It was almost afternoon when Lillian looks out of the window of the large white building. It used to be a dancing school with apartments above it. It was one of the largest buildings in the little town she was now holding her own. ''Another day alive.. I am doing better than most would have thought'' she said to herself and grabbed her backpack from the ground. It was time to search for some supplies and more items she could use for traps and weapons. The new hunting season would soon start after all.

She took the stairs down and dodged the few traps she had set up inside this building. It were not great traps because this town didn't have much to work with but she had managed to make at least one very nasty trap with water from the sewer. It would, if hit in the right way at least make the GM lose track of the smell it was following because of the smell of the water. She walked outside after smelling the air and ran towards the small store at the other side of the road and walked inside. Most of the store was already empty but there were a few cans left and she would gladly take those with her though she wasn't sure yet if she would leave town or stay.

After hitting a few other stops, she was quite satisfied with her haul for this afternoon and she walked over main street back towards her building. That was when a smell suddenly triggered her instinct, she turned around and looked right at a man, taller than her and he smelled like one of her wort enemies: Scientifically made werewolf aka GM as she called them. ''What the.. You are early but there is nothing to kill for you here'' She said, her chin up high and a hand resting on her hip.

The program of the Science wolves where very tormenting and dangerous. Often kids have been ripped away from their parents, the government makes sure they have healthy genes. The kids are then pretty much made braindead before the government injected a Werewolf gene into them creating a monster of a creature. The program had started when werewolves populations had skyrocketed and out of control, the government was fearful of wolves taking over so they created hunting dogs is what they called them. These mutated humans were made ultra-aggressive and hostile to any werewolf scent, trained and even some wolves were captured and used as first targets for the young pups.

As they got older the Alpha as they called him made sure everyone was ready to be sent out often finding any weakness at all and slaughtering them before they even got a chance to react. Alexander was a lucky one that survived all of it and had been sent out to hunt many years ago and often traveled with another wolf with him and the hunter as well. They had crossed paths with a pack when he was younger, the hunter started to fire, and Alexander and the other wolf took aim at any wolf daring to fight. His jaws snapped necks and claws tore into flesh with ease, it was a horrifying first hunt but his aim was caught off as he smelled wolves escaping.

Giving chase he had almost caught up with a younger female, a snarl escaping his jaws till he hears whines as his ears perked, seeing pups cowering behind her. His dark and dangerous eyes stared at her for a brief moment but slowly backed away giving her a look of run or its over. Only when the other GM went after her did his blood rage really show as he attacked and slaughtered his own companion and made sure she and the pups got away. The hunter punished him severely for his morals still there and was reprogrammed and released back to hunt.

It had been years since that terrible night, but his slaughter-fest was never over, his jaws and claws saw the death of fifty wolves every year. It was the number that would keep him alive, and out of the Alpha's jaws. His human form walked through a town that was deserted as many wolves feared and knew when hunting season began. He was a defect from many other GM that killed mindlessly, he still held onto a shred of morals, just something to make him feel less of a monster though he was aware of the lives he took.

His eyes caught sight of the female and looked at her, the same dark eyes that looked at her all those many years ago. His head tilted slightly looking at her slightly and smirked amused "You're not the prey in question, unfortunately. A word from you holds no say in what is around and not around. I will do as I please, stay out of my way and you don't get hurt" he said lowly in a dangerous tone, ready for a fight if needed but he wasn't seeking a fight not yet anyway. She smelled like a werewolf and his intent was to kill but as it was the afternoon he never attacked during the day.

"Besides shouldn't you be hiding anyway? You know we kill your breed" he said GM never spoke they only attacked and killed. To find one that spoke and let alone didn't attack without even a reason was near impossible to see these days. But he wasn't interested in a fight, many wolves also attacked GM and he didn't blame them. His long blade hair covered his face mostly but his eyes the same dark void that stared at her those many years ago.

Lillian looked at him before he would answer and his eyes were familiar. It took a moment from her time to recognize him as the GM that had given her a chance to leave, and a flash back came by. It was a night like any others, she was not able to turn yet and was sleeping peacefully in her bed. No care in the world to trouble her mind or haunt her dreams until the alarm went of inside the pack house. She had woken up and like the instructions her father and mother had given her countless times, she had dressed up quickly and put on her hiking shoes. A backpack stood in her closet, packed with clothes and some items to be able to survive the wilderness in case of emergencies.

