Juno; the wife and sister of Jupiter, goddess of marriage, home, and family. The protectress of the nation as a whole while also keeping special watch over all aspects of women's lives; a champion. Alongside Jupiter and Minerva, she was worshiped as part of the divine ruling triumvirate known as the Capitoline Triad. Though she, like her fellow Romans, share similar characteristics with the Greeks, Juno would be the first to pull back her shoulders and crush anyone who would say they were one in the same.
Juno is “Mother”, “Midwife”, “Queen”, and “Light Bringer” the head matriarch that stood atop the throne of the Roman Empire with Jupiter. As matron goddess of the Roman pantheon, Juno oversaw all matters related to the health and growth of the Roman state and the people who comprised it. She provided counsel and was an adviser for the pantheon and empire. Juno herself was the foremost among the goddesses and the principle goddess of the Roman State, viewed as a protector of the lives of women especially those of married life. Serving also as the goddess of childbirth. Viewed as a comforter of women and something of a guardian angel. A savior of the people. Let's see Hera compare. She was particularly associated with the cycles and processes related to women. She blessed marriages, oversaw sexual reproduction, and ensured the safe arrival of children.
There is an instance, of many, in which the Queen of the gods grew envious of her husband when he birthed Minerva. So, in her green hazed rage she turned to Flora; goddess of spring and flowers asking for her assistance in having a child. The goddess of family craved the motherhood she bestowed upon her patrons so much. Flora pressed a flower to Juno's stomach and the rest is history; Mars came into the world and everything was right. Not long after she and Jupiter would parent many more children; Bellona, Vulcan, Juventus, to help cultivate, shape and lead Rome into the future.
At every turn, Juno attempted to thwart Aeneas in his attempted quest to reach Italy and lay the foundations of Rome; partially because he was a major revolving point in the prophecy that stated Carthage, the city with which she loved, would one day be destroyed by Rome, a city to be founded by Aeneas.

Juno witnessed first hand what the Colossus could achieve at a base level when it pulled them down from their pedestals. And it wasn't until news of the first wave of deaths, of the godly kind, and it's growing power reached her ears that she began to take the obelisk more seriously. Being thrown from her home, and then being separated from her family for a time, was something she took great offense to. In all her time on earth among the mortals she spent it continuing her duties as she did when she ruled over the lives of man, alongside her husband. Juno was not one to back down from challenges presented to her and she inserted herself into all aspects of counsel, making the ears of mortals bend to her words and will. All in the hopes of finding her pantheon among those of power. It's where they belonged, so it was fitting place to search. In the meantime, she would press forward with the ideals of rebuilding Rome. For Rome. As well as taking up the armor of protection for the women of the realm.
Early on, Juno started up Solatium, hoping to enact some sort of guidance for the women of the land. In the beginning it was harder than she initially realized, believing that she would be able to lord her status as Juno Regina; though the mortals cared not for grand delusions or so they diagnosed her. For a time, she was on a lower scale of importance when it came to the men of the world. Women were no better than slaves, or the dirt upon which they walked. Juno vowed to take charge of rectifying this alongside every other thing tacked onto her plate. And eventually, her work and the work of others paid off, and women were moving up in the world. With the help of Solatium, Juno was able to take the women who weren't progressing and craved a better life for themselves and their communities and presented to them the opportunities and the means.
Even though she's been successful throughout the centuries, it still wasn't enough. She was still separated from her kin and only recently was able to locate them wholly. While she ran Solatium, she was also a trusted third party counsel and advisor to those that paid her hefty fees and kept an ear out for any chatter that might point her in the direction of her pantheon. Though, lending her services to others put her in a compromising situation, leading to her coming under suspicion of passing along trademarked business secrets for her latest clients. Four years of grueling house arrest and conducting her own research has lead her to finally locate her family. Now that all charges have been dropped and she's been found innocent even though she isn't, specifically in this instance, business is still going strong she's ready for a reunion. A long over due one.

When the Great Wolf, Fenrir, began to run amuck, he first went back to the place where he was born. It is not known what happened to him there, save that when he left, his maddened devouring rage had begun in earnest, and a wolf-woman of the Jarnvidur had borne two wolf-pups, the very image of their father. Sköll and Hatí were thrust into the world. While Hati's name means "Hater". Hati is also sometimes given two different last names - Hróðvitnisson (Son of Rage) and Managarm (Moon-hound).
When Fenrir was chained, Hati and Sköll were the only ones who came to defend him. Loki and Angrboda themselves did not interfere, knowing the necessity of the binding, but the young sons tumbled forth in a vain attempt to free their father. Instead, they were captured by the Aesir, and Odin put them to use, bespelling them as he had bespelled the Great Snake. Sunna and Máni had often been known to dawdle or change their course, which meant that the days and nights were not always dependable and on time. Máni was especially bad at this, as he liked to look down on what was happening, and the adventures played out below his feet enchanted and delayed him. There had been complaints about this from many mouths, and so Odin put the two wolves into the sky as a way to make the chariots run on time, as it were. Hati was bespelled to give chase Máni's dog-cart, and Sköll was similarly charged with herding Sunna's chariot as a dog herds sheep. Making sure they were to keep with their paths trailing across the skies.
While they do not spend all of their time in the sky - when the Sun and Moon are on time and stick to their schedules, the twin wolves were able to run "free" on the earth below - if either sky-etin is late, Hati and Sköll are lifted into the sky to do their job. Until the time of Ragnarök, when they will catch and devour these heavenly bodies.

A terrible calamity befell the earth, causing it to tremble and shake. The stars seemed to fall from their home in the heavens. When ashen white fur gave way to creamy flesh was the exact moment Hati realized something was horribly wrong. An imbalance within the universe. Aside from Máni and Sunna's tardiness. Glancing to his brother and reaching, holding him tight as they descended to Midgard was the only thing he could think to do. Being condemned to walk the mortal realm was just another form of binding. They were not truly free, just as they were never truly free before. Odin was still somehow to blame for this, even though he too suffered at the hands of the Colossus. Roaming the lands, always tethered to the allusive and mysterious obelisk was something that annoyed Hati to no end. He was able to venture and traverse the plane upon which he was stuck, but he wanted more. He wanted true freedom. No longer having to concern himself with Ragnarök and the prophecy he had a hand and bringing about. Now his time was focused on unleashing the blood thirsting tendencies within him. Hati and Sköll have been keen on reuniting with the rest the family, seek their father out in order to provide some sort of comfort for one another. A sliver of muscle memory from before the Fall when the twins had tried to visit while Fenrir was chained up. And to lay into Loki for refusing to lift a finger to help.
Unlike Sköll, Hati took to chasing and the capturing and dealing withs of criminals. A bounty hunter through the ages. Anything that would allow him to run and chase, to hunt and devour. The perfect hound of destruction. Something Odin took advantage of once more, instead presenting the chains of duty as something more glamorous than his previous offer. Head of Security, officially. Unofficially, personal guard dog. For a time Hati complied, easily swayed for the silver tongue Odin adapted over the course of his company spent with Loki. Until he retired and therefore Hati was free to return to a more... morally grey occupation.
