i am no bitch but my character will be! someone else i think will also be making a female character but i dont want to assume

Looking good, just a few things. The OC you used is very cool, but would you have any real world representations for your character you could use in place? I’d also suggest using a power aesthetic photo in place of the room, but hyperlinking the room somewhere else on the sheet, such as the life at Ritman section.
▼ PERSONAL DETAILS ► Age - Twenty-five ► Gender - Male ► Sexuality - Homosexual ► Nickname - The Black Lamb ► Occupation - Office receptionist ► Qualifications - Problem-solver & eager ► Residence - Boston, Massachusetts ▼ PHYSICALITY ► Scars - Scars (some faded) on the right wrist for a ruler used by his parent as a form of punishment. ► Tattoos - Compass tattoo on right chest. ► Piercings - N/A ► Style - Androgynous. Maintains his hair short and natural color. Often wears jackets and long sleeves whenever out in public. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ | LIFE AT RITMAN Growing up as the youngest of two siblings that attended the same high school and excelled forced the spotlight onto a young Lucas Watson. Teachers were more than eager to teach the youngest child of a prestige family—hell, even some of the students were intrigued. He was under a lot of pressure from his school and home life for two years with no healthy way to cope with the stress. It was a recipe for disaster that came to a head in the tenth grade. That was when Lucas Watson failed all of his AP classes in quick succession. And overnight, he became the black sheep to the teachers and students of Ritman High and a disgrace to his family and residents of Delton. Being the disappointment in the town and his family caused Lucas to isolate from the outside world. He became increasingly unconcerned about high school as he received average grades and often ditched classes to take smoking breaks. Then, towards summer break of the same year, rumors of his sexuality started spreading after some of the students found his dating profile on a popular gay dating app. His religious parents were furious and sent him away to a religious camp for that summer. Of course, that "vacation" did not help at all. On the contrary, it made Lucas more depressed and anxious than ever before. During senior year another rumor quickly spread across the school to make matters worse. "Lucas Watson is a school shooter in the making" was one of the messages shared on social media. Of course, it didn't help that Lucas began wearing long sleeves and jackets to school every day regardless of the weather. And his disregard for his wellbeing (tired eyes, cigarette smell, etc.) caused the school to interfere by having a police officer escort him to the principal's office. However, the school offered him free counseling for the remaining senior year instead of being punished. Lucas accepted their offer and found it to be surprisingly valuable despite his parents being against the idea. Regardless, the counseling made such that Lucas received his diploma along with his fellow classmates. After graduation, many students and teachers assumed that Lucas would remain in Delton with his parents. That all changed when he was last seen standing alone at the bus station with a suitcase in one hand and another holding an envelope—emotionless. He departed for Massachusetts, and nobody heard from him until his sudden arrival in town years later for the class reunion event. PSYCHE Despite being a target of ridicule for fellow students, Lucas always liked being around people and wanted to have an active social life. He considered some to be friends before he isolated himself in the tenth grade. Being a loner in his school and home was already hard enough on a teenage boy dealing with hormones. Counseling was a huge help to someone like Lucas, whose well-being significantly improved during senior year. Being kicked out and leaving Delton temporarily worsened his mental state. But, Boston was what he needed to truly be his better self with a stable work environment and a welcoming climate. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔One significant problem Lucas still struggled with was his clinginess on relationships—romantically and platonically. He rarely received genuine attention and love from others, resulting in him clutching onto moments whenever he did. Moving out of Delton and seeing a therapist certainly addressed the clinginess but did not outright resolve it. Yet, it also highlighted another issue. Lucas became afraid of opening up, given how much emotional baggage there was to unwrap upon his friends and significant other. He wanted to resolve it for good, and going back to Delton was the only option on the table supported by his therapist. |
POWER Shapeshifting is thought to be nothing more than fiction—used as a literary device for books and superhero movies. That was until Lucas inherited such supernatural ability. However, his power isn't precisely shapeshifting and instead a form known as metamorphosis or metamorph for short. It means that the subject can alter one's own physical appearance to match another with ease, much like Camilo Madrigal, Mystique, and Double Trouble to name a few metamorphers. And like them, Lucas can also mimic a person's voice, appearance, and personality to near perfection. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔But it all comes at a cost. Every usage of said powers is slowly but surely, purging the mind and its memories. The outcome will be a total cleanse of Lucas Watson and his personality replaced by a husk waiting to shift into the next person or worst. And all of this will occur without Lucas' knowledge or if he were to discover the fatal flaw, treatment. The world might witness the possible next evolutionary step for humanity or something else entirely unexplainable. | - ▼ STRENGTHS ► Lucas's powers grant him the ability to impersonate someone to perfection upon cogitation. As a result, he can easily shift into any gender, age, and appearance with ease. ► In addition, Lucas can easily mimic a person's personality, manners, speech, and expressions without much doubt upon unsuspected individuals. ► Lucas can also transfer into any clothing, tattoo, piercing, and scaring instantly. ▼ WEAKNESSES ► Lucas' powers do not grant him the target's powers, nor does his shapeshifted appearance last more than a week. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔► In addition, Lucas' form will disintegrate whenever he's unconscious, turning back to his original self. Subsequently, he can get overwhelmed if he's focused on multiple people. ► Usage of said powers can result in Lucas' skin turning into a bluish-gray color. Any more use will eventually lead to his mind being erased. |