She had run down the stairs and saw how her the warriors of her pack had already shifted, including her father and mother. They each bumped their heads against her and licked her hands. A simple goodbye. She walked to the group of teenagers around her age, together they would head for the mountains and live there until either they would be able to shift and go their own way or a adult would come to get them. It was all planned out after the first GM's had appeared. They heard shots and that was their call to leave, so they did. From a backdoor, the teenagers and younger kids left the pack house.

Most of her friends ran and kept running, not looking back. She had, together with one other teenager, taken responsibility over the younger kids and they used to fighting to hide. After reaching the forest, there was a hidden path that would lead to the mountains. They had just stood in front of the passage way when she had heard a wolf growling behind her. She had turned around, in a protective stance for the pups behind her. She stared at the wolf and he had stared back at her. When he nodded his head, she knew they could leave. She urged the kids to go when suddenly a different GM charged at her and the group. She thought she was dead when the wolf that was letting her go, suddenly charged at his own companion. She took the time that they were fighting to leave with the kids.

After that, years had passed. Most of the teenagers left after they could shift, some stayed but the moment a GM had found their scent, they left. She was the only one that looked at the kids as much as possible but eventually she had failed her task. It had taken her a lot of time to get over that but she had.

She was surprised to say the least that after all those years he stood in front of her again. She listened to what he said and found it weird that he would not attack her or try to kill her. ''Hmpf'' was the only sound she made at first and rolled her eyes. ''It is rare to hear your kind talk, but hey.. Go ahead and search around the town if you feel like wasting your time'' she said with a little smile. She turned around and started to walk away from him. ''I know you kill my kind.. Difference mister.. You were made, I was born. So to me, you are a different kind, not just a different breed'' she said and her voice wasn't deadly or dangerous but full of sarcasm and sounded sharp-witted.

He looked at her and sniffed the air slightly and shook his head sharply at the yelling in his head, the voices of kill and slaughter. He looked at her and shook his head "the difference is you are free" he said slowly his eyes narrowed slowly "Not a pet" he said slowly looking around slowly before his frame shifted into the massive black shaggy looking monstrous wolf as he walked right past her, his tail flicked and patted her on the back of the head. Seeming to praise her for surviving as long as she had before trotting away down the road slowly, his eyes scanning around and sniffing around the roads and grass.

Picking up an old scent from passing by Gm he grumbled annoyed, they always fought for the most kills. Alexander was one of the stars of the program. He hears her behind him and looked behind him and seeing her just watching him and glared at her. He snorted and rolled his eyes once again and looked down the long road and growled lowly, if he was lucky he could make it to the house before nightfall and rest in peace.

Without much of care for what she was doing, the large black GM trotted down the pebble road and to the larger farmlands outside of the town. His eyes scanning around as his ears perked and smelled a deer and looked around slightly and decided to find a snack before he headed to his home to rest before the hunt began. His frame disappeared into the forest, most would belive it be hard for a GM to hunt anything but wolves, but they still were that...wolves in their genetics. His eyes scanning and saw the deer herd and watching them and frowned seeing it was a mother and few younglings and growled lowly and sighed gently.

Guess he would be going hungry till he found a male stag or something better. He loved fish if he could find a stream or river he would go fishing. He was an Odd Gm, most GM would eat or rip apart werewolves and humans alike that shelter werewolves. But this GM not only left her alone but also didn't attack the deer. His high kill drive was there but he had a reason for leaving certain things alone, he learned the hard way......why some never deserve to die.

Lillian looked at him as he said that she was free unlike him and sighed. ''I might be free but I'm never safe'' she said. ''But then again, you are probably also not safe'' she added and when he turned, she automatically did take a step back. When his tail patted her head, she frowned a bit but followed with her eyes how he walked away and sniffed on the ground.

