Due to the fact that English is not my first language, my brain sometimes gets confused as to what language mode it should be on, and given the pronunciation of "chive" being the way it is, 90% of the time I read archive as ar-chive because in Spanish it's pronounced similarly (think ar-shee-vo).

The same has happened in the past with other words, leading to some people mocking me. What can you do, right?

About half of us Miamians use Spanglish. There's a joke there with Sperman somehow though. 🤔

I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday. Spoiler alert: it isn't, much to my disappointment.

Today is Holy Thursday. With Good Friday tomorrow and most workplaces off, it does feel like Friday.

I was born and raised Catholic, then sometime in my childhood my mother converted to Christianism so I did as well by default. In my 20s I stopped going to church and I was an Atheist and/or Agnostic depending on the day. After going through some major life events I guess I consider myself a spiritualist now. Like I pray, but I'm not the overly religious type. Not opposed to going to church, but I choose not to because it's beyond boring for me.

It could just be the timing, but after saying a quick prayer here and there my life improved and my goals/expectations were being met.

I also want to take up meditation to calm my crazy mind and looked into Buddishm out of curiosity but the pages I visited always offered an overly complicated explanation.

A lot of people stop going to church after graduating HS and leaving the family house. I stopped going to church between ages 18 and 28. For similar reasons, I returned to church after 10 years away and have consistently gone to church since then. Since, not going to church is a sin, I confessed that one years ago. Regardless, today is still Holy Thursday and tomorrow is Good Friday. ;)

My dad is a pastor/minister. Went to 12 years of school for it, has a Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degree, learned 3 different languages, 2 of them dead. It's a strange thing. Some churches just choose someone who can just go up and talk, but other actual ministers are historians, linguists, administrators, and semi-philosophers.

Oh yeah, well my pastor could play electric guitar!

2021 should allow me to finally improve on my (admittedly comfortable but) stagnant circumstances. Since unlike years prior, I think my life might actually change in a significant way. (Which at this point, I could use a little adventure.)

For I've been house hunting as of late. And I'm more than likely going to be purchasing a house this year. Preferably sooner, rather than later. (But regardless, these next couple of months are certainly going to be revealing, and potentially a great opportunity/redemption for others.) Time will tell.

I have a Masters of Divinity and I was on track to becoming a Pastor...until my Candidacy Committee and I got into some disagreements and I choose to speak my mind...15 Committee members vs 1 of me...guess who lost that fight...but I went down on MY terms. I forced them to make a call when they wanted me to quit. No regrets on my part.

A positive note about the whole process...I met my wife (who is a Pastor) and we have a 17 year old son.

So today I uh...Spent all my starting gold on building like 30 or so Leaf Leshy's in Pathfinder. Like around 22000gp on sentient plant golems with their own free will.

So I went on a higher journey with amnesia but magic melons brought me back
