Tamás had the avenge height and weight for a human male, but his looks came primarily from his father's side. He earned a scar on his right hand during the Reaper invasion of the Citadel. He also liked to wear his Janissary Armor since it made him feel protected. The armor still looked battle-worn, with the olive green hiding most of the damages; but, there were hints of dried blood on it to serve as a reminder. Besides the armor, his clothing choices were limited to hand-me-downs since the Reaper invasion. So, he wore whatever made him feel comfortable.
MOTIVATIONS AND OUTLOOK◢
Tamás became hyperfocused on saving his home, The Citadel, from critical life support failure. It was really the only thing that had his undying attention. But for a moment, he did reflect on the hell he experienced only a month ago. He also thought about Canlius too often for his own good, wondering if he was alive or dead. The worst part was thinking if he died for Reapers or no breathable air. And he thought about his family on Earth, wondering if they somehow survived the decimation. Or at least knowing if they died peacefully or painfully. Thinking about them hurt Tamás more than he wanted to admit.
For now, the survival of his home needed his attention, and it might have done him some good in the long run.

Shortly after the Battle of the Citadel, Tamás was diagnosed with PTSD for his time underneath the rubble. He began having nightmares about it and developed claustrophobia for that traumatic experience. With the proper medications and therapy, he was able to regain control of his life, stopped having nightmares constantly, and made some sense of his trauma. But then the Reapers invaded the Citadel and unleashed hell. What Tamás experienced permanently broke him mentally. It was one thing to hear about the atrocities committed by the Reapers and another to witness it and survive.
And without medication or therapy, Tamás suffered heavily from severe nightmares and flashbacks to hyperarousal. Recently, he found that smoking cigarettes somewhat helped control his symptoms and to cope with his traumas.

Yet, instead of moving over to Arcturus Station, they chose to remain on Earth in their hometown of Budapest. Márton wanted her children to grow up in their homeworld before deciding to leave it for the galaxy. Still, it didn't stop their curiosity for life beyond the planet—especially Tamás.

He really didn't know what to do or how to react to his feelings for his friend. But, rather than wait for a long time, he took his time and slowly gave him hints. It wasn't until three years later that Tamás confessed his love to Canlius during dinner. He didn't even have time to finish his thoughts before being kissed for the first time in his life. Both of them started dating shortly after the dinner, but they decided to take things slowly.

Even though the geth were sieging only the Presidium, C-Sec still advised civilians to seek shelter for the threat. Then, the last thing he remembered was witnessing the dreadnought's destruction followed by cheers for the crowd and then silence.

