Quote: "You're free to admire us as long as you want."
Name: Colette Lovette
Age: 17
Status: Third Year Student at Knight's Academy
Appearance: Colette isn't exactly someone you can lose easily in a crowd. Part of it is due to her size: she shot up to a massive 6'5" through the past few years, not only putting her taller than most girls her age, but many boys, to boot. She has a slender, athletic build, with the sort of lean muscles built up over years of training, exercise, and running around like a Pachirisu struck by lightning. She has waves of chocolate brown curls, long enough to reach the small of her back, though she often keeps it tied up out of practicality. Her eyes are a bright, mischievous green, and her skin, a shade of warm tawny, is smattered over with freckles. More often than not, her mouth is set in a broad, crooked grin, like she's in on a delightful secret you'll be figuring out very soon.
Rather than dress in skirts and gowns, she prefers to wear trousers, tunics, and coats, thanks to the sheer mobility they offer. She does enjoy getting her hands on new dyes, however, and coloring her outfits as bright of shades as she can possibly manage.
Personality: The first impression most have of Colette is that she's certainly a, ah. A rather...colorful sort, to say the least. An upbeat young lady, Colette marches to the beat of her own drum, and is quite proud to do so. She's bold, a complete social butterfly, and exceedingly playful, prone to lightly teasing the people around her. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and doesn't hesitate to speak her mind, whether for better or for worse. While not unintelligent, she's also terribly reckless, and prone to biting off more than she can chew. Additionally, she's also incredibly confident, and doesn't hesitate to talk up what she sees as her best qualities. Given her cocktail of traits, some might assume she's a bit of a ditz, if not an unfortunate queen bee type.
Colette, thankfully, is not.
While self-assured and careless at times, Colette is also a friendly young lady. She's as quick to praise others as she is herself, and does her best to be mindful of the feelings of the people around her. Insults and barbs often roll off her like water off a Ducklett, though if they're directed towards someone else, she will step up to bat if and when necessary. She's also quite clever when she needs to be, with a strong interest in the study of Pokémon, and the dichotomy between different types and species.
Biography: Even at a young age, Colette was surrounded by Pokémon.
She was born and raised in a small village, to parents who devoted their lives to working with Pokémon- albeit in different lines of work. Her father was a medic, tending to the sick, and patching up the wounds of travelers and townsfolk, along with their close companions. Her mother, on the other hand, devoted her time to researching Pokémon, studying them and diligently writing down her findings. Because of this, it wasn't uncommon for the locals to see a baby Colette toddling after much larger creatures, climbing over them, or, later on, following them up trees.
Colette was still quite young when she first met her partner Pokemon. Still a Larvesta by that point, Dustball had had trouble hatching from his egg, and, as such, was taken in by her parents for supervision. The two immediately bonded, developing a cheerfully vitriolic friendship. Sometimes, after all, your adorably fluffy pet decided to bite you. Or burn you. Or chew your clothes. Isn't that what friendship is all about?
One day, when exploring the woods, Colette found herself pursued by a very unhappy Pangoro. Dustball leaped to action to defend her, and in doing so, evolved into a Volcarona. It was then that the two discovered their Unity connection, much to their mutual surprise. Her parents were delighted when they found out, and wasted no time in shipping her off to Knight's Academy to better learn her abilities.
Partner Pokémon + Unity Abilities: Colette's partner is Dustball, her beloved Volcarona. He's, as Colette would fondly describe him, a bit of a bastard, prone to silent snark, acts of spite, and occasionally acts of (admittedly quite gentle) violence. For all of his attitude, however, he does display care and respect towards Colette, and obeys her when push comes to shove.
Colette's Unity Abilities are based largely around moving fast, and hitting hard. By performing lithe, rhythmic movements, she can pick up speed, and improve her magic temporarily. (Quiver Dance) However, the improved speed can backfire on her sometimes, as if she isn't careful, it can lead to her zooming headfirst into a wall. Another set of movements surround her in flames when performed, though if she focuses, she can instead concentrate this fire and spray it from her cloak (Fiery Dance). This gives her a projectile, at the expense of stripping away her defense. Finally, by striking an enemy with her whip, she can sap some of their energy to heal some of her own wounds, though it's by no means a full restore (Giga Drain).
Her cloak can also function as wings, allowing her to join her companion in the skies. Mostly because trying to use a Bug Pokémon as a mount would just hurt both the trainer and the partner.
Likes: - Bug Pokémon. While she likes all Pokémon, bugs are her favorite. - Clothes. She actually fancies herself an a bit of a seamstress, and happily makes herself new outfits whenever she has the time. - Dancing. This is partly out of necessity, and partly because she finds it really fun. - Exploring. - Celebrations, festivals, etc. - Performing stunts. - Getting to know new people.
Dislikes: - Deceit - Fashion faux pas - The kind of people who use unassuming innocents for their own gain. - When people are terrible for literally no reason. - Close-mindedness.
Quirks: - Soaks up admiration like a sponge. - Has a tendency to hang out with the wrong crowds. - Interested in using silk from Bug Pokémon for use in clothes.

Here she is! I'll probably pretty up the page tomorrow, but for now, I just wanted to get her page in before I went to bed.
@TheNoCoKid Hi there. I was starting on a character sheet for Grimer/Muk when I realized... do Grimer/Muk exist in this Medieval-ish era? Could Medieval River Sewage generate a Grimer, or are they a newer Pokemon created at the dawn of factory pollution? Are there any Pokemon that just don't exist in the time of this rp?
I am not the GM and I can't know for sure how much this world is inspired from Medieval Accuracy, but for a long time in, at least, High Middles ages to Renaissance the water sources were so polluted that people drank only Ales. Lol. So pollution was going strong at least in our timeline.

Tbh, I’m not here to play time cop so I don’t see why a Muk couldn’t exist? Really the only Pokémon I probably wouldn’t allow is Porygon for obvious reasons.
Small detail I don’t think I made clear enough. Pokeballs don’t exist in this region. People just have their respective Pokémon with them. Smaller Pokémon (I.e. Spewpa and Kirlia) can live in the dorms while larger ones (Charizard) stay in the Academy paddocks.

Well, Chaotic and Echoic have yet to start, but I'm happy to discuss relations.
True. TBH, there are also several people who have yet to make their characters so I’m assuming they’re out. As of now, we can work with what we have and go from there.
