RIP, a Shiny H. Basculion spawned, but the in-game light shining on the icy water blinded me and I couldn't find it before it despawned....

This is why you turn of autosave, and manual save as soon as you hear the shiny jingle. I think I've caught about 4/5 shinies in Legends alone.

I turned autosave off a long time ago. I was excited and moved before hard saving,

I basically nature Hunt in my game, but I've preferred playing it without the auto save for a quite now. It's a good thing don't get me wrong but I prefer traditional play.

I only caught one outside of the shiny Ponyta from the sidequest and it was a Zubat.

Not a bad one. I remember a funny story involving Shiny Zubat. the sib and a friend of ours, and I were all sitting around playing Pokémon talking about how we never got any shinies, the sib then found a competitive shiny Zubat in the wild.

Gen-IX just announced with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on the horizon. The starters are Sprigatito the Grass Cat, Fuecoco the Fire Croc, and Quaxly the Duckling Pokémon. It will be an open-world game more like Breath of the Wild than Legends: Arceus and the region will be based on Spain.

They deviated from the Fire starter theme with this one; although I'm warming up to Sprigatito—it's so adorable.

EDIT: I was wrong—we have the snake next generation.

I'm excited for it. I really like Fuecoco. Some are saying it's based on Italy though. Definitely Mediterranean.

I kind of disagree for this reason: Fuecoco is based in part on the Spanish word for fire: fuego.

I can't wait. I wish they would have said something about Pokémon Sleep. If it's been canceled, I wish they would just say so. Side note: I feel Hell froze over tonight. Leaving work, some guy ran a red light and there was not one, but two cop cars right there behind him. Cops are never there when someone runs a red light where I am. Also also, I'm only missing three Pokémon to complete the Legends dex ^_^

I'm predicting the gen IX starters to be Water/Fly, Grass/Fight, and Fire/Rock. If I had to choose right now, I'd take Quaxley. But my final choice will come when we have more credible news, if not flat on confirmation of the final forms.

I also agree with the Fire/Rock prediction. I'm kinda hoping for something like Leviamon, but with rocky crags instead of the blue fins and fringes, and flames from the nostrils, instead of steam/smoke. Obviously done in Pokemon's cuter art style.

Given their propensity for Fire starter final evolutions to be bipedal (or in Typhlosion's case semi-bipedal), I don't think they'd go that direction. Given that they're going for the snake this generation, we're probably looking at a fiery naga.

Actually, a lot of people are saying the Zodiac thing has been disproven, since it's a crocodile, not a snake. Also, it looks a lot like a stuffed pepper dish served in the region. Though some are going out on a limb and saying it'll be the Ox because a male croc is called a bull, and a female croc is called a cow.

Could be, but it wasn't the only anomaly to the Zodiac theory—the "Rat" started out as an echidna before becoming a stoat and then a honey badger. Nothing murine in any of them apart from the first's Pokédex classification.

And then there's Fennikin, which is a fox, not a dog.

Same family though—both foxes and dogs (subspecies of the wolf) are in the Canidae family.

I finally got a shiny Alpha (Infernape) while investigating a Massive Mass Outbreak. During the same MMO I got my second Shiny Luxio. which I had a Shiny Luxray before I found the first one.
