Appearance:
Norah is tall and willowy, with long ponytailed blonde hair and grey eyes. Her hair is streaked with white at her forehead and temples. Laugh lines are around her mouth, and crinkle at the corner of her eyes. She usually wears a pink top, shorts, and sneakers that are easy to trek in.

Background: Norah’s family is one of the oldest in the Kaida region. She is the descendant of an ancient king that used to rule part of the area. Hesperus has looked to her for guidance for over 10 years now. Despite being a lady of a certain age, she is still quite active and a little bubbly. She is always happy to see new trainers in her area.

Norah is the creator of Venus Threads, a high end clothing store that has spread all throughout Kaida.

She has a daughter, Darlene, who is ready to take the Overseer position when she steps down.

Name: Kassandra Northman

Position: Overseer of Phobos Town

Gender: Female

Age: 32

Personality: Kassandra is sweet and gentle-seeming. She is the type to patrol the town with the rest of the Dragon Busters and their Pokemon, making sure everything is going smoothly. Newcomers to town usually find themselves invited to iced tea and homemade fresh baked cookies. Behind her back, some people consider her the “Mom Type.”

Those people have never seen her battle.

She is a brilliant and cunning Trainer, her Fighting Pokemon at the ready.

Appearance: Kassandra is dark skinned and full-figured, with thick white hair worn short, and orange eyes. She is usually wearing a utility skirt and a green top, with heavy hiking boots. When the town is in danger, however, you’ll find her in full Dragon Buster uniform consisting of a rich purple top and sturdy khakis. She carries a thick fighting bo with 5 Pokeballs in it. The sixth slot seems to be empty.

Background: Kassandra has been through quite a lot in her time. While she doesn’t talk about most of it, even the fact that she’s not native to the Kaida region. Those in the know will mention her being from somewhere in Kalos. She came to Kaida as a young adult chasing a dream of finding her missing father. Soon after settling in Phobos, she joined up with the Dragon Busters. It took her a long time to work her way up the ranks. By the time she was 30, she was able to unseat the current leader and take her place at the top.

Her specialization is dual type Fighting Pokemon, who will throw off unsuspecting trainers thinking that they can roll in and walk all over her with Psychic types. As soon as she steps into a Pokemon arena, her gentle nature vanishes as if it were never there. She’s not afraid to put the fear of Arceus into those who are unprepared for the harshness outside of Phobos. Indeed, her challenge has sent more trainers packing than she cares to admit, but she’d do it all over again if it meant keeping someone from the harsh wildness outside her city.

Name: Darren Steele

Position: Overseer of Terran Town

Gender: Male

Age: 36

Personality: Appearing slightly off putting at first due to his appearance, Darren is normally a very mellow person. Laid back and easygoing but at the same time always willing to lend a hand if needed, he is well liked and well respected in Terran town. He also does his best to keep the town clear of roughnecks and people who cause serious problems for the citizens of Terran Town. Usually he issues a friendly warning to keep the noise down or to settle down a bit but if the troublemaker continues causing problems and ignores their first warning, the troublemaker will usually find themselves booted out of town without knowing what hit them.

Background: Darren was born in Terran Town and for a good portion of his life didn't really see any need to leave. He made a steady income working in the mines and pretty much didn't want for anything. When he was twenty-seven however fate decided to thrown an unexpected curve ball in his direction. After a hard day in the mines, Darren was out having fun with his friends outside of town. The three of them didn't realize how far away from town they were and came across a very angry Tyranitar.

As the three friends took off, Darren found himself the target of the angry rock type Pokemon and was chased for the better part of two hours before he found himself cornered near the base of Mt. Ender. Darren was terrified and even though he had his own Pokemon with him, he found he was unwilling to send it out against the enraged Tyranitar. knowing that it wouldn't be a match for it. It was sheer luck that a traveling trainer came along and managed to drive the angry Pokemon off after a difficult battle.

Darren returned to town later that night and spent the next few days reevaluating his life. He had come close to meeting his end. And be began to wonder, what would have happened if that Tyranitar had followed him to town? What would have happened to his friends in the town? Would the entire town had been destroyed? It was at that moment that Darren decided that his town needed someone to watch over the area. The current Overseer of Terran Town, an older gentleman was looking for someone to take his place so he could retire in peace to the Johto region. But first he wanted to find a worthy replacement.