As she kept looking, she saw him looking back at her and rolling his eyes. ''Hey, don't snort or roll your eyes at me.. You might be the one that kills my kind but I have killed yours too'' She said and even though she had always felt proud of it, saying it out loud made her not feel as proud as she used to feel. They had deserved it, that was for sure but bragging about killing someone? She shook her head. ''Sorry.. I shouldn't have said that'' She said but she saw he was already quite a bit away from her so she didn't even know how much he had heard of what she just had said.

She felt a urge to follow him even though she knew it was a dangerous thing to do. Maybe if she didn't shift but stayed human? He seemed to not wanting to kill her in her human form so maybe he wasn't fully triggered by it? She decided to do it, she could always stay on a safe distance and run the moment he changed his attitude. She quickly followed him, making no extra sound than normally and the moment she reached the farmlands, she stayed low and out of the wind. Following him into the forest, she kept her distance and kept scanning around, not only for a prey herself but also for a way out if he would change his mind.

She then saw the deer and her younglings, and saw how he was looking at them. Was he gonna attack? Sure he was, why wouldn't he? She kept looking and then heard a low growl but saw how he moved away. He actually turned around! She was surprised and for a moment forgot to start walking herself. She stood low to the ground and suddenly could feel his breath on her face. ''Eh.. Hi?'' She said and then quickly stood straight on her feet. ''I was just curious so no need to now think of killing me after all'' she said, holding her hands up and quickly moving to the side, not seeing a rock behind her which caused her to stumble and fall on her back. ''Shit..'' she exclaimed in a painful way. ''That was my butt''.

The Gm had turned around and snarled deeply seeing she was following him around getting closer till she fell over. A huff escaped his nose as he glared at her sharply and narrowed his eyes in warning Now stop following me he said sharply in her head in a grave warning fang bared one last time and snapped at her to get the point across before turning and walking the other way back for the road.

As he got back onto the road he shook himself off and proceeded to follow down the path which after a few miles of walking he seemed to stumble across an old farmhouse. A family used to live there, but the people there had died years ago. He jumped the fence and trotted through the deshovled pathway covered in thorns and rocks and came to a large tree where tombstones were.

He sat down and stared at the stones and stared at the faded away lettering on the stones and placed his head on the tombstone and closed his eyes and laid down and seemed to just whine looking at the words on it. His eyes snapped open hearing something rustling as he got up and snarled deeply fangs bared at the ready and seeing the young woman came tumbling out of the thorn bushes his eyes widen more in shock she even stay following him.

ARE YOU DUMB?! He snapped angrily at her fur brsitled angrily seeming to hide the stones brehind him his eyes glowing with rage.

Lillian could hear him in her head, this freaked her out for a moment. She didn't know a GM could also use a mind link, let alone mind link to a natural wolf. She had never experienced it but then again most GM's would kill on sight. She saw how angry he was because she had followed him and swallowed. He then snapped at her and she moved a bit more back, she held back the urge to kick him in his throat because she knew all his 'friendliness' would be gone right away.

When he walked away, she took a deep breath and it took her a moment to regain her composure because that moment was creepy as hell. She saw him walk down the road and even though she had understood his warning very well, she still felt the urge to follow him. Somehow she wanted to see more of this human and so she decided to go against her gut feeling to stay away from him. She followed him from a more safe distance this time.

She saw him jump over a old looking fence and she followed him slowly. The ground he was on was a old farm and when he walked, she noticed that the entrance was on a little hill, she decided to stay there and watch him for a while. From there she saw how he walked to some stones, it looked like tombstones. She saw how careful he was with them and tried to get a little closer yet she lost her balance and rolled down the hill, heading for some thorn bushes. She knew she couldn't dodge those and so she went for her only less painful option she had left: A quick shift.

While rolling down she let her wolf out and thanks to her experience in shifting, she was quick and before she hit the bushes, she was in her wolf form. Rolling through the bushes and stopping at the other side, she shook her head and looked at the GM who was clearly very angry. I am NOT! she snapped back and she quickly got up. I didn't mean to go down the hill, I wanted to see what your plan was to see if I could stay in my hide out.. But then I tripped she linked to him and it was strange to link her thoughts to a GM. She could feel a familiar feeling like when she linked with normal wolves but also difference because he was different from her. She tried to keep a rational thought but she could feel that her wolf side, her more aggressive side, was fighting to take over.
