@Dog I'm not sure about the size scaling, but from what I've seen I think Imperial Knight's would be a bit too unwieldy to fit the bill of Heavy.

That said, I'm sure something akin to a Macross Destroid (or the Warhammer if you favor Battletech's ownership over the mech over Macross/Robotech ownership) would suffice nicely as a heavy weapons platform.
I mean, I'm interested, Myke, but I need to figure out if I can make the sheet or not. It's very complicated! 😂
Would a pure heavy melee mecha work somehow?
<Snipped quote by Dog>
A melee heavy mech could work, like a sort of medieval knight in space kinda vibe, relying on its size and armor to keep it safe, while still being mobile enough to function as a fighter. Probably not melee only, but it could definitely be melee heavy, with a few supplementing ranged weapons so its not a sitting duck while making its way to the front.
It sort of looks like a different take on a typical 'new guy' character, and I have yet to have had a test pilot in any of my iterations of this RP, so that'll be exciting. I have no issue with the character concept thus far, and I like the direction you took with it.
That being said, I am curious, when/where did she score the kills she currently holds? From her background, it seems she's spent her entire career thus far as a test pilot, and is getting her first taste of combat testing now. Did she get them while fleeing from the Garmr? If so that's a lot for a single pilot on their own. Just food for thought.
Regarding the mech- or what parts of it are completed, I like it as well. It kinda seems like its trying to combine the speed (and relative fragility) or a conventional aerospace fighter with the more maneuverable MAS. To be honest, the design philosophy seems very similar to Ingram's Sparrowhawk, but in the opposite direction in regards to speed and durability. All in all, excited to see how it all fits together.
Ooh, an earthling, not a lot of those left.
All in all, I like the character, and I have no real criticisms of her as far as direction goes. I like the whole drop-out turned aspiring-ace sort of path set for her. Of course, no party is complete without a raging alcoholic I suppose- doesn't matter if you're in fantasy-not-europeland or space. I think she'll fit in just fine.
Incidentally, I know it wasn't intentional but I found it amusing that on the character sheet her gear was labelled as 'standard for Imperial service'- The Imperial Service is the shorthand name given to the Royal Family's secret service/bodyguard unit.
In regards to the mech, I'm actually quite happy you went and took one of the templated examples and built on it to make it your own through these moderate adjustments that still fit well into the established world.
Overall everything looks pretty well thought out and well designed. Bravo!