That was when he started to panic.
Upon returning home, Tamás spent the entire day trying to contact his family in Budapest, praying they were safe and sounds. But then, it became weeks without any answers. He had thought that all of them had died on Earth. Fortunately, his younger sister, Hegedüs, arrived at the Citadel upon receiving his message. But, she came with bad news: Gale, their oldest sibling, was killed in action. The news absolutely devastated him.
And when it was time for Hegedüs to leave, she offered her brother reinstatement into the Alliance and a position in her unit. However, Tamás refused and instead chose to remain in the Citadel. It didn't mean he wasn't going to help out with the war. With Canlius and other construction workers, they provided their services to build temporary housing for the influx of refugees, among other amenities (bathrooms, daycare centers, and more). There was always something to repair or build every day in one of the dozen refugee camps.
Then, out of nowhere, Cerberus stormed the Citadel and began their killing spree. Tamás and Canlius worked in one of the docking bays designated to be a refugee camp when the coup began. The C-Sec officers stationed at the local security checkpoint were unaware of the threat until it was too late. Several Cerberus soldiers took them out with ease and rounded everyone else up for identification. Tamás started to feel the sensations that he had while under the rubble. And suddenly, picking up a pistol next to a dead officer, he opened fire at the soldiers without hesitation.
By the time C-Sec reinforcements had arrived, Tamás had killed half of them before the rest of them were neutralized. Everyone called him a hero on that day, but he felt sick to his stomach for killing someone. It took a few days for him to realize that there was no going back. There was only forward. So, once the Civilian Militia was created in response to the coup attempt, Tamás, Canlius, and several of his friends joined.
Thousands of citizens joined the Citadel Civilian Militia to defend their home from invaders after The Cerberus Coup. Those civilians were split up and assigned a C-Sec officer to train them in the basics of combat and warfare. Often, citizens with military training and/or service were asked to share their knowledge with others. And while C-Sec allowed someone to use their weapons and armors, credit pools were encouraged to buy their own equipment instead of taking up C-Sec resources. In addition, the civilian militia was briefly taught about Reaper forces just as a precaution instead of necessity.
In the end, however, all of the training didn't prepare them for a sudden Reaper invasion. It didn't take long for the Citadel Civilian Militia to assemble and respond to the immediate threat. Everything was going smoothly with defense positions established and the rather inadequate Reaper force being pushed back. Then, the Citadel's arms began closing on their own. Everyone was starting to get anxious and tense while watching the darkness creaking in. And once the arms were closed entirely was when the slaughter began.
In a matter of seconds, the Citadel Civilian Militia collapsed entirely.
Tamás witnessed an asari nightmarishly transformed into a banshee and sliced his commanding officer in half. And then, husks began to pounce on individuals attempting to flee. For the first time, he had felt and seen genuine fear in his life. His body was telling him to run faster than ever before, and so he did. About everyone else was doing the same thing: running for their lives. Some chose to stand their ground, but that usually didn't last long. Eventually, Tamás found shelter to hide from the ongoing massacre with citizens and other "soldiers."

Instead, he was going to look for Canlius, assigned to one of the defense positions before hell itself arrived. In the distance, he saw the remaining resistance force getting overwhelmed by the Reapers. Tamás' heart was utterly crushed, but he kept going for his husband. Soon after, he met up with another group of citizens and volunteers; however, he stayed with them since they were heading in the same direction.
In the following days, most of the group had been killed and hunted down by the Reapers. Yet, the remaining individuals, including Tamás, were holding their position when they saw the arms slowly reopening. And what they saw was both beautiful and horrifying at the same time: Earth. But, all of them kept on fighting as a massive device connected itself to the tower. And then, minutes later, it began charging before releasing a red beam of energy. Tamás watched as that red wave made its way towards him and embraced it.
But, nothing happened to him. Tamás watched as the Reaper forces were dissolved from the battlefield entirely. He and the other survivors had no idea what happened or if the universe had just ended. Regardless, survival was the only main concern. The group made their way to C-Sec headquarters and saw the pile of bodies defending the entranceway defensives till the last person. "We've successfully taken the security room and have eyes all over the villa. Shutting down the security mechs now, will keep you updated if I see any servants heading your way."
"Understood, Key." Jorge signed to his team to move forth carefully towards the servant building. "We're making our way towards the office. See if you can help us out with the ladder access."

