Man, it felt nice writing a poem! Well, song, but poem. I haven't written one of those in ages, it feels.

"Nick" decided that he'd rather be Nico on me, so name change, there. And changed Kita's age to 21. Minor thing, but realized that made more sense in her timeline.

And I forgot to ask what season we'd be starting in, so plugged in late summer. Let me know if you'd rather something else, and I'll go in and edit that!

Say, in case you didn't realize it (I know that different electronics load things differently), the site doesn't automatically add any spacing with paragraph breaks. That has to be done manually on here with a double return. Hope it isn't rude of me to say anything! I know that a lot of other writing sites/documents will add that extra space automatically, but here it winds up being just shy of a giant block of text without it. Well, when read on my electronics, anyway. Might be your intention, might not, but thought I'd point that out!

I can't remember if I have to add the spaces in manually or not, because I am so smart like that, but I can totally add them in if that is your wish.

Hey, when you're used to a particular style or auto formatting, it's difficult to do something different for a site or two. I was happy that the tab button works on here because using that is a habit for me in anything not OOC, so I didn't have to adjust that. Though, I'm pretty sure I discovered it's use because I forgot to double-return instead. And there were some times when I was first on here where I started putting the BBC for formatting in my word docs. It just all bleeds over at some point.

If it wouldnt be too much trouble! It would make it a bit easier on the eyes to read.

Most of this is new to me. Most of the stuff I've done in the past was through PMs, and even then it's been a long time since I've really done anything here, so it's really not trouble for me.
PS I forgot to mention, the only reason I was ever able to pick up enough Japanese was because I was living in Japan.

Ah, gotchya. Well, if you have any questions or want any hints/advice, don't hesitate to say something! You haven't done any roleplaying directly trough the guild in a long while? Out of curiosity, have you been using another site, or have you not doing a lot of RP in general of late?

Thanks. I've been here for a while, I was here before it all went down and I was more active here then. But now I'm more active on other sites. Mainly RPNation, but I also use a lot of different sites to find roleplays that end up happening on discord. I went through a long stretch of time where I was very slow to reply to anything, and only had a few going, but now I'm making an effort to be more active.

Japan is the best place ever. Going was the best decision I ever made. I loved nearly everything about it. I miss it so bad. I still try to keep in contact with my host family. XD OOC chatter can be whatever you want. I'm in the US, I'm in Utah, just south of the middle of nowhere. LOL

Well I feel bad making my partners wait so long, I mean what if they give up on me because I don't answer fast enough, that's happened a few times. Haha I do that too. But anywho it's all good, I don't expect everyone to be available 24/7.

Agh I NEVER do one liners, or two or three liners, I can guarantee at least a few good paragraphs. Quality on the other hand...I mean I put my heart and soul into my replies, but you know maybe my partner is way better than me and expects the same level. I dunno I guess I just have no self confidence.

It's all good, get it done on your own time, I have patience. No I really mean I have PATIENCE. I would wait months for a reply, heck I have roleplays from years ago I would pick back up in a heartbeat. Actually I think I do have one going I had to wait a year for haha.

Ah, that's definitely not something you need to worry about with me! It sounds like you and I are in a similar boat, there. I don't have patience IRL with much else, but when it comes to online replies, you won't lose me as a partner from taking a long time. I, too, have waited months or even a good year for a response before! As long as I know you still have interest in the RP, I won't drop a RP just because of that.

I don't know what writing skill level you'd put me on, but, please, with something like that, don't worry about it, especially not with me. While there are of course certain styles I favor over others, as long as I'm not having to interpret what a partner is writing like some ancient tomb written in Atlantean or something, then I'm good. All I ask of a partner is that they put their best foot forward, as you've already said you do! A RP is basically one giant rough draft, anyway.

I'm sure you've heard it before, and I know it's hard to not do, but you should never compare your writing to someone else's. For one thing, I can guarantee that whoever you're comparing it to has put in a different amount of practice toward the craft than you have, one direction or the other. For another, everyone's preference and everyone's voice is different in its own right. In my opinion, a writer should absolutely learn from others' styles, find what we like and pinpoint what seems to work and what doesn't, and incorporate that to further our voice and skills! But we should use that to enhance our own voices, not snuff them out.

Hmm. That all said, if you ever have any friendly suggestions for me, please don't hesitate to share your thoughts! I'm always open to constructive criticism, and on the constant hunt to find ways I can improve. I do know that I tend to over-describe some things--eliminating needless descriptions is usually one of my edits in things I want to take beyond a rough draft, but, well, my IC posts here usually just get one or two quick reads to make sure I'm not missing too many letters or words.

Oh sorry, I think that completely slipped my mind. Yeah he is wearing something that would make him blend well. He's wearing muted greens and browns, a simple tunic, pants, and boots all trimmed with fur, he'll probably have his hair pulled back as well.

I have patience for years, I don't know where it comes from. Besides I tend to get attached to people easily, and sometimes things to depending on what it is. It's really a curse.

Well I think you are an excellent writer. I like to give everyone a fair chance, because you can't expect people to get better if you don't give them the opportunity to.

Yeah I know, I have the problem with comparing myself to others a lot, particularly with art.

Well I shall do that, and if you have any constructive criticism for me feel free to share that. But so far I haven't run into any problems with your replies. I ought to reread things before I post them more, but admittedly I don't always. I just get so excited to post something it slips my mind.

Just to make sure you know, I want to say that I don’t expect you to match the length of my IC post on your next one! I still had some point A to point B to play with for Nikita, but now that we’re in direct character interaction, I know that replies will get significantly shorter.
