Hi there! I’m running a roleplay called Rise of the New Heroes. We have a small but cool group of people ( @Rekker @threetoads and @Medili ) and we’re looking for new writers to join our group!

This roleplay is about a new set of rookie heroes and their struggles to fight evil and grow. These aren’t heroes that have mastered their powers; these are inexperienced people who have and will face real stakes in their journeys as super heroes.

The short version of the plot so far is that a virus killed all of the people with superpowers; that is until a week ago, when a meteor struck, and (coincidentally or not) some people got super powers. Then those people came together to stop a notorious (and super racist) supervillain who should have been dead because of the virus. Now they’re in the hospital, recovering and getting to know one another.

cool, I have not got a chance to look at the IC posts yet, not sure if there is anything I would need to know to begin with. But I did look through the rules, especially the electric pokemon one, and I want some clarification on healing powers.

Is that a ban on being able to heal others or does it also include self healing via enhanced regeneration or whatever? I have a character in mind that has a general improved regeneration as a sort of minor power/side effect of her main ability. Not so extreme as to be hard to kill but to the point where a nasty fall means hobbling for a few days as opposed to a few weeks.

I'll need to rework her a bit before i submit a CS as she was made for a different RP that never even started and I have been recently looking for a place to use her. Especially as she would have a lot of capability to her for a 'inexperienced' hero, but I do like the idea of writing someone growing into their powers.

@Lurking Shadow the way you have the regeneration set up could be reasonable on the surface, but I suppose it would depend on how it integrates with her powers as a whole. Does that make sense? Besides plot reasons, the reason behind "no healers" is so someone can't just heal their way out of any conflict, so that's something to keep in mind (I did see you said it didn't make her hard to kill, so I could just be being redundant).

The scope of her powers as I originally wrote is a little extensive and complicated for an up and coming hero so did not want to discuss it specifically without knowing how exactly I would want to go about it and if it was allowed or not, but it would pretty much only be effective out of combat or other stressful situations. I'm at work atm, but I'll message you directly later to go fully in depth about it and see if we can find a good way to figure out what she can and cant do from the start. There are two main powers she has that go hand in hand and I am undecided on which she would kind of know and which she might have to develop later.

@Clever Hans I saw your like, so I wanted to let you know that the RP is on hiatus. You can submit a CS if you'd like, but idk when or if we'll be able to resume the RP.