And while he started messing around with the wires, Jorge warned the other team. "Daezike has returned. I repeat, Daezike has returned. Download whatever's valuable and get to the shuttle. Then, when I give you a signal, come and get us fast. I have a crazy idea."
"I hope you've done a snatch and grab before." Jorge mumbled towards Sivus as the gate opened and turned to everyone else. "Alright, let's get up to the roof, and we will explain."
"Understood, Key." Jorge signed to his team to move forth carefully towards the servant building. "We're making our way towards the office. See if you can help us out with the ladder access."
But before the second team was able to assemble near the building, a shuttle flew above them and started making its way towards the landing pad. There wasn't much to say inside the shuttle. Daezike was still genuinely loyal to her boss even as his mental state vanished since the Council dismantled everything he had ever made. Fortunately, he still had power and influence. And it was up to her to ensure that Saren still had eyes in the Citadel and the pathetic Council. As soon as the shuttle landed, the security team exited out to ensure that the area was secured. Daezike rolled her eyes and quickly departed before the shuttle took off towards the garage below.
"Septidia, you and the guards are done for the day. Please leave me be and head back to the security room." Daezike ordered the head security without looking at her.
"But ma'am, we're required to-"
"I don't care. Do what I say, or you'll be back to sniffing red sand with the other low lives I've fired." Daezike didn't need to stare at her to get the message through. Chairman Xue Xuefeng spent the last half hour being debrief on the chaotic situation in Canada. Their cities were on fire over the death of their prime minister. But, in all honestly, Xue didn't have a strong opinion of the Canadian government. So, a simple statement calling for peace and order throughout the lands was written up. And that was that. Or so the State Council believed.
A well-dressed soldier approached Xue and whispered something that caught him off-guard. "Hawthorne Army Depot has been destroyed by a revolutionary terror group based in the Americas. Their demands have been published shortly after the attack."
Chairman Xue examined the piece of paper handed to him as the State Councilors stared in silence. And then, he turned to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and ordered him. "Xieren, get in contact with Premier Kosygin and request a personal meeting on my behalf. But before that, issue a statement condemning the attack and terror group. We need to be ready for the likelihood of being accused."
Tao Xieren nodded and left the room to get started. Then, the Chairman turned to the Minister of National Defense. "Have the military be on high alert and begin conducting emergency-response drills. Ensure that we are in consent communication with our allies and offer supplies and reinforcements. And ensure that the East Sea Fleet is prepared for conflict."
"What about Taiwan? Should we increase the pressure against the resistance movement on the region?" Cai Hu asked.
"Not until they give us a reason." Chairman Xue responded and then stood up. "And if that is all, I have to leave early to get ready for our guest of honor. May there be prosperity at the end of these dark days."

Uncharitable billionaires are having their own space race on the backs of their exhausted workers who don't make enough to afford rent. Record shattering heat waves, floodings, and wildfires destroying communities and lives while oil and gas executives rest comfortably. And corrupt politicians are desperately trying to maintain the idea that everything is still fine and everyone is happier than ever while the world burns on. That got me thinking. How would heroes react to our current circumstances? And my mind went to Wonder Woman. As a driving character, I would love folks to join as supporting and roaming characters if they wish to deal with political themes and topics. As for supporting characters, I am looking for someone to be Wonder Girl (preferably this version of Cassandra Sandsmark or Yara Flor) and Troia (Donna Troy but I don't want her to be Diana's sister or clone). The mushroom cloud over the C.I.T ruin marked the end of constant paranoia and sleepless nights for the people of the Commonwealth. It was finally free from the Institute's gasp and able to venture towards a brand new day. And it was all thanks to the brave men and women of the Minuteman and its leader, General Rafel Pozo. Known as the Sole Survivor, Rafel emerged from Vault 111 and bought forth change to his home. And yet, it was his encounter with Preston Garvey and the remaining survivors of the Quincy Massacre that sealed the Commonwealth's fate.
Even with the Institute gone, Boston still had its own issues that required the Minuteman's attention. And that was what they did. Diamond City, Goodneighbor, and Bunker Hill flourished with help from the General, becoming loyal to the cause. Soon enough, settlers began exploring beyond the Boston Metropolitan Area once space became limited. Cape Cod, Plymouth, and Worcester were some of the pre-war regions found to be suitable.
However, it wasn't until the cleansing of raiders from Nuka-World that secured the Minuteman's fate. General Pozo decided to expand their foothold beyond the Greater Boston region with a significant trading hub under their control. Still, there was some pushback to the idea from several well-known individuals, including Preston Garvey. Garvey and the General argued more and more for the next few years as their disputes were more challenging to regulate.

