SKULK more advantageous.

Is this possible based on the system?

Well I feel like a Forge could lead to a mixed game of politics and combat, a Stronghold however isn't well suited towards Zaz'ak. It seems like Forge is a decent comprise to the Stronghold.

So @Mae my vote goes for Forge.

@VeyrinDay@Lucius Cypher To clarify, I counted the votes late last night and wanted it to get the news out before bed, not realising that some votes would of changed with @POOHEAD189's vote. After reading those posts today, I'm allowing a tiebreaker, since 2v2 with a final vote is cleaner then everyone picking one thing with one final vote. Plus, if i'd been more awake a final confirmation post would of been a cleaner way to tie it off.

the votes would then be
Stronghold - Poohead189 and Kenshi
Forge - VeyrinDay and Lucius Cypher

with @Dark Cloud, who origionally voted for Hideout, getting the final say. The Dungeon type is now Forge, unless four or more people suddenly change their minds for a particular dungeon type. As far as I'm concerned, the type becomes 'locked in' once you defeat this raid and claim your home. Once the dungeon building actually begins there is no going back.

You can SKULK while Veyrin TRICKs and SCAN while she BANTERs. There's no roll for initiative compared to D&D so we can pace things narratively.

hold up, I've just realised no-one here has the Conniver Tongues ability so talking with words is not going to be possible, you'll have to come up with a solution for that problem. You do have various magics that could help you if you go that route ;)

Is magic something any of us can do? Near as I can tell none of us have abilities that specifically mention us being able to speak the Light tongue.

Following on that since none of us can naturally speak the light tongue, we鈥檙e going to need to go for a Wounded Gazelle gambit. Trick the mortals into thinking an innocent is being attacked so we can ambush them. Not like we鈥檙e going to get any Information from questioning them (because none of us know the light language).

I went into my DnD room today, hasn't been used since covid broke out.
I was sitting there looking at my figurines, grabbed my Minotaur and kobold.
Stood them side by side, wow, Dark Cloud your guy is short.
So then I faced them for a conversation, and realized your looking at my groin, so I am going to use that in the IC a lot.

Clang Clang doesn't go the trolley bro
