I'd be looking for either a 1x1 partner or a co-GM for a small group RP. I tend to have one primary character and maybe some supporting characters, but I can do more. Let's get right into it.

The galaxy has already faced the apocalypse. Much of civilization had been destroyed in the war against an unknown force of horrors. Not some strange, interdimensional horrors that defy logic or reason, no. These horrors were familiar, these horrors were flesh and bone contorted and stretched together with machinery to become horrendous abominations of destruction and violence.

The horrors came, and at the final hour of the Terran people, the apocalypse vanished. None remain to remember why, or even to remember the threat, but fragments of the doom that came remain. Parts and pieces touched by the taint, whole machines just waiting to wake and begin the mindless slaughter yet again.

Amidst the peace, obtained by ancient powers in a wild gambit, hope had been given a form. A new kind of material, crystalized energy, had been left behind in the wake of disaster. The substance would come to be known as Aevon, and it would power the rise of Terrans back into space and beyond.

A message left with the crystal would drive them. The apocalypse would return and once again threaten all that lives. It was up to Terra to unite the galaxy against the threat that would one day return.

There are many directions we can go with this.

A populated planet has been discovered nearby, and Terra sends a team that would vary in size, depending on the situation.

Interacting with another galactic empire that's recovering from the apocalypse.

On a planet that has allied with Terra and accepted her influence, we could go a more slice-of-life/magical individual route.

Star Trek/Deep Space Nine-ish thing on the roving colony ship.

Or we can talk about what you'd want to do.

There's all sorts of options. I've left out some details, as well, because there's a lot of details, and I don't want to drown people so quickly.

I would be looking for a co-GM to run something like a magical person squad small group RP. Or, like, sentai or something. We could also run a space opera or first contact kind of scenario.

A nation RP in space, facing down the apocalypse together, perhaps. Back when magic was quiet and hidden, existing only on the periphery of everyday life. When Terra was still a mighty empire.

Could focus on a civilization that has risen in the new era, still bound to the planet but developing under different rules.

Hi!

I am most definitely interested in this one! I have been writing Trek for over ten years on my own on various websites and forums which concentrate on Trek solely. I have also done discord Role plays of various things including Trek. I have been writing for well over a decade and have really honed my specialties. I prefer to write females, if possible, heterosexual as well. I love post apocalyptical storylines as well as great space adventure story lines. I am very much well versed in utilizing a lot of 'tech' talk when it comes to it having role played as a Starfleet Engineer for a ridiculously long time. I know I just joined this site, so I am unproven, but I promise if you take a chance on me I will prove myself.

I do work full time, I have a family, and I also go to school. So, I may not be able to post daily, but I will definitely make it a priority to post as much as I can. I get into my characters and don't like to ghost people, and don't appreciate being ghosted. I come from a place of mutual respect and enjoy really getting to dive into a role and world with someone. I like talking over discord, chatting, and fleshing out worlds and characters if possible with my writing partner so it's more of a co-written world than a single man pushing the story alone.

Let me know if you're interested, because I sure am!

Still interested in 1x1s, if that's your thing. Got a group RP you think I might be into? Hit me up, too.

There's lots of room for doing lots of different things.

Fantasy and magic, less sci fi? That's in there, but that will be in a particular time in a particular region of the Galaxy, possibly localized to one planet for a while.

Super sci-fi? That's there, too. We've got the remnants of the galactic community sporting that genre in the era immediately following the Black Year.

There's plenty of room, folks.

Here’s the set up:

Our characters are soldiers or sailors at war with one another from distant planets. Sailors man the mighty ships surging through the galaxy and the soldiers spawn from there ships to fight and die on land not unlike their home worlds.

During an engagement between warships slugging it out, escape pods jettisoned from doomed vessels send our two characters to some unknown distant planet uninhabited by intelligent lifeforms. Instead, a world composed of rock, desert, scattered pools of water and small dabs of arable land or thick tangle of jungle. The creatures of this world are diverse including both prey and predator. The prey are abundant and are sufficient for our characters to eat happily. The predators are in sufficient numbers to make survival precarious.

Imagine the US Army Rangers who stumbled through some unseen portal in the movie Monster Hunter or the indigenous creatures of Pandora in Avatar who threatened the Air People (Humans).

Our characters crash on the planet, or our escape pods land safely depositing us on this hostile world with no intelligent life. We are unaware of each other’s presence initially, focusing on survival and contacting anyone off world. But our communications equipment is damaged and contact outside Quoras-3 is not possible without some repairs which will require time and spare parts which no one has.

Eventually, our characters become aware of one another and must decide which is more important, trying to kill the other or fighting the indigenous lifeforms to remain alive until rescue can be made. We do fight, but eventually, we come to a cooperative agreement similar to USAF Hank Marlow and IJN Gunpei Ikari who crash on Skull Island (King Kong) during WWII and agree to work together.

The pair stumble upon a lost artifact in a cave on this planet that mysteriously grants both characters with magical abilities. Magic disappeared from the universe several millennia ago. There are sacred tomes on both sides detailing the actions of magic wielders in ancient times, but no one has possessed these abilities for eons. They are considered mythical.

Finally, the pair are rescued and return to their home worlds in possession of these gifts. But this could be another story.

The Na’Vi of Pandora are not there. There is only one large flying dragon like the one seen in Monster Hunter. He is the dominant species of the planet. There is one extensive underground hive of scorpion like insects that will not climb out of their tunnels during daylight. The lush forests are just as dangerous as the open expanses of desert, and it is brutally hot.

What happens when the two go back home could be left for another story or possibly a Role Play involving a group of 5-10 people.

@Gunther

Do you mind if we change things up a little bit? The base idea is fine, but I think we could use a little more plot. As for tying things into a group RP, I have one this should fit into nicely. Shall we more Monster Hunter flavor for action with some additional large creatures that have been feeding on Aevon-enriched foods, and expand the ancient artifact into some ancient ruins to refurbish? Maybe throw in some "primitive" locals for manpower. Could have complementary roles for the two characters, as well. A soldier and an engineer or some such. Whatcha think?