The Glowing Sea: A highly irradiated area next to Boston large enough to produce rad storms for the Commonwealth. And while the local wildlife thrived, many assumed that humans couldn't live in the sea due to the radiation. That was until the Crater of Atom was found by the Sole Survivors after his encounter with the Children of Atom. After the encounter, it was assumed that the religious cult would've left the rest of the Commonwealth alone. But, unfortunately, they were utterly wrong in their assumption.
A House Divided: The division between General Rafel Pozo and Preston Garvey was planted after the Institute's destruction. And since then, that division had grown with each decision questioned by the General's old friend. People of the Commonwealth are increasingly worried that it'll eventually lead to violence, which would impact the Minuteman for the worst. But, for now, they hope that the CPG's formation will lead to the harmony of both men.
The New Nation: The previous attempt to form the Commonwealth Provisional Government led to a bloody massacre at the hands of the Institute. And even with them gone, people were still hesitant to the idea for years. But, it was General Rafel Pozo that took the dramatic step and organized a meeting with the major settlements at neutral grounds. After days of negotiations, the CPG was founded, and representatives were appointed shortly after. Thus, a new nation was born.

But when he couldn't save his lover, Gwen Stacy, after being used as bait, something unexpected happened to the symbiote. The symbiote was beginning to experience every emotion that both Spider-Man and Peter Parker have ever felt. And it became overwhelmed for the first time ever, causing him to sever the bond. Upon escaping to a relatively quiet church, the Klyntar stubborn upon a broken man seeking forgiveness. Edward Brock had lost his admirable job and was disowned by his father. He planned on committing suicide after he visited the church. But, the symbiote sensed his hatred towards Spider-Man and pain for losing everything meaningful in his life. That was the night that Venom was born. And for four years, Venom terrorized Spider-Man and Peter Parker throughout New York City. It was always the same story: someone close to their mortal enemy gets hurt, Spider-Man shows up and fights Venom. And it always ended the same with Spider-Man coming out on top while Venom got locked up in prison only to escape to repeat the story again. But then, 2018 came and forever changed both Eddie and the symbiote. A completely different symbiote bonded with a known serial killer, Cletus Kasadym, and became Carnage as they began a rampage through Manhattan, killing hundreds of innocents. Upon learning of the murders, Venom met up with the killer in an attempt to neutralize them. But, Carnage saw through the lies and quickly overwhelmed them while learning about Anne Weying. Venom tried to save their only friend from a monster, but it was already too late. With no other options and a determination to get revenge, Venom sought help from their mortal enemy: Spider-Man. So, the two of them worked together to track down Carnage leading them to the North Brother Island. That was when Venom abruptly betrayed Spider-Man and allowing Carnage to kill them in exchange for a truce. But, then, something strange happened. The symbiote started to re-experience the same emotions that they felt four years ago. But, it emphasized Peter's memories of Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy—the good and the bad. Eddie, still bonded with the symbiote, also experienced everything and made him sympathize with his swore enemy. Upon learning that their pain was identical, Venom surprised Spider-Man by tackling Carnage and causing them to fall into the fire below. Unsurprisingly, everyone thought that both Venom and Carnage died on that night. But it wasn't the end of their story. Venom found themselves washed up on the shores of Massachusetts. And instead of returning to New York, Eddie and the symbiote chose to remain dead to focus on themselves. That was what they did for two years. Then, an evening news segment on a string of bizarre murders caught their attention. Afraid that Carnage was back in action and seeking revenge against Spider-Man, Eddie and the symbiote made the decision to return to New York City. Not as the infamous Venom but as Agent Venom. INTERRUPTED PT. 1
In all honestly, it wasn't at all surprising that some tomfoolery was taking place in New York City. Eddie was more annoyed than anything at this inconvenience because it meant that Carnage went into hiding. He wasn't stupid enough to stand around while the city was under attack (which was surprising). Eddie witnessed as portals began opening up throughout the city and unleashing chaos upon the citizens. A lot of them were making their way to the subway systems for shelter. And he considered joining them... until the voice inside his head called him out.
Well, it was more symbiote than a voice.
"Your thoughts are that of a chicken, Eddie. I expected better out of you."
"You know we're technically criminals, right?" Eddie remarked with an attitude and began following the panicked crowd. "I don't feel like eating shitty prison meals and sleeping in their awful mattress."

