Savannah had a fairly normal life; she was the youngest of 3 children. Loving parents, and older siblings that looked out for her growing up. Not feeling, like she was missing out on something or had the need to ask for something. Because her parents always gave, what they were able to their children. But Savannah was never selfish; she appreciated what she got growing up, and what she had. Not seeking to get more luxuries, like some children would have just because their parents could afford to do so. Her older siblings, taught her to make do with what they had. It was a philosophy that she would carry with her, throughout her life as she'd get older. From a young age, she was aware of the different stories that were told regarding soulmates. Knowing the story from her parents; as her own parents found each other at a young age as soulmates. Her older sister still hadn't found her soulmate yet, regardless of the marking. Her sister still hopeful, that she would find him. Just like their older brother had found his. But young Savannah, didn't think about it twice. She thought herself too young, to be curious about such things. Savannah had been more focused on her school and education; than the what if's that came with the soulmate situation. If fate willed her to have a soulmate, then so be it.
But things changed on her 16th birthday. To Savannah it was like any other birthday. Nothing felt oddly special about it at first. Her mother had woken her up with the smell of chocolate chip pancakes wafting through the entire house-hold. Causing the young red-haired girl to jump out of bed in excitement. Wrapping herself up in her robe, she rushed downstairs.
"Good morning, birthday girl." she got greeted with warm smiles from her siblings.
"Good Morning." Savannah chirped in her excitement. "Mhh, breakfast smells amazing." She mused, as she jumped up onto the stool in the kitchen. Watching their mother finish making breakfast. Everyone wishing her a happy birthday. The family sat down around the table, enjoying breakfast as a proper family. Each plate was filled with delicious pancakes. Everyone choosing their different toppings. Savannah opted for some fresh fruit ontop of her pancakes, along with some whipped cream. A delicious combination in her eyes. She was midway through her first pancake; when she felt the weirdest itch...against her chest. Almost like something had stabbed her with a small needle. Making her flinch with an uncomfortable way. Rubbing at the spot, where the itch was coming from. But over the next few moments; it seemed to get more intense. Everyone watched her with a concerned expression, as she run into the bathroom to examine herself. Wondering why she was itching so badly all of a sudden. Peeling back her robe and pyjama top, Savannah's eyes widened slightly in surprise. The mark had appeared on her chest. "What the... She muttered to herself, in utter shock. Somehow a little stunned, that she was destined for someone out there.
