@Nika Vulpes

Okay, firstly Myke is the owner of the idea/forum.
Second Naegitime and I are the co-gm's meaning we step in if Myke is busy/asleep etc so we have someone here potentially to keep an eye on things. Myke has the final say but we enforce her rules if need be.

Thirdly, they and I have repeatedly repeated that Myke, likes most. We need to have a plot/ etc in place to roleplay so we follow the story and don't go off the rails. If your one for a more casual thing then you've come to the wrong place.

Fourthly- you've repeatedly harassed Myke to 'get going' as it were and that does not help matters. I understand it can be frustrating, but also you need to be patient and wait for her to start. If it takes months it takes months it just happens.

@Nika Vulpes

First off, no one gave anyone fucking permission to start the roleplay. This is my roleplay, and I decide who starts and when it starts. Not you, not anyone here. I have the final say with what goes on in this thread, and you have been trying to overrun the whole thing since you came. You've been pushing me to start, nagging to just do what you want. And I'm not letting that shit go anymore.

I never said that Snowstep could take over for Muddapple. You just inserted her in, with Muddapple being in a coma or dead or just some reason for him not to be around. When I never said you could do that. You've been trying to come up with plots that might not even FIT into the ACTUAL story because you're so impatient and wanting to start when YOU want to. That's not how things work here.

I get wanting to start, I do, but do not come into someone else's roleplay and demand shit from them, or try to force them to do shit that they're clearly not ready to do. Don't assume shit ether. I'll say when we're ready to start, and we're STILL not yet. I gave a basic plot, and now we have to build off it to make a story. We need to come up with arcs, character points, plot points, all that stuff.

So no, we're not ready to start. We still have groundwork to do before anything In Character happens.

Secondly, Blue and Roxy are my friends. I know them. Therefore, they're co-owners of this with me. They help me enforce the rules, come up with plots (though anyone can suggest things), and keep an eye on things when I'm not around. I still have the final say of what goes on since I'm the owner, but they help out.

I do agree that they should have explained why to things rather than just saying no to you. That wasn't nice nor the proper way to go about it. So I'm fixing that now by explaining to you why things are happening. You wished to understand, here you go then.

Also, roleplay is literally a story. It's not a "game". It's not D&D. It's a story that you and people you write with are doing together. That's the whole point. It's a STORY. That's why you need a plot to drive it home, or it's like reading a book you'll drop quickly.

So we're "going off on you" so much because you're being impatient and trying to rush us. Kindly stop. If you don't like things are going here, you can leave. Go make your own roleplay where you can just hop it and do whatever you want, when you want. Because I'm doing things how I do things here, and if you don't like it, then tough.

Now, please get rid of the starter you made in the IC post because we're not ready to begin, and you have no permission or right to begin something that doesn't belong to you.

If it takes months, it takes months. I'm not going to rush this just to please you or anyone else. I like to have a plot and know where things are going to go. This is a story, a hobby. Yes, it's meant to be fun and enjoyed, but it's also a story. You need a plot and characters for a story. And everyone needs to be on the same page, so shit doesn't derail so far from the plot that it's not even that plot anymore.

I like having a complex story. I like having a lot of arcs, twists and turns, character depth and all that. That's how my roleplays are. And how this is going to be, too. If it takes a bit to get going, it takes a bit to get going. That's fine. But I'm not going to do something I'm not happy with just so we can start this.

If you don't like that, then this clearly isn't the roleplay for you.

1. Myke is in charge. We two are her proxies, here to uphold what she sets in place when she is unable to.

2. Despite us calmly explaining to you how things work, you insist on pushing your own agenda and ideas (such as starting the role-play without asking first if its ok to do so, saying a character will force another to step down or die so your own character can have their position, creating histories with characters without knowing if said histories align with the main plot, things like that.) So of COURSE a great deal of negative feedback will come your way.

3. On this point, both Myke and myself have explained why to you. While I myself am ok with 'seat-of-the-pants' style roleplay, Myke prefers to have a detailed and full line of where the roleplay goes. Otherwise it becomes chaos, and she'd rather avoid that. Unfortunate as the wait is, it is better this way, and we'd appreciate it if you'd not try to rush things. I know the delay can be frustrating, but this is the way Myke wants it done.

4. If you're truly chomping at the bits to start something, then why not reach out to me and we'll do our own little 'seat-of-the-pants' RP so you can flesh out your characters or whatever just to scratch that itch? Much more agreeable than your current course of action, right?

Anyway, hope this clears things up for you a bit, Nika. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

@Naegitime Nah, nah, Roxy. Public. So we all can deal with stuff if needed, and so we don't have to try to message each other. Since it's right there.

It's just so that way if any questions are needed, we can all deal with it at once, depending on what it is obviously. So me, you, and Blue don't have to scramble to try to message each other.

But the characters that are going to cause trouble for other characters are all mine. I guess I'm asking if this is more like a book because in my experience it's very hard to get a roleplay to follow any paced plot without railroading. And with more complicated histories that might apply to other people's characters, like Snowstep, I did ask permission.

I think everyone (myself included) is thinking we're saying things that aren't being received on the other end. I'm not trying to be contentious, it just feels completely ridiculous, which, as I said, is probably a communication issue.

Yes, Myke just said this is a STORY, in other words, a BOOK. This is what I'm refering to when I say you do. not. listen. to what we explain. Are you simply skimming our answers and not really reading them? if so, why do we bother explaining???

You may have asked, but you recieved a negative answer, from what I was told. Did you go with your idea anyway?

No, I do read them.

And what? I swear Myke said ok or sure or something to that effect for Snowstep, and I got no response about Irispaw. I asked permission for both since I knew they each had a less believable backstory. I have made a point of having all of the other characters I've made have backstories involving ONLY CHARACTERS I CREATED. I have carefully avoided looping in unmade characters or other people's characters. Read any of them. If it involves someone else, I asked permission and got it.

I found a different website to RP on. I know it isn't my place to say this, but if you want to do a dedicated co-writing project, don't advertise it as a roleplay. I'll delete my characters when I have time and I reserve the right to modify them to fit into a different story of my own someday if I ever want to write a warriors fanfiction.
Sorry it didn't work out.

Roleplaying like this is co-writing. You're writing a story together with other people. This type of Roleplay is not like a game. It's not D&D. It's not a RPG. It's literally like writing an actual book, but with a ton of people. You're writing something with a group of people. So I can say it's a roleplay, because it still is, but it's not a table-top roleplay. Roleplay isn't like that when written out online like this. It's literal, a story that you're writing together.

There are some differences. Also, I think you are being just a smidge harsh.

Also, if you really want this to be a story, you need history so you don't have 19-24 moon old cats roaming around with literally no experiences to write about. If they were all kits, this would work, the no history thing, but if you are going to make them so old you kind of have to give each of them individual experiences otherwise it becomes kinda bland.

Don't mean to push, do what you like, but that's where I'm at.

I just wanted to apologize. I'm not coming back, but I want to acknowledge that I was a little harsh. I should have tried to communicate better and I should have left before I got stressed and angry. I'm sorry.

It's okay, and I'm sorry too. I was a bit harsh as well. I was going through a lot at the time, and still am, and might have been snippy when I shouldn't have.