Plane Description
Athein was a challenging experience for the evodine population that came through the rift. Unlike their native lands, this plane of existence provided constant heavy rainfall and flooding year-round with overcast conditions. The swamp and marsh wetlands initially made farming near impossible until the invention of floating gardens. In addition, wildlife was comprised of creatures and plants completely foreign to evodines including mooses, snakes, ash trees, and poisonous lilies. But there were two creatures that provided to be combative. Known for its powerful jaw and loud snapping sound, the giant tortoise possessed aggressive territorial behaviors and attacked anything inside their territory especially evodines. And the swamp dragon wasn't as hostile despite its appearance but still considered a threatening predator willing to eat anything including both evodines and giant tortoises.
Despite its difficulties and challenges, Athein was quite captivating and colorful in spite of the overcast conditions. But, this plane allowed the evodines to thrive like never before in their existence on Gaia.

History
Upon the exodus for Gaia during the Cataclysm, the surviving evodines found themselves vulnerable to the wilderness of the strange new world. Within the first decade, the population rapidly plunged for a variety of reasons that came to be known as the Decade of Misery. But eventually, with profound inventions and strong willpower, the population recovered at the end of the century. It didn't experience growth until the start of the third century due to the harsh conditions on Athein making the average evodine's life challenging. By the fifth century, the population was close to nine hundred thousand with a number of cities and villages spread throughout Athein. And in the ruins of a forsaken city, a long-forgotten relic slowly starts flickering endlessly.
Culture and Society
Evodines lived in tight-knit communities as a means of survival for the harsh world of Athein. They also live close to each other to maintain barters and trades with other nearby communities. Merchants were well-paid for their services due to traversing in such dangerous circumstances and resided expensively. With their recent leverage in politics, the maritime republic was filled predominantly with current and retired merchants. And it helped tremendously that most of them were more than able to take flight. In fact, Evodines with functioning wings were privileged and possessed a sense of entitlement than those flightless in society. It didn't help that they were looked down upon and ridiculed by those that can fly.
For the evodines that were flightless or weren't merchants, their lives were a daily struggle for survival against the wilderness and the weather. Unlike their counterpart, they were compassionate and hardworking due to their formidable situation. And when it came to their families (blood or bond), it was amplified threefold with events that lasted for days with the entire neighborhood. Still, they were envious of the envious capable of flight and dreamed of taking to the cloudy skies. The resentment was bad enough that parents were openly resentful of their own children if they were able to fly. Those children often found themselves scoffed at by their community for the rest of their lives unless they moved away.
It was a similar problem within airworthy communities with children being flightless, but it was more hostile and callous.

Maritime Republic was only a recent development for the people of Athein that got its origins after exploration of the sea began. Several merchant families dominated the economy, society, and politics of Athein thanks to their coin. But nearly all of them never engaged in the political scene personally and instead sponsored politicians and government officials acting in their favor. There was still plenty that couldn't be bought out easily with coin and required additional incentives to ensure cooperation.
Technology and Magic
Athein, unlike Gaia, was never filled with magical energy that allowed spells to be performed. Of course, there were attempts to activate the mystical energy but none of them were successful. Theories emerged that the lack of constant sunlight was to blame for the absence of magic, while others thought the creatures of Athein were responsible. Regardless of who's at fault, magical energy will remind a story element for children to get excited about. Technology, on the other hand, advanced since the invention of floating gardens thanks to the evodine spirit. Stilt villages, levees, and land reclamation made conditions for the inhabitants better than ever before. The recent invention of canals gave birth to the golden age of sail since it allowed exploration into the surrounding sea.
Military Overview
Being isolated from any other intelligent lifeform made the idea of an army pointless. But, with the wildlife of Athein vicious, militias were established across several communities. Some militias represented several villages and frequently patrolled there while others focused on only one location. And as for the quality of training and supplies, it entirely depended on the amount of coin spent by the local administration.