He focused all of his energy onto his new goal. For weeks, day and night he studied the different types of Pokemon and their weaknesses, he went out and caught a few different Pokemon for his own team so he could challenge his town's Overseer and he trained like there was no tomorrow. It took nearly a year and a half but finally, he felt confident he could take on the Overseer. It was a difficult battle that shook the town but Darren emerged victorious and proudly took his place as the Overseer of Terran town.

Name: Valerian Sergio
Gender: Male
Age: 22

Appearance: Valerian is a man of taller, spindly stature. He stands at around 6'2 with a wiry frame that makes him seem even taller than he actually is. He is almost always seen in the same style of uniform, regardless of the weather or climate that he's currently in, which usually consists of a more formal kind of clothing. He usually carries a somber, stern look on his face, as if he were perpetually present at an annoying business meeting that he'd rather not be in, though an observant eye can see him soften up when around his now sizable partner in crime.



Background:
Valerian was born in the bustling Zhivegas city to parents who were workers in the regional power plant. Even from a young age, he was used to them coming back home late or sometimes not at all, and was often alone by himself. This changed when their parents found a wild Aron on the worksite and was able to corral it away from the expensive equipment and into a safer location. When the question was raised on what would be done with the stray pokemon, his father came to the conclusion that the lonely Val could use a friend. And so it was that it was brought home and a lasting bond was formed

The two were partners in crime from the get-go, having bonded almost instantly. It turns out that both had little regard for authority and Val would often skip school and sneak to the arcade, or rely on his partner to smash into slot machines to make the cash fall loose so that they could go and buy food and games together. They had happy days together, even if the activities they were doing were somewhat immoral and definitely not advisory.

Things changed for his family when his mother suffered a severe injury at the power plant, and was unable to continue working. His father had to pick up the hours and he saw how disastrously things had become for his family. When Val decided that he would help remedy his families financial ailments by upping the scale of his petty theft, his family began to ask questions about where this money was coming from, and how he'd gotten it. Eventually, he ran out of excuses and his father was livid when he found out. The two had a big falling out, perhaps made worse by the ever more stressful days of work and he decided to leave home. And although he was lonelier, he still had his best friend by his side.

It was around this time that he met a man that'd change the course of his life. Someone who held the same beliefs and convictions as he did, and had a dream that he needed help achieving. The impressionable young lad took an immediate liking to someone who didn't treat him like a criminal or an outcast, and actually showed compassion and respect for the bond he'd forged with his pokemon. Perhaps blinded by youthful enthusiasm, Val swore a vow to help the mans goal be realized by any means necessary, and he began to work tirelessly as a trainer to get stronger to meet this end. He didn't mind dirtying his hands further, they were already the hands of a criminal, or so his father would say.

Name: Henrietta Durand

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Appearance: Henrietta is fairly tall for a woman at 5’ 10" and is made even taller by the high heeled boots she habitually wears. Life as a trainer keeps her activate, even after settling down as a Overseer, meaning that she is more athletic than one would expect from her at first glance; her arms and legs, when they are visible, are noticeably toned with muscle. Her skin is naturally pale and she has short dark-brown hair and dark-brown eyes; she keeps her hair on one longer than the rest, styling it to fall in wavy locks on one side of her face, dyed with a gradient that starts as dark brown and transitions to caramel at the tips.

Personality: Above all else Henrietta is someone who always seems to display a level of quiet confidence. There is self-assuredness to the way she moves and the way she conducts herself which is displayed in the straightness of her posture, the tilt of her chin and the little knowing smile she often wears; she has a certain poise to her that is hard to describe until you see it for yourself. Whatever impression you get from her however, it is clear that she doesn’t consider herself to be anyone’s lesser.

Henrietta is driven by an aggressive determination which pushes her to move forward no matter who or what is in her way, something which is apparent both in the way she battles and the way she interacts with others. She has a forceful personality and isn’t easily swayed by others; once she has set her mind to something there is little that can divert her unless she makes that decision herself. This can be to her advantage, but it also means she has a bad habit of ignoring the concerns or needs of others.

She feels strongly about things and her emotions tend to be clearly on display, which can get her into trouble or rub people the wrong way. Her temper burns hot but is also short-lived, her mood can be changed drastically by small things but never for too long; she can come across as mercurial at times.

