The young Knight was a spitfire; temperamental, itchy to fight, and insubordinate. Just recently, he'd pushed his luck too far and his superiors deemed punishment necessary. His penance... was to be the personal bodyguard to the Princess.

Under most circumstances, such a position would be viewed as a high honor, and usually, it is. However, this particular Princess was trained by the Captain of the Guard to look after herself. She is equally fiery and adventurous, and dislikes being cooped up in the castle all day. So, she is assigned the Knight to be her bodyguard.
Unfortunately, when you're a battle-hungry Knight charged with protecting a Princess who hardly needs protecting, only torture and boredom ensues. This is going to be a long punishment.
Hello, there! Welcome to my request thread. Here, I am doing something wholly original and based in a Fantasy setting, while using a familiar pairing with a twist. We're all familiar with the Knight in Shining Armor who has to rescue the Princess, but what if the Princess was a self-sufficient glory hog who is beloved by her subjects and the Knight was more or less her glorified butler? This paves the way for more light-hearted, character-driven storytelling. However, more dramatic stories can be told down the line! For the most part, we will be doing somewhat episodic adventures, with the long-running narrative being the developing relationship between a knight and his charge.
For this scenario, I would personally be interest in playing the role of the beleaguered knight.
As some general guidelines:
* Preferably someone over 20.
* Semi-frequent, well-written replies.
* Willing to plan out with me, though I do have a good amount of stuff in mind for this world.
* OOC chatter is something I fully endorse!