The Castle was busy as per usual, with patrols of Minutemen coming in and out of the fortress. There weren't many civilians within its walls besides traders and the average rookie looking to join the militia. But the headquarters was still filled with men and women awaiting their assignments from Radio Freedom. It had seen numerous improvements since its days as a lone communication network built in the middle of the Castle. Within the tunnels, once left abandoned after the mirelurk attack, was the new location of the radio station.
Franklin Hamilton, the voice behind the radio station, had the responsibility of relaying assignments and orders to the soldiers. Plenty of people, including his family and lover, though it was an honor to have the position. Truth be told, it was more of a headache than anything else. The last four years were the most stressful in his life due to the pressure from everyone.

And then, a megafire within the heart of South America was the final nail in the coffin for the Amazon Rainforest, jump-starting its desertification. An emergency climate summit was held in Geneva while more than half of Bangladesh was underwater for a record-breaking monsoon season. But, just like all of the other summits in the past, it did nothing to address the elephant in the room. It was also the last climate summit held.

One billion people were displaced from their homes and became climate refugees overnight during the decade. So when the planet surpassed the tipping point, the full might of climate change came crashing down upon the Gulf Coast of the United States with the world's first Category 6 hurricane. But, it was only the beginning. The drought in the Western and Midwestern United States only worsen to the point that dust storms made a return to the region since the 1991 dust storm in the San Joaquin Valley. Wildfires intensified and brought forth destruction to several communities across the West Coast of North America.
Record-breaking rainfall was also common across the continent, but a number of communities were severely affected. British Columbia suffered the worst as an unprecedented storm brought forth devastating floodings and mudslides (due to the destruction from the wildfires). Highways and roads were washed out as communities were left stranded for days. Metro Vancouver saw its road and rail connections cut off from civilization. And thousands were left displaced as their homes were destroyed by the heavy rains.
Down in the southern part, the increase in temperatures led to both water and food insecurity for people in Mexico. The irrigated lands were proven too difficult to maintain with the constant dust storms and the ongoing water crisis. While the rising sea levels in the Caribbean countries caused thousands of their citizens to be displaced, forcing them to seek better opportunities elsewhere. And in Central America, the climate crisis led to a mass migration unlike anything in recent history with millions seeking refuge up north.

It also meant that it had to deal with nearly every effect of climate change. For instance, experts are signaling a brutal summer with blistering heat waves and record-breaking temperatures across several regions. Both the Middle East and South Asia, in particular, will experience the worst effects of the approaching summer with more vicious heat waves becoming common within the decade. And in Europe, it's expected that the summer of 2030 will be hotter than the summer of 2003 with Western Europe being affected the hardest.
Central Europe, the Low Countries, and East Asia already dealt with rising sea levels and destructive flooding for decades. It will only get worst as coastal communities in these regions anticipate routine flooding and further sinking into the sea. In recent decades, the viciousness of climate change struck the continent the hardest. Drier conditions and the lack of rainfall led to a catastrophic drought, negatively affecting food and water security. But it was our planet surpassing the tipping point that made the drought worst. The agricultural sector, in particular, was hit hard with damages and losses to its crops that led to economic loss to farmers. And with the food insecurity, food prices went up to record levels and left millions starving.
Water scarcity in Africa reached dangerously high levels a few weeks after the climate summit of 2028. It immediately triggered water crises in several cities throughout the continent. The first city to reach "Day Zero" (the day that the water level that supplied the city reached below a certain percentage) and officially ran out of water was Cape Town. The cause of the crisis was the failure of the government to prepare for the eventuality, which happened in the midst of an ongoing drought in the region. Months later, the crisis was contained with international assistance and aid; but, thousands died to dehydration and injuries sustained from stampedes that broke out during water distributions and protests that turned deadly.
Despite emitting the lowest levels of greenhouse gases, the continent is starting to crack under the pressure of climate change. The rising seas are also affecting West Africa and Madagascar primarily more than the rest of the continent. Cities, like Benin and Côte d’Ivoire, are already experiencing record flooding and landslides. Emerson cherished his mother singing "Schlafe, mein Prinzchen, schlaf’ ein" even when her voice was not quite captivating. When he asked about it out of the blue, she told him that it was a prominent lullaby used throughout the German Empire during the Great War gifted by her dying grandmother, who encouraged her to flee to America as their home country was beginning to unravel. Even after Emerson got older, his mother still hummed the lullaby while preoccupied with chores around the house. It also bought her solace during the months of uncertainty in the wake of the failed coup in the nation's capital.
And now, the lullaby was etched into Emerson's oblivion.

