Greetings! Here to pitch another concept o' mine, and see where it lands. The Wards is an RP set in a similar, but different, setting to the Worm series; if you haven't checked it out, I highly recommend it, though it does get rather dark. It also won't be a requirement for participation, though knowing some things about it might help in the long run.
Our story takes place in the coast-side fictional city of Redline, right on the southern edge of Maine. Bearing a rich (...for better or worse) history with Capes (a common term for superpowered individuals), Redline has been dealing with heroes, villains, and everything in between for the better, or worse, depending on perspective, of the past 100-ish years when powers began emerging. But now, things are changing. Pieces are moving into place, and there'll need to be a response. But there are only so many heroes....Thus, The Guardians, the premiere Cape team of the United States (and Canada), alongside the Parahuman Response Team, an organization founded to protect when heroes cannot be found, have set something into place; The Wards Initiative.
With the Director of Redline's PRT acting as the lead in this initiative, they intend to take in youths anywhere from Middle to High School with powers, and try to get them to be the heroes they can....Hopefully be.
Beyond that, yeah, I'll say it; while you can guess between my mention of 'Grimdark', as well as this being marked 18+ and Horror....On some occasions, shit's gonna hit the fan, for lack of better term, and it won't be pretty. This RP probably isn't gonna be for the faint of heart, and our little kid heroes here aren't always gonna walk out of every situation 100%. But I can probably guarantee it won't be as grim as its source material lol.