Background: Hailing from the sleepy town of Kronos, Henrietta was born and raised a farm girl. Her parents own and ran a small farm on the outskirts of the town, growing mostly wheat which they would harvest each year with the help of their Pokémon before selling it on to another family to be ground into flour and then sold on again to other towns and cities to be sold in stores. Like most families from that area they were old fashioned and traditional, preferring the use of Pokémon and manual labour to modern farming equipment; they led a quiet, slow life and that was how they preferred thing.

Henrietta did not.

The quiet, quaint way life was lived in Kronos town was anathema to the young girl, who desperately sought a way out and was drawn to the one source of excitement that the town offered; the trainers who came to the town to challenge the Overseer. With nothing else to work with and no other idea of where to go or what to do, she decided that she would travel and become a Pokémon trainer, packing her bags and taking the Mudbray that her parents had given her to help work the farm to conquer the region.

She did not run away from home; that would imply she was secretive about it. Instead she boldly proclaimed to her parents that she would leave to become a trainer and marched out of the town down the main road for all to see.

Life from that point on was exciting and though she did not manage to defeat all eight Overseers and meet the legendary Pokémon atop Mt Calagon as she original intended, she did travel across the entire region, see and experience many things on a journey that eventually led her back close to home and the city of Zhivegas. The Overseer at the time was looking to retire and to find a replacement; Henrietta was in the right place at the right time to be that person and at the age of 22, only six years after leaving home, she become the new Overseer.

Name: Timothy Thorne

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance: Timothy is a little on the short side at only 5’ 6” but makes up for that with an abundance of energy instead. He is physically fit, believing that a trainer must work as hard as their Pokémon and lead by example to succeed. His pale skin is contrasted by his black hair and equally dark eyes; brown, but a shade so dark they appear black at a glance. In terms of clothing he prefers things that are touch and durable, so as to last a while on the road; the only exception to this is his muffler, a red and black scarf given to him by someone important.

Personality: In a nutshell, you could describe Timothy as a hot-headed youth with a chip on his shoulder; energetic and boisterous, he is someone with a lot of passion whose quick temper can often get the better of him. His passion serves him well when it drives him to put effort into a task or when he needs to overcome setbacks, but has also served to alienate him from his peers due to the number of fights he has gotten into with them.

This has led him to become intensely loyal to those who have stuck by him in turn, which for the most part is just his Pokémon; should he make other friends they too will be able to always count on him to take their side, right or wrong.

Background: Growing up in Mercer town, famous for being the home of the illustrious Professor Cypress’ lab, Timothy was constantly exposed to the opinion that Dragon-type Pokémon were the best ever; an opinion that Timothy didn’t really share. It wasn’t like he disliked dragons, he just didn’t have the same enthusiasm and reverence for them that the rest of the Kaidan region seemed to have for them and that often led to him getting into arguments as a child; kids will argue about anything after all and Timothy was always someone to let his temper get the better of him.

Like many young boys, Timothy wanted to become a trainer. Unlike most, he grew up in the same town as a genuine Professor of Pokémon and as such could have had the opportunity of receiving a rare and powerful starter to begin his journey with a head start. Unfortunately, the professor in question was just as dragon-obsessed as the rest of the region and the only starters he offered were Dragon-types. After years of stubbornly defending the idea that dragons were overrated, his pride wouldn’t let him accept a Dragon-type as a starter. Instead he saved up his money to buy a Pokéball, went into the woods on the outskirts of town and caught himself a Pokémon of his own.

With his own starter Pokémon in tow, he set out on his own to become a trainer, aiming to defeat all eight overseers and make it to the top of Mt Calagon without a single Dragon-type Pokémon on his team just to prove a point.

So far, it hasn’t gone well.
Becoming a trainer was harder than he expected and the Pokémon he caught was young and not particularly strong at first. Despite leaving home a full year ago, he is barely in the same league as a trainer just starting their journey and has only managed to catch a single other Pokémon. He has yet to challenge the first overseer and currently doesn’t feel like he would stand much of a chance against them even if he did.

Things have been getting better recently however, as not too longer ago he met up with someone who told him about a group of people who had opinions similar to himself; people who disliked the dragon-revering culture of the Kaidan region as much, if not more than he did. They, like him, wanted to reach Mt Calagon so that they could change people’s opinions and were willing to sponsor trainers like himself to do just that if they joined their group.

Now that he has joined Team Star, Timothy thinks that things are going to start turning around for him.