Gradually waking up from his unanticipated slumber, Emerson noticed his hands were bound against a metal pole of a large shelf. His attempts of breaking free only hurt with the rope rubbing against his skin. It wasn't that complicated to believe that the "kind" cashier did this to him. And considering that he came on to her too strong with the question, Emerson didn't hold any grudge against the cashier for protecting her brother—which seemed significant enough to harm someone. Suddenly, he heard the storefront door opening followed by an argument between two people. One of the voices was clearly the cashier's as the other was entirely unfamiliar to Emerson.
And then, in front of Emerson, the door slowly opened to reveal a much younger man still in his work uniform. It was clear the fellow worked for the nearby mining company since coal dust coated his uniform from head to toe.

Emerson cherished his mother singing "Schlafe, mein Prinzchen, schlaf’ ein" even when her voice was not quite captivating. When he asked about it out of the blue, she told him that it was a prominent lullaby used throughout the German Empire during the Great War gifted by her dying grandmother, who encouraged her to flee to America as their home country was beginning to unravel. Even after Emerson got older, his mother still hummed the lullaby while preoccupied with chores around the house. It also bought her solace during the months of uncertainty in the wake of the failed coup in the nation's capital.
And now, the lullaby was etched into Emerson's oblivion.
"...Luna mit silbernem Schein
gucket zum Fenster herein,
schlafe bei silbernem Schein,
schlafe, mein Prinzchen, schlaf ein,
schlaf ein, schlaf ein!"
Gradually waking up from his unanticipated slumber, Emerson noticed his hands were bound against a metal pole of a large shelf. His attempts of breaking free only hurt with the rope rubbing against his skin. It wasn't that complicated to believe that the "kind" cashier did this to him. And considering that he came on to her too strong with the question, Emerson didn't hold any grudge against the cashier for protecting her brother—which seemed significant enough to harm someone. Suddenly, he heard the storefront door opening followed by an argument between two people. One of the voices was clearly the cashier's as the other was entirely unfamiliar to Emerson.
And then, in front of Emerson, the door slowly opened to reveal a much younger man still in his work uniform. It was clear the fellow worked for the nearby mining company since coal dust coated his uniform from head to toe.

The world's forgotten victims of the ever-growing threat of climate change were always forced to rebuild on their own. But the idea of branding together truly never stuck on until the beginning of the 2030s. The total collapse of the global market, along with the changing climate, led to millions being displaced from their home country. Approximately one billion were climate refugees and lacked the proper representation. So, in 2032, the International Refugee Coalition was founded and began assisting the refugees.
Shortly after the foundation, the IRC began buying off decommissioned ships from various countries that tried to maintain their economies. Container ships, cruise ships, fishing vessels, and tender vessels were common purchases made with the banking accounts of refugees (the ones that willingly volunteered). But they weren't the only types of ships brought. A year later, the decommissioned USS Freedom and HMS Severn became the first naval ships under IRC ownership. And then, they made their biggest purchase with the INS Rajput for four billion US dollars.
Eventually, the world started to find stability towards the end of the decade thanks to advancements in green technology. And naturally, as countries (new and old) began rebuilding, a very important question was brought up: should we exercise our right of return or truly unite under a global, non-national identity? As the new decade came along, the question remained unanswered while the nations of the world eagerly awaited for one.