▼ PERSONAL DETAILS ► Age - Twenty-five ► Gender - Cis-male ► Sexuality - Heterosexual ► Nickname - Ben, Mr. Moore ► Occupation - Floormanager of security at a club ► Qualifications - Ritman Highschool diploma ► Residence - Portland, MA ▼ PHYSICALITY ► Scars - Small, barely noticeable scars on the face. Larger scars over his body -- none too interesting or remarkable besides their quantity. His nose is noticeably bent in the middle; broken at one point. ► Tattoos - N/A ► Piercings - N/A ► Style - Benjamin leans towards black clothing, such as black t-shirts, sweaters and turtlenecks, black dress pants and/or jeans, and smart-casual styles of shoes. He wears a variety of jackets, but the most common is a black felt jacket with a high collar. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ | LIFE AT RITMAN Benjamin's reputation was that of an average guy; he came to school, hung out with his own friend group, and mostly stuck to those he knew. He avoided the limelight, in a casual type of way, without making a target of himself. For this reason, he was probably not very memorable; just another kid in school. There were occasional rumors that Benjamin's father was some important guy to the nightlife in Portland, and when asked about it, Benjamin always replied that his father was someone who took care of the trash. Most people took this to mean that he was a bouncer or something to that effect. The truth was always deceiving. Academically, the description that best fit Benjamin was ''uninterested.'' He was not an under- or overachiever, but nobody in his home life ever really expected him to be. They merely expected him to get through the school program with as few hiccups as possible, and not much more. To his peers, this likely translated as him just sort of being there; he wasn't dumb or smart, but somewhere firmly in the middle, and he didn't participate when he didn't have to. He also didn't fit the jock stereotype -- sports didn't interest him nor did the social community surrounding it. Attending a high school football game was an outing for him to be with his friends and get up to some minor trouble -- not a way to show off his athletic prowess or interest. PSYCHE Benjamin is a generally hard-to-know person. He is stand-offish, and is quick to throw up a wall around himself while masquerading as someone who is ''just introverted.'' He carries himself professionally, and is very precise in his social interactions; it is easy to see that he picks his words deliberately and carefully. That is not to say he is incapable of explosions; more so that when it matters, he has the control not to explode. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔His personality has most definitely ''cost'' him. In professional circles, especially with his true profession, it has helped him. Socially, however, he has few friends besides those that remained with him after high school or the associates of his father. But on a personal level it has affected his mental status greatly; he is isolated and removed from most social forms of contact. His true profession has him sworn to secrecy and his status as the son of a somewhat important criminal figure in Portland has left him in the shadow of a giant, the expectation being that one day he takes over from his father of course. His lack of friendships or personal relationships have worsened his existing anti-social behaviors, which provides a direct antithesis to his incredible desire for social contacts. |
POWER Benjamin possesses the power of indoctrination. Those who are near him will find themselves inexplicably attracted to Benjamin (platonically) and begin to see him as a great person, someone who is incapable of doing evil or bad things. They begin to like him more as a person, and want to spend more time with him. The longer they spend with him, the more prone they become to his suggestion, eventually to the point where anything he says is taken as a fact no matter what. He could tell someone that the sky is green and the grass is purple, and they'd not only believe it, but preach it to others, and get a negative view of those who go against this new wisdom. There's no physical manifestation of this power nor is this something that is controlled. It simply happens passively, with or without Benjamin's wishes for it to be so. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔It could easily be argued that this power is a direct manifestation of Benjamin's desire for friendships and social contacts, let alone people that agree with his every word and want nothing more than to spend eternity with him. How or why this power manifested like this is a mystery to everyone, including Benjamin. In a way, even the lack of control he has over the power is easily attributed to the lack of control he feels in his own life; nobody ever asked him what he wanted to do, they all just assumed he'd follow in his fathers footsteps. All he needed was the power to do so. And with this new power, surely he'll dwarf his fathers footsteps. | - ▼ STRENGTHS ► The indoctrination is very hard to notice until it's too late; indoctrinated people do not behave any different from normal aside from a very sudden approval of Benjamin. ► Given enough time and proximity, the effects can be very strong. A cashier at a store he visits just once will probably not feel the effects strong enough to change her behavior much more than offering him a smile where they're otherwise grim. But someone who spends long times close to Benjamin would, in a literal sense, die for him. ► The ability to indirectly steer people's behaviors is not the same as mind control; where mind control overrides the victim's will with that of the user and requires direct control, indoctrination takes a more subtle approach that allows the user to utilize the victim's strengths, knowledge and personality. They are still able to act independently and make their own informed choices. ▼ WEAKNESSES ► Not everyone can be indoctrinated. Those with a strong enough mental resistance are able to resist the indoctrination completely. Should this ever change and their resistance weakens, they may begin to feel the effects, of course, but the inverse applies as well. Furthermore, long(er) periods of being away from Benjamin will also slowly wear down the effects of indoctrination, and leave the victims confused (but cognizant) on the situation. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔► The fact that indoctrination is not the same as mind control means that the indoctrinated people are not thralls; they retain a modicum of free will and while the power of suggestion is very strong in the late stages of indoctrination, it is merely limited to suggestion/orders and not direct control. ► The power is very subtle and passive, and as a result cannot be summoned at will to help in a situation. The fact that the power does not grant the user any specific powers himself also means that, in certain scenario's, he may be left defenseless. |

▼ PERSONAL DETAILS ► Age - Twenty-four ► Gender - Female ► Sexuality - Bisexual ► Nickname - N/A ► Occupation - History teacher ► Qualifications - Graduate of Ritman High, Degree in Modern History, University of Maine ► Residence - Orono, Maine ▼ PHYSICALITY ► Scars - None ► Tattoos - A tattoo of a butterfly with teal wings on her wrist. ► Piercings - None ► Style - Jenna’s style of dress could best be described as coarse - more often than not, outside of work she is mistaken for a ‘rocker chick’, not that she bemoans the comparison. She doesn’t put much care into her attire on most occasions, reusing the same clothes often and investing in them for longevity over style. She owns a handful of jackets that she wears for casual outings, as well as a few pairs of durable boots. She doesn’t shop for new clothes often, citing the act as a waste of time, and while her choice of clothing itself is striking, her dark and drab palette blends her into the background well enough on most occasions. That said, she will cling fiercely to the sense of identity her clothing brings her when prompted to change it, and reacts with annoyance at best when it is commented negatively upon. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ | LIFE AT RITMAN For reasons left unbeknownst to most, if not all, Jenna was a notoriously average student during her tenure at Ritman. This, however, was not what earned her notoriety; Jenna had shown herself, repeatedly, to be one of the most intelligent students in Ritman’s roster, with moments of insight and her talent for essay writing in particular indicating that her acumen was not the issue - rather, she struggled to apply herself in any meaningful way, resulting in grades that could best be described as adequate. Outside of academia, Jenna’s time at Ritman came off to an outside observer as dispirited - as was the running pattern for her, Jenna made little effort to establish connections outside of ones that she, in a sense, stumbled into inadvertently. She held her friendships, and was generally left alone for the most part by the more unsavoury characters thanks, in part, to her notable talent for blending into the background. Very rarely was she seen outside school, electing instead to go home as soon as she was able on most days and only participating in group outings when actively hassled into conceding. However, Jenna’s name was not entirely absent from Ritman’s grapevines - she found herself the talk of the town for a week or two after a physical altercation with another student. When prompted to explain her actions, having been labelled the aggressor by all witnesses and not denying the fact herself, Jenna was extremely matter-of-fact in her explanation. According to her, the student she attacked had spoken out of turn about her father in an attempt to ‘get a rise out of the quiet kid’. Jenna was punished accordingly and, until her graduation, appeared never to act out again. PSYCHE Jenna Morgan was raised by her father, her mother having departed from Maine altogether after a messy divorce - while Jenna never asked the details, her guess was that her mother had had an affair, and left the state to be with the new man. Her father, however, was undaunted by this, doing his best to give Jenna the happiest life that he could and becoming her primary idol. Jenna was relatively content with her lot, until her final year of middle school, just before proceeding on to Ritman. In that year, on one specific day, Jenna had woken up late - she had underslept the night before, and therefore fell right back to sleep once she’d hit the snooze button. Her father, therefore, was late for work in order to get her ready and drive her to school. In a rush, Jenna’s father hugged her goodbye and drove off to work. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Jenna never saw her father again. She was pulled out of class and informed that her father had been involved in a freak car accident on his drive to work, and had not survived the incident. Miraculously, Jenna survived middle school after this incident, proceeding on to Ritman and staying with her aunt and uncle in the meantime. This single event altered the course of Jenna’s life, as well as her fundamental perception of the world - Jenna became drastically more resigned and apathetic, plummeting from the top of her class to the middle of the pack and refusing any kind of therapy or counselling to grapple with the tragedy. She seemed to express little outward emotion surrounding the tragedy, the exception being hair-trigger anger when pressed too harshly to discuss it. This stems from Jenna’s belief of how the incident occurred. One minute detail, that being her being late for school, directly caused her father’s death. As far as she’s concerned, her father’s death is her fault entirely. She believes that control was yanked from her grasp in that moment, and has never been given back - not that she has any desire to seize it. Rather, she coasts along in life, under the impression that while she is capable of enjoying life’s little pleasures, there is no point in attempting to change the concepts in life that truly matter; she is powerless, hopeless, and any attempt to change these things will only result in further heartache. Jenna responds with anger and frustration whenever these ideals are challenged, making it extremely difficult to reason with her - most people tend to avoid the subject, even if they care deeply for her, understanding that only she can truly come to this conclusion, and attempting to guide her to understanding will only end badly. Jenna’s anger, in truth, stems from self-loathing; her anger and her apathy act as defence mechanisms, averting her eyes from her feelings of immense guilt and responsibility for her father’s death, ‘taking her hands off the wheel’ so to speak in order to never truly feel responsible for something, or someone, ever again. Her only telltale reminder of the incident is her tattoo - one of a butterfly with teal wings, tattooed on her wrist. She perceives this tattoo as a poignant reminder of the ‘butterfly effect’ and of her perceived role in her father’s death: a minor ripple, with devastating consequences. That said, whether she likes it or not, Jenna is not entirely resigned - she can be seen to be empathetic and understanding, only showing it on exceptionally rare occasions and reacting to the idea of kinship adversely across the board to compensate. She generally avoids making connections too deep, but can serve as a shoulder to cry on if need be, and appears to be wiser than she lets on - much like in academia, it seems, she holds herself back fully intentionally. |
POWER Jenna’s power, taken at face value, is the ability to manipulate the weather on a small scale. She is capable of using this power at will, and while its effects are not instant, the time it takes for the weather to change at her behest is no longer than minutes at best for the most severe weather effects. Changes in the atmosphere on a worldwide scale can be said to prompt these changes far in advance, and while Jenna is not capable of directly controlling where these weather conditions go - for example, a deluge of hail - she is capable of influencing the areas that remain unaffected, to avoid being struck by her own power. This power stems from a sort of psychic bond Jenna has developed with a species of butterflies - in this way, it could be said that Jenna’s power is not manipulating the weather, but rather, the butterflies themselves. These butterflies have translucent, iridescent wings, much like the film of bubbles, and appear to occur all across the world, although their species has been as of yet undocumented. A handful accompany Jenna wherever she goes, and she is capable of influencing them to follow her commands, even if they demonstrate their own wills - for example, Jenna typically will not force a butterfly to land on her finger, rather, she will extend her finger and the butterfly will land on it of its own volition. These butterflies possess the ability to manipulate the atmosphere in seemingly minute ways by beating their wings, which appears to be where Jenna’s capability to manipulate the weather stems from. The butterflies, however, can be killed and have no combat capabilities of their own. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ | - ▼ STRENGTHS ► Jenna’s ability to manipulate the weather is immensely versatile, with a wide diversity of applications in all situations. While she cannot precisely control the weather to the point of, for example, striking someone with lightning, she can influence weather conditions such as thunderstorms or violent hail to avoid her and her allies and focus on enemies, to a point - this is both a blessing and a curse, as Jenna’s ability is all-encompassing but imprecise. To compensate for this, Jenna is relatively experienced in hand to hand combat, having taken muay thai for a good few years as of the reunion. ►Depending on the complexity of Jenna’s desired weather effect, its manifestation can be near-instant or take a handful of minutes - for example, something as minor as conjuring a shield made of clouds can be done relatively quickly due to its simplicity, while conjuring a hailstorm would take a few minutes to manifest and ramp up to the point that it could be considered a threat. In addition, Jenna possesses a minor form of electrokinesis via static electricity, that can be used in hand to hand combat to give herself an edge if need be. ▼ WEAKNESSES ► Jenna’s ability depends entirely on the presence of her butterflies. If enough of her butterflies are killed or otherwise repelled, her abilities will cease to function properly, if at all - however, Jenna is connected in some way to the entire species, meaning that even if she is disconnected, the effect will only be temporary. ►Jenna’s power is also not instantaneous; it takes time for these abilities to manifest, as her butterflies have to consciously influence the atmosphere by beating their wings in order to alter the weather - even if she commands it, the ability’s effects take time to properly take hold. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ |
